I am writting this complaint to advise people contemplating on ordering form ZARAWIGS.COM to not order from them. Althought their prices are decent their customer service is horrible. The owner Michelle is so dam rude and disrespectful to customers who spend their hard earned money for her products it is unbelievable. First of all a custom made lace front unit they state takes 6-8 weeks to produce. But actually you can end up waiting up to three months to get your unit. Plus while you are waiting and trying to contact customer service they rarely answer the phone, then when you get someone they are rude to you like why are you calling. Then if you send an e-mail they take forever to get a reply. Basically the company is poorly handled and so is the customer service. I would advise people to order from some other company.

I dunno, the problem with this forums it only show the negative side, what's the positive? what's the quality of the product? i don't care about customer service, I need a good wig and don't mind waiting.

Wow, I'm heartbroken to see that Zara Wigs STILL so not know how to treat their customers and respect the fact they are receiving people's hard earned money. While I find their units to be amazing (once you finally get it), their customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. I was just speaking to my sister about trying them again after a 2 year hiatus, but after seeing these posts, I'm scared to gamble. And yes, iWAS a customer.

I have been a loyal customer of Zara wigs for over 5 years. The service and quality of the products were great. Excellent customer service. However all this changed this January 2015 when I ordered a quick shipped and a custom order wig. I am yet to receive the wigs or my money back. I have called, email, left messages to no avail.

I ordered from Zara Wigs in 2009 before any of the negative reviews. I'm only posting this review now because a workmate said she was considering buying from them, and I told her about my disastrous experience. She didn't believe me, as their website looks so professional, so I decided to check the reviews on the off chance my claim could be backed up. I'm both pleased and not pleased to find out I'm correct.

In 2009 I'd heard only positive things about them, and so I invested $700 in a custom unit. Not only did the unit take 4 months to arrive (which seems like nothing compared to what most of the other reviewers had to go through), it was not the hair type that I had ordered. During the additional 2 months of waiting, Miracle and Michelle kept giving me the run around. Prior to this, my emails were answered within several hours; post, my emails went ignored. I had to resend them after a day, and then again the following day, and then the next, before I'd get a reply. I left messages on their answerphone, but they never called back. When they did reply to my emails, they'd claim (to each in turn) that they never received them, then try to fob me off with excuses about why the unit was taking so long.

They kept up this [censored]ck after I'd received the unit and had contacted them (very politely, I might add, even though by now I didn't feel they deserved my politeness) regarding the wrong type of hair issue. Two weeks before any response, and then more excuses. I wanted to return the unit and get a refund, but I didn't trust them to find an excuse not to give me one, so I begrudgingly kept the unit. For what it was, it wasn't a poorly made wig; but it wasn't what I ordered.

I'm dissappointed to see Zara Wigs are still trading. I hope my colleague will decide not to buy from them.

It's a darn shame all the complaints I read on Zara now. Mater of Fact, when you type Zarawigs in Google COMPLAINTS pop up. I sadly had to end my business with them after 2 years of impeccable service. Something happened in 2010 and they haven't been the same since. Awful hair, awful service, and they lie to you for no good reason. Zara used to be the best. :(

I agree.. I placed an order at zarawigs.com some time in feb or march of last year. I called and e-mailed several times as shipping term had expired and I had not idea where my unit was. No answer. So, I call the store instead of customer service and one of the saleswomen take my order number down and by that time I was fed up even though I really wanted the unit. In fact, I'd ordered a unit from Asia way after my order with Zara and it still came before theirs. I asked the store clerk for a refund and my tone dared her to deny it lol so I was granted my refund. Then, June/July comes around and here I am getting a phone call saying that my unit was ready! I told them about the refund transaction from months before and that I wouldn't be taking the wig. But in my head I'm thinking: "Three months later. REALLY?" They had terrible customer service at least for online orders that is. For $500.00+ a person would think that the customer service would be bomb along with the quality. I'd say that what they charge is too much money to be playing around with someone. But anyway, I don't think I'll ever order from them again. And no I am not some secret business trying to slander Zara.

Kisses!

I have to agree that the wigs ordered from Zara do not always arrive on time. What is most confusing is that the in-stock wigs take longer than they should to arrive. I can only imagine how long custom wigs take to ship to customers. I ordered a wig from Zara last Fall, a Spanish Curl in-stock wig which I thought was to be shipped to me in 7 days. Zara representatives should make it clear to customers what the ordering and shipping process entails for in-stock wigs because by in-stock one would believe that the wigs are readily available and ready to be shipped off to customer right away (from the store to U.S location in 5-7 business days), not from the warehouse all the way in China, to arrive to the seller in 7 days, the seller then has to wash and condition the unit and then finally ship product off to customer. An in-stock wig took a little under 3 weeks to arrive to me. I liked the quality of hair of the wigs Zara offers because I prefer a thicker head of hair, but when my wig arrived it looked nothing like the wig on the website. I know some styling is done to the wigs on the site, but after months of styling and wearing my unit; my unit still looks nothing like the wig I saw and fell in love with on the site. I was inconvenienced by the shipping aspect of the buying process because I ordered the wig hoping to receive it in time for a trip I was going on; instead I had to think of something else and fast. My overall suggestion for Zarawigs is to clearly state how long your in-stock wigs will take to arrive to paying customers, because as stated above, by in-stock one would assume you have the product on site ready to be boxed and shipped. A bit misleading...

I have been waiting for several months on a custom unit. Jeanette is unbelievably rude (when you do FINALLY get to speak with someone). I will NEVER order from them again. Awful customer service and you DO NOT get your unit on time.

I ordered a yaki wig from them custom order. it took 4 months to come. I got it and the color was a dull blonde. The grade of hair was so coarse and nappy I could not even wear it without fingering out tangles. Basically I never wore the wig outside of my house. Let's not even discuss the brillo french lace cap. How dare them charge so much for their wigs and use 2 dollar hair and french lace caps. I do applaud them on their well organized website. Presentation is everything! Because if they had a brick and mortar store that we ordered from they would be out of business.

Let me add my 2 cents.I ordered a $700.00...32 in chinese remy lace wig from Zarawigs a few weeks ago so I havent recieved my item just yet.The only thing that I can comment on is their customer service and honestly I dont know what the hell some of yall are talking about.I honestly believe that alot of this is outta spite.I tend to loose myself in conversations with the staff at Zarawigs because they are so sweet.I find myself talking to them as if they are old friends. Its rare when I get the answering service and even then at least it asks for your name and info.Anytime I send an email they are quick to respond. As far as customer service I give *****...Thats 5 stars people.I'll rate the quailty of the hair when that time comes.I got'cho back Zara...

I have to agree with the complaints made against zarawigs.com. They basically have horrible customer service, never answer the phone, then act as if you are harrassing them for your order. Plus they take your money and never deliver the product you paid for. This company is basically ripping people off. I would suggest going some where else. BUYER BEWARE YOU WILL BE VERY UNHAPPY IF YOU ORDER FROM ZARAWIGS.COM

I ordered a lace wig for my sister last year January from Zara Wigs and the way I was treated was ridiculous.

First and foremost, my order arrived and it was nothing like the wig I had ordered for my sister, in fact the only thing that was right was the measurements I had given! The hair quality was terrible, it looked as if it was a ball of matted hair, and also there were holes in the lace! The hair colour was also wrong! I contacted Zara wigs who informed me to send the wig back and they would make the relevant changes. Months and months went by and I never received the replacement, I emailed and called them on a number of occasions, when doing so I was given a number of different dates of when the lace would be delivered. I spoke to and received emails from Kate and Michelle. On the phone to me they sounded like the same person and they were both very rude. On email they were very rude also (I still have the emails). At this point it was coming into September and I had enough so I asked for my money back, which they refused to give me at first. As I am from the UK, I had to find out what my rights were when ordering from the US, I then contacted them threatening to take it further, at this point they agreed to refund me. I received the refund, however not for the full amount that I had paid; they also failed to refund delivery charges even though it was their fault. Also as the exchange rate had changed I also incurred losses from that too! I emailed them again asking for a full refund in which they refused to give me!

This was supposed to be a birthday present for my sister and it turned out to be a real disaster!

I really don't understand how they are still running a business; surely people like this should be shut down!

I haven't received my unit so I can't speak to the quality. My order was place with zarawig.com on Oct 4th and as of Oct 18th I have not gotten my order. I order an in-stock unit and was promised if I did that I'd have my order by the 14th, the date of my hair appointment, and it didn't arrive as promised. On the 13th I got a response via voice mail and email saying it would have it by the next day but they couldn't provide a "tracking number". (?) I've contact them just about each day since then, via email and voice mail and haven't heard anything. I'm out $500 and 3 days from my rescheduled hair appointment and still don't have anything. When I could get someone on the phone, they've been nice and respectful and even responsive until the recently

I purchased a lace wig from Zara Wigs, June 2009 it was my first time acquiring one. So I contacted them quite frequently with my questions and the customer service I received was excellent. Not only was the individual pleasant and professional. She answer all my questions and kept me informed on the status of my wig when there was a delayed by either email or called me personally. Even after I received my wig they followed up to make sure I received it.

Regarding the product itself the quality was superior I definitely got my money's worth.

Sincerely

I wish I had seen this site before I ordered my wig. I ordered in the middle of February 2010. One of the representatives came to my house and measured me and showed me the many kinds of hair which made me feel like this was a legitimate business and professional. After waiting the 8 weeks for my wig to arrive I continuously called to check the status of my wig and most of my messages were unanswered. I didn't want to cancel the order because I would lose my $250.00 deposit. When I received the email the wig was ready for shipping, I tried to pay online and found I couldn't. I had to call the rep and give her my info for payment which I didn't like. I finally received the wig in the middle of June and when it arrived although it was a beautiful color, it was too big. It was supposed to be custom fitted and it was 2 inches too long at the nape of my neck which meant I couldn't wear it in a pony tail. I was so disappointed, but didn't want to send it back because it took them so long to get it to me. I will never buy from them again. I feel like I got taken, I mean I was ripped off.

The lace front wig business is horribly competitive and we've had competitors pose as customers to complain on boards. Love1, who complained recently, is probably a competitor attempting to tarnish our business. Michelle does not handle customer service calls, and has not handled customer service calls in years. The person complaining that Michelle is "sooo nasty" is lying, I can guarantee she hasn't spoken with Michelle. It is such a shame that others would attempt to trash businesses that people work hard to build. And it's also more of a shame that websites allow people to post unverifiable complaints against legitimate businesses.

We've never tried to use message boards to tarnish competitors because we're capable of competing fairly, and squarely, on our own merits. Any person with a legitimate complaint can post their order number, or the last 5 digits, and we can respond fairly, for public record.

I must agree with the above comment - do not order from Zarawigs.com. The frustration you may have to endure to get what you paid for is not worth it. Trust me. While I cannot attest to the verbal rudeness or disrespect of Michelle, I can attest that she does not respond to emails or voice mail messages requesting corrective action (at least not mine). But, if not returning phone calls or responding to email messages to correct Zarawigs.com mistakes can be considered rude and disrespectful, then yeah, the adjectives are appropriate and accurate. In my opinion, this is not a business worth your hard earned dollars or your precious time.

At zarawigs.com we are not rude to customers, nor do we mistreat customers. We have no customer named "Ashley Morgan" and it bears noting that the "customer", herself, uses profanity in her complaint, which causes us to question the validity of the complaint. We treat all customers with respect, however, if any customer calls our office and uses profanity during the discussion, we immediately cease verbal contact with that customer.

Also, it bears noting that Michelle doesn't take customer service calls, directly, so the chances that a customer would speak directly with Michelle are slim, let alone be mistreated.
