I received the following email from my friend with subject "Vacation Reply"

They export all kinds of digital products and offer most competitive and reasonable price and high quality goods for our clients, so I think we you make a big profit if we do business with them.And they promise they will provide the best after-sales-service.In my opinion we can make a trial order to test that.

Eventually I realised that this was a Hacker deal over my friend personal email.

I contacted www.vanigo.com and posted the order No [protected] in 11/2/2009, after which I received the message:

Unit Price: 400 euro
Shipping Cost: 35 euro (TNT delivery method, include handing fee & shipment insurance),

Payment method: Bank transfer (support E-Banking online payment)

In a day I received even the shipment copy

There were no corresponding No here in www.tnt.com
Upon conact www.vanigo.com they answered

You can check there numbers on TNT Transport Company Officia website, and if there is something wrong we will contact with TNT Service ask the details.

After days I received the following email

Sorry to disturb you for the moment, today afternoon we received the notice from the China Customs Service Centeral that your order No.[protected] TNT package tracking numbers GD543085792 WW have been detained by them, that you need to pay 174.5 euro for this Customs VAT taxes duty.If the Customs detained the order package, then you can check the package Status online.

But we can understand your vexed temper and feeling.And the shipping process must like this:The TNT transport company ship your package into the China Customs for checking and the Customs would ask for the Customs VAT taxes for balancing international price.

And your item outed from our company and marked our company information so that they only contacted with us, we just noticed this news to you, so you need to pay this taxes to us and after we have confirmed this payment hand over to Customs in order to get your package out and reship to you, hope you could understand this process!

Really sorry we made a mistake for this sentence:If the Customs detained the order package, then you can check the package Status online.
Should like this:if the Customs detained your order package, then you can not track the package Status online, only the pacakge will be released can continue tracking locality.

We hope you can arrange the order Customs VAT tax duty payment to us soon so that we can hand over to China Customs Service Central get the package out and not delay the arriving time.

my friends i' m one of their victims too.i' m from Greece and they took from me about 600 euros in [protected].i hope police found them..

just dont buy anything with them... i made absolutely the same expierence like a lot others...you send the money and you never receive anything...

Yes, you were scammed. Always check to see if someone you know actually sent you such an offer. THEN, use Google or Yahoo to research the company involved. You will quickly find many links to complaints of fraud as I did. Best of luck in the future. You will have to write this one off as an expensive learning experience.
