Workout Anytime Owner/staff membership

I took my letter from my pcp on letterhead to discontinue my membership to the location and was told the owner would soon get in touch with me. I set up a date and time due to work schedule to met the owner, long story short I was greeted by the owners wife (whom I had no clue was such) who did not know anything about me stopping by but insisted I tell her my reasonings which I did. After getting nothing accomplished I proceeded to leave the building I briefly spoke with the GM on the owners wife’s phone, he stated the owner would be in touch with me. Not even 20 minutes leaving the gym I received multiple text messages from the owners cell phone some threatening and some messages of complete lies. So hear I am in dire need to speak with someone from corporate or anyone above the owner of the company I attended.

Workout Anytime Freezing membership due to increase of hours at work.

Jan 2,2023 I talked to the local club & asked about freezing my membership due to increase of hours at work . They was supposed to check & see what they could do & call me back in 2-3 days . I waited 2 weeks & called them back twice. Second time talked to someone supposedly from regional & they were sorta rude & said there wasn't anything they could do about it. Not even trying to help me anyway.

Desired outcome: 3 months of membership at no charge to me & an apology would be nice.

Workout Anytime Repairs

First, it is a damn shame that the corporate headquarters for workout anytime does not have their own social media. Local gyms having their own social media simply does not cut it. Second, the sumter, sc location really needs some roof repairs. Every time it rains they have to place trash cans all over the place to catch water. Please tend to this location. Plus one of the duct work had smoke coming out of the air vents.

You do not have permission to release my name to anybody nor a copy of this email.

Desired outcome: Please repair the roof and ventilation systems at the Sumter, SC location.

Workout Anytime Refund/customer service

I signed up for 3 months of personal training, I completed and paid for the 3 months in full. At the end of those 3 months I told my trainer that I did not wish to continue with the personal training and would now use what I learned to come to the gym on my own. She confirmed and that is what I did. 2 months later I noticed I was charged for 2 more months of PT Services which I did not want or receive. When I notified my gym they refunded one. I have now been in the process for MONTHS of getting the other month refunded and they just keep saying they are working on it but nothing is happening. They have my account info. They can deposit it back in like they did the other. I have also told them mailing a check is fine. It is $480. At this point I am about to file a claim with BBB and light up social media with reviews if I can't get this resolved. And I hate that because other than this issue I've had no problems but this is ongoing and ongoing and no one is taking care of it. This has been going on since June 2022 and it is now 9/27/22. This is unacceptable. My gym is in Lancaster, SC.

Desired outcome: I want my refund asap as promised to me.

Workout Anytime Membership discontinuation

They make it impossible to dc your membership! Im on month 5! Now I have no other choice but to cancel my credit card! Their phone number is not even valid, in store they send you away, online they say the cannot find the member agreement, but they sure find my card to charge every month! The worst! Do not go! Ive been courteous, polite, calm, let them continue to eat my money. I cannot continue to be complacent. The very young people at the desk are incredibly unhelpful and this is not a gym I would ever go to again.

Desired outcome: refund! cancel my membership for GODS SAKE

Workout Anytime Management - contract issue

I joined Workout Anytime in September 2019. I added my husband in November 2019.

I called yesterday, 10/26/2020 to cancel services because my husband is working out of town for a few months.

When I joined in September 2019, I discussed the payment plan with the individual at the desk. Never once was it mentioned to me that it would be a year long contract. If they did I would not have joined because my husband works out of town alot. I left one workout facility to join Workout Anytime because of being able to workout 24/7. I was able to pay every three months at the facility. They asked me to sign the "black pad" which connects to their data base on the amount we agreed upon to come out of my checking account. Again, never did they explain to me about a contract. Further more, if it was a contract I should have been given a copy of the contract. I was never given anything. Then when I call to cancel services since my husband is working out of town I am told I'm under contract and services will be charged until 12/31/2020. First of all, if it's a year contract it should have ended when I joined in September 2019. I joined Workout Anytime in September 2019 as an individual, so I have not been under a contract at that time? Again, never did me or my husband have the knowledge there was a contract. When I joined initially, a friend of mine went with me and I asked her if a contract was ever mention? Nor she or my husband said a contract was mentioned.

The Dayton Workout Anytime has different college students and management it seems quite frequently. They need to train their staff/management better. I don't see how the contract can stand when it is not discussed or a copy given to their clientele. If someone is signing a contract they deserve something in paper form informing them about the information on the contract.

I had looked forward to joining Workout Anytime when we got back in town. I know we can use any facility across America but when my husband works there is no local Workout Anytime facility. I will not recommend nor promote Workout Anytime to any of my friends/facebook friends/contacts and will share their unprofessionalism in the Dayton facility.

I feel I should not be charged for November nor December 2020 since I initially joined in September 2019. If there was a contract it should have ended in September 2020. They forward me a contract showing my husbands signature in November 2019. That is when I added him to my membership. Again, we only signed the "black pad" never was there anything discussed about a contract. I am the original "head member" and I added him in November 2019 when he was transferred closer to home to work. Again, I joined in September 2019 and was the authorizing member so why did not get informed about a contract?

I really feel the Dayton facility needs better management and knowledge given to their clientele when they join. If there are contracts then each member deserves a paper form to know what they are signing. Again, I never received anything in paper in the form of a contract.

Attached is a copy of the contract we signed without knowledge it was a contract because we felt we were signing to have the fees taken out of our checking account. Again, my original date in joining was September 2019.

Workout Anytime Membership cancellation

I've requested to cancel my membership to the Durant Oklahoma location. I contacted this location to eliminate my membership but the Management refused to cancel the membership unless I come to the location to sign a form. I told them I've moved and I can not come there to sign the form so the insisted I provide proof that I moved before they cancel my membership. I dont agree with providing my current address which is personal and irrelevant to cancelling this membership. I was told that when I wanted to cancel my membership I just needed to let them know, I reminded them of this statement and requested they scan the printed form and email me the form and I'll sign it and return to them but they refuse to email me the form. I want this membership canceled and no further charges to my account. I've been a loyal member and paid all my due, this should be the way you treat your customers.

Workout Anytime Unprofessional behavior

My name is nicole fiessinger and on 3/19/2018 I went in to the glasgow ky workout anytime to cancel my membership as I had been a member for over a year and was just recently diagnosed with breast cancer and am currently going through chemo. I was approached by tammy and she asked how she could help me. I explained to her that I had called back in februrary to let her know that I would have to come in and cancel my membership due to my illness. whom ever I spoke to then told me that I could come in whenever I could as I told them it might be hard for me as I have been sick from chemo. While standing there with my husband she proceeded to speak with other members as they walked by but decided not to acknowledge myself when she found out I wanted to cancel. she took out a paper started to fill it out and told me that I would have to pay for another month since I did not give a 30 day notice. I proceeded to explain that I had called but was very hard for me to get in to cancel due to dr apts and being sick. She got very aggravated with me and slammed the paper down in front of me and told me to sign. I was so upset. She NEVER showed any empathy, compassion, nothing at all. She tried not to even look at me. When I went in there to join over a year ago they were very nice and friendly. It almost made me feel like I was a nuisance to her or just insignificant just because I had to cancel my membership. As you may know being diagnosed with cancer and getting chemo treatments is very expensive so im having to save every dime I have at them moment. I am just so disgusted as to how I was treated by her I would like something done. I paid for over a year to this club and then I have something life changing happen to me and I get nothing but a terrible crappy attitude. this women should NOT work with people especially if she is going to treat them like this. please address this issue. thank you.

Workout Anytime Personal training

When I signed up for my membership they did a free consultation for personal training sessions. I told the personal trainer at the chastain meadows location that I was not sure I could do it but I would try it out. i agreed to one training session a month for $45. When I signed everything with her she told me if I ended up not being able to afford it that she would cancel it. Well 2 months into it I let her know that I was not able to afford it and she told me that I signed a 12 month contract and I HAD TO PAY FOR IT. Well I continued to tell them that I just couldn't keep paying for it and I complained to the manager. Well the manager called Virginia (the trainer) an she then lied to the manager and told her that she said all I have to do is mail in a letter to cancel the personal training sessions. She NEVER once told me that. So after not being able to pay it and racking up a debt of $100 she tells me about being able to mail in a letter. So now I have to at least give them some sort of money. When I asked to cancel the first time I was up to date on my payments. She also made the remark that if i quit smoking that maybe I would be able to afford my training sessions and that was so rude and disrespectful. She lied to me and then insulted me in front of other employees by saying that. So now I have to pay them $155 just so I can cancel the sessions that they are still charging me for even though I have said I wanted to cancel. You can not cancel unless you are caught up. I got completely taken advantage of by this lady. So I am pretty much screwed either way. I would really like for someone to call me or email me so I can try and get this taken care of. Workout Anytime Family plan

Workout anytime just open up in homestead fl, I signed up a couple weeks ago. When I signed up I was told that there would be option to add another family members to my plan for additional fee. Today I tried to add my son (13 yrs old) and was told he has to be 16, but that I can bring him in with me for one month? Really workout anytime I really think this is wrong. I canceled my membership with planet fitness to come over here and now I can not bring my son with me. Planet fitness you could bring your guess with you or get them their own membership as long as they were 13 or older and the rule of them having to come in with a parent was still applied. The only work around to this would be getting two premium memberships for both me and my husband because I am in the military I often have to travel and would not always be here. Corporate I really think your going to loose a lot of customers to planet fitness. For 19.99 I and one guest has access to everything with no limit on visits for my guest. I will be sure to spread the work to my coworkers to ensure they don't make the same mistake. Looking to leaving you all in one year if there are no policy changes. Gym is nice and having access is a plus but I would rather go back to planet fitness where I can take my son.

Workout Anytime Unknown fee

About a week ago i received a call that my monthly membership fee was overdue. My card on file should have gone through, but they said it didn't. So I gave them all of my info again, and the man told me it worked. Then they called again saying it didn't work again. I finally just got a charge for $55 and I'm not sure why when I did nothing wrong and the company was messing something up on their end.

This gym and company is a rip off. Lots of hidden fees, bill you for everything, cancellation is impossible and gym is crap, nothing works dated equipment. DON'T SIGN UP! THEY SUCK.. Not worth $1, oh and owner or manager whatever it is - worst ever. Staff does not even know how to explain the contract along with how cancellation process works.

Workout Anytime Membership

I started a membership with 24-7 workout anytime gym in hixson, tennessee last year.in july of this year, I noticed a 48.00 fee on my bank statement from abc financial. The normal fee is 16.00 per month. I called abc financial and was told this was a yearly fee. When I started my membership, I was told I would only be charged a monthly fee and that I could cancel anytime. When I was charged the 48.00 fee in july, I called abc financial and told them to cancel my membership. They told me that nothing else would be taken from my account.in august, they charged another monthly fee of 16.00. I called abc financial again to talk to them about the fee since I cancelled the prior month. They told me I had to send a letter to cancel. I faxed a letter to abc financial and have a confirmation that it was received by them. I also cancelled my bank card so they could not take another fee. They did not reimburse the fee that was taken in august. Last week I received a letter from abc financial stating that I owed them another fee for september. I cancelled in july! They continue to bill me and have not given me my money back! I sent them an email last week, I called six times today, (Sept. 24th) because they would put me on hold and not come back, and they still refuse to cancel my membership! Abc financial is a crooked company! Do not deal with
Them in any way! I am going to report them to the better business bureau.

The same thing has happened to me in August of 2023. And when you call “Arkansas “ you speak to foreign people who you cannot understand. Asked for a supervisor and she was foreign also. Disputing this. I was not clearly told and was not given a copy of the contract at the Lynchburg, Virginia location. Very very disappointed.

Most health clubs request a cancellation notice to be sent in writing. Your agreement should indicate the kind of notice that is to be given to discontinue the service - most clubs ask for at least 30 days notice and you are responsible for any payments that arise during that time.

I am in the same situation myself. I attempted to cancel my membership to the local one in the Bearden Area because I have not been using the membership. I come visit the location in person to attempt to cancel and they advised me that I could not do that because I would need a letter. This was not as bad in the sense I figured they might need a letter from me indication my request for cancellation, but when I go down to visit the location to drop off my letter they inform me that I cannot do that due to being required to mail it in. I attempt to contact the corporate office and ask if they can put through to cancel my membership which the corporate office does not even respond to messages since through their internal message system on their website. At this point since it had taken me more than 3-4 months attempting to cancel a gym membership(which they can clearly see I have not been using in over a year) I went to cancel my card to stop payment since cancellation appears impossible. Now they have informed me they moved my account to NETCollections$ and are going to report me to the credit bureaus telling me I owe them over $200. ABC Financial/Workout Anytime are very shady groups.

Girlfriend and Niece had the same exact thing happen to them. Sent letters into the local gyms, were told they would no longer be charged, only to have another payment for the next month taken out. Girlfriend even went as far as to cancel her debit card and now is receiving threatening phone calls from ABC financial saying they are turning it over to a collection agency. Not a very professional run buisness. They definitely need to be reported to the Better Buisness Bureau.

Workout Anytime Refund and cancellation

I have been paying for membership for 3 years have not been able to use this membership in a year and 6 months .can not use my slide card to enter .some employees are creepy one employee kept calling my daughter on her phone and just harrassed her till she quit i havent been back .they took out a one time fee out of my account without notifing me first i have never had this taken out before .it caused me to go into over draft for two checks causing a $70.00 fee that i didnt have to spend to start with.they denied my refund. i want to cancel membership they will not stop the membership that was to be over after a year .agreement # is [protected] .I am demanding this be stopped immediantly .Mrs Vicki Norris

I've said this before and its worth repeating: never EVER give one of these gyms of any type either your credit card or a personal check. They are notorious for dipping into people's accounts, and also will refuse to let you cancel the membership no matter what your excuse is. They will repeatedly renew your membership without contacting you. If they refuse to do business without your account numbers, go somewhere else.

Workout Anytime Stay away

The manager of this place is a *** when there is no reason to be. Employees are *** and rude. Hand sanitizers are watered down. Tanning bed cleaner smells like listerine mouthwash. The owner is a wino and a whino and thinks mouthwash will cover her alcohol breath. She has to drink so she can seem people friendly when she obviously hates people. Hey, gotta sign more members to keep the drinking money coming in. According to another source she ran over her foot with her own vehicle. No ***. She said she was going down the road and thought she had a flat when she hit a pothole. She stopped and got out and didn't put the vehicle in park. The vehicle started rolling and she chased it down. In the process it went over her foot hurting it. Ahhhhh! Poor baby. She goes through cleaning crews like a person who has OCD that washes their hands several times a day. This place is over crowded with equipment and [censored] members. The showers aren't private. Who the *** wants to step out of a shower so anyone can see you? Sorry, I'm not an exhibitionist and I'm not a ***. I'm there to work out, not to parade around the women's locker room naked. When the place first opened they were constantly out of toilet paper and soap. Why have a restroom at all? They have gotten somewhat better.. They have toilet paper and soap now/. The place could be cleaner and you better clean the tanning beds before using them?. They don't and there is no telling what you could be laying in.. The floors in the tanning rooms are nasty too:. I'm going someplace other than this three ring circus gym;. If you like an uppity country club atmosphere and attitude, minus the clean part, then this place is for you". If not I suggest you go to another gym.
