Concentra

I got injured in January of 2011, and because it was through work I was directed to go to Concentra Health Clinic. For 8 months I did everything I was asked to do by the doctors and the therapists, my file would prove that. In August I asked about my concerns about returning to work in that my knee that I had operated on in April wasn't healing properly. I was told at that time not to worry, the recovery could take up to 6 months putting me at a return to work by the end of October. I kept on going to therapy and working at home to get better. In September my doctor, Dr. Motz, apparently frustrated with my progress, washed his hands of my case and said he was done. In August he, by the way, had told me that he couldn't guarantee full recovery of my knee. The first visit afterwards with the regular doctor, Dr. Rossi, things changed by 180 degrees, obviously Dr. Rossi and Dr. Motz talked. Dr. Rossi started accusing me of exaggerating my pain level and told me my knee was just fine. I stood my ground and got him to sign me up for a 4 hr functionality test. I took the test, one section dealt with climbing and I couldn't even do half of the required exercises. Dr. Rossi totally ignored that important fact and focused instead on my ability to carry 35 lbs. He also continued to accuse me of not wanting to return to work, after all the facts showing otherwise and this test showing that my knee wasn't fully healed. Since when do doctors act on a hunch and accuse their patients of making up the level of pain they experience and ignore the medical facts they have right in front of them? If it wasn't for the fact I was forced to go to this clinic I would have never chosen nor will I recommend Dr. Rossi or Dr. Motz to anyone. Stay away from these doctors, they are unethical, arrogant and do not act on the patients behalf. Dr. Motz, by the way, did not inform my wife that he was done with my surgery and she was left waiting not knowing anything. Dr. Motz has terrible bed side manners. How would you feel if you knew you had until the end of October and then see how you felt at that time, only to be bullied into returning to work on a knee that isn't full healed one month sooner?
