I am so happy to see other people commenting about the "You have won the lottery, send money, or you have inhereited millions" scams. I get them from these
sick individuals a few times a week. I forward their e-mail back to them telling them to F off, & get a real job. I also mention that the average American has seen TV programs about this scam and we are wise to
them. I try to use a filter and "block" these ###! ! !
Isn't this illegal, and can't some government agency put a stop to this?

Yes we to received an email for GBP $1, 000, 000. Told them I would request payment through Paypal... well I haven't heard anything else from them... The money would have been good, as we are low income. As they all tell you - if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. .

plaese!! peolple its so obvious Yahoo/msn lottery doesn`t exist thats bull ### dont be sillly.. since when yahoo and msn are work parterns?
you want to know since when?...since never dumb ### cuz they are competition... this fake co. just want you give money to them and not 10 dollars they are gonna ask you for hundreds of dollars as an exchange for your "winning prize" thats its so ridicuolus, do not give them personal info.. or even your bank acount or worst your credit card number common people ..i know its nice to hear you won a 1, 000, 000 dollars but nobody win cash like that.. those are fake lotteries.. in real lotteries you buy a ticket and if you win you present your ticket and they pay your money... this lotteries dont do this..`
    they just scamm you..

    Hi All,

Even i got the email by saying that i wont prize and i need to pay for courier to get that cheque.
pleasee see below details it will be help ful for u all

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:

    * The following fake company names, fake addresses, non-existent institutions/documents or other details have appeared in scams before:
o "uk national lottery" (can only win this lottery if you bought a ticket)
    * The following phrases in this message should put you on alert:
o "claims office" (real lotteries do not use a "claim agent" / "fiduciary agent")
o "courier company" (Courier companies mentioned in 419 scams are always fake. They will have you send money to them, but won't deliver anything. )
o "cheque " (Beware of any scheme that involves cashing checks or money orders and then wiring a portion of the funds somewhere - you'll be liable for the entire amount if the checks or money orders turn out to be fake, even after you have received and forwarded cash. If it's a lottery prize, remember that real lotteries do not pay large prizes by check. They wire the money directly to your bank account and you do not pay for that. Many scammers promise a large check only in order to then demand payment of courier fees for a fake courier service. )
    * This email message is a fake lottery scam. Consider the following facts about real lotteries:
    1. They don't notify winners by email.
    2. You can't win without first buying a lottery ticket.
    3. They don't randomly select email addresses to award prizes to.
    4. They don't use free email accounts (Yahoo, Hotmail, etc) to communicate with you.
    5. They don't tell you to call a mobile phone number.
    6. They don't tell you to keep your winnings secret.
    7. They will never ask a winner to pay any fees to receive a prize!
    * This email lists mobile phone numbers. Use of such numbers is typical for scams because they allow criminals to conceal their true location. They can receive calls in an Internet cafe from where they send you emails, while pretending to be in some office.
o +447045702456 (UK, redirects to a mobile phone in another country)
o +447024082566 (UK, redirects to a mobile phone in another country)
    * This email lists free webmail addresses. Use of such addresses is typical for scams. Lotteries, banks and any but the smallest of companies do not normally use such addresses. Criminals use them to anonymously send and receive email at Internet cafes.

The YAHOO/MSN LOTTERY INC. has discovered a huge number of double claims due to winners informing close friends relatives and third parties about their winning and also sharing their pin numbers. As a result of this, this friends try to claim the lottery on behalf of the real winners. The YAHOO/MSN LOTTERY INC. has reached a decision from headquarters that any double claim discovered by the Lottery Board will result to the cancellation of that particular winning, making a loss for both the double claimer and the real winner, as it is taken that the real winner was the informer to the double claimer about the lottery. So you are hereby strongly advised once more to keep your winnings strictly confidential until you claim your prize.

This office will not be responsible for any outstanding fees. Services rendered by TRANSWORLD COURIERS LTD are to be paid by YOU and not the lottery board, for the fact that the lottery organisers didn't make any provision for any upcoming expenses, regarding delivery of parcel or any such.

Have it in mind that your won prize cannot be deducted from your winning amount, this is because the total amount has been insured to the real value .This is to protect winners and to avoid misappropriation of funds.

Its is Expected that you add your IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS{PARCEL/NUM/1405}as the subject of any correspondence with the courier company to ensure they respond in a timely manner.

I will require a concise update on proceedings with the firm as soon as you are in contact with them. If you need any assistance whatsoever, please do not hesitate to let me know. Do have a nice day.
