Our company is based in Canada and we have dealt with Zulily for several years. Yes we had the occasional shortage, but the trick is to go to your buyer or vendor contact. They have an overage and underages report. No matter how hard any company works and gets 99.9% accuracy - some mistakes will happen. What we do is poly bag, and use the barcodes zulily supplies to us. You just buy avery labels at staples, print them and stick to the bag. We shipped 15000 plus units in the first 3/4 of the year. I think we had issues involving 52 pcs. All of which were fixed to OUR Satisfaction. We also photograph the goods when we pack, yes it takes time, but in case of dispute, we send them to the vendor rep and buyer. They go back to the warehouse and say "well see" and with only 1 exception in 3 years it came out in our favour. I would recommend doing business with them, In fact we did 60 collections so far this year with zulily!

After reading these comments, I am disheartened. I was thinking of becoming a vendor with Zulily (I AM United States based) but I'm thinking twice now. Glad I looked into this.

I will never order another product from Zulily! I ordered 2 pair of leggings at $7.50 each. I was charged $8.00 for shipping...bad enough but ok. They turned out to be too long and I need to return them. It turns out that their return policy adds $5.00 restocking fee and $5.95 return postage for EACH PAIR. In other words, I would OWE them money to return the product! Terrible customer service! When I call, I'm told "Well, you should have read the Return Policy.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

I regret making a purchase from zulily & after this NEVER AGAIN, about a month ago I ordered two outfits and a toy for my daugther, and like 2 weeks later after ordering I received the toy, 1 more week goes by and I still haven't received the rest of the clothes.. So I decide to send them an email, and they just tell me my order has been canceled.. because something went wrong with my card... this company is bull [censored] they're a spam! how come this happened to so many people?

Absolutely terrible customer service. First off they couldn't even find my account.I signed in with Facebook and they sent me emails. Surprisingly the accounts are not connected if you later sign in with the same email that they send you spam to.After being told that they could not find my account I had to dig it up myself. Later I noticed one of the items I had ordered had been "cancelled" after it never showed up. I did not cancel the item nor was I ever told my email or anything else that the order would not arrive. Also I was not refunded. I emailed them again and even told the guy that last time they couldn't find my account, so I took a screen shot and sent them my order #. if the guy emails me back saying they will refund me with store credit I am going to blow my lid. I want my money back and furthermore I will not be spending anymore of my hard earned money at this worthless shop. they can't even tell you when your items will arrive, actually they pretend you don't exist as a customer. As a web designer, I can see that whoever is handling the customer accounts is a total baboon. If they cannot connect an email to a Facebook account they have no business telling people they can sign in with Facebook.

On August 11th I placed an order for 2 items. On the company website, it shows that my order was to have shipped on August 27th. It is now October 3rd, and I have not received my order, despite being sent emails claiming that it's been shipped. Yet the company will not provide me a tracking number. I have an email dated September 24th, stating it has been shipped. Currently, the company is not answering my emails. They continue to add $10/ $5 etc. as a credit ! Ha ! Like I would actually buy anything from them ever again. Right.

Ordered shoes August 18th and they still have not shipped them and were already at the end of August! I should have read all the reviews before hand. I guess this website take so long to ship because they dont keep an inventory. They only order what you order from them. So not only are you waiting for Zulilys to order from the manufacture, your waiting for the manufacture to ship to Zulilys and then your waiting again for Zulilys to ship to you. This is a poor model business! Will NOT order from them again.

ANYONE THAT IS A VENDOR - Is there a way to contact you? I work for a very large company and we recently started venturing into ECOM. and we have had NOT ONE SINGLE problem with short shipping with any other customers, - yet, with them, we always have issues and HUGE overages/shortages (almost absurd), which is literally IMPOSSIBLE bc of our computer/inventory systems (label printing, invcoicing, etc).. our business is growing with them, however, the shortages/overages issue is beyond ridiculous, 100% no way, and our company does business with huge stores, macy's, jc penney, kohl's, ETC and have never had this problem in the least. nothing. among other large stores as well, that charge you back for anythingggggg... i just want to know WHY, what is the benefit as we keep shipping them TONS... whyyy?

please, email me in hopes you have insight... i made a private new email just in case... lolokelly725@gmail.com for any advice/info

thanks!

I really don't have any complaint since it was my fault that I didn't see that shipping for most items takes 12-16 days. I didn't understand their business model in which they order directly from the vendor and have to wait for the order to reach them before they can ship it out. I didn't figure in the time frame when ordering.

Update: just realized one of the shirts has a massive hole in the sleeve seam. Thankfully i know how to sew, so i can fix it. But i cant believe they ship this stuff out and expect happy customers! Lowering my review to one star...

It took me almost TWO MONTHS to receive my entire order. The first shipment came about 5 weeks after I ordered, which they sent me the wrong sizes. Thankfully though they were bigger so I can use them later as my daughter grows so I didn't have to get involved with customers service. I was still missing a shirt, and I got it two weeks later. Really, I don't understand why shipping takes so long. And I got. The wrong size, but luckily I can still use it later. I won't be buying from them again due to how long shipment takes, and the instability of customers service. It's just NOT worth it to save a few bucks!

I placed an order on June 17 for 4 blouses. They were made in India as I read when they were received. All the blouses were too small.
I wanted to send them back for a refund because the Asian sizing is smaller than that of America. I know I wouldn't find the sizes that I
needed. I was told that they are a final sale company and I could only get a store credit. When they advertise if they said this up front
I am sure some people would think twice before buying. As for me, I will not make the same mistake twice.

We stopped working with Zulily over a year ago, when Olivia DeFiesta, who also works at Zulily, revised an email she sent us, before sending it along to her supervisor. It was to make herself appear in a better light, shall we say. We brought that to the supervisors attention and the results were astounding.

At most companies this would be grounds for termination. However, it would seem, at Zulily, this type of behavior is just fine. We were told it was because she was young, and it was not a big deal. We parted ways at that point, as we felt we could not continue to work with a company that seemed to have no moral compass, and know the difference between wrong and right.

Since that time, Zulily has reached out to our company and asked us to start working with them again. A sale was recently lined up, and then they were unable to have it load into their system at the 11th hour. It turns out our account was flagged and the people that set up the sale did not know that.

Today we were called by Madison and were "scolded" and told that Zulily would no longer be working with us as they only like to work with "honest and good partners." Needless to say we were relieved.

Long story short, they reached out to us again to re-engage a year later after "email gate", and although I did not want to, my partner said let's give them another try, and suggested maybe they have gotten their act together. Well, clearly in our experience they have not. After wasting weeks of our time discussing and convincing us to participate in some of their upcomjng sales, it turns out that we had been "banned" as a company from being on Zulily by one of their team, and our account was permanently flagged. Today we were told that it is due to our "history" of poor behavior. We have never had an experience like this with any company, vendor, supplier, or customer, and find it rather amusing in a pathetic way. What kind of large company behaves this way?

I guess if you point out to anyone at Zulily the error or their ways or question something, you will punished. What kind of company operates like this? Definitely one we do not want to hear from again!

We also had issues in the past getting paid on time, as many of the other posts here speak about, as well as always being accused of short shipping and having to send extra free product to their warehouses to "cover" the shortage.

Instead of "Madison" simply apologizing for their error of not knowing we were flagged in their system, we were given a lecture by her, who actually took the time out of her busy Zulily day, to call us up to do that. I told her in no uncertain terms that the behavioral issues are on Zulily's end, and she should go back to her high school cafeteria of "mean" girls and lecture the Zulily staff.

I think Zulily is an outlet for cheap goods from China. Be sure you know your labels. I ordered from MishMish - Mish Boys through Zulily. The quality is AWFUL. I truly overpaid for outfits that I can't even give to the thrift store. Cheap cheap cheap. As with other reviewers shipping was very slow [another reason i think goods come directly from China. a real disappointment. and no returns/refunds.! awful!

My Zulily contacts were nonreponsive until less than 2 weeks before my event was scheduled to happen. The assistant buyer got involved and demanded that I send in my samples after sending in high resolution pictures that were above their standards. The samples were requested on a Friday afternoon with instructions to get there by Monday morning. I paid out of pocket under the understanding that my event was to happen the next Saturday. Zulily received my samples and decided that 5 of the 37 styles were unfinished and asked for documentation of compliancy testing. My issue is that why wait until the sale is going to run to ask about this information when we are 4 months into the process making it so that I don't have the chance to obtain the testing to complete the sale? To me all of that information should be gathered at the beginning. Now I've invested so much money into the process without any profit from it. Zulily is not for the small business owner and they sell items that people buy from China and resell to them at an inflated rate to make a profit. All of the prices we agreed to were right at my wholesale price or right at my cost of material price because they base the information off of the prices they buy from the people who purchase from China. If you look at their site the majority says imported!

Save your time and money! The exposure is not worth it!

TO follow up from the early port a few months ago. We were in contact with the CEO directly, and thought that it would speed up the process of reconciling the problems. Still no resolution. We have another event they are planning to run tomorrow. Again we have not approved of the sale running. They now owe us over $30, 000. The CEO will no longer respond to emails or phone calls either. We have been working with him either directly, or through his secretary since the day after Easter, and he still cannot resolve the problems.

We have also had a terrible experience as a company selling our products to Zulily. The assistant buyer Olivia has a nasty attitude and is very incompetent and arrogant. Before every sale, the buyer would always input lower prices than we agreed upon. It felt like they were trying to trick us and lock us into lower pricing all the time. When questioned she would become very defensive and deny it. How can you deny a number? It is right there in front of you!

Same story as everyone else: Zulily always claimed they were short shipped, took forever to pay, and nobody ever followed through. We told them in no uncertain terms that we will never work with them again. Who needs them?

the phone app sucks as the whole company i placed an order once and that was enough for the app to keep my info save so any one that grabs my phone can placed an order. As happen to my when my 4 yrs old daughter placed a over 400.oo order on the 20th, i called on the 21st as soon as I found out by checking my bank account an i was told by an agent that only 36.oo of the over 400.oo order could be order because the other items where already process, they opened a ticket an said that they were going to call me however i called again a few hrs later, because i need it the money to pay my bills spoke with a supervisor who guarantee that they were going to stop the order she called the bank etc i had the money back in my account on the 22nd i decided to paid my bills, but what a surprise that on the 23rd they decided to process the order and remove the money so now am being change by the bank for overcharging the account, hopping for my bill payments to clear otherwise will have to pay extra fees and have to track a stupid order that i didn't placed in order to return the items... crazy that i called on the 21st to cancel and order was process on the 23rd after money was refund and everything. ...what a nasty way to treat customers

My wife has a business that has been selling with Zulily since 2011. As they have grown bigger, problems have gotten bigger as well. We have always had the occasional issue that they would claim not to receive items. They have been small problems that we have ignored since there have usually been bigger issues to resolve. We have always had issues with getting paid and lack of communication. We would usually get paid eventually, but had to put forth much effort to get paid (until now). September of last year, they owed us as much as $70, 000. We are now down to $19, 000, but they will not talk to us. Every time a new person is involved from Zulily, they are so excited to help, but after they take a day or two to look into it, we never hear from them again.
2 weeks ago, they placed us in 2 new sales. We decided as a business that we would not agree to any more sales unless they made a timetable to fix our problems. They ran both sales without our approval. We have now emailed and called them every day for two weeks, and have yet to make contact with anyone. They now have customers waiting on products from these two sales, and we do not even have the materials in inventory to ship. The website says we were due to ship one sale yesterday, and they still have not spoken to us. They also refuse to provide reconciliations of the sales they have paid us for. Between Sept of last year and now, they have paid us approximately $30, 000, of which we have no idea which sales they pertain to. We have 102 unreconciled invoices, that make up about $50, 000. $30, 000 have been paid, but I do not know which invoive to apply the $30, 000 to. The other $19, 000 -$20, 000 is unpaid. I cant even tell which ones have been paid, and which ones have not. Some invoices date back to Nov of 2013.

Zulily still hasn't paid me for product I shipped for them last Fathers Day! Incredible that these guys are still in business and have any vendors left that they haven't sqrewed over. I am a small start-up and this cost me more then just the product that I shipped to Zulily's customers, I also had to have a product photo shoot and hire extra help to make sure that I got everything shipped in time. I am very angry with these people at Zulily. My contact at Zulily was a woman named Samantha White, who seemed very nice at first but after many calls and emails to her at attempts to get paid, with ZERO response, I don't think she is very nice. I would NEVER do business with these people EVER AGAIN!

It has been very frustrated dealing with them. We shipped everything that they ordered but they deduct some from payments.
It is impossible to speak to anyone at Zulily on the matter. Basically, they are trying to rip off us.

I've been looking to sell on a site like this and I've contacted them before with no reply. Can some explain to me how it fully works? Do they get a commission per sale? Who sets the price? Was it worth it in the end? and lastly are there other sites that do a similar thing but are better?

I have had two 'Events' with this company and BOTH times they've told me i've had overages and shortages. With the first 'Event' it was kind of chaotic, so I chalked it up to a learning experience, but the second 'Event' I know for a fact it was shipped 100% correctly!
They won't ship the overages back and want to buy them from you, I have NO doubt this is so you can't see that your order was shipped correctly!

I will NEVER sell or buy from this company again!
