Car-Part.com Website - misleading advertising

I needed specific used parts for a salvage inspection for a vehicle and required the highest quality used parts. I contacted the dealer (Adam) "Canadian used auto Parts" Calgary as they advertised “grade A” parts with the Car-part.com. “Grade A” part as advertised on the website. (Grade - A are the highest quality used parts. For body parts, this means that the components have no damage or one “unit” or less of needed repairs)

On Sept 14,2022I paid $1575. Before making the e-transfer, I checked the parts pics on car-part.com that appeared to be in good condition and the dealer reconfirmed parts in excellent condition, no repairs needed.

Sept 20, 2022 When I went to pick up the shipment, one of the items was completely damaged i. e$400.00. I have confirmed with the dealer “intentionally” shipped the damaged part. I have recorded a voice clip (Phone call with dealer), where he clearly admits that prior to shipping he clearly knew the rear panel was damaged and no use for us but then deliberately shipped the part to make a profit and returned the item to the dealer to get full cash credit.

The dealer paid $200 and held $200 as “hostage store credit” which I have no use for and refused to provide any paper work for it. I have followed up with the dealer so many times for paper work and to return the money and they refused to do so.

I work with CARSTAR and heavy relays on www.car-part.com as a trusted source to find parts for vehicles. I have bought many parts from reputable dealer through Car-part and I never had such a concern/rip off with a dealer sending damaged parts and holding money for store credit. This dealer is using Car-part.com to lure customers with misleading advertisment is unfair and deceptive business practices that would mislead the average person. I have submitted a complaint with Car-part.com and the representive told me Car-part.com is unable to get the refund and sided with dealer.

Desired outcome: $200 cash refund and should remove the dealer from the platform.

Car-Part.com Rock Auto car parts

Hello

I purchased a part for my car online through RockAuto they sent me the wrong part now they want me to pay $6.99 for a new shipping label but they have no customer service other than online which is very difficult to understand I need to get a refund and a shipping label at their cost I will send you a picture of said label I have tried numerous times to email them customer service has no phone so the only way to get a hold of them is through email which is impossible please help

Desired outcome: Refund and a new shipping label that I don't have to pay for

Car-Part.com Shipped Me the Wrong engine for vehicle

Hello My Name is Dracy Reed II and I am very disappointed because they never happened to me ever with my experience doing business on car-part.com I ordered the engine from Mike All Star Imports /Reyes Auto in Denver Colorado and he sent me the absolutely wrong engine. I originally ordered a 5.3L LS4 which he claimed that he had listed 4/28/2022 so last Friday it arrived at my mechanic home on surveillance camera and we didn’t unwrap it or nothing because we knew for a fact after they didn’t call they just dropped it off comes to find out it’s a 4.8L no LS4 Engine and not to only mention it’s a rear wheel drive engine my car is Front Wheel drive. Yeah I received the wrong engine from one of these sellers on your site named Mike and I shouldn’t be responsible for reshipment based on receiving the wrong item that I didn’t order his name is Mike and false advertising on the site and he sent me whatever he wanted me to have and took my hard earned money money $1,275 on a wrong engine that’s not even for my vehicle he told me what was my car make and model and I told him and he said oh yes I have that engine in stock with 92,000 miles for $900 you will need a lift gate and that will be an extra $375 delivered to residential address which was my mechanic home. So I went to my mechanic home to check out the engine he completely sent the wrong engine and I have multiple witnesses we didn’t unwrap the engine or nothing it’s still in plastic waiting to be picked back up by Forward Air to go back to sender. Car-Part.com Used engine/sent the wrong engine twice

I am making this complaint because I spoke with a sales person at pnp automotive located at 1931 flushing ave Ridgewood NY about a engine assembly I located on car-part that the said company had advertised on your web sight... I gave the sales person (OJ) the vin number of the vehicle that I was working on in order to get the correct engine... when the engine was delivered we installed the engine and realized after the engine was installed it was the wrong engine because the starter was hitting against the flywheel so I had to pull the engine out to investigate the problem and it turned out to be the engine they sent me had 144 teeth on the flywheel and the original engine has 117 teeth so the flywheel was to big... so at this time I contacted (OJ) and advised him of this matter also I sent him a photo of the flywheel because he asked if I would be able to switch the flywheel but the flywheel did match up to the crank holes on his engine that he sent me so again I forward the photos to his cell phone... at this time he advised me that he would send another engine which he did apx 10 days later and that was the wrong engine after I specified I need a engine with a 117 teeth on the flywheel the one he sent me had 125 teeth I swapped the flywheel installed it but was getting the codes for camshaft again had to remove the engine again I advised him at this time I purchased another engine from best metal in Newark NJ installed the engine and all went well... as for me dealing with PNP (OJ) he is giving me a hard time and will not refund me my money back I tried several times to make it work and i'm in the red on that job due to the time wasted on taking the engine in and out, Thank You... Car-Part.com turbocharger from direct auto sales

Hello im with Full Trading Trading a car dealer/auto repair shop located in dowagiac, mi 49047 and we use car-part almost daily to purchase parts and to check parts transfer. ON 3-29-2019 i contacted a place called

because they had a turbocharger on Car-Part.com, when i talked to them they had sold that one but had another in stock so i told them i would take it. they sent me a credit card authorization form which i filled out and sent to them via text to the number they had told me to send it to and they said they had received it and would send it out and it would be here at my address on wednesday 4-4-19 via fedex. i had contacted them previously in the week to ask for a tracking number which they never gave to me and after calling them about that seemed as thow they would not answer neither phone they had posted as there contact number. then wednesday 4-4 we did not receive turbo charger so we called them and had told them that fedex had ran and no part, they said they would follow up on that and let me know what was up, after hours of waiting there response was they had never sent it out and would send out the same day and that it would be here friday. friday has came and gone and still no part and they will not answer the phone. funds have NOT been pulled from my card which is a good thing but not sure if part is still coming and they are gonna pull funds or not. Really needed part in a quick manner due to our Repo truck is down due to it. Went back on car part and found one at LKQ which should be here tomorrow 4-9-19. Will no longer be purchasing parts from direct auto sales due to bad business practice and dont believe they should be selling parts on car-part any longer due to bad business practice. would like to make sure they will not be pulling funds from my card due to they have not sent part and i have purchased from somewhere else. thanx

Car-Part.com Ignition switch and engine computer

I order the part on 02-23-2017 and they send me a wrong part! I order from Audi A6 2008 it 81K but they send me a A8 2007 and much more miles, I try to call them and they told me, I will call back later and never call me, I call second time and I said, I don't need this part you lied to me they said we can not accept return.Now I need my money back because they lain too me (please do something thanks)

Car-Part.com they didn't reply, because their mail box was full

I opened the website www.car-part.com and have ordered some parts. It was easy to place the order and the seller provided all required information. But after that the whole process stopped. It was strange for me, because I received the information that my order has been sent. I waited another week and decided to contact the seller, but his mail box was full. All my emails were returned.
