Zone Fitness cancellation of contract

I have join the Zone fitness club about 14 months back. i was on the 12 months contract. i went to the gym to give notice on the 01/12/2015. as my contract was expired in more that 6 months. i didn't receive help. They told me that my name is not in their system. I only appear on the access machine. i also give them my ID to check. but still no help.

I even sent my complain on the Zone fitness on line, asking them to cancel my contract. on the 18/01/2016 i was called by Mr.Leroy Ludick to respond to my on line request. i gave him my Id number, access card number and my bank account where they are debiting monthly. He also told me that he cannot find me on the system. i started to have a fear and suspicion that maybe my money is taken by some body not Zone fitness, i also think that maybe is a Zone fitness strategy to keep me in the system that they can take my money until they feel like cancelling. because im paying via debit and my access card allows me in to the club. im confuse. Leroy could not assist me too.

I cant remember if i was issued with a copy of the contract. I even send Mr. Leroy an email and give him my personal details that he can check and give me feedback it was on the same date when he calls me on the 18/01/2016.

Leroy responded that: could you please forward me your copies of contact.

I don't know why they cannot help me. I told Mr. Leroy that i wanted them to have the last debit on the 31/12/2015 for the notice period of 30 days. from now on im not giving Zone fitness any permission to go through my bank account and debit any money. i also want to know from them that who was debiting my money if im not in the system.

i understand that if they don't have my name in the system it means i don't have contract with them. If they didn't have contract with me who gave them permission to take my money for the past 18 months. they will have to refund any cent.

please assist me to go out of this Zone fitness scam.

Zone Fitness being lied to in order to sell a gym contract

I joined Zone Fitness, CT in Nov 2009 and dealt with a Consultant Monique. As I knew I was going overseas at the end of March I wanted to join for 3 or 4 months but Monique said they only have 1 or 2 year contracts. She told me not to worry about it though, that there are ALWAYS people wanting to join and she will find someone to take over my contract and sort it all out for me. As the 2 year contract was the cheapest & I knew someone would have to take it over anyways I joined for 2 years. Monique said I must come see her at the beginning of Feb if I want to cancel at the end of feb. At the begining of February I went to see her & I was informed that 'convieniently' Monique doesn't work there anymore.

I was then asked to email Kristen Parris at headoffice with my issue because it is their policy not to take over contracts as I was explained. After MANY emails to & from headoffice I was offered to change my contract to a 4 month contract at R325month, so I must just pay the difference of R703! I was still furious as I would never have joined the gym at that price. They refused to give in and I had to end up paying the difference as they kept taking the debit order off! UNHAPPY!

When I was approached re a contract, I was sold with the Watergate Facility that was soon to be opened. So I signed up and was told that in the interim, I am able to gym at Westgate Mall. Now that Watergate has opened, I enquire at Watergate how I go about this, and they referred me to Westgate. I visited their branch on the 13.07.18, only to be told I would have to fork out a further R150 for a transfer! They blamed the sales consultant that never advised this. Surely I should have been made aware of this before opting to take out this contract before Watergate opened? I refuse to be held liable/hostage for blatant exploitation.

They are not transparent to customers and I regret signing a contract with them.
They are still doing it. I was tricked into signing a contract with them in December 2016 Cape Town, Kraaifontein when they had some kind of 'promotion' and they never mentioned that I could not get out of it for at least a year. I know that to some this is general knowledge, but for a first time gym goer it's not so obvious. The only thing they mentioned was that the promotion meant I could have 1 month free membership. I know (now) that this is the practice of most gyms, but FULL DISCLOSURE is not too much to ask for. It should be mandatory!

Zone Fitness cancellation of contract

I joined the zonefitness center at Parow, after a month I realised that I wouldn`t be able to use the facilities due to work schedule. Then I cancelled the contract, but they keep on SMS me. I wrote an email cancelling for the second time, then they call me then I cancelled for the 3rd time.they threaten to sue me even though I had never use their facility and after 3 times cancelling my contract with them.

I've joined them to in December 2015 and when I called to cancel coz the Jim was to far for and infect the consult forced me to sign and told me because she's not staying far from me she will come pick me up go to the Jim together it never happened I've never set foot in any of the Jim now I get calls and sms they also threning me they going to hand me over to lawyers every month coz my account is in arrears and I still pay them that arrieas amount every month to coz they made my installments from the 3Rd of every month evan tho I get paid on the 25th but yet they keep smsing I'm in arrears it's not fair
