YAHOO/TRAVELOSITY TRAVEL / REFUND

This is what I e-mailed AYahoo Travel after the THIRD phone call about my refund I was due and receieved it back as a failed error and did not go through. The phone number [protected] is the reservation number and a; call have to go to them, they stated I had to due the e-maail to the Consumer Relations department which probably does not exisist.

Due to TWO errors on Yahoo Travels part I am requesting a FULL refund of my payment for Hotel reservation of $161.18. I should be entitled to the full refund anyway but shoud get something extra for all the trouble. I will NOT book on Yahoo Travel again. On 08/05/08 at 10:13 PM (3 days prior to travel) I made reservation number ***********. After making and paying for the reservation I went to the Hotel Web site to look at some hotel specific information. The Hotel Web site had a LARGE notice on the main page that as of 07/01/08 they no longer accepted pets. I booked this hotel specifically because it did accept dogs, according to the YAHOO Travel web site. Yahoo had not updated this information, of the Hotel on their Web site.
Within an hour of making the reservation I called Yahoo Travel and explained the situation, and told the person I was requesting a cancelation of this reservation, and was making a new one with a Hotel that did accept dogs. My second reservation was ************. (We DID stay at this hotel that weekend). The Yahoo employee did get onto both Web sites and verified the pet information. I was then told that the Manager was not in due to the hour and they would need approval for a full refund without a penality. I was also told I would get a call back within TWO days.
On 08/07/08 I called back to Yahoo Travel (1 day prior to travel) and had to explain the whole situation again. I was told my request was waiting approval. (I think this person just did not want to deal with it). I was told again that I would get a call back within 2 days. Her name was Karon and I was put on hold many times for a long time, but at least she was helping me. She also told me that they did NOT make call backs. She called both hotels and at first was told we had stayed at the first booking number ************. I told her this was NOT accurate and she needed to call them again. When she called back she was told that NO actually we were no shows. She called the second reservation ************ and was told we DID stay on the reserved weekend. Karon told me that YAHOO TRAVEL had not cancelled my reservation number ************, after I called on 08/05/08 or on 08/07/08, therefore the Hotel charged Yahoo Travel for the stay. She told me I needed to e-mail this address and request a full refund. It was not my error that Yahoo Travel DID NOT cancel my reservation as I had called immediately after making it and again two days later. I am entitled to a fiull refund and would expect it ASAP as I have had to explain this over and over. If your reservation people do not understand the rules they need to be trained. Please submit my request for a FULL REFUND TO ME OF $161.18, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. ************, the second booking. As I stated aboev I got this e-mail back.t did not get to Yahoo.

On the 4th phone call I spend approx 45 minutes on the phone and Yahoo AGAIN had to call the hotel and they AGAIN tried to say we stayed thet weekend, I told them to produce anything I had signed and my credit card number I used for incidentals or my vehicle make and license number. They could not produce ANYTHING, The hotel agreeed to refund YAHOO which in turn agereed to refund me. THIS IS REDICOULOUSS ASN IT WAS YAHOOS FAULT FOR THE ERROR IN THE FIRST PLACE AND THEY SHOULD EAT IT. IWILL NEVER USE YAHOO OR TRAVELOSITY AGAIN FOR ANYTHING BECAUE IT TOOK ME 4 WEEKS TO EVEN GET THEM TO AGREE TO MY REFUND AND WE WILL SEE IF I ACTUALLY GET IT IN THE 7 TO 14 DAYS...
