First of all, I was stupid enough to think these expensive electronics could ever sell for approximately 90% off of the retail price. I don't believe Xbids.com is a legitimate site. On 11-7-10 at 6:08pm Auction #9520 froze for the 2nd time with 13 seconds left, then said I had to log in to use the bidding feature. I was already logged in. Then, the timer went away & said no bids yet, but showed how high the bids went to ($50.69) with all of the names down the right side. It didn't show anyone winning and then suddenly went to 0 and showed I had spent $11.40. I was still dumb enough to keep bidding in hopes this was legitimate and I could buy this awesome 55 inch flat screen tv. At 7:27pm I "thought" I was going to win, the timer was at 1 second with me being the "winner", then the auction froze again and the timer was set at 13 seconds. By this time I had wasted over 3 hours of my time and $65.33 later. I had to log on again. I went to my watchlist this time and saw the tv I was bidding on and it showed a winner (supposedly). Funny how I was bidding for over 3 hours and saw a lot of the same names over and over, but never one time did the person who won (again, supposedly) ever place one bid. I don't trust this site what so ever. I wasted time and money (127 bids). One last thing, they suggest you start off bidding on the beginner auctions. And of course they only let you start at the beginner auctions only once. I think everyone who tries the beginner auction and bids on the vouchers to win bids are winning. This way it looks like it's easy to win these so called auctions and they don't even have to send you a product, they just give you however many bids you won, even though your not going to win anything with those bids. I can't believe I fell for this!

I was scammed out of 715.18 by xbids. I did the buy it now at the end of an auction for an Apple Ipad. they took my money immediately but have nver sent the merchandise. that was 2 months ago and I have exchanged numerous emails with them. They keep giving me the run around but never come through with shipping the item or refunding my money. I wish I could get them in a court room in Arkansas.

Be very careful--the site seems to have computer difficulty every time you are about to win. I received one email declaring me the winner of an IPad and then it was cancelled after I gave my credit card info--I would be very cautious.

Xbids.com was a penny auction website during [protected] and the domain expired and has now been purchased by me. I have no affiliation with the old company nor will it ever be engaged in activity like this again. It now forwards to my main company website. I just wanted to set the record straight for anyone who thinks I have any involvement with the previous penny auction company. I do not.

Thanks!

I cannot get logged in either by my username/password or under new registration. For months, the website has been under construction. I found another site, but it doesn't let you do anything. I still have 125 bids that I can't use. I have found no way to contact them.

I guess I am not alone for not receiving the won item, numerous emails which i sent had always the same excuse. I just want them to tell me if they will send it or not (nikon coolpix camera). Yes you are correct, no telephone # to call..It has been almost 2 months since i had won the item, it was fast for them to collect the cost of the winning bid..

They also scammed me. I won a 17" Macbook Pro last December 5, 2010 but NEVER received my merchandise even after numerous of follow-ups in email. I tried calling but they just refer me back to the webpage. By the way, did you notice that the webpage (xbids.com) has been under maintenance for about 2 weeks now? I can't belive they could just do that to us. They certainly taught me to not to trust online shopping (or bidding for this matter).

I found this webpage just a minute ago and I am planning to complaint there too. I think it would be great if you do the same thing so the government will notice the number of victims.

Please read the BBB report about xbids. They have given it F rating. And this is what is on BBB site about xbids .
" The address xbids provides is that of a virtual office which means that they rent space and facilities with other companies and their are no employees at that location"
The telephone number [protected] of xbids is also a fake answering service.
Any body who was charged by xbids should dispute the credit card charge with their bank or credit card company and show them the proof by BBB that xbids is a pure internet scam site without any employees or goods or physical address.

Agreed. Systems crashed and froze my system also. They are engaging in fraudulent activity as they are aware of the "bugs" and thus are not providing the service they adverstise for the funds being provided. I have filed a Complaint with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts AG's office. I suggest you all do the same. Also file a complaint with the San Fransico BBB. Send emails to info@bbbemail.org

ok, I came across xbids through this link when I was on abc.com it took me to breakingnews5.com where it looks like a newsreport on xbids...well come to find this website is fabricated by xbids, I tried clicking on links, like SPORTS, POLITICS, BUISNESS and it took me to an xbids advertisement...I was so stupid too, to believe it was real. I actually bought bids
(before doing research) & won a couple of items and I still havent recevied my shipment. I have emailed them & they haven't email me back. I am reporting this company to the BBB.

I want a class action suit, I can't believe they took me for over 2 hundred dollars then when I won they cacelled the bid, I can't believe this-why should I have to buy bids and what made me think I would get an 829.00 I pad for 60.00 which turns ot to be 2 hundred dollars.
not happy, going to call my credit card company!

Sorry the above calculation for the bid item should be $ 10700 and not $ 1036.02. Not bad for a scam auction site .

I was also taken in by their scam and lost $ 75 in half an hour. When you think you are only bidding one cent at a time it is actually costing you 61 cents and when you think you have only spent one dollar by bidding 100 times it has cost you $ 61 and soon your $ 75 is gone.
Even when the bid price has gone to say $ 17 for an item with retail price of say $ 150 they have made 17x61 cents = $ 1036.02. But the last 15 seconds to close the bid never expires because it keeps on resetting back to 15 seconds and they are making thousands of dollars on some of these non existant items because from the complaints about them on google and other sites they always have some excuse even if some one thinks he has won the bid. " their computer crashed, the electricity went off and your winning bid had to be cancelled" It seems to be just a scam web site and no actual goods and they are ripping off millions of dollars from gullable people.
I gave all this information to my credit card company and they credited my account for $ 75. The fraud unit of my credit card company also tried their toll free number several times and put me on hold with no success. The credit card lady told me that they also know this is a scam and will not let this web site take out $ 75 from my account if I keep all the above information for my records.
You have 90 days to dispute these charges.
Yes if there is an attorney to take class action law suit against these worse than Nigerian scam artists I will be first to sign.
Also complain about them to FTC and the attorney General of San Francisco.

Kenneth said that the auction issue is a fact of life I won't be getting any help from them at all. Interesting. I win an auction they can just do what ever they want with the auctions so that we just spend spend spend. I'm sure they are betting in those auctions as well to make the items go up.

I have a copy of them adding 20 minutes to an auction. I won the auction one time and they did that to me. No win. Scam. If there is a class action I want in.
