CooperVision - Rebate scam

After receiving a virtual card for the contact rebates, and not being able to use the rebate card on purchases at a known legitimate business, I did not reattempt to use the card until I decided to check the balance one day to find that all of the rebate money had been spent on unauthorized purchases I did not make. I spent 3 hours on the phone to be told to fill out a dispute form to reiterate the fact that I made zero purchases with the virtual rebate card, to probably never see the $40 from a contact rebate that they decided sending a physical hard card would be too complicated.

CooperVision - Rebate

This is insane. I have seen a half dozens complaints here already. Its obvious their rebate is a scam. I purchased their over priced daily lenses for my husband. Spent over $500. To get a $200 rebate. Sound too good to be true? Its is. You will never see the $200 folks!

I filled everything out online and uploaded it. The long story short... Every day for the past four days I get a new email... "one more thing missing." nothing is missing. I fill out rebates all the time. The only thing missing is the lost $1500+ by me, daughter and son not also buying these contact lenses.

I had two questions these scammers couldn't answer. The first, "husband needed and exam, then an rx, then they placed the order for the large quantity of lenses, then coopervision mailed them to my house." so why do you keep asking me for all of these things as proof of spending the $ on the required product? You mailed it to my house in his name.

My second question, "has anyone ever actually successfully gotten the $200 rebate?" the nice lady on the phone replied, "well I dont know." apparently she works for criminals but shes honest.

Do not buy their product! You will never see the rebate! The last email said I completed all the steps and yet another part of their company will be contacting about what I need to do next for my rebate. Disgusting they can get away with this. I guess the game is people will give up.

Insane is the only word for it. I have received my rebate previously, but the process is made so complicated, I believe on purpose, so most folks never get the rebate. I registered for my rebate this year... included name, address phone, email. I submitted photos of my receipts which also include all my contact information. I never got confirmation of my submitted, and when I contacted the rebate processor, they told me I “missed” the final submitted step. I have now completed all the steps and have received notification that my rebate was approved... so send me the damn card. but no, I need to go on-lube and claim my rebate card. and after I claim the card... I receive another email with a “code” number that must be entered to confirm it’s me! well, you from an iphone, you can not retrieve the “code” from your email and then enter it into the verification screen. when you leave the verification screen to retrieve the code, when you go back to the verification screen, you are told the code is no longer valid. when I called to complain, I was told I need to use two devices, one to retrieve the code from my email and another one to input the code. ridiculous! this process is designed so the rebate is ultimately lost. i’ve told the rebate processor I want someone from management to call me so I can give them a piece of my mind. i’m also going to call coopervision customer service and complain about this process, and let them know that I won’t ever bu coopervision again if they don’t fix this dumb process. i’m going to call my optometrist and complain too. if her wants to keep my business, I expect he complains to coopervision too. there is absolutely no excuse for this crappy process, except of course, the vendor does not really want to pay the rebate. shame on you coopervision!
