Costco a cashier at the burlington, washington store

Dear Customer Care,

I felt compelled to write the management of your store after my humiliating experience tonight at your Burlington, Washington store.

I entered your store tonight 12/04/2017 on my way home from work. I needed to pick up a few things and I was in quite a good mood because it was my Friday night and I would be off for the next three days. I made my rounds through the store and picked up what I needed. I then proceeded to the cashier station to purchase the things which I had selected along the way. I noted that the cashier was very pleasant with the customers in front of me. As my turn approached I advanced forward and greeted the young man who was servicing the line asking if we needed a box for our items as a convenience. I responded no thanks. I then greeted the cashier and he did not respond with any type of salutation. I thought this rather odd, but whatever? Please note that I am 53 years old man with gray hair and a gray beard. The cashier then ask me for my ID. I kind of laughed softly under my breath because he asked for my ID. I understand it is a requirement to legally ask for ID when purchasing alcohol due to the fact that I had a 48 pack of Kirkland light beer. At this Point I reached into my wallet to retrieve my drivers license. Please understand that my enhanced drivers license is in an enhanced drivers license sleeve which can be difficult to remove. The sleeve protects your personal information. I was attempting to remove the ID from the sleeve when the cashier attempted to take the drivers license from my hand while still in the sleeve. I told him hold on... I can get it. I explained It is difficult to remove because it was in a protection sleeve to protect my identity. He then responded oh ...okay. Once I removed the Driver's License from the sleeve I handed it to the cashier. He looked at it and I figured this would've sufficed for verification that I am 53 years old. He then proceeded to entering personal information from my drivers license into the cash register and I ask him why he had to enter personal information into the cash register. He responded oh ... just checking. At this point I am feeling quite frustrated and rather humiliated with the people behind me in line looking at me odd while I am interrogated by your cashier. Finally I hold out my hand to take my license back feeling as though I had done something wrong.

I have never experienced this kind of rude treatment by any cashier in your store and I never expected to be treated like this before tonight. As I was handed my drivers license the rude cashier still did not even extend a common courtesy of thank you or have a good night...etc...

Bottom line here...someone needs to teach this man some manners. I'll think twice about going to Costco after being treated like this. Please see the receipt that is attached to this email. I believe it contains the information needed to identify the cashier. He was a very big man about 6' 5" working the far north register of the few that were open at the time.

Sincerely,

Timothy A. Schoerner

Costco aloha (or) warehouse customer service is horrible especially manager dave

This store is a disaster. First of all, parking is a huge issue here.

-Then the cashiers and management, DAVE, are extremely RUDE AND CONDESCENDING compared to staff at other Costcos.

Then the BIG ISSUE is where if you don't have a photo on your Costco ID, you cant buy even if you are a member. They use the wrong name (my nickname) on my costco card where it does not match my driver license name. I was told it would not be an issue (as my last name is on the card) when they issued the card but it is now an issue as I cant make my purchases. I look embarrassed when I have to leave the store empty. This store is the only store I know of which have this so-called "policy".

The manager Dave was extremely rude, unfriendly and should not be a manager at all.

Costco yukon queen mattress and costco serviced

Hi,

I had bought a queen mattress from Costco st the roadshow. It has lost its firmness. Yesterday I went to the Fremont Costco with the complaint and they said for this product I need to call Costco services
I did that and they redirected my call to the Costco wholesale, the person took my number and promised a call back. No body called. Looks like no one knows how they provide warranty on this product. Highly disappointed

Costco pharmacy error

I went to the pharmacy tonight dec 4th 2017, to have four prescriptions filled. I advised them of the two new ones I've never had from them, and that I needed all 4 filled. They advised me it would be about a 35 minutes wait. That's fine. I do the shopping I needed done as I had planned to, and came back 35 minutes later. When I can back they pulled them out... but only three of the prescriptions. I asked where the 4th one was. They said there wasn't one. I grabbed them and read them off to know which was not filled. I told them they had forgotten one. They then said no, I just had that filled a few days ago and don't need anymore. What they failed to note is they were two separate prescriptions one is a use as needed in the event of a panic attack, the other is Taken daily to help prevent them in the first place. They say no, that I couldn't have them. Then they got the pharmacist to come up, who confirmed exactly what I had just explained. Now clearly there was an error on there part. I have places to go, and a dog and child to pick up, and they tell me it will be another 35 minutes to fill it when they admitted that they made an error. I told them that was unacceptable, but they insisted it was priority order for who dropped off what... I am confused as to how I didn't drop off that prescription before everyone else... considering I did but now I have to go back to the end of the line and wait another 35 minutes. This is horribly unacceptable. I was late picking up my child from child care and my dog from day care. While they were understandable at the kennel, I had to pay an overage fee for the child care because of the pharmacists error!

Costco manager and cashier

I went to your store in North Riverside, IL # 1153 on 12/3/17. I proceeded to check out with my fiancé Citi card as I handed the cashier Johnathon R. this card he immediately said "You can't use this card without the cardholder present" I explained to him that I would like to speak to a manager because I've done this before without issue. The manager Dalid and I'm not sure if this was his name because he did not have a name tag on which in my opinion is bad representation and unprofessionalism. He advises me to proceed to another register where he would check me out and that until I receive a card in my name this will happen everytime. I prefer not to have this card and if the policy is not to allow me to use it that's understandable, but do not inconvenience me for reasons other than the fact that you have the ability to do so. This was unnecessary. He was being rude and argumentative and kept implying that I get my own card. I was very irritated and dissatisfied with his tone and behavior and I will not shop with Costco again.

Costco earthbound organic spring mix, 1lb, tripple washed

Dear Customer Service,
On Dec 1 2017 in the evening I bough a pack of Earthbound Organic Spring Mix, 1Lb, tripple washed, product of USA&Mexico, which said use by Dec 07.
I purchased this at Pentagon City, 1200 S Fern Street, Arlington, VA 22202, Store # 233.
After retrieving said article from the cool room where Costco keeps its produce, I checked out, drove home (in about 45 deg weather) and put the container in my fridge.
2 days later, on Dec 3 2017, I proceeded to prepare a salad with that spring mix. Great was my surprise to find that about 50% of the salad mix was wilted (black) and mushy. Not in one corner of the pack, but evenly distributed across the whole contents. I had to was all the leaves again, in small batches, and pick out one by one those leaves which were still usable.
This is RIDICULOUS. A product which should be used by Dec 07 is 1/2 bad by Dec 03?
Do you have any explanation?
Thanks for reading this.

Costco customer service at costco.com

I have been trying to call costco.com regarding my order from the last couple of days and each time it is over 1hr delay. I have tried to reach them via chat and that has not helped either as keeps saying searching for an available agent.
We all know it is the holiday season, but we need to be prepared in advance for such times and not keep their customers hanging for hours!

Costco customer service at matthews costco #367

My mom has a membership to Costco and put items from Costco on her Christmas list we went in with her to pick out the items while she waited at the checkout. We went to the checkout where she presented her customer ID and credit card(which is a joint account that we all share that we used to pay) and we're told that we could check out as long as she presented her ID. We had her leave so that we could keep the presents a secret and the cashier named Lori H. Very rudely told us that she would allow us to check out but guests were not allowed to shop even if they are with the member. She proceeded to rush me through paying telling me went to insert my card and when to remove it even though I can read and know how to operate a credit card machine. We were tempted to leave the items and go to Sam's instead where they have almost the same items at the same deals. Having not shopped here before I told my father the husband of the member that I would never shop here nor pay for a membership and he says that they will not be renewing their membership. It was very clear that Lori H had no holiday spirit and acted like a total Grinch. -20/10

Costco defective product

To whom this may concern

I had purchased a Samsung Curved UHD TV from Costco on June 07, 2017. However, roughly four months later the TV unexpectedly projected horizontal and vertical lines on the right-middle area. I brought back the TV to Costco in Orland Park for either repair or exchange, but they said it's out of its 90 day return policy although to my knowledge it's still covered under the 2 year warranty provided by Costco. They advised me to contact Costco Concierge for technical support. After my phone call with Costco Concierge they decided to send Samsung's third party technicians to my home to diagnose the TV. Samsung's third party technicians came and evaluated what they had seen followed by a report sent to Samsung. Later in the week Samsung called stating that the TV had physical damage and is not covered under warranty. I told them that the TV never had been exposed to any physical damage, but due to its poor design making it fragile resulting in screen damage from simply unboxing and setting up the curved TV gently. The dispute went on with their representative who wasn't understanding and not willing to understand the situation. So I asked him to give me an estimate of the repair cost and he surprisingly gave me the phone number of the same third party company who diagnosed the TV earlier which evidently proves the conflict of interest and explains why they decided to report their diagnosis as "physical damage". Interestingly, the repair cost was more than the cost of buying a new TV a grand total of ($618) where the TV itself costed only $606.

I decided to file a complaint with the consumer protection office and BBB, however, the officer advised me to try to solve the problem with the seller first but if the seller failed to fix the problem then they will step in to proceed with an official complaint against the seller.

For more than 10 years I have been an extremely grateful Costco member and never had a single problem since Costco has always been very helpful and known to stand for the rights of their dearly customers. I truly hope this problem can be resolved simply without further ado .I'm asking all CEO's and managers to help me and my family regain trust in Costco which we dearly love to heart and forever remain a grateful member for many more years to come.

I appreciate your cooperation.

Hi Khalid. It's good to make your acquaintance.

First let me say I can appreciate your frustration. No one makes a purchase thinking the merchandise will only last six months. Within the first year of ownership, however, your warranty is entirely handled by the manufacturer (Samsung), utilizing authorized service centers.

Contrary to what you may think, when a product is serviced under warranty, the servicer is still paid for both parts and labor. They must submit certain information to the manufacturer, as well as send back any defective parts, but it's to their benefit to complete the repair. If the problem is with abused merchandise however, it becomes impossible to submit the defective part(s) for reimbursement.

Based upon the price, I'd guess the model purchased is a 6500 series, likely a 55. If you can still grab one on sale, you'll likely be around similar pricing, although I like Sony's line a little better. You can currently find Sony's 720E model priced about the same, but for about $300 more they have a 900E model that's absolutely beautiful.

Costco tv delivery

I ordered a TV from COSTCO.com with the understanding it would be delivered in 7-10 days. We are now at day 9 and I cannot reach ANYONE at Costco or CEVA delivery for an update. My mistake for not ordering from a local store. Time to cancel orders and go elsewhere. Terrible customer service. I expected so much more from Costco. I can't get any answers from anyone

Costco membership desk associate

I approached the membership desk at Costco St. James with my sister and the staff saw us but took a while to come to us. She then went on her computer, and kept typing, did not even recognize us. We were standing right in front of her. A couple was behind us and approached the second desk, and so the other staff attended to them. After the long wait, this woman at the first desk finally recognized us. But instead of asking how she can help, she told us to stand behind the other people in line (the couple who waited in line after us who are being helped by the second staff) and wait for our names to be called. I became so irritated but kept my composure. We were the only people in line and have been ignored for a few minutes until other customers came. This staff did not even apologize for ignoring us and then made another rude remark and tried to push us around. She eventually did her job which she could have done without being needlessly rude to executive members.

Costco costco water / d&s

We signed up for water delivery service through Costco Lantana FL. Delivery was ok until this Fall, we requested delivery for 3rd week of October and I cancelled Nov 30 after 3 broken promises on delivery dates. I'm still waiting for them to pick up the equipment. Horrible customer service and is giving Costco a bad name. You'll see on Yelp the reviews are uniformly terrible. Please fire them and replace them. Thanks.

Costco store personnel

I went to the Madison Heights Michigan store for the first time and signed up for the Exec Membership. I started to look around the store with my wife. About 10 minutes into our look around I was standing near the end of an aisle. One of the stock men almost drove his pallet carrier into me . He then told me to "get out of the way" and proceeded to drive his cart into a nearby pallet. I could not go forward or to the side as I was blocked by him. I started to move backward to get out of the way, and I found my feet tangled in another carrier that had been parked directly behind me. Needless to say, I took a backwards header and landed square on my back. The 2 didn't seem to care much about the incident. I pulled myself together and went back to shopping. I could not be more disappointed. I am done with Costco after 10 minutes. I will call tomorrow to cancel my membership. Member #[protected].

Costco return of online purchase

Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am sharing my experience on Dec 3, 2017 at:
1420 N RENAISSANCE BLVD NE, ALBUQUERQUE, NM [protected].

I returned 2 recently purchased items bought online and it took more than 25 minutes for the Costco person to facilitate the return. I admire the help by other associate ( Ms. Rose) who stepped up for help at my request.
In retrospect, I should have donated those 2 items to charity rather than standing there watching this lady fiddling with computer and wasting my time. You can imagine the frustration of everyone in line behind me.

Costco staff takes it as granted that Online return will take more time.
I hope I do not buy anymore on-line at Costco Website till the company improves its return process for items bought on-line.

Costco needs to streamline the return for items bought online. Main issue is not about any person, but your processes.
I hope Costco leadership will appreciate my feedback.
Regards,

Anju Manral

Costco christmas tree

On December 1st, 2017 my husband brought home a Christmas Tree (San Marcos, CA) and as we unraveled it a huge majority of the pine needles fell everywhere on the floor. After cleaning up the entire mess that led from our car to our front door and wrapping the christmas tree back up and placing it back on top of our car, my husband and I felt at those we should be reimbursed for our time. My husband called the store the following morning, and instead of a manager attempting to understand and respect our concerns and wishes, he informed my husband that our tree problem was "the nature of the beast" and we couldn't just bring the pine and needles in. My husband then asked what would happen if we bought another tree in and the same issue occurred, the manager responded, "we'll cross that bridge when we get there." I shop at Costco every week and was completely and utterly shocked at the lack of customer service we experienced. I'm filing this complaint because I would like to be reimbursed for my time as well as the extreme unprofessionalism my husband had to deal with. As a former employee in the restaurant business I know that this was uncalled for, and hope that Costco does not treat the rest of their customers like this. Pictures were too big to post but can be seen on my Yelp review of this location

Actually Costco does not sell actual Christmas trees; I believe, in most cases, they lease their parking areas for seasonal business' which sell the trees.

I can understand that the nature of the product is going to have pine needles falling from the tree; I'd never expect an establishment to reimburse me for lost time because off it. At best, I'd think all one might ask for is a simple exchange.

Costco no live christmas trees

12/3/2017
Every year we go to Costco to get our Christmas tree. This year there are no more live trees, one week after Thanksgiving. She said there were plenty of places to still get one, but not at Costco. I don't have any desirable resolution for this other than being pissed off and writing a hate email unless you want to send me $75.00 because now I have to go to some tree lot on the side of the road. If you can think of a desirable resolution let me know.

Costco kirkland shelled pistachios

As a long time Costco member and lover, I am disappointed in the quality of the shelled pistachios. I regularly purchase many Kirkland products, and am always happy. Today I purchased the shelled pistachios for $13.99, and upon opening them, they are rubbery. I regularly eat pistachios in the shell, but decided to buy these, as to not brek any more nails opening them up.
This is the first Kirkland product I am disappointed in. I thought maybe I was crazy, but I asked my husband and son to try them without saying anything. They both said they were not crunchy, but rubbery too.
I tried to find places to offer Kirkland product feedback, but it is like looking for a black hole. Their customer service is not open on weekends, and I felt I needed to tell someone. If this is how shelled pistachios are, then give me them in the shell. I am disappointed in this product, and will not buy again. The code says JUL 25 2018 batch ADM0001 VIN#63857 01. Just saying, these are not right - must have moisture or something, as they are just an awful texture.

Costco cello parmesan grated cheese 3lb. 2-1.5lb bags item 949025. lot #7 21501b01.

We have been a long term (many years) consumer of this product and always found it to be superior until our latest purchase, about 2 months ago. Due to the change in packaging I read the product info and was surprised to find this is now a product of Uruguay, Lithuania, Argentina, Italy. The quality if this product is not acceptable. The flavor is poor. It lacks the characteristic "nuttiness" this cheese always had. We will purchase a superior product elsewhere. You need to replace this product. Thank you.

Costco food court

I ordered a pizza online and drove 30min to pick up.
But the staff said they didn't get my order. I even showed the call record - which is attached here - on my phone but annoyingly the staff told me to go to the line and order pizza again. My family was waiting for me in my car.
It was the worst experience ever with Costco. I am disappointed soooo much and just left the store, heading to other pizza store.
Because of the bad experience, all my family was down and it made our happy day so bad.
I dont think Costco wants to give that experience to any other customers.
Now I won't order online because if they just say they didnt get my order, I will be fooled again.
I cant trust the online order. I will share this with my neighbor.
Inparticular, the staff seems to think my time is just nothing. I didnt want to wait another hour waiting for the pizza in line. At the same time, people were there and they all witnessed it and I felt shame on ot.
Please correct this issue, Costco.
