BandManagementUniversal scam - they owe everybody money

Bmu owe me £35, 000. I was signed to them for over a year and they did nothing at all except lie. No photos, no help, no mastered recordings, no nothing. And nothing cost me a lot of money.
I have documented proof of everything I am stating here.
We had some major opportunities from overseas deals that I had handed bmu from my own efforts. I was planning to be with this company a long time and we were going to work together to some pretty big results. After a while the company fell on hard times so I even helped them out financially and they still haven't paid me back 8 months later. I even have debt collectors on them now.
They promised us (The band) everything, after a year of drama they said they were booking us 10 o2 shows, to make up for their pitiful actions previously. After promoting the shows and gearing up for the european "tour" that followed, we discovered the shows were fake and not even booked. We had to remove shows we had promoted! How embarrassing is that?
I supposedly had my contract raised to £72, 000 because of overseas developments, but we never ever saw any of the money in any form even when we demanded to authenticate the situation. I would also like to add that every opportunity found was by me not bmu. They never did a thing so I did everything. Every time I got an opportunity I passed it to them and they'd screw it up. 1 year of this ladies and gentlemen.
This company also almost lost me a career changing deal. A big opportunity presented itself to me so I passed it to bmu but the third party company declined to proceed as the third party deemed bmu's conduct unprofessional. I know this because I spoke to that company today and they told me that they were indeed not going to get back in touch with bmu. I was better off speaking to the third party myself, which is crazy when bmu are supposed to nail the management side of things.
I know of 4 companies they owe money to and 4 or 5 of their artists that are taking them to court.
So if you want management that will mess up deals, make excuses and steal your money then bmu are your guys. They owe everybody money. They leave a trail of chaos and drama wherever they go.

Stay away. You've been warned.

Hi there not sure what to say. I did make-up for many BMU's photoshoots, never saw you there.
Good place to get work, and I enjoyed working with the manager on site.

ps: they own you 35k? and you are a band? and they promised you 72k, for a starter band with no following?
Mr. Roman, it is very difficult to believe what you say. And after three years working with them, I do not believe you.

BandManagementUniversal music career development

My Exclusive contract with Band Management Universal was signed in 2014 and our collaboration was meant to be a turning point for my career as a singer/songwriter.

The initial registration fee proposed by the company was over £4000, however, I managed to collect only £2500 and these were all my savings at the time. The company agreed to my offer while ensuring that our collaboration will be fruitful and other staff members seemed to be very engaged and interested in this new upcoming project.

Unfortunately, the spell was broken when I started to realise that Band Management Universal cannot organise anything properly. The first rehearsal session (audition) was great, although the invoice for it was shocking and I thought it could have been budgeted more effectively.

Subsequent studio sessions proved to be a failure as the BMU organised nearly nothing. I ended up having to apologise to musicians and explain why they hadn’t received music sheets and any other material before the session. I was starting to realise that I’m wasting my time and money, not to mention how horrible I felt seeing that nothing is being done as the time is going by.

The only response from the company’s director was to stay patient as they were apparently having problems with their employees, producers, sound engineers, competition and even problematic artists, including myself as I was apparently ‘too demanding and needed to wait’. It was hard to communicate as there were always lots of excuses and I was never really shown any action plan, which I asked about numerous times.

A definite lack of competence, manners and professionalism but that’s not the end yet.

For the amount of £2500 during 18 months I have received 4 rehearsal sessions (out of which 3 were poorly organised) and 1 photoshoot session, where neither stylist nor photographer had any idea what kind of artist image we are aiming for as no information was provided from the management company (BMU).

I had the impression that someone is making fun of me and playing with my money.

There was no possibility of terminating my contract earlier so in the 18th month I was finally able to come out of it, which I did in the form of a formal written letter.

I have still to this date not received a penny back from the £2500 I have paid, which they are obliged to return me according to the contract I signed with them. Neither did they ever respond to my letter / emails / phone calls / text messages.

This was a big lesson, which I would like to thank Band Management Universal as thanks to this dreadful experience I am a stronger person now.

I wish everyone a successful career in music, just BE CAREFUL and PROTECT YOURSELF before you put your money into hands of Band Management Universal.

BandManagementUniversal bad

I would not recommend www.bandmanagementuniversal.com to anyone, these guys are very unfriendly and they really don't care about anything but money.
They are very dishonest, they will promise you all the stars, but remember that all their promises are fake and empty.
We used their service and we regret that.
Working with the is a real nightmare, don't do that!

BandManagementUniversal the company wrongly composed the contract

I contacted the representative of www.bandmanagementuniversal.com. I read about the company and heard that they have many offices and the corporation was really big, but we met in the bar. It was suspicious. I wanted to see the contract, because the company wanted to get $1, 000 from me. My solicitor was also interested in it, but the company’s rep showed it unwillingly. The solicitor found some errors and mistakes, so I denied their proposal and asked to charge the conditions.

BandManagementUniversal they simply didn't arrive

People, stay away from the company www.bandmanagementuniversal.com. Our company paid money to the owners, and they promised to provide the services. We hired them, ‘coz the company offered event videos. These jerks promised to arrive and make the video, but no one showed up. We called them and left messages, but they simply vanished with our money. I wonder if there are people, who have the same problems and what have you done in such situation, please post comments.

This is just a malicious complaint, likely from a rogue competitor who is uncomfortable with the successes of Band Management, UK.
The brainless complainant miss fired by saying that he or she paid for event videos coverage, a service Band Management do not provide.
If you want to fight a competitor, plz work hard to improve your services, not fabricating lies against them.
Get a job.

BandManagementUniversal they fooled me and artists never showed up

I recently called to the company www.bandmanagementuniversal.com and asked if they could provide 10 artists for me for small project. The rep agreed and asked to pay the deposit. I paid about $500 and waited for the day, when the artists arrived. But no one arrived on the agreed day, but the rep had no idea where the artists were. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Let’s share views about this website.

BandManagementUniversal I got rude and unpleasant reply

I recently found one band on the website www.bandmanagementuniversal.com. I wanted to download their songs from the website, but it showed error all the time. I was really upset and sent two messages to the support team. I asked if they could help me, but the reply was rude and the rep from this website used a lot of swear words. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Let’s share views about this website.

This is not even true, I am one of the artists that signed with Band Management Company and this is not right! All of the complaints against the company is just part of envious plots of people that doesn't know or even realize what they are doing, it is indeed just for money. They are just trying to make money using this false comments on businesses and its not really good. I hope that this website could do something about this.

BandManagementUniversal unprofessional staff

My friend hired the company www.bandmanagementuniversal.com. My friend wanted to make the photo shoots with them, so he made the appointment and paid half sum in advance, but these jerks didn’t send the professional photographer. They provided freelancer, who wasn’t good at photo shoots and had no idea what to do. They are real scammers and unprofessional, so better avoid them, ‘coz they don’t return money back. As well as post comments about your things with them.

Since I signed with band management universal they have been 110% professional in all my dealings with them and have helped and supported me financially, musically and personally. I think the problem with some artists’/musicians is that on signing to a management company or getting a record deal is they immediately think they are u2, kings of leon or jimi hendrix and should be treated a different way! when as a matter of fact you are not.

It is hard work being an artist/musician and like every job in the world you have to start at the bottom and work your way to the top! you have to play the rubbish bars, clubs and venues…you have to do interviews with journalists and magazines even if you don’t like them but if only to get your name out there so that people get to hear your music because that is what it is all about if you forgot …………. music!

It is about the song, melody, words and how it makes you feel…it is about music! so to that end musicians should deal with the music and let the manager deal with the business. of course you should have an input on everything in the dealings with your management company but you should trust and be loyal to them as much as they should do the same to you.

Maybe one day when you reach the dizzy heights of stardom then you can start asking for specific photographers, producers and directors for videos but until then you’re on a budget and as long as you get the quality product then maybe you will have to deal with that photographer that was provided once in a while because your management company think they are good unless they wouldn’t have let he or she do the shoot right?

Bottom line is band management universal are decent, credible and great company who look out for the artists on every level and should not be subjected to dis-hearted bands/solo artists who think they are the be all and end all when at the end of the day it is a team effort when trying to get your music out there, example: - musician and management working together not the musician slagging the management company off! when you should be professional and sort you differences out behind closed doors, not on an internet forum!

BandManagementUniversal they do nothing, but want to get money from you

I work in company, which recently hired the staff from the company www.bandmanagementuniversal.com. These jerks turned to be total scammers, ‘coz they did nothing at all, but they asked for money and diddle-daddle. When my boss understood that they fooled him, he started to threaten them, and these jerks vanished somewhere. Impossible to get money back, so be aware and avoid these jerks. Or you will simply lose money and time.
