World Financial Group [WFG] review: scam interview 12

Thank God for your comments and this site. I was recruited off careerbuilder.com. But I was smart enough to look the company up on the Internet. No sense wasting my time on some scam. Thank you again!

Same happened to me here in Colorado. Except with a twist. I have my own small business and they called me to say they needed graphic design work done asap. Didn't originally use the companies real name. When I got there they said oh, we actually have no budget to hire you for graphic design work and tried to get me to come to a sales presentation for insurance. Multiple layers of sleeze at play. Originally pretended to be calling on behalf of a homeless charity. Lied straight to my face. These people are crooks plain and simple. Who on gods name would buy insurance like that? sit through a coerced meeting? not on your life. Crooks and crooks.

I am not quite sure of this company. However, I will agree that it works very much like a pyramid scheme. Money is asked for upfront and recruiting is suspiciously emphasized by current members. Also, there is a lot of emphasis on the "dream" of financial success-pumping this notion at every opportunity. Any decent student of Marx understands that Capitalism breeds inequality rather than eliminating it. Historically, people make money and acquire wealth by exploitative practices. There is no such thing as sharing of wealth. This is a dialectical contradiction. You don't acquire wealth unless you take from someone else. On a side note, I never knew that Jesus was a Capitalist.

Thank God we all have the ability and freedom to make choices for ourselves and live out our dreams. The difference between success and failure is just this, there is a motivating factor within one to drive them to succeed. What does that mean? Simply it takes ACTION... If you are intimidated by hard work and commitment, then you as in anything else will continue to fail. Do not condemn people for having the strength to believe in their dreams. We all have to ability to succeed in whatever we strive for. If you are content punching in on someone elses timeclock, building someone else's business, or in fact spending countless hours away from your family and loved ones that is your choice. But do not condemn and label those who are willing to do something different, cult followers, delusional and brainwashed. You are the ones that are brainwashed, if you believe that in this economy anyone has a fair chance of retirement with a company that you slave for 30+ years or more building someone else"s dream. The chance of a pension or 401k that will provide enough financial security with the cost of living as it is now come on, you see with that mentality and mindset you are just the type of people that will end up greeting folks at Walmart in your later years. With the market crash and total devastation to most of the accumulated stock earnings in most baby boomers porfolio's. Wake up there is no guarantee that social security will be available for any of us. Statistics are proving that theory right now in 2010. Seems to me all you can do is sit around and blame and criticize those who are trying to better their lives with a dream. If one chooses to change their belief and make a decision to believe in him or herself, and assist others along the way by encouraging them to choose to do something different who are you to judge them. There is freedom in knowing that you have the choice to be successful in anything that you desire. But first you must believe in yourself...Theres a big difference between people who judge, and those who step out and make things happen and believe in themselves. Im sure you know that saying "Winners never quit and Quitters never Win"...So I would suggest before you decide to criticize publically another human being, company or group, that is enabling people to live their dreams. See if you can focus on trying to figure out whats keeping you from achieving yours...

My complaint isn't about paying for licensing, I understand that in a regulated industry, you must get licensed. My complaint is on WFG's hidden costs, costs they never tell you about like the courses you thought was free but isn't and the time delays from getting paid. WFG as a whole is incompetent for recruiting people who are incompetent in the first place. They are psycho focus on recruiting, recruiting, and more recruiting because to them, quantity is more important than quality. Enough said. I have never said WFG is a scam. It's more unethical than a scam. Get your facts straight!

The thing is every time you go into a profession that is regulated you always have to pay licensing and testing fees! No matter what you do, real estate, nursing, mortgage broking, anything you have licensing fees as well as education fees. Just because you are working for a branch that happens to not pay you because they are lazy and not doing their job doesn't mean the entire whole of WFG is bad. You are just working for an incompetent person. This happens in real estate, nursing and every other profession out there. So before you go off saying it is a scam get your facts straight. It is a positive that WFG is regulated and to be regulated in any profession you have to get licensed this is a given!

They are liars! I joined one of WFG branch offices in Colorado. They never mention that you had to take the anti-money laundering course and pay it yourself in order to get paid. Paying $400 + dollars on your life license and course work isn't enough. I gave them a business lead and written business but have not got paid. It's been a month since I written business. I asked why and they said my paperwork hasn't been processed yet. I paid them a $100 administrative fee on my first week and they have not done their work three months later. WFG is more than happy to take your money but when it comes to their part of the bargain, the fail miserably. [censor] WFG.

I was suckered into this myself. It is a scam! They want you to lie to your friends and family and get them to come to an "open house" that is really a trap to get new recruits. No one is actually a financial adviser. They just teach you how to lie and push products on people you love.

Well let me just add to you ridiculous comments, just because you guys did not make it in the company that does not mean you have the right to go on line and post ridiculous comments. It obvious that by now you guys are probably working at a job you guys probably cannot even stand. WFG helps every one saved money for their retirement something probably you guys do not understand. That’s why you guys are in the position right now probably broke with nothing else to do. Talk bad about a company that can change your life. But what I find funny that all of you people who are talking bad about this company do not know how it can indeed change someone life. I am glad that I am in a position where I do not listen to people like you. WFG has changed my life! I know while you guys are talking bad about this company I will be enjoying it. Negative mentality will get nowhere …..HATERS! HAHA

They sell you a dream but it is a scam that will only benefit the people on top. Don't be a sucker.

WFG prey on people that are unemployed and take advantage of them. Once you join them, you also have to purchase life insurance from them. They say it is not required but they will pressure you soon after you join this multi level marketing company
