Younevercall.com / Rebate scam
Younevercall.com is an online cell phone sales business, which touts its great rebates. I purchased two Motorola Rzer phones from them, with a Cingular service plan, in August last year, with the anticipation that I would have a total of $400 in rebates after the end of six months. Because of a mistake in the intitial order, I struggled for weeks to correct two wrong phone numbers. Telephone calls led to representatives in a foreign country who had trouble understanding my problem, and who failed to correct it over and over. Cingular itself was flummoxed by the issue, first issuing new sim cards in a number that could not be used. But leaving Cingular out of this, I notified Younevercall.com of the change in phone numbers and was told that the rebate would not be affected.
Now, after gathering all the blasted six months of bills from Cingular, photocopying the bar codes, filling out the multiple forms, filling this rebate form at the precise date allowed, I am informed that changing the number left the rebate offer "null and void."
This company does not put one iota of energy into cusomer service after the order is made. I advise anyone seeking a new cell phone to stay far away, and to rest assured that getting a rebate out of them is very unlikely.
