Cost Cutters Hair color

Holly did my hair on 1/20/24 - she charged me $90 for a color and highlight. The color has now fallen out completely and I called today to make an appointment to come for a color but to leave out the hair that was highlighted so my hair would still have highlights. I was told the price for that would be $182! When I asked why, I was told by Ginger that Holly charged me incorrectly and she didn't use a filler or toner (or something like that) and that's why my color fell out. I told her I would have no issue paying the difference between what I already paid and what the correct price is, but since they made a mistake and that's why my hair isn't holding the color, that I didn't see how it was fair that I had to pay the full price when my original price was 1/2 that. Ginger got an attitude with me and said "NO, YOU WOULD BE PAYING ME TO DO IT! NOT HER!" - and further explained if I would have come in last week, she could have done it for free... so last week you can do it for free, but this week you can't do it for the adjusted correct price when you guys messed up? I want my money back for my original process so I can take it to someone who can handle my hair appropriately.

Cost Cutters Service

Today, Sunday, October 15th, 2023., I went to the Cost Cutters Hair SA, 2785 Milwaukee, Rd, Beloit, WI. 53511.

I arrived there about 10:50AM. I set up a hair cut the day before via phone. When I first arrived, I saw there was a 20% OFF All Products. We prefer to use Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner so it made me happy. When I arrived Ashley stated that there was another hairstylist that was suppose to be there but running late. I did not get her name, although when she arrived she was wearing a see-through white shirt with a black bra. I told Ashley that I had an appointment. She showed me a paper that stated that for the first hour they do not make appointments.

I had to wait until she took another guy before me. And my husband has been there before and received a military discount. Ashley stated that "she will not give me a military discount because she does not discount her service."
The other lady finally got there. She was late because she had to wain in line for Starbuck's coffee. I am shocked to know that your company is ok with people being late due to a Starbuck's run. Anyways, Ashley took me and gave me the worse haircut I've ever had. There was also a bee around us and I am deathly allergic to bee stings. I told her that as I moved away from the bee. She told me that I hit her. I'm sure with me waving my arm around that is possible. I apologized.

I also told her that people normally wash my hair before cutting it. She told me it was an extra $7 for this to be done. I am not sure why some people from Cost Cutters gives a military discount and others don't.In closing, this was the worse haircut, customer service and all around experience I have ever had. I will not be going back to a Cost Cutters ever again.

I can get an accurate haircut with great customer service for a lot less.
The picture are a copy of the receipt and how my hair looks after the haircut.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology and my money back. The receipt was for $21.00. As you see in the photo I paid $21.00.

Cost Cutters Very rude people smell like drugs

They was very rude I went in and set up appointment and answer the phone rude I went in face-to-face instead of appointment smell like marijuana smell like drugs Austin sits in his car smokes and drugs they are rude they don't worry about nothing they don't worry about the customers all they worry about is drugs the stores ran down and they just don't care

Cost Cutters Hair cut. Highlights, color

August 20th 2023 at 12pm. My 16 year old daughter was to have here roots done which was bleached then red highlights, bright red which had been done by costcutteers before. This woman today did not bleach here roots. Put red in her hair along with the black. Washed all together. When the hair styles was done you could not see the red at all. She tried to re do the hair bit still did not use bleach, was the same outcome. The hair cut was bad as well and she did not do my daughters bangs as asked. I was charged over 100 dollars. I was so upset and heart broken that I don't remember the charge. My daughter was upset. I had to dye her hair black and cut it myself as she has first day of school the next day. I have pictures of what it was supposed to be and the outcome today

Desired outcome: Refund or another stylest do do the hair right at half the cost at least.

Cost Cutters Hair cut was as horrible as her attitude.

Came in to get my hair cut. Rachel had cut it twice before and although she wasn't really personable, I wasn't unhappy with the cut. Of course my wife was with me those times and she would have said something had she been with me yesterday. As Rachel's mood was rude and she acted like she'd never done my hair before. Instead of cutting it the way she did before and as I was asking her to do, she kept making uneven adjustments, including cutting it so it would part on the side. I had to remind her, I don't wear it that way. She surprisingly ask me how do I wear it, when it was her who pointed out the last time, the style is like George Clooney's, so it would be easy enough to do. Having to say, I don't wear it to the side, with one swipe and attitude, she combed the bangs, strait down and said sarcastically, "Like that!" I said yes, but the hair cut was only getting started and I must emphasize...this is only the second worse hair cut I've gotten in Tucson. Behind the person I went to, prior to going to try her and see it that mess could be fixed. But unfortunately only so much could be done I guess at the time, so I went back with my wife again, after it had grown some, and I was satisfied with the result. But yesterday...she butchered my hair and because it's now to short at the crown, longer on one side and I have what amounts to bangs, when all I wanted was it to all be the same length...I'll never go back. My wife is nearly as upset as I am by how bad it is, once she saw how it looked after I got out of the shower. Hair was still falling out prior, because she didn't even bother to blow off the excess, as it has been customary in finishing the job...if you care. I should have asked for a mirror there or better still, she should have offered one, to see the damage in back. Man, I hope my work got in some new hats; it's really that noticeably bad. There's just no justifying how it came out.

Cost Cutters A horrible experience and haircut

I went to the Leominster cost cutters yesterday around 11-12. My stylist had a hard time sopaking and understanding english. I asked for a haircut that has the feathered and layer look and asked for half of the length to be cut off the sides. I needed to tell her to keep going shorter and she didn't understand what I was asking for the layered steps to blend. I even showed her what I was taking about showing her my friend that was sitting right there. She also has her hair the same way. I know look like I have a small bowl cut on my hair. The layers don't blend and she left long pieces on the side of my hair. I want a refund to say the least. Thank you.

Cost Cutters Haircut/hair color

So I went to get my hair colored / hair cut on Sunday July 1st 2023, & the lady was great service was great but I have never the amount I paid for what she has done! I keep wondering if it is inflation or if they overcharged me but I ended up paying 190$ the haircut was 50$ & 1 all over hair color was 130$ the 190$ is not including tip or a product I bought. I thought it was cost effective but I guess not! I usually pay the most is 120$ for hair dye & haircut and that was one time but when I usually go it’s 100$. I asked her how much will it be for balayage. Will it be around 200? She said yes so I have to pay 400$ ugh really frustrated deciding if I want to go back for the balayage!

Desired outcome: Please refund me half or store credit or something why am I gonna pay 400$?! Like I said I thought this was a cost efficient place!

Cost Cutters Haircut voucher not accepted

I purchased the 3-pack haircut vouchers in October 2022. The valid dates for the vouchers is 09/01/22 - 06/30/2023. I used two of the vouchers. I went to the cost cutters on June 23, 2023 to use the last one. The business was closed, shut down permanently. No other location will accept this voucher. I was told the vouchers can only be used at the location where they were purchased. I am a member of their reward program, so they have my contact information. I was given no notice of closure of this store. I have submitted several times through the Contact Us on the cost cutters website and app. I have received no reply. Other locations are unwilling to give a corporate phone number to me. They are not cooperative in helping resolve this problem. No one will take the voucher I bought. I paid for three haircuts when I bought this 3 pack of haircut vouchers. I used only two of them. Cost Cutters owes me a haircut or a refund for the cost of one haircut.

Desired outcome: I want a refund for one haircut, or a haircut with no charge.

Cost Cutters Service

I have been in your facility twice now and both times I was in there my rights as a disabled person with a service dog have been violated my service dog was distracted and as i corrected your staff they thought that it was funny to distract her and then proceeded to very hateful and rude about my services after that both times causing a medical episode this time causeing several medical episodes then thought it was funny that this was going on i am protected under the federal law Americans with disabilites act of 1990 as a business dealing with the public i would have thought they would be trained better than this I will also be filling an incident repot with the federal Ada as well i would greatly appreciate if u have any questions to please email me and I would also like to know that this was handled properly my email is [protected]@gmail.com thank u

Cost Cutters Haircut hair color hair lightening

Sat. June 10th 74.00

I took pictures of hair style and color i wanted. She totally did what she wanted to do that looked nothing like what I wanted color or hair cut. I wrnt back explaining in detail again and thought she understood. She intially colored my hair over light brown with some gray using two swatches of light all over color instead of doing a highlight. My hair ended up ly browm with red. My hair cut was snipped here and there maybe 10 xs. Nothing like layered cut shown. 2nd x came back explained again and that it was what i wanted. She did all over highlight charging for partial. I asked for lt ash blonde..my hair is orange and yellow!

I paid 80.00 first time & 78.00 2nd x.

Way too much for terrible outcome!

Want money back this last time.

Cost Cutters Hair cut

Hello my name is Amy, I came in for a hair cut on 5/22/23, and asked for face framing and light on layers. The lady told me that she could do it and that it wouldn’t be a problem to make sure I could still put my hair up. After she was done cutting my hair it looked fine, until I got home I noticed it was halfway done and I was wondering why it was such a quick hair cut to be honest but I just thought oh she probably just knows what she is doing but, no not the case my hair was very very uneven. My face framing made me look like Dora it wasn’t blended with the rest of my hair.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a refund and maybe someone who actually cares about other peoples appearance and are considerate.

Cost Cutters Horrible experience

I attended the Cost Cutters in Buda, TX (HEB shopping center) on Saturday March 11, 2023. I believe I was the only customer there at the time. The other customers had just finished up and were leaving. I asked for a hair cut. The stylist said she needed to wash my hair. I asked if I could get my hair cut dry. She rudely said she could not. Then two other stylists chimed in and said that they had never heard of any stylist cut hair dry. I then asked if the stylist assigned to me could spray my hair wet instead. She rudely told me no again and said that she needed to wash my hair. I told her that I didn't want my hair washed. She asked me if I wanted someone else to cut my hair. I asked the other stylists if they wanted to cut my hair and they ignored me. I started to get out of my seat and walk out. They were irritated with me for changing my mind and not wanting my hair cut anymore. I decided that I didn't want to do business with them.

I think that their behavior was extremely unprofessional and to the point of bullying. They were pressuring me into getting my hair washed. I'm guessing for a bigger tip. I am so glad I didn't go through with it.

I need to report this because their behavior is not okay.

Desired outcome: I would like a response and to be able to write my review through Google. For some reason, I can't leave a review for this particular location. People need to know about their unprofessionalism.

Cost Cutters Blow dry

On Saturday, November 29th I went to Cost Cutters for a shampoo, cut, blow dry & eye brow wax. My hairdresser was excellent, and the total charge was $52.00 (+ tip). 8 days later I returned for a Shampoo & Blow Dry & the total charge was $45! Naturally, I disputed this. The Manager was called and explained all sorts of things that were nowhere in writing on the price board. (Shampoos and Eye Brow waxes weren't listed at all) She said that a Blow Dry came under the head of "Styling" which was $22+... I explained that I had the same, exact style that I came in with - the one I had paid for 8 days ago. Then she said it was due to the thickness of my hair - also, the same as it was 8 days ago. Finally, she said that I had received a bargain the week before because I was undercharged! The prices are apparently very arbitrary (this has happened to me before at Cost Cutters). I have been a loyal customer, only ever having my hair done elsewhere during Covid, when my Cost Cutters was closed. I will be returning to that Salon as their prices remain consistent. Honestly! $45 for a shampoo and blow dry? I was there for 20 minutes!

Cost Cutters Eyebrow wax

I took my daughter to Waverly, Iowa location asked about if they had time to do an eyebrow wax. There were 2 ladies working one on a haircut and the other at the desk with no one waiting. I asked if she had time to do an eyebrow wax and she proceeds to go um probably not with an attitude and just stared at me. I said ok then guess we are leaving! Very rude and disrespectful!

Desired outcome: Dont be rude and disrespectful if you are booked just say so and handle it a lot better!

Cost Cutters Kids haircut

I brought my daughter to Cost Cutter's in Lake Geneva, WI on Sunday 10/16/22 for a hair cut while we were out of town. I am noticing that the length is very uneven. I paid cash since my discover card was not accepted, I am trying to locate my receipt. I paid $21 (kids hair cut plus tip)

Cost Cutters inability to redeem earned reward points

have tried repeatedly over the past several months to redeem earned reward points to no avail. an told by the local store this is also happening to other customers. the app only will allow "booking" an appt (the wait time is never accurate) with no access to the points earned. cost cutters is stopping the reward program on short notice effective 10/20/22. no luck contacting corporate as no one is available to help per the recording received. I am out over $10 of earned rewards (I could really use that money) but apparently cusomer service is a thing of the past. money rules not customer satisfaction.

Desired outcome: I want my $10+ dollars that I have earned but have zero faith that cost cutters will comply.

Cost Cutters Got overcharged for child haircut and wash

Booked online for appointment at Atascacita Commons location for 6 15 Saturday October 8th. Got to location and told Josefina I wanted to get straight across haircut for granddaughter.. I explained she wanted to be snow white for Halloween. She asked if we wanted I asked if it was extra because we had just washed it that morning she said its up to you.. so she washed my 8 year old hair and gave her cut after 20 min I saw she was done I walked back to her station and asked Brielle if she liked it Josefina was taking out her dryer and I told her we dont blow dry Brees hair because it is so thick.. We were running later for B Day party so I took out 30.00 cash and asked her how much. She said 29.90.. I was in shock.. last time I took her to cost cutter in Kingwood al little over a year ago it was less than 15.00.. I paid her $33.00 (added tip) when she saw I had cash she reached across to credit card machine and pushed a button.. She offered me no receipt I would have normally asked but we were in a hurry.. After talking to friends at party they agreed I was overcharged.. I am very disappointed with this establishment

Cost Cutters Service received and pricing

My daughter and I have been going to cost cutters for many years. I feel that the last 2 visits I have been ripped off. There is no reason that my Cost Cutters bill for a toning and bang cost should be over $75 dollars. I called around to high end salons in this area and they wouldn’t have charged this amount! The stylist and manager (Ginger) whom we have trusted is now adding little additional fees here and there. For example, she never asks if we want blow dried yet does it half way (my daughter’s hair was still damp and wet underneath) and charges us for a $30 style. Also, the toning only took to her bangs. Something is off and needs looked into… I have lost all trust in the Marketplace/ Aurora, Ohio location. The stylists there do not have the skills to be charging what they charge and robbing people like that will cause that place to go out of business. Writing this before I write a review in hopes of a resolution because this is very wrong!

Cost Cutters Filthy salon

I had an appointment at Cost Cutters Salon, Oak harbor Rd. Fremont OH at 3:00 pm today 9/26/2022. The 2 stylists that were on duty had a great attitude and the one who cut my hair did a good job but I would describe the salon as being filthy. There was hair laying around on the floor and it looked as though it's been quite some time since it was mopped. Even the mirrors at each station were dirty. I felt quite uneasy thinking the chairs and implements were probably unsanitary.

Desired outcome: Speak with the employees about the importance of cleanliness and sanitation.

Cost Cutters Hair cut and customer service

I have two boys who have picture day tomorrow 9/26/22. I went to the Cost Cutters in the Northgate Plaza in Missoula Montana. I could not believe how rude the elderly lady was! She asked what we would like I said a tight fade with it blended to the top and she used a 1 and went all the way up to the middle of my sons head! She took 3 minutes total to do this haircut! Did not listen to anything that we requested. I’m planning on calling the manager on Tuesday when she will be in. My youngest had a haircut that he could probably do himself! Both haircuts were less than 5 minutes and were horrible. I’ve never seen anything so bad! The lady was rude and was impatient and acted like we were such a bother for her. She either hates her job or just likes making people feel miserable. My son cried after leaving this place! This lady needs to be removed from working with the public! Especially poor kiddos! I’m so upset
