I was updating my card in the account setting in YuppTV. I click update card and nothing happens. Later, when I check my account statement I see that I have been charged 42 times from YuppTv. First of all why the hell are you even charging a customer for updating their card. What's most annoying is that my bank blocked my card because they thought someone was abusing my card since no responsible, moral business would charge their customers 42 times within a couple of minutes. This happened on June 3, 2016, it is now July 7, 2016. I've been calling tirelessly day after day, thinking that maybe they'll actually do the right thing and refund the 42 charges but they haven't. They say that the charges don't appear in their end, so I sent them screenshots my bank forwarded showing the 42 charges. Even after handing over those screenshots that clearly show they charged me they refuse to refund my card. If you want to hand over you card to a scamming organization go ahead, they won't have any shame in charging you 42 times for no reason at all. The customer reps will lie and tell you whatever they want to get you to hang up. I'm not an unreasonable person but the customer service in YuppTv is terrible. Other organizations like Amazon will make refunds immediately even if it wasn't their fault directly. YuppTv wont' even refund when they mistakenly charge you 42 times.

Hi, I just interested to subscribe a south Indian package with yupptv...before the payment I had online chat with yupptv customer care ..the lady inform me that my package for one month cost is 24.99 $ + 10 $account activation + 10 $ device activation, total is around 45 $, I am not sure about the TAX..If it is +TAX...What is this ? Device activation and account activation ?I do have my own device and I am paying money to them, even they need to activate my account with 10$ extra...I never hear such offer even in INDIA ...These company is trying to take extra money from customers ..They think Indians who were working outside have more money...can do any tricks ...Please friend ..before any subscription payment please ask them ...for the price ...they do have some hidden prices ...And that amount are not refundable once we made a transaction ...Everything is gone ?...Please Buy product who gives better offer to customers...take care

broadcasting - streaming very poor quality
Today, I tried to watch a SUN TV Program from CATCH UP TV.. For first few minutes, I was able to watch it fine. Then, the sound was gone. Then the picture was gone.. Then it just stopped. After several minutes, it started again. This is not an occasional problem. Quite frequently this happens. This is a great nuisance as well as headache. Why this happens? If there is any alternative, I would switch immediately.

why Telugu's and all other Desi's sign up for yupptv and why not look for other providers.there are plenty available in market.

package renewal
Hi, I started subscribing Yupp TV package since 3rd August. I remember it was yearly package for 15X.XX $. Now i got an email mentioning that 6 months package is over and auto renewal for next month has began with 2X.XX $. In my profile info it doesnt show the previuos package i had, and when called they say i have only 6 months package subscription. Why can t i get the previous transaction details ?
In the email i recieve i dont have the package information it just says package name and amount but doesnt mention the yearly or half yearly subscription. Need Help here ASAP.

I have taken YuppTV Subscription in Feb 2016 where paid USD 139.99 amount for one year Hindi Silver package in Singapore. When I have seen my current CC Bill then found YuppTV have added additional USD 10.00 charge on my Credit Card Account.
I have talked to their customer care and they informed me to apply extra charge as Account Activation fee which was nowhere mentioned when I purchased the subscription from them. Customer Care told me that it was written in "Terms And Condition" on their website, so looks like completely cheated by them where they are selling products without providing complete pricing policies to the customers.
If they are willing to apply all these charges then why they have not shown it while purchasing or during payment so that customer will again make up their mind before making payment. But they charge you only USD 139.99 during subscription which includes device activation and let in your bill you will see additional USD 10.00 charged on your card.
Pissed off with YuppTv on this. I advice users to be aware while taking YuppTv Subscription and completely read all terms and conditions before taking any subscription with them.
Felt cheated by a Global Company. Extremely bad experience.

customer service and billing and subscription expiry date
I have yupptv account in 2015 and it was expiring on October 12th 2015 but I renewed on October 2nd 2015. When renewed they said that I will get 1 month free as per special offer. Now package should expire on nov 12 th 2016 but it is ending nov 2nd. I emailed multiple times I didn't get response. I finally called them and questioned about it but rep said that those 10 days are included in that 1 month. I said it was said differently when renewed then that person hung the call which is not acceptable. They are not at all nice to customers. After that I did chat with another rep Murali. He said that if we renew before expiration date we will loose those days. If we don't renew then it goes monthly. So we have to remember and renew on the same day of expiration date. How stupid it is! I am going to disconnect this service after this term. I don't recommend this service to anyone. I recommended many people to yupptv but now it doesn't have same service before.

New smart TV app for LG from Yupp TV is a disaster. Earlier we used to select the channel we wanted both live and VOD and select the programs we wanted to watch. beware of Yupptv Yupptv people is making autodebit payments from the customers. dont share the bank details to them. i took one yr subscription. After completion of subcription, it will go to monthly subscription automatically and the money will be auto debited from bank account. When i raise the issue, they said it is a company terms & conditions. i am really surprised that even the GOVT institutions will interrupt the services if the customer did not turn up, but this private firm has all the rights to take the money from the bank account. how come this firm isoperating without business ethics.

This complaint seems to be going on and on for years. I empathize with folks who got charged in the name of renewal, double charges in case of you go for a yearly package without realizing that YuppTV is already charging your card without your authorization. They have the shady practice of ripping-off unaware customers.
I had a terrible experience with Yupp TV annual subscription, which as per my Account page, is 'non-recurring', getting automatically converted into monthly subscription and my card getting charged without my authorization.
You will get an email after they charge your card. When you try to contact them, you will face the endless queuing music. And if you try to chat with their customer support, their amateur customer service personnel will just say that, the conversion and charging is as per their 'terms and conditions'.
In my case, I contacted them at the last day of annual subscription expiry. By that time they charged me for the remaining month. When I had a annoying time chatting with amateur guy, he said, 'Fine, as a valuable customer, we will refund' as if they were doing some favour. He told me that he cannot cancel my account immediately and said, I will be charged till then. Yes, I am told, I cannot cancel on my last day of my yearly package.
The story did not end there. There was not communication from them after that. But, I was promptly charged on the first of next month. When I went through the same agony of calling them. That guy simply says that, 'the earlier guy, did a small mistake, he did not allocate my earlier complaint to anyone and hence I am being charged'. I could not believe the level of irresponsible answer I was getting. Now, after few days, when they did the refund, they did only part of the amount they charged me. Now, it's again my turn to follow it up. Be aware of these shady YuppTV guys, who are ripping off their customers without customer's knowledge.
yupp hindi gold not working. some channels don't have sound, for some screen always freezes

I originally took yupp tv gold telugu package for a monthy rate of 19.99$ However I upgraded to Telugu Paltinum yearly package on the same day for 179$ Now i noticed in my credit card bills that i have been charged 19.99$ for the past six months for the gold package even though i had upgraded to the platinum package. I spoke with the customer care, an they are only willing to refund my money for the past 2 months (ie 40$) . They have extended my yearly subscription for the 3 months and refunded 2 months of payment.

I paid in full for one year of Yupp TV subscription. My TV is not a smart TV. I have talked to them at least 5 times by now to send me a remote and equipment that will make this TV work. I have received the worst service ever! I can not get my money back either!

I am facing very serious issue with the Yupptv service, the service is not constant every time i wanted to see Live or catch up service there is always an issue with the Service. This issue is still not solved and Yupp tv only making fool to the customer, there are no exit policy in between whether you like or not...no option for favorite... no option to see the programs until you do to no to that channel..really sucks... :(

Recently started to have a problem watching channels and i am continuously reporting the same using live chat and calling . They ask me to restart the device.Not fixing the problem not providing a replacement of the device or refunding the amount i have paid.
Some customer executives are arrogant, rude and they hang up the calls with out answering.
Mark my words, you dont respect customer.. your company goes down. Its a very simple mantra that most US companies realize. For Desi channels, so much competition coming. i guess time to forget YUCCK TV

I am using yupptv from last 2 years. I never faced major issues with them. I face issues only when i am using my wifi on many devices. It will work fine once i stop using other devices. They need min 5 mbps speed.
unable to deliver the set up box
I Placed an order for yupp tv package on 17th of June 2015. They said they would deliver the set up box within 5-7 business days. Unfortunately, they could not find my building/apartment and it was taken back to the USPS office at Arlington heights. I contacted the Yupp TV chat support team for more than 7 times and their customer service agents more than 5 times till date in the past 1 month. I requested them to cancel my order many times. They are unable to ship it again and they are not cancelling my order and refund the amount that I paid while ordering the service. They keep on trying to convince me saying that they will deliver the set up box and I am fed up hearing this for the past 1 month.

I was having Hindi and Marathi Silver package 29.99 . They have only Zee TV and Z cinema in hindi. I asked them to remove hindi package and just keep Marathi. They said just to take two channel out I have to pay $10 reactivation fee and $ 20 Device Activation fee again. I was with them for almost 1 and half year and when I first started using service they told me this activation and device activation charges are lifetime! Its really annoying when just to remove couple of channels I have to pay $30 again! Also they have only 5 to 8 good channels and others are all news and scrap channels which nobody watch. Seriously more than $150 a year isn't worth for few channels which you can watch almost free! Don't waste you precious $$$$$!

I paid $ 170 for YUPP TV - Tamil on 9-Feb-2015. Promised two weeks delivery. Today 6-Mar-2015 not received. Order # 806528. Called their customer service. They checked my address 20 times. All lies on dispatch. Not refunding with penalty. Very poor service and no management to talk. Their web site does not have their office telephone to contact. Only poorly paid call center guys to call. Stay away! Do not get cheated.

It's been a week to have subscribed with YUPP TV channel. I have already called thrice to the customer care service regarding the channels disconnecting frequently. Everytime I call, they will ask me to off the TV and and my wifi device. And restart it after 10 minutes.
Is this what I paid for?I am looking for a solution. I am not satisfied with this kind of solution. Why shall I have to call customer service thrice just in a week of subscription? This is a poor app. I read other reviews on other websites as well which means this is common issue.
I'm experiencing buffering issues too. Every time I call them they change something on the servers (or may be they do nothing) and ask me to restart the box. It works for a while and the buffering issues come back. Either the issue is out of their hands or they are playing games. I've started looking for an alternative.
We paid annual membership for the Tamil diamond package and after 3 months of service it stopped working. Customer service is not responsive. Each and every customer service reps will give different answers. Please stay away from this company, and look for some other providers.
no technical support from last 6 months
I am Manjunath currently in Fribourg Switzerland and is a customer of YuppTV from last 8 to 10 months. However from last 6 months i have a problem watching channels and i am continuously reporting the same using live chat feature the have. They are just asking me to restart the device with no use and the problem still persists. They are neither solving the problem nor reimbursing the amount i have paid in last 6 months. I even tried calling their support team in UK and the executives are arrogant and they disconnect the calls with out answering the queries i have got. Even after repeated requests to address the issue i am facing and for a call back arrangement, YuppTv executives never came back to me. I request you to take action against these idiots and teach them a lesson so that they learn respecting customers even post sales and address the issue users have got. This is a paid online TV service but the quality is not good at all.The live streaming as well as "catch-up" both are very slow most of the times.
Their Indian TV service is horrible, the channels do not load and the apps are very buggy. PS3 app crashes the system regularly and none of the US channels will load at a certain time in ios App. Not sure if they provide these channels legally.
