India Yamaha Motor pathetic after saler service/non availablility of spares

Below is the chain mail Fwd across myself the backend office and authorised yamaha dealar named Bangalore wheels

Non Availability of spares/Pathetic after service from yamaha authorised dealer's.Friday, 24 September, 2010 3:39 AMFrom: "sachin sachin" View contact detailsTo: "Back Office" Cc: [protected]@yamaha-motor-india.com, "Chanderpal/IT/SJP/YMI" , "Amit_Kumar/IT/SJP/YMI"

Hi All

As promised by the the below given mail i was suppose to get a response with in 48 Hrs now where is the response neither i got a mail nor a message neither a call. i Don't understand what the hell is happening in the background and the Bangalore wheels tech informed me finally that the Bore piston and rings needs to be replaced and for this diagnosis he took close to 23 days to come to that conclusion. And i don't understand which freaking ### trained these technician's to and who certified them be a trained Yamaha mechanic and i don't think they even know to service a Yamaha Crux forget about R15 it's too far. and imagine the engine is screwed up with in just 22000 Kms and god help me in the future with the bike and the expenses.

You freaking ###'s if you are in capable of servicing the bike with in committed bike let me know where is the right garage and who is the right mechanic who can get my bike fixed.

If i don't get a proper response this time am going to file a case in the consumer court regarding non availability of spares, pathetic after sales service, Replacing spares from the vehicle without informing the customer, and not adhering to delivery with in the committed time.

Regards
Sachin

HI All

This is with reference to the job card Number 10085 finally got the delivery of the motorcycle on 14-Sep to have more additional problems in the vehicle in spite of giving 15 Day's of time for the vehicle to get serviced and spending 5408/- precisely, the bike has still got the same problem where in the noise from the head is more annoying then before. Mr.Andrewson had personally inspected the bike informed me to ride it for a week or at least for another 500-600Kms and get the bike again the Valves checked once again.

The reason me sending the mail again is to keep you informed my vehicle seam's to be out of warranty and again after spending so much time and money the issue still persists and in fact worst than before. And am really not comfortable riding the bike with so much of noise from the engine. What if in the coming day's if the vehicle breaks down in the remote places who is going to be held responsible for all the expenses and the inconvenience of getting the vehicle back to the service station. Since the same incident happen on the same day when i got the bike on 14-Sep i had a break down and literally had to tow the bike for close to 10Km's to reach home and back to garage the following day.

I understand the vehicle is out of warranty, Am not asking for any charity from you people since I've spent so much of time, energy and money on this vehicle, noise is worst than before what i had when i gave the vehicle for servicing on 01-Sep.

The mileage and the overall performance of the bike is worst and in fact pathetic compared to the performance of the bike before the service which is not acceptable.

And i believe i have all the Rights to question why should i go through all this inconvenience when it's being serviced from the trained Yamaha technician's?

2.why is the noise from the engine worst than before?

3.when do you want me to get the vehicle back to get this fixed since I've covered 200Km's(10-20Km's Towing) from the time i got the bike delivered after service?

3.how many more day's do you need to get the bike fixed so that i can think for an alternative for the daily commute?

4.are you Confident that this time you are going to get this fixed with out the same problem in the near future?

5.How much it's going to cost more?

I expect a reply on this ASAP so that i can act accordingly so that this problem is fixed as quick as possible.

Invoice number:40560

Invoice number :WS2831(Perfect motor's)
Manual Bill :22932 / 3624 (Bangalore wheels)

Finally i wanted to know if you all trained technician's for Yamaha cannot fix it do i have an alternate option to get his fixed else where please do let me know.

Hi All

This mail is to bring to your notice that my Vehicle Yamaha R15 is in Bangalore wheels garage from 01-sep-10 and till date it's still in the garage.

it happend like went to the garage on 01-sep because of strange noise from the head from past 3-4 day's our good known trained technician informed that we are not sure about the issue until unless we open it and should have a through check.

later on after 2 day's after calling the service supervisor repeatedly informed me that the rack arm and the oil seal in side the head needs to be replaced and asked for 7-8 day's of time to get the spares from the manafacturer.and the approx bill for should be around 4000/- i readily agreed and informed them to carry on with the service.

And after almost no response from showroom tried reaching them they informed me that the spares has already arrived and the rack arm pin is missing and again i need to wait for an other 1 week.

i believe this the spares for yamaha R15 which is still in production and the spares are not available and for the bike to get fixed i need to wait for close to 15 Day's even though i readily agreed to pay for the service.

Do you think this is justified if yes give me a valid reason why should i wait for 15 day's for damn bike to get fixed.

FYI

this is not the first mail am forwarding across, this the 3rd or the 4th mail regarding NON-AVAILABILITY OF SPARES.

earlier tyres were not available the alloys were not available my life has become miserable from past 2 year's since i got this bike

And Mr.Prabu i believe i've sent a mail earlier as well what exactly have you done for the betterment of your after sales service.

And for your kind info if the authorised yamaha dealer's cannot service the available bike
in bangalore they can look out for a better bussiness so that in turn i can sell my bike look for a better vehice for my daily commute.

and Prabhu again would like to have some response from your end as well regarding this since the bike lying in your garage from past 11 day's.

India Yamaha Motor Bike Vibration

Hi, i m Rushabh Savla, From Mumbai.
I own a YAMAHA FAZER, MH 01 AK 6746.
The bike is rili very good, and gives me a solid perfomance, buh the only problem i m facing is about the vibration in my engine..
The problem of vibration is a manafacturing defect as told 2 me by yamaha service center mechanic... The Problem is from the tym of my 1st servicing... The Servie center in Lower Parel ve been giving me stupid excuse from the past 6 months n i m rili vy disappointed with them... The engine covers a warranty ofr 2 yrs buh this ppl say that i ve 2 pay for each n every part of my bike... The clutch housing of my bike is loose n keeps on rotating... The service center pl say its ok buh its not ok as the other mechanics of other Yamaha service center say that there is a problem & it needs 2 fixed soon or it may create trouble in the long run... Its rili absurd when my hardly earned moiney is getn wasted behind these ppl who are not even ready 2 check the whole thing 1c..
I request the other yamaha users not 2 give ur bike t the LOWER PAREL Service Station, the mechanics there r not rili worth... Instead go 2 sum other service center in mumbai..
I want the Company 2 get bak 2 me as soon as possible...

To The Authority,

This is a complaint against "Yamaha Authorized Service Center"
The purchase date of my Bike "Yamaha Fazer" was 24/10/2009.
I completed 1month time with 1000kms run & gave the bike to the service center for 1st servicing on 26/11/2009. In the evening, after submitting the bill amount, I found my bike was standing in side carelessly without any improvement not even cleaning was done. I need a strong answer from the "Yamaha India" company for that unsatisfactory work and I demand compensation for wasting my precious time & money. If i do not get proper response from the concern, I will be bound to knock The respectable Indian Constitution. The brief details of my bike & service issues are given below.

On the firste service i had a scratch on my bike's petrol tank, that part was replaced on 2nd service. On third service again had some scratches on tank, that was polished n corrected after long conversation with the supervisor. Yesterday after 4th service 3 of yamaha logos are missing, mechanic says that we don know anything abt that. This is totally unacceptible. Dont know what the hell is happening in Bangalore Wheels (one of the authorized service center in Bangalore). Those people handle the bikes so carelessly.

Just spent $1, 200 repairing a transmission on a 2009 Yamaha 950 V Star classic with only 3, 500 miles on it. Tooth sheared off in first gear and Yamaha would not stand behind its product. My next bike will not be a Yamaha !

Back in 2005 I bought a new WR450 yamaha. I explained I would be riding the bike back and forth from Cedar City area to St George everyday, and there was a little stretch I had to take the freeway on, the rest I could stay on dirt. So they recomended this bike with the Baja kit on it. I paid to have it installed. Then I took it down to Southern Utah, and rode it to work, it handled great in the dirt and I was thinking it was going to work out fine, but I noticed it shifted hard on first gear. Then when I was riding home, the light got more and more dim till I could hardly see at all. So I called the dealership that I bought the bike at and they told me to take it to a place in St. George and they would look at the bike and the dealership would make arraingments for payment. The dealer ship that installed the Baja kit didn't have the windings re-done, which I was told is in bold letters in the instructions. The windings were re-done and I got the bike back, I rode it once more and parts started falling off the bike. The kick lever, the heat shield, a side cover, etc. I'm a big guy and I'm not a crazy rider so this seemed a little strange. Again I took it in and complained of the 1st gear shift problem. They put in a couple of new bolts, tightened things up, wouldn't replace the heat shield. But I was up and riding again. They told me the first gear thing wasn't a problem. I explained I wasn't a novice rider and there was certainly something wrong with it. After the initial break in miles they went through everything again and told me it was fine.
I called the dealership and told them I would like to return the bike as it was always in the shop and I wasn't saving any money in gas by owning it as I had to drive my car or truck all the time anywise. They said they didn't have enough history to call it a lemon and I was stuck with it. Within the next couple of times down the mountain I was riding 70 miles an hour on I-15, and the bike locked up. I had a diesle tractor trailer following behind me, and here I am trying to keep from laying it down while it slides to a stop. I managed to keep it up, and make it to the side of the road without getting ran over by the truck. After I got it back to the shop I learned 1st gear had locked up on the shaft and had caused the lockup. Now that it had nearly killed me I really wanted to get rid of that bike. I called the dealer again and told them with the # of problems and complaints it was considered a lemon and under the lemon law they had to take it back. They said they would refuse and charge me for it anywise. I said I would take it up and drop it off on their door step. They said fine they would still charge me for it. I didn't have money for an attorney, so I ended up thinking I was going to purchase a bike I couldn't ride. Yamaha inspected the bike and verified the problems were not caused by negligence on my part and agreed to pay for the repairs. As I had barely had it long enough to break it in. Then I got the bill, they paid for the parts and charged me for the labor. Now they were trying to chage me for faulty partrs that had caused my near death. I again to them I didn't want the bike it had to many problems. They again refused and said I would pay for it no matter what, and if I did anything to get rid of the bike it would destroy my credit. So I kept paying on it. It then developed a problem and wouldn't keep runing. By this time I knew taking it to a dealer or mechanic was a mistake, so I tried cleaner, cleaning out the pepcock, carb, nothing seemed to work. It would run fine then die and couldn't be started again. I checked the spark and it was good and strong. So I think it was a fuel problem. So I couldn't ride it to work, I couldn't ride it away from home, or a vehicle, if I rode at all it had to be with friends or all up hill, so when it died I could coast it back to the truck. I was then paying for a worthless bike, and again I tried to give it back.
Then I lost my job, so I wrote to Yamaha and explained that I had moved to Nevada, had lost my job and I could no longer pay for the bike and it no longer mattered if it destroyed my credit because with everything else I now couldn't pay it was destroyed anywise. I asked for a reprieve to see if I could get things going again at least and they refused they reposesed the bike, sold it to someone else and are now trying to the another 4, 500 from me for a bike that I couldn't ride when I had it and now someone else owns it, and they are still trying to charge me for it.
I have had Yamaha's in the past and loved them. But as is the case with many large companies they start trying to cut corners to make more money and the quality goes to pieces. The only way they maintain any presence in the market is because of the product they sold in the past. My advise now is DO NOT BUY YAMAHA! Look at all the problems and complaints before and after this, and consider their business practices as well. I've never been riped off so bad. But I suppose they are getting desparate for money as their product has fallen so badly in value.
Hopefully this helps others not make the same mistakes I did. By the way Susuki has improved, Kawasaki has come a long way, and I will like Honda until I start seeing things happen like this.

Hi, I Purchased a Yamaha Ray Bike On May 24th 2014.. Since Then Till Now I Have Not Got the Number For My Vehicle...
Selling Out The Vehicle is just Their Work, They are Not at all Responsible For Other Formalities After That.
Its Been 6 Months For me Purchasing the Bike & I have not Received my Bike Number Yet..
Its Utterly a bad Response I got From Yamaha Executives... If i Call Them They Will Receive the call & pass it to some one who is not at all involved in it..
I Call Chirag (Sales Executive ) for getting my work done because he was the one who suggested to buy Yamaha bike, instead i would have opt for Honda Brand.. Finally i asked him the managers number to ask why its delayed to get my work done, but he indirectly refused to give the managers number..
Finally i got the managers number from the web, contacted him & told about my issue.. he solved it & told me that my number will be couriered with in 2days... Now Waiting for the Courier... Lets see what happens...

Hi, I totally agree with Peeyush Sodhia. I will narrate my case here. The story goes like this, you purchase a brand new bike, your are off too office the next day and the bike develops a puncture. There is a no tyre shop near by as you are going through the VIP lanes of AKBAR road. The tyre is tube less so you reach the a tyre repair shop, get it repaired and try to forget it as a stroke of bad luck. But... the story repeat it too often around 10 times in 7 months. Now you are sure, it is not bad luck. It must be manufacturing problem. You goog for it and found, yes you are right. There are many complaining about the same.

Please forward me contact number, email ID, anything you have. I want to take up the case properly.

I strongly agree to the complain... The kind of service provided is pathetic...

Even for free service, every time I had paid on an average 450 Rs..
Even that would have been ok, if the services were good... but I am really dissatisfied with the services...

1. From the 1st sevice i have complaining about average, they charged for all the possibilties evertime, but no results...

2. There were more then 6 punctures within 7 months... The puncture happens even by very small pins.
If this is the situation, then what is use of having it..?

And I guess the problem of Puncture is there with lots of FZ-16...

I look forward for proper reponse from your side.

Here are some detials about me.

India Yamaha Motor service

I bought a 2005 Venture with 3800 miles on the bike. This is the 16th bike I have owned and have problems with the bike that I have never seen before in any of the previously owned bikes.
I took the bike in for a 4000 mile check and advised the Dealer that did the work that the bike has a very noticeable high pitched "squeal" in the transmission and/or clutch at normal speed- 55-65 mph are the speeds that are most noticeable. The front forks, if not held tightly, will oscillate out of control at speeds in the 28-35 mph range. NEITHER of these problems have EVER been on any of the bikes that I have owned. I was told by the Dealer that the noise is "just the noise that the Venture makes" and that the oscillation is normal due to NOT having any damper on the front forks? What the heck is up with that? Surely Yamaha Engineering can build a better bike than that! To be told that is just the characteristics of the supposed "luxury" is just NOT acceptable! The bike still has FACTORY warranty on it. I would TRULY appreciate ANY information from anyone that can provide the name/contact information on a Regional Yamaha Manager that can address the issues DIRECTLY! Should have kept the Wing!

I have a 2014 Viking. I have been trying to obtain a rear skid for about a year. I cannot find one. I have ordered this part from two different Yamaha part dealers.

I do not want to purchase an aftermarket set.
