Complete Savings / Complete Save fraud/scam

I received a charge on my debit card, from Complete Savings, for $12.00. I had never heard of this company so went to their website. People, this is fraud. I've never signed up for anything, and am going to report them to the Atty General, as well as the Better Business Bureau. My bank will reverse the charges, and look into this as well. What concerns me is that not only do they have my acct number, but my email as well. I will follow up on this besides leaving a message on their 800 # voice mail.

Complete Savings / Complete Save fraud

I checked my credit card statement and found a charge I did not make.
I called the Complete Savings and questioned the charge. I was told they had been charging my account for years. They said I had received a discount letter by email every month for the $12.00 monthly charge.
I never received an email. Theywould not refund any monies.
FRAUD!

Over the last 3 months I have been paying 'Complete Savings' without realising. Apparently I became 'a member' of the scheme when I purchased a railway ticket. I had no idea that my banking details were handed over to the company and I received no invoice receipts for the £45 that has accrued over the last three months (this is completely unacceptable - as a student it is more than what I earn in a day!)

The fine print, which is only available via links to the company is the only reference made to the fact that money will be taken from your account as a 'member'. I am shocked that the First Great Western Train service is any way affiliated to a company which is robbing people. I have phoned the company and cancelled my 'membership', but I feel that this is blatant fraud, and would like to be reimbursed!

Complete savings are thieves liars and confidence tricksters they have scammed many people there are many other sites full of complaints about them. they also have many people working for them on these sites that pretend to be customers. They also have people in banks that work for them on a commission basis and will try and make it as difficult as possible for you to get your money back .

What is unacceptable is that you accept a $10 rebate or a $20 discount without reading the fine prints or the terms of the deal. I have been a member of Complete Savings for 1 year and a half and I am very happy. I knew what I was doing when I accepted the $10 rebate offered on a merchant's website. Each month I purchase four $25.00 gift cards and only pay $20.00. I can buy magazines for $2 (price for a 1 year subscription) - but I usually buy subscriptions via Amazon. I buy movie tickets for $5/each. I print deals, grocery coupons, etc. Every month I get points that I redeem for Visa gift cards.

So no, it is not a scam at all. Although the way Complete Savings get new customers may not be the best way, people should simply be more careful before checking a box to take advantage of a discount or a rebate. I have been a very happy customer of Complete Savings since the beginning. It is a legitimate business. I save money every month, I get free $50 gift cards for every 1, 000 points I earn, etc.

So, your behavior and your comment is unacceptable. By the way, how long do you need to check your bank account(s)? I do it once a week. If you were more serious with your money, you would have noticed the $12.00 charge right away and you could have canceled the monthly charge right away. Obviously, you manage your money as you purchase items online: like a child.

Sorry for being so hard, but I am tired to read comments from people who don't take responsibility for their own mistakes and actions.

Complete Savings / Complete Save unauthorized reoccurring charge on cc

I received unauthorized $12.00 charges on my debit card for this company for 4 months whom I had never heard of until the charge posted to my account. I have charges for Complete Savings Company stating I have a membership. I did not sign up for anything and I don't know how they got my credit card information. Can't imagine this is legal; at best it's clearly deceptive.

Complete Savings / Complete Save - debit card scam

I ordered some parts through Cheaper Than Dirt and used my debit card. I started receiving charges on my credit card for $12.00. This is some obscure scam by offering you $10 off your next purchase. I never even completed this application process but started receiving $12.00 charges. This is completely wrong but they are getting away with it. Beware of...

Complete Savings / Complete Save I never signed up

Hi. I have no information on this company, Complete Savings except that they are deducting $12.00 from my checking account each month. I have never signed up with them. I sent an email to [protected]@completesabings.com and they told me that they cannot locate any account from me until I provide them more information by email. I have no phone number or address for them. I have asked my credit union to stop any deductions but I want to know how to get a full refund since I have no idea who or what they are?

Pretty rich when Complete Savings asks you for more information in order to stop illegally deducting money from your checking account! That's unbelievable! What nerve!

If you haven't already asked your credit union you need to find out how to go about filing fraud charges against Complete Savings.

You must have placed an online order for something with some company. That's how Complete Savings gets your information and then starts charging you. If you were to walk into a regular store this, of course, would be illegal so I'm not sure how they (Complete Savings and the companies associated with them) get away with this but, as you'll see from all the complaints listed here, they do get away with it all the time. And there is no way of knowing which companies are doing this by who they are.

I thought I Barnes & Noble was a name I could trust but, when I placed an online order with them, it turned out that they are in bed with Complete Savings. So buyer BEWARE!

If I want to order something, from a new company, then I first check this website to see if anyone has posted that company's name as being associated with Complete Savings. If it's not here then I check their Terms of Use. Most TOUs say that the company shares customer information with third party affiliates (they never outright mention the names of those companies, like Complete Savings). At that point I'll either call the company or email them to find out if they are a safe company to order from, in other words, are they associated in any way, shape or form with Complete Savings.

Complete Savings / Complete Save did not subscribe

I don't recall registering for any of your services and am very glad I kept on reading the emails. If not, you would have kept charging me and I would be upset each month and then I would have become irate. Tell me, when did I sign up for this service and through which "other" company did I do it through? I don't pay for something that I don't order. I never used it, I just kept getting emails and deleting most of them. I finally wised up. When I cancelled the service, I kept digging and found a spot where I could request a refund. As long as I see it happen that I won't be IRATE but I'm still upset that you have information that I didn't give you. Who did?

Complete Savings / Complete Save unauthorized bank charge

Just like everyone else has reported so far, I just discovered an unauthorized $ 12.00 charge in my bank account. Interestingly enough no phone number was listed for complete savings so I had to call my bank in order to get it. In any case, when I called said company to complain about the charge and ask that it be reversed, I was informed that I "subscribed" to their services during one of my online purchases from Petco. This is absolutely mind boggling! What's worse is that a company like Petco would allow them to tag on to their site and scam people monthly out of their hard earned dollars!

Complete Savings / Complete Save scams - from ticket master

Yesterday I received an email asking if I would like to cancel my membership with complete savings. I had no idea who complete savings were so I checked my account information. I have been getting chargers $12 for the last six months from this scamming website. I asked how they received my information and they said I signed up when I bought tickets through ticket masters. I did a little research on complete savings and they have been known for scamming off websites and stealing people’s personal information. I believe ticket master should be aware of this and this company should be punished. All these scams on the internet make it impossible to ever feel comfortable buying anything online. BEWARE OF COMPLETE SAVINGS

Please help anyone 

Thank you

this is a plain scam. I got the same thing, went for tickets on ticketmaster and boom $12 reoccuring montly charge . And guess what, even if you cancel this crap (which I immediately did) the fist
charge is not refundable!
Those people (completesavings.com) sell just snake oil and I am really dissapointed such a
reputable site like ticketmaster participates in it. Be aware when u buy tickets from them!

I also signed up for Complete Savings based on a 30 free trial. The reason I did this was because I was in the process of purchasing movie tickets from Fandango and read on Fandango's website that if you signed up with Complete Savings, you would receive one free movie ticket. Well, it's been 2 days, and I have received no such promotion code for my free movie ticket. After logging into my bank account, I have noticed that Complete Savings charged me $1.00. I have just called them and canceled even though it is way before the 30 days. This type of stuff has happened to me before and I usually don't sign up, but I thought I'd give it another shot. I was told that I would receive an email with my cancelation number for my records. I will definitely keep on eye on this though as what they say is not always done (ie free movie ticket).

Complete Savings / Complete Save this is a scam

I noticed an unusual "Complete Savings" charge of $12.00 on my credit card. I called Complete Savings at the number listed after the charge. At my request they immediately canceled my membership and refunded my money. They have an automated membership cancellation option but you have to talk to a person (Dial Zero) in order to get your money refunded. The customer service rep was very nice but a scam artist is still a scam artist.

What bothers me is how Complete Savings got my credit card info in the first place.

What I learned was Performance Bike www.performancebike.com gave them my credit card information.

At some point during a Performance online sale you are offered the option to join "Complete Savings". You may opt in and assume that Complete Savings is a Performance Bike savings program. You would be WRONG! Complete Savings is a completely separate company from Performance.

You don't enter any credit card info after you opt in so what's the worst that could happen? More junkmail? WRONG AGAIN!

Performance has transferred your credit card information to Complete Savings.

Soon you will start seeing $12.00 charges from "Complete Savings"

Now you have to call Complete Savings and cancel your membership. Hopefully they refund your money as they did mine.

I also fell victim to the Complete Savings scam, this time through PetCo. It is hard to know whom to point fingers at here - Complete Savings for duplicitously signing me up for a membership I never approved, PetCo for sharing my credit card information without my permission, or myself for not making sure to unclick every little tiny box before making an online purchase. Aaaah! It is enough to make you go mad!

Yes, I had the same issue with Collections Etc. I went to purchase a rug for my wife online and somehow, in the the ordering process, this company Complete Savings, was able to get all the information I provided Collections Etc out of Chicago, and use the information for membership they said I approved. The problem is that companies like Collections Etc are faciliating this scam. Collections told me that I was fully informed and accepted the service from Complete Savings. I will never purchase from Collections again. Collections Inc used what I call the Carnival of Mirrors trick. It like trying to find your way out of a house of mirrors at a carnival of fair. Shame on you Collections Etc. Just for your information Collections Etc. is rated as as an A+ company on a scale of A+ to F. I wonder who is taking who to lunch.

Complete Savings / Complete Save providing 3rd parties with credit card information resulting in unauthoried charges

I ordered from pizza hut and others have ordered from ftd florist, jc whitney tiger direct, vista print and clicked a box requesting that they send you coupons and discounts information and suddenly started receiving $12.00 monthly charges? Where did these companies get access to our credit card information?

It turns out when you order online at these companies they supply your credit card info to a 3rd party company, in this case, complete savings, and they start charging you a monthly fee for discounts you never get on products you never order. The way it works: the pizza hut site offers you money off your order for filling out a survey. The survey is much longer than you expect. When you click out of it, it signs you up as agreeing to terms and conditions, which is a lie. Then pizza hut gives your credit card info to a company you never heard of.

I am looking to put together a group of individuals who have had their credit card charged through complete savings and are interested in putting a stop to these types of fraudulent practices.

While the senate commerce committee is investigating these practices, as consumers, we have the right to sue the merchants directly. If you have been wronged and interested to participate in a class action, please reply here or email me at [protected]@gmail.com.

Complete Savings / Complete Save Giving credit card information to 3rd party

A longtime customer of Lensmart, I placed an order with them several months ago. This month, on my credit card statement there was a charge for $12.00 from "Complete Savings, " an affiliate of WebLoyalty.com.

When I called Lensmart to question this, they said that when I checked out, I must have clicked on a pop-up coupon offer which automatically enrolled me in a "buyers' club." I told lensmart that they had no right to share my credit card information, and the customer service representative said Lensmart does not share credit card information with anyone.

When I contacted Complete Savings, they said, yes, I had automatically signed up for their buyer's club when I clicked on a coupon on the Lensmart site. I demanded a refund which they subseqently applied.

WebLoyalty has had complaints from across the country because of its tactics, and many have complained to Better Business Bureau, but consumers also should be aware and put pressure on companies like Lensmart which affiliate themselves with WebLoyalty and similar businesses employ a similar model and hide behind pop-ups to charge people's credit cards. Had I known Weboyalty's stench was not far away, I would never have placed an order with Lensmart. They too hide-- behind fine print.

Buyer beware, and be aware that one simple click from a company like Lensmart results in your credit card and home address information being passed along to another unscrupulous company. I called Lensmart to let them know why they were losing a customer, filed a complaint with the state Department of Consumer Protection and the Better Business Bureau. I am passing on this info to tell even seasoned Internet users to beware of ANY popup during a transaction.

Complete Savings / Complete Save unauthorized charges to my debit card!

I purchased mothers day flowers for my mom and grandma from FTD.com. At the end of my transaction, i was offered a $10 savings on my next order. I accepted the coupon. now, after a few months, I balance my checkbook, and I have these charges from this company!

When I do some research on the company, I find their website, and call the number, there is even an option to unsubscribe from their service on their voice system! They know that they are scamming innocent people out of money! When I get a hold of a lady, she tells me she can only refund me the most recent charge and that is it! I am a single mother of 2 girls, every penny counts! I have been charges a total of $36.00 for trying to have a savings of $10. I will NEVER purchase flowers from ftd.com again, and I am reporting this to the better business bureau and the state's attorney's office.

Complete Savings / Complete Save SCAM!

DO NOT ORDER from Eyeslipsface.com also known as ELF or elf.com! I ordered a few products and was OK with the products, but at the end of the order something popped up called "Complete Savings". It's an offer for $10 off your next purchase. I accepted, believing it was still for the ELF company. It isn't. I then had unauthorized charges on my statement for $12 for the next 2 months. I called Complete Savings, who says they will refund my money. I then called ELF (eyeslipsface) to see if they were aware of the scam, and they are. I spoke with a manager who told me right out that as long as my money was refunded it doesn't matter. IT DOES MATTER. They know what's happening to their customers, and from the attitude I received from their manager, they don't give a hoot. I am warning all others to beware both ELF and Complete Savings. The whole thing is a sham.

I can say that the complaint must be from someone who just clicks things with out reading..after you are done with the order they do have things after that are deals for else where and I have had a problem one time before (UNRELATED issue) and had VERY FAST response as well as a outstanding result to my issue. Staff is NEVER rude to me nor the people I recommend them too! been buying for years and will still buy from them.
P.S.
read things before you click confirm...

I recommend EyesLipsFace to a LOT of people. For one, their makeup is as cheap as it gets price-wise, but the quality of the products are miles different from the cheap makeup in drug stores. When I think of cheap makeup, I think of Wet-n-Wild, which is a much worse product for around the same price. Two, they are always having sales, so you can save 30-70% off on a regular basis. Three, I have put some of these products to the test and tested them out right alongside brands like MAC and Sephora, and a lot of the items hold up just as well or better. Like other posters have said, it's hit or miss when it comes to getting an amazing product or a just ehh one, but for a dollar or less, you can afford to sample. Around Christmas, I ordered some eye gift boxes for my sisters. First of all, I got them for 50% off so they were only like $3.50 each or something, but the first box I got was missing an eyeshadow applicator and had a messed up box. So they sent me another one, at no charge. But this one had also been damaged in the shipping, and I wanted it to be pretty for wrapping and was getting annoyed that it was after Christmas at this point and I was still missing a gift, so they sent another one via FedEx. They were very nice and didn't give me any problems. They basically sent $21 worth of stuff for $3.50, and my sister was happy to receive one pretty one and one dinged up box while I took the other one. I don't know how they are able to make any money, but I am happy to take advantage of such a great product for such a low price!

ELF Cosmetics are definitely not a scam. I was sceptical at first, but placed my first order over a month ago. I received it within a week and everything was fine. Nothing was damaged or broken (I ordered from the Studio line). The brushes were great, the ELF 100 Eyeshadow Palette was bubble-wrapped and all of it was neatly packed in a box. In fact, according to the postage stamp on the box, ELF paid MORE to ship this box to me than I paid them to ship it. I paid the standard shipping fee on their site, but it seems to have cost them more. I feel bad about that, but am not sure how that happened.

Anyway, I can safely say they are not a scam and that their products are quite good.

for the record, eyeslipsface.com is NOT a scam.
People are so used to being overcharged for products (that are of completely mediocre quality) by big dollar corporations, that they call it in to question when a genuinely good deal is made available. I've ordered from the website since 2006, and while I remember at first being unhappy with the eyeliner pencils, the formula was changed and they are more than just satisfactory, they're my favorite. They actual MAKEUP is excellent quality. The difference is that you're not paying ten times the price for flashy packaging.

But hey, if you don't believe me, I'm alright with it. That just means I won't have to worry about my favorite products being sold out.

Disagree entirely with the original poster! I've ordered three times from ELF over the past six months, and the first order arrived within 2-3 days, the second within a week and the third within two (because it was holiday season!). All of my items have been completely intact and while the quality isn't always perfect, you ARE paying a dollar for each product. I've done hit-and-miss with a few different products the first few times I've ordered from them and I've learned what's worth the savings and what's not. Their shimmer pencils work far better than their brightening eyeliner -- and the white one barely works at all. Their nail polish needs to be applied numerous times for an opaque finish, but I haven't had problems with excessive chipping either! Their lip products are my absolute favorite, along with their brushes and tinted moisturizer. The comments I've seen online about the professional brushes confuse me because that's the set I bought and they're excellent. The studio ones are probably even better, then! Reading the fine print will save you a lot of grief, and calling the entire company a /scam/ because your products don't arrive right after you order them or because you didn't read all the fine print is ignorant and pretty uncalled for.

The only real problems I've ever had with ELF have purely been related to their products themselves -- such as the pen liner caps coming off in my bags and drying out (a total bummer, because they work pretty well!) and the pencils with built-in sharpeners in the caps being too loose. But again -- for the price, I really can't complain, and neither can the majority of people I've seen throw fits about ELF.

I absolutely disagree with the original poster. I have been ordering from e.l.f. for about three years and have never had a problem with their shipping, merchandise or customer service. The two times (of more than a dozen LARGE orders I've placed) that there has been a discrepancy with an order, customer service was easy to reach (easier by phone) and they resolved the problem immediately. Not to mention they were incredibly friendly. Not all of their products are top dollar... but they are surely worth a dollar! I've come across very few items I could not find some use for. I own nearly all of their essentials, most of their studio line and a good number of mineral products as well. Their brushes are fantastic! Nothing is ever as good as it seems... but in this case, it can turn out to be better. I think the OP needs to learn to read all the print, including the fine print and stop being so naive. It just makes YOU look bad when you start placing public complaints over something you were obviously negligent on reading into.

I do not agree with this post. I have ordered from eyeslipsface.com, and never had a problem with them. And that last person said that they lie about their shipping? But I actually received my package before my estimated date. If that's lying, then I'm okay with it! =) I have a friend who referred me to eyeslipsface.com, and she has already placed her next order, and I'm doing mine today =) I love it.

Yes they are a scam, they lie about the way they ship and how long it takes and the customer service is very poor. I totally agree with you. Because it's not the dollar amount you spend they should treat consumers with more courteous attitudes. So it's true that you get what you pay for. So don't cheat yourself when shopping with eyelipface, treat yourself and go to maccosmeticswholesale.com

I have ordered multiple times over the past 2 and a half years. I have never had any issues or unauthorized charges. I actually always recommend eyeslipsface.com to a lot of people and everyone I have referred has ordered and have been very satisfied. People eyeslipsface.com is A-OK! Completely satisfied more than once, twice, and more than three times!

Complete Savings / Complete Save unauthorized debits — scamming

I just discovered and canceled a service from company 'complete savings', they signed me up to a service that I didn't authorize nor seek out..In a conversation I had with 'alice' this morning, they picked up my debit account information through an online florist that I had ordered some flowers for my wife.. They claimed I signed up for a their service... No I didn't. This is a scam and needs to be stopped. Recently, I noticed a debit of $12 coming out of my account... Didn't pay too much attention to it and didn't know what it was for. They deducted this amount over the last three months jun, jul and aug.. And are have just scammed me for sept now.. I put in a stop payment from my bank over a week ago.. But they still managed to get the money. Now I have to dispute the charges which will trigger getting a replacement debit card... These folks need to be out of business.

The company said they will cancel my subscription... Even gave me a confirmation number #[protected]... Why should I trust in this?... They have already scammed me without my permission...

Regards,
Tom

Complete Savings / Complete Save unauthorized access to account

I want to add my voice to those who have been robbed by Complete Savings. I, too, noticed an unauthorized debit of $12 on my credit card account from Complete Savings. After finding the complaints on this website, I called the company and demanded they recredit my account. They attempted to sell me on their services at this time, but I refused to listen and again, demanded they GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. They finally agreed. Considering how calm the call center woman remained in the wake of my anger, I imagine they receive calls like mine frequently.
I then called my bank and told STOP any and all attempts by this company to remove money from my account.
I then lodged a complaint with the BBB of CT. Complete Savings responded to my complaint with a letter laying all blame at my feet, saying I authorized this when I clicked on "Receive a $10 coupon off your next purchase" after buying Pizza Hut. Jerks. I will keep my complaint open.
I then went to the fbi internet fraud page and lodged a complaint.
My next step will be to contact a Consumer Protection Agency.

I was being charged $12 for the past months without knowing why. I decided to call and then found out that it was through a Pizza place discount where all my info was taken and then charged without my permission/knowledge. The person on the phone could not find me in the system but yet they were charging me every month. The guy said he was going to refund me 3 months and that was it but I know it was more than that--it was almost a year ago. I cannot believe people can get away with this.

I'm also robbed by completesavings.com by charging $12 without my knowledge to my AMEX account.

I've asked the bank to stop for the fraudulent charges and to get the refund for several months of illegal transaction.

I want to add my voice and another retailer to the long list of legitimate retailers who have signed up with Complete Savings.

Drugstore.com

I'm so glad I found all these other reports so I could figure out what happened and how to deal with the problem. Thank you all for taking the time to file your complaints.

As for me, I'm waiting for my $12 refund and filing a report with my credit card company.

Then I will contact Drugstore.com to let them know how this scam works and that their reputation is being tarnished by it.

Complete Savings must have some super salespeople to be able to convince savvy established online companies like Drugstore.com and TigerDirect.com that their customers will appreciate the "services" which Complete Savings offers!

Looks like more than one web business than Pizza Hut is using this scam.

I just got one on my Amex account for being stupid enough to click on a $10 coupoon offer from Chengdu, a company that I ordered some disk recovery software from.

So after calling Complete Savings at the number on my AMEX bill, I did get what appears to be a courteous "revocation" of the charge, but with caution in due order, I will also go to AMEX and challenge the charge so that they will revoke it as well if Complete Savings fails to do so.

But now I would guess that the benefiting company (Pizza Hut, and others) are not without complicity, since it looks like the 2 dollar extra on top of the "coupon" must be a benefit to either of the parties to this scam. So in the end, YOU pay $12 to get a $10 coupon, which turns the concept of discounts around, where you end up paying more than if you did not have the coupon, plus you have to be very careful to "use" the coupon or lose it altogether, which is like going to Vegas and giving your $12 to the slots until you have nothing left.

I too have been getting charged since Sept 2009 for $12 a month thru complete savings.com supposedly for some "membership" I took out with USAUTO.COM, which I never did. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. I called my card company and filed an internet fraud complaint as well as disputes. I want all my money back. Unless they have something from me in writing, authorizing such "membership" it is bogu.

Complete Savings / Complete Save recurring $12 debit

Apparently while processing a payment for concert tickets at LiveNation.com, this 'Complete Savings' company used my debit card information to begin an unauthorized subscription to their service. They debited $12 on the same day every month from my account for 3 months. When I called them to find out who they were & what they were doing, the lady was emphatic in stating that I had requested a subscription to their service and that they make their subscription details as clear as possible on the websites on which they attach their 'services'. Although they claim that I subscribed to their service, they had no problem agreeing to cancel the service and refund the charges that they made to my account...i'll have to wait and see if that actually happens. Regardless, the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau will be contacted in my state to register this issue.

This has happened to me for the past year, and I want it to stop! I thought it was resolved but going back and reviewing the last year statement beginning in Jan. 02. 2010 I have been charged this amount 12.00 each month. I want it refunded back to me. I orginally thought that this was something that credit card company was charging, but after speaking with them and learning that this is not a charge from them. I want it refunded! I never authorized these transactions
