World of Warcraft Disreputable services being cheated

A inability to complete achievement goals as goal counter goes backward. I have visual evidence. A simple goal has taken 5 years and is not achievable. I have attached 2 images the first is from the beginning of this year, the second is dated today. As you can see the counters have gone backward. My actual last count should be 2, 582 is where I left off. This is a scam to keep you playing and paying. A totally dishonest practice. Never mind all the verbal abuse and harassment you get from supposedly random players that watch Your character. So who watches players, I am thinking blizzard employees. I an ordinary person doesn't really care what anyone else does or have the time to observe.

i just found this post and it seems fishy. if this is true then more should be seeing this error if we did the same quests. but i looked at the pictures and i noticed some discrepancies. there is a slight change in the textures which means these were faked. sorry to say but if you are telling the truth then you should tell blizzard ent through the help bug report.

World of Warcraft Banned Account

Read below. Banned without an idea as to what I did wrong. Top enhancement shaman on my server [protected]@Ravenholdt

I'm not sure what I've been banned for.. but I was in the middle of an instance and was kicked right now while tanking. This is my primary auction house character that I buy and sell using the remote auction house.. not sure if that has anything to do with it or what.

It's also kind of weird that I just paid a few hours ago on an annual pass and now I'm banned.. if it is what it is and I've done something wrong then I suppose that you'll be refunding me my money? Am I obligated to this contract on an annual pass? Is the promised diablo 3 now gone?

thanks

I played WOW for 2.5 years but when I moved from Texas to Georgia, I could not access my account. When I called Blizzard, they said my son would have to call so he did. After 3 months of trying to get my account back, I stopped playing. This is a rip off - even though I had payed for the upgrades through Cataclysm they wanted me to start all over again. Not a chance!

First off WoW is indeed addictive, but Blizzard themselves have even posted things in game telling people to go outside and hang with their friends. Kids are the way they are now not because of games, but because they're spoiled. It's the parents that need to get a clue.

As for the complaint: Make an alt character and play it for awhile. If you go back to your old toon and he's still harassing open up a harassment ticket. That's what they're there for.

World of Warcraft Hacking and in game theives. Plz read very important

My account was resently hacked and Blizzard basically said it was my fault and that it was my computer that was hacked not anything on their end. I'm a computer programmer, Due to my job it is very protected. For Blizzard to take zero fault in that is unexceptable they have my credit card info and all my personal info. Now I am worried this hacker has it and is using it and the only way for me to know if it is, is to get a credit report which damages my credit everytime I request one. Also within the same week an in game theive stole things from me and when I asked what would happen to the other persons account will it be banned or anything so it wouldn't happen again to someone else I got we will look into it which basically means nothing. I also asked will I be informed of any action taken against this person. I didn't ask the persons name or where they live. I just wanted to know if something was done and I got due to personal information we can not. I didn't want to know any personal info. All I wanted to know was, was it taken care of, and they won't even do that. I am finished with Blizzard, they shut down accounts if you don't pay but we are paying them to help us when we have issues and they do nothing and when people start getting loud with them over the phone they hang up. After you waitied 30 minutes for them to even pick up. Beware of giving credit card info to them and personal information it isnt safe with them.

It happened to me. My account got hacked and NOBODY has my password and it wasn't written down anywhere so it must have been Blizzard that "gave" it to them. I started receiving emails from some Chinese site (I looked them up) pretending to be Blizzard and trying to get me to log on with their link but I ignored them. Next thing I know I'm locked out of my account and Blizzard is accusing me of trying to sell of my toons. I got them to restore my account but I didn't check my "secondary email" which the hacker had changed. So a month later they hacked me again and this time I COULD NOT recover it through Blizzard. With no way to get Blizzard to talk to me, I had to cancel the payment though my credit card to close my account.
Adios Blizzard. After 8 years of play, thanks for all the frustration. I will never play one of your games again.

lol...sounds to me like your son unknowingly opened spam mail from people who aren't blizzard. Then they got into your computer and basically hacked it inside and out and stole a lot of your personal info. Thats why your card was charged so much, it wasn't blizzard. They never ever do that. Blizzard wouldn't run a scam on its own game...they are trying to combat spammers, not be spammers. and to the guy who's acct got closed...There is no way that the hacker can get your card info thru your acct info. most people's accts get hacked thru facebook or email now...they find out your facebook login...then they ask your friends for hints...etc or you open a spam email that looks like offical blizz. email but its not...you can tell by the terrible grammar and misspelling all throughout the message. so truly you need to be able to tell fake from real in this situation and its not idiot proof either.

I totally agree with you regarding this scam they are running. They sent my son over 250 emails in 3 days accusing him (he's 13) of hacking and third party use. I called the number they gave only for them to say they were too busy to talk to me and for me to send an email and then hung up. I emailed them but I have the feeling if these people are too stupid to talk to you on the phone there odds of being able to read is nil to none. My son has not used this account since Sept. 2009 because he hasn't a computer since then. They even continue to charge our bank accounts that we have had to cancel 4 debit cards already because they someone continue to find out the new debit card numbers. People need to stay as far away as possible from these [censor]s.

BE WARNED! Crafting on your own in WoW is next to impossible without the usage of the Auction House (AH), which has been horribly corrupted by private businesses. World of Warcraft I've lost my boyfriend to WoW

Seriously, is there a WoW Players Anonymous?

My boyfriend lives in Sweden and I live in USA. That's not really the problem. See, he bought me WoW as a gift, so that we can play together. He's played for about 5 yrs and I just started July '09. Since he didn't have a level 80 yet, he had fun starting a druid with me. His paladin was only about 62 at the time. Now after so many months, he's leveled his paladin to 80. And our druids are only about 54. But he's very bored with the druids now that he's an 80.

I don't play with him much anymore :( He is very addicted to his paladin and trying to score nice gear. I can't join him though. So that's the problem. WoW has stolen my boyfriend!

I'm very upset with this highly addictive game. I hope it hasn't destroyed marriages, or taken daddies out of their kids' lives! What about throwing that ball to your kid outside? What about reading a book to them? Etc.

Wow must put a time limit of some sort on these addicts! I myself sometimes can't stop playing. HELP!

~Lonely and bored.

Haha!
I enjoyed reading your comments 2 years later! I can't believe it's been that long. He's long gone now, we broke up a year ago. It hurt pretty bad. Good thing he's across the world from me 'cuz I know I'll never run into him. :) By the time we ended it, he was a full blown anti-religion fanatic and I got so sick of his talks and posts he never had time for me. He's still in his wow guild called "Stone Dogs". That's their social life, ROFL! I'm now dating a man who is not addicted to gaming, likes to drink, likes me no matter how bad my mood is, never yelled at me (never yelled back, lol), isn't not finishing writing a book, doesn't smoke, is much more handsome :D and exactly what I want. Biggest plus of all... he lives a mile away! And we grew up with a lot of the same people in town. He loves me, too :D

Ps. He didn't play for those 5 years I mentioned, that's what I meant. He only played for a year, then off 5 yrs.

WoW F*CKING KILLED MY RELATIONSHIP WITH MY SOUL MATE.

Thank goodness we can find a new one :)

Hahaha it's true I agree with pi$$ed off consumer, He should log out delete his toon and account, throw away his computer, and take up reading or something similar to that, start it simple like the beano or Gruffalo or something! If he don't have any level 80's after 5 years he must be a little bit dim, my little brother (who's 12 btw) has 3 level 80's and he's only been playing 1 year. Better still get a new boyfriend, he sounds like a lost cause.

wow your boyfriend played wow for 5 years and doesn't have a lvl 80? Maybe he shouldn't play that game, because most people who have played wow that long have like 5-6 lvl 80's...but its not very hard to get to lvl 80 now because blizz made it so so super ez...I'm a girl who's boyfriend got her into wow as well, so I know where your coming from, I've played for 5 years too but I have 3 lvl 80's and 2 lvl 70's and a lot of other characters...Maybe just tell your boyfriend to stop playing wow because he sucks at it? Cause he should have made it to the highest point in the game after 5 years of playing...It can't be that hard

Did this ever get resolved? Cuz all I can say is... you were 54, only a few levels to 58, which gets you to Outlands, and you can blow through those quests in like 3 days. Then Northrend is super easy, too. Plus you're a druid, those are easy to level. Then you can set up nights to raid together, how romantic :P

I must be bored at work today.

World of Warcraft Bad Service

For all the people thinking of starting World of Warcraft let me let you in on a little secret. They are down alot for maintaince that they do not give credit or free time you players. You will spend Hours on the phone trying to get problems fixed due to hight calls there lines are busy and you are not being able you play the game. Once again they will not give any discount. So before you get to high and envolved in the game and they have you by the balls try some other online game with xbox. Also all the patch work that has to go into this game is something i wish i know longer had on my computer.

World of Warcraft can't play the game due to all the patches

I tried the 10 day free trial and loved it, so I bought the full version. It is nothing like the trial. It takes forever to load, I haven't even played the game yet and it's been a day of downloading patches for this and that. It's very misleading! How can 10 million players be playing if they're always downloading patches, unless of course they are addicted to this game like a drug. I should just give up. By the way this is the second time I've downloaded the game. The first time I got fed up and called for a refund, which I did not get a full refund, only a cancellation. Holy Crap! Can't they come out with a 'lite' version like the trial? That's more fun than waiting for patches to download all the freakin time!

The first time I downloaded the game, I also had to wait for about half a day to get all the patches downloaded. But understand, it IS a multiplayer game with over 10 million people spanning dozens of servers. Every time additional content is needed or an error needs fixed, Blizzard can't send out software to each and every subscriber and let them fix the issues at their leisure. Most people would never update the information themselves, the problems would still persist, and the game would(ultimately) fall apart. When a person first installs world of warcraft(on any computer) you have to catch up w/ the rest of the players(patch wise) and download everything that the subscribers download AS they come out. I assure you, AFTER that initial download, its(more or less:) smooth sailing. Patches are weeks, if not months in between and is actual a great benefit because they are able to add more ingame content(without paying for more, unlike xbox live) and they're able to get all of their subscribers updates as soon as they log into the service. World of warcraft is such a large game, that any other method of updating the game for the players would be an IT nightmare... Not to mention a customer service nightmare, a sales and marketing nightmare, etc. Now, as far as the game being different from the free trial: It is, actually you're able to do so much more than what's allowed with the free trial, including chat, guild organization, trade, and a multitude of other cool little perks and benefits that just aren't available until the full version is purchased. Now, before you wonder if I'm a salesman, secret advocating for Blizzard, I'll admit I have my problems with the service from time to time myself. The game is beautifully rendered, but can eat a lot of your computers processing power if you're using an onboard graphics card(which some people have to. Not everyone can afford to have an Uber gaming computer... But that doesn't mean people don't enjoy gaming like we had one;). I HATE Tuesday 'Server Down' days. Every Tuesday, from around 6am(Pst) to 11am(Pst) World of Warcraft USUALLY shuts down for maintenence. My big complaint is why can't they do this once a month, or twice a month... But once a week?

Other great boons t0 the service include being able to log into your account from anyone's computer that has world of warcraft installed(providing you don't have more expansions than they do), I've had to talk to customer service a small handful of times and have always had excellent, understandable customer service. My account was hacked and i was locked out for two days, but the folks at Blizzard helped me get back in the game, and even got me everything I had lost due to these "hacker/farmers" that steal your account for no other reason than to farm as much gold as possible to sell on the internet(pathetic in a whole new way).

Over all, if you're a gamer and you want a game that's excellent for unlimited adventure and has a great interactive community, then give WOW another try. Just be patient through the downloading, make sure your computer has the requirements they need(on a side note, if you do experience lag issues, then go into your video menu ingame and lower your settings, even at lower settings, WOW is a beautiful game), and give it another shot. I think(hope) that you'll see why it is that 10 million+ people DO play the game.

If you are just now starting World of Warcraft, then perhaps you should go buy the game itself, plus its additional expansions. This won't stop your patches, but it'll cut down the time by alot, as the patches for all of BC are included in the Wrath expansion installation CDs.

Well, if you knew anything about On Line gaming, in particular WOW, you would know that it is ONLINE only and has been out for a while now. If you don't have Broadband stay away from it and if your broadband is that slow you should get rid of it..LOL.
This game does have a lot of patches, plus the expansion packs. I can't think of a single on line game including the free ones I play that don't have a bunch of patches to them and even expansion packs, So I recommend you come back later when you have gained some knowledge of computers and on-line games.

I have been playing WOW for 4 years... The only time I ever had a charge of 1.00$ is when I had insufficient funds! and as soon as I moved money over on my debit card, those charges were removed! Your bank probably told you that when you complained about it to them also! Blizzard Inc is incredible, customer service is outstanding, In game help is also outstanding, and their security is top notch!

Sorry that you had such a problem with your account, but it is not Blizzards fault.

World of Warcraft Trial Account Upgrade Failure

I upgraded my World of Warcraft trial account, played it for 2 days, then sat down to play it again on Sunday. I logged into my account only to be told that my account had been suspended. It referred me to an email. I opened the email, and it said there was some problem processing my upgrade. They gave me a number to call - and of course, nobody is working on Sunday. They also LOCKED ME OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. I cannot even look to see if there was something wrong with my credit card entry. I cannot see anything about my account. There is nothing wrong with my bank account, but instead of saying the payment was rejected or something which would allow me to fix it, I get locked out and am given a worthless phone number to nowhere. How about giving me the benefit of the doubt until Monday? It's just wrong to have this kind of response with no data. Their customers might just be able to resolve whatever it is if they could. Locking access to all account details is disturbingly heavy handed. I guess i'll just sit have to wait to call at some time during the week. How ridiculous. Isn't it funny that they can cancel and suspend an account, on the same day that there's nobody there to answer calls as to why. Yeah, I smell a rat.

World of Warcraft Game cards, are the size of Bank Cards, and people are choosing to put them in boxes, approximately the size of Kraft Dinner Boxes. People are beginning to complain about how people are killing the trees, and here, they are putting small cards, in boxes Over 5x the size of the game cards. There are enough trees getting killed throughout our world, for people's own selfishness ! And this just proves my point even more. I think, that WoW people should just hand out the cards, and not waste the trees that keep us, humans, and animals alive. Without trees producing Carbon Dioxide, We would not be alive, to make the dumb boxes to carry the Pre-Paid Game Cards. ! And to conclude my reasoning, I still think, that people who produce the cards should just hand them out as cards, or Even on a receipt like they do with Phone Cards most of the time. :)
(looking at the photo i have posted to go along with this ...Complaint, The card on the front, Is the exact size of the card inside of the box. )

I have been playing World of Warcraft for about a year now and wanted to make sure everyone who considers buying the game is fully informed. If you choose to play, then you have to choose a server to play on. You should expect that your server, just like everyone else's, will be down for maintenance at least one day per week. Additionally, you should expect significant delays in the late afternoon and evenings logging on to the game and in accessing the more popular portions of the game once you have logged on. In fact, some evenings you may not be able access the most popular portions of the game at all. The unfortunate bottom line is that Blizzard does not allocate sufficient resources to ensure smooth consistent game play and these problem are only getting worse as time goes on.

Drew a line in the sand and said enough is enough today. After 4 years, I have canceled my WoW account.

No longer able to enter Dalaran without my PC crashing due to video issues, and "patch" 3.3 at 680Mb, I am no longer willing to accept the hardware requirements needed to play this game.

I suggest Blizzard create realms that are either level 60 or level 70 capped. If not capped, and forced to play on level 80 realms with level 60 / 70 characters, every day will be a gank-fest.

So, I am taking my $360 (two accoutns) and will be looking to spend my money elsewhere.

I bought a trial CD and once I had installed it it kept wanting me to restart installing it.
Plus I had paid good money for this trial and I hope blizzard get my complaint and do something about this such as give me a refund or anything else that would satisfy me.

This game is a ###ing disgrace. i have played it sinfce release and overt that time have managed to complete the majority of there end game content. i used to play heavily but over the past years [ since wrath ] have eased of on my gaming time as i have rl concerns. my friends tho continue to play to there hearts content having no job / career. now. i have finnished work at 6pm ... come home. changed not even had time for dinner then went out to the pub with friends to watch the spain portugal game. after the game. much to the annoyance of my friends [ my gf is already pissed off becuse of this ] i have come home to play wow a bit since i rarelty have any time and i want tosee the end game content off ToC and ICC which after a 8 month break i havent seen. i come home. sit down and get told the server dis going to be down for at least 12 hours. so let me sum this up. m8s think im pathetic. one time this month i have time to play this game I PAY FOR! and im restriced from playting it. this is at 11pm gmt. so its not as if its in the wee small hours. surely this ### upgrade should be carried out when people ... i mean REAL people are at work or school and while the slacker mass's are sleepiung rather then when you people who keep the world going and actually have comitments outside wow aer finding the odd hour to play in the elitest world blizzard have constructed.
for the record i have 7 lvl 70+ alliance and 3 lvl 70 + hord. i have played this game from release and atm am questioning why. my words of advice is that this game is heavily adictive [ look at the anger shown in this post to see the pasion ] it is unlikely i will get another chanvce to play this game for over 2 hgours ahgain this month and for that i feel cheated as i pay £9 a month to play so when blizard decide to remove a server from population so they can ### about with it i feel as if i have someone taking a ### on my face.

anyoen who doesnt already play wow and is considering it. DO NOT PLAY WOW! BLIZZARD IS A VIRUS WHO WILL EXPLOIT YOU AS MUCH ADS THEY CAN!

i am disgusted with myslef for playtign for so long.
i felt the need to rant. this is less a complaint that violence spilling to the surface while sitting at a keyboard.

many thanks for reading through this extended herecy.

Having played WOW for many years and having problems with some of the patches, I finally hit a major flaw with a patch. Blizzard said I had been hacked and wanted every single bit of identity proof I could supply before they would even think about reinstating my account which they stopped. I told them things no hacker could possible know and still they would not reinstate me and were very rude and so I told them to delete all information they had on me as I didnt trust their security. They told me that my information would be taken to a shedder. I told them destroy all ! I never wanted anything to do with them again ! A week later they emailed me again offering me my account back. How rude they are and how insular. Please do NOT buy the game as it is not worth the effort, they couldnt care less about their customers. If anyone wants any more details I will provide it.

Well I've been downloading updates for 2 days now after just installing this game. I finish the 1st download, go to play the game but there's another update to install, which took 17 hours. After that had finished I thought that must be it, I can now play this god forsaken game; but no! There is yet another download to install which is going to take another 17 hours to install. It seems to me like this is never going to end. I have uninstalled the game and thrown it in the bin. I have wasted allot of time trying to play this game, and from what I hear it really isn't worth the wait. Anyone still waiting for updates now, seriously, just get rid of this game. You are wasting your time. Blizzard are full of inconvenience and I will never be buying any of their titles again.
