Worthington Locksmith / Scam and cheating

Worthington Locksmith failed to show up with adequate supplies to install our front door lock. After a partial installation, they failed to show up for weeks, despite multiple calls made to them -- each time they make an excuse, promised to show up and fail to do so. Our mistake was paying for the work before it was entirely completed. They don't take credit cards, so watch out -- don't pay in full! Better yet - don't use them at all. They act polite as they lie about coming to complete their work. They also tried to make off with nearly new door handles we were having replaced. I had to call them and ask them to return our property.

    I AM ONE OF THE OWNERS OF WORTHINGTON LOCKSMITH WE HAVE BEEN IN BUSSINESS SINCE 95 AND IF YOU TAKE THE TIME TO LOOK AROUND THIS IS THE ONLY NEGATIVE COMPLAINT YOU WILL FIND IS THIS ONE .WHAT MRS .NOVAK IS FORGETING TO SAY IS THAT HER FRONT DOOR LOCK WAS A SPECIAL ORDER LOCKSET AND YES WE DO REQUIRE PAYMENT IN ADVANCE FOR SUCH PRODUCTS BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN STUCK MANY TIMES ORDERING FOR CUSTOMERS WHO CHANGE THERE MIND AND THEN I HAVE A PIECE OF EXPENSIVE HARDWARE I WILL BE HOLDIN FOREVER . AS FAR AS TAKIN HER HARDWARE YES WE DID AS IN MOST CASES PEOPLE DO NOT WANT THE OLD STUFF AND WE STRIP IT DOWN FOR PARTS TO REPAIR OTHER PEOPLES HARDWARE . ONCE MRS .NOVAK CALLED WE PROMPTLY RETURNED HER HARDWARE LIKE SHE REQUESTED.WHAT WE TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO HER AND HER HUSBAND WAS THAT DEALIN WITH THE COMPANY EMTEK WHICH WAS THE HARDWARE SHE WANTED IS NOT A VERY FAST PROCESS AND THEY WERE FINE WITH THAT .THE WHOLE PROBLEM REALLY STARTED WHEN HER HUSBAND FOUND A WEB SITE THAT SOLD EMTEK PRODUCTS ILLEGALLY AS EMTEK IS A LOCKSMITH DEALER ONLY SO YES YOU COULD HAVE GOT THE PRODUCT WITH NO LIFE TIME WARRANTY BUT TO TRY TO MAKE THEM HAPPY WE EVEN MATCHED THAT WEB SITES PRICE .IN CLOSING I BELIEVE BEIN IN BUSSINESS OVER 13 YEARS THAT OCCASIONALLY THERE IS A CUSTOMER NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY YOU JUST CAN'T SATISFY .I AM SORRY THEY FEEL THIS WAY BUT I HAVE BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO TRY AND MAKE THEM HAPPY, THERE RESOLUTION WAS THEY KEPT ALL THE HARDWARE WE INSTALLED AND REFUNDED THERE MONEY SORRY I TOOK A LOSS ALLREADY I AM CONFIDENT I TRIED TO DO EVERYTHING WE COULD THANK YOU WORTHINGTON LOCKSMITH
