I received a notice from my bank that I was overdrawn and went on to my online banking and found a charge for $149.00 I never authorized anyone to take money out of my account electronically. Now my checking account is overdrawn by $200.00. I am going to my bank, but I doubt if anything will happen.

I applied for a payday loan online and was denied. The next day my checking was over drawn $149. I never authorized this transaction. My bank, Bank Of America, was very helpful. They put a stop payment for Consumer Trust, even though it went thru so they couldn't do it again. They didn't charge me for the fee. Then I filed a dispute and in about 7 days I was refunded and credited for the bad check fee. If this happens to you. Call your bank and put a stop payment on the charge. If it's still pending you have a good chance of getting this stopped, and hopefully your bank will waive the fee.

I was checking my online banking one day and saw that $149.00 had been taken out,but I had nothing.. So I called these people and they said I would have to send in a written statement requesting a refund which I did,but never heard anything, so I contacted my bank about this. They were excellent and did deposit the $149.00 back into my account.. But then consumer trust continues to take out 2 different charges the first one is 58.93 and the second one is 49.95 and they want stop.. And there going to get in trouble for this, because they have been told to stop and this is now being considered as unauthorized charges. They were plainly told to cancel anything that had my name or my spouse's name on it and to this day there still trying to take money out of my account. So BEWARE!!! Stay away from people like this! Things like this is what will keep you overdrawn at your bank..

This company is the biggest scam! I did to find a charge for 149.00 on my online statement 2 weeks ago. I did not authorize this charge. I filled fraudulent charges with my bank, they investigated it, and refunded me the money. I also closed that account, so that they would not charge my bank again. NOW, they are calling me everyday, threatening me asking about my next payment. I think NOT! Now, they have no way of getting my acct info. Be very careful when applying for payday loans online. That is how they get your information. I have called the payday companies that I have dealt with in the past, and they said they were not affiliated with CTC. They do need to be investigated and shut down!!

The same thing just happened to me on 11/06/07... the office hours that they give you are from 10 to 6:30 pm.. nice hours for someone who works there... They'll tell you what they told me that someone called the number and you now have a credit card with them and its their one time membership fee... As of yesterday I was unable to reach an understanding with them... hope you have better luck!

This company took $149.00 out of my account and I did not authorize it. I called them and was on hold for about an hour. They make you flip through burning hoops to get your money back. It has been over a month and I still have not received my refund. This stupid company even had the nerve to send me there credit card after I told them to cancel out this unauthorized account.

I have had the same thing happen to me after filling out a pay day advance and paying it off. I don't understand how they got my info when I didn't received an e-mail or anything? I have called my bank and they will credit me back . Thats what they say, but we'll see. This company needs to go down for causing so much trouble for so many people.

I checked my account the other day, and I saw that there was a $149.00 debit. I did not authorize this deduction, and I am going to get to the bottom of this. I expect to get a reimbursement from the company, or I will hire an attorney.

I called my bank and will file the forms that i needed to disputing the money this company took, its the second time. The 1st time i had to close my account so now they do it again. I cant keep closing accounts, why cant we all somehow get with each other, i mean i write to each other and file a class action suit against these people for fraud and theft. Can we do that, sue them even if we are in different states? Lets do it, anyone that wants to let me know...

I had received an email from Consumer Trust Financial saying that "funds would be debited from my account..." after applying on line for a payday loan. I hadn't heard of Consumer Trust Financial, and certainly did not give this company any of my banking information! There was a number listed in the email to call if I wanted to cancel before funds were withdrawn, so I did, and received a cancellation confirmation number. Two weeks later, the money STILL was taken from my account! That was when I investigated who they were and how they got my information and why they were able to access my checking account?! I called Consumer Trust Financial and was on hold for 1 hour, then spoke to "Alan", who told me there had been a "glitch" in their system, and noted that I DID in fact cancel and the funds should NOT have been taken. He told me they would be calling me back the next day... that was last week, so far, no call, still no $$, still overdrawn!! And getting madder by the minute! I have contacted my bank, and told them all I know of this scam, and now am waiting for the bank, or someone to get back to me and refund my money AND the 200.00 in overdraft fees. Are the payday loan companies giving out our banking information?? Are they someway related to this SCAM?? I WANT TO KNOW!!

Consumer Trust Financial masquerades as a pay day loan operation and acquires your banking info from unsuspecting people who think they are filling out an application for a loan. It is straight illegal! The people that answer the phones (at consumer trust) know exactly whats going on and act like they have no idea how they got your info. The only thing you can do is have your bank investigate and replace the money.

It happened to me also, today they took $149.00 from my account, and said that I signed up for their services. I did not, they took my information from a payday sight also. The girl told me immediately what happened, and said it was legal. She told me that they take the money first, then email you in 24 to 48 hrs. to let you know about your membership. My bank called the people and they said I signed up, and it's not fraud. I'm not letting this go. I'm filing a complaint to go with the other 30 or so that they have, and I'll let anyone know about who will listen, I'm contacting a attorney in the morning, and I'm going to contact the local TV station to see if we can get theirs company exposed for what they real are a scam!

I went to check my bank account today and there is $149 being taken out as an ach debit. I called the phone # listed for the people taking the money out of my acct, [protected] and they were either closed or said that they would do their own research into this matter. I do NOT know who these people are. I've never spoke to them. All I know is that I THINK that they may have gotten my bank information from a payday loan website. A couple of days ago, I was on a payday website. It was not called CONSUMER TRUST FINANCIAL though. I'm not stupid and it would have thrown a red flag for me. When I saw this coming from my account, something just told me to do a little research and investigation of my own. I'm going to take these other complaints on this website with me to the back so that I can hopefully get my money back. These people need to be stopped, because they have to be doing it illegally...

I got on my bank account this morning and saw the very same thing, $149 out of my account and I don't even know who these people are. I called the [protected] and either said they were closed or they would do their own investigation. No Way!!! I'm taking this to my back to get refunded. I've never spoke to these people. They must have gotten my email from a payday website as well. This has to be illegal and if you want to file a complaint and sue, let me know. These people must be stopped.

I too have been taken for $149.00, and I have no idea who these people are. Also, I was on a payday loan site. These people must be stopped. When I called the number, a recorded voice introduced Consumer Trust Financial, stated they would get me to that extension (I did not have an extension number), and then the line went dead. Please beware of the sites you visit. I am going to the bank to file a fraudulent claim today (11/30/07).

Consumer trust also took $149.00 out of my husband and my account on 11/26. We've already filled out paperwork to begin the investigation and now plan on going back to our bank with info that other people are experiencing the same problems with these thieves.

My care credit account has been illegally charging over the limit fees and pass do charges. That is 65. dollars a month. I closed the account and when I check on it it isn't closed. I'VE THEN CALLED AGAIN TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND IT STILL ISN'T CLOSED AND THAT WAS MONTHS AGO. I'VE WRITTEN LETTERS TO THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEM BUT AGAIN NO RESPONSE. I NOW AM TRYING TO WORK WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE TO CHANGE THIS SITUATION I'VE ALSO HAVE BEEN WRITING COMPLAINTS TO EVER PLACE I CAN TO GET HELP AND ALSO LET PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THE COMPANY IS DOING TO OTHERS.

So for anyone that is reading this beware of this company do not do business with them. They will steal from you!!!

the same thing happened to me on dec.2,2007. they debited my account for 149.00 without my consent. i called and was told to cancel the memebership and still lose the 149.00 they should not have drafted in the first place or keep the memebership and pay a 19.99 fee every month! i have reported them to the better business bureau of florida and plan to take other measures. i suggest we all get together and file a class action against them.

Just to let you all know. I have been on the phone all morning trying to get to the bottom of things. Yes consumer trust financial also took out 149. from my account w/o authorization. Then the next day 3.95 was taken from another company. I was told now that when we fill out an application for a payday loan it is started by a third party. In this case it is called "Wegivecash.com". This company sends in our information to all kinds of company's, then each separate company does as they like with our info. So beware. I am turning all 3 companies in for doing this to me. I intend to get to the bottom of this. My email is above if you'd like to reply to my comment. Hope this helps a few to not get ripped off.
