Wiz Autos used nissan frontier

Ralph not only did the Nissan frontier that I purchased from you have rust throughout the under carriage but throughout the engine as well to the point that the manifold covers are rotting which you continuously told me passed Connecticut state inspection, as well as interior electrical issues and leaking exhaust. I understand you believe that I was given the opportunity to have a 3rd party inspect the vehicle, I am telling you I was not. I purchased the truck based on your reputation, I must have been very mistaken as you made it a point to educate me when you told me you were not required to disclose the extensive amount of rust that the vehicle has. I regret doing businesses with your company as based on your attitude that it is okay to deceive by not disclosing information is the way you run your business. When I last spoke to you, a commented that I would receive my money back in the same manner you took it. I used my credit card so you refunded me that and sent me a picture, thank you. The cashiers check was overnight-ed, I assumed that it would be overnight-ed as well. You stated I would get my money back in the same manner, clearly I am not. You were eager to get my money and believe me Sir I am equally eager to get it back, you have taught me a great life lesson Sir and it only cost me $2, 249.00 to ship the truck back and forth of which you made it very clear was my expense, you would think that at the very least you would be able to cover the expense of overnighting my money back to me. Ralph as you told me in our first conversation " I don't have to disclose everything to you" this is one of the those things you did not have to disclose, just a play on words right?Ralph, more and more disclose sounds like deceit in my interactions with you.If something had not been wrong in my dealings with you and your company you would not have been willing to refund my money after our first conversation, where you totally blew me off and said it was my fault as I did not have a 3rd party inspect the vehicle. Again Ralph that was never offered to me by Travis, which again I am sure would have cost less than than $2, 249.00, Travis your sales person assured me that the Nissan Frontier was in good condition and stated that he would have no problem buying it for himself. I know you have the truck as I have seen you have it on sight for sale already, wouldn't the right thing to do be returning me money first. I guess that is a new word "right" morally good, justified, or acceptable. Ralph I have given you every chance to make this right.Thank you again Ralph the experience has been both enlightening and educational.Oh and your check finally arrived it only took 2 weeks and guess what you did not send a cashiers check to me so I had to wait a extra 3 days, a personal check was not good enough for you but I guess your customers get what they get right.Again Sir, thank you so much to the introduction in used car sales.

Wiz Autos horrible service, scam and rip offs

On Jan 13, 2017 my fiancé and I arrived at Wiz Autos located at 250 Ferry Blvd, Stratford CT with only the intention of looking at cars. Our salesman Gabe Rios was very friendly and helpful in passing on the information he had about the car we were looking at. After discussing it and being told the final price we decided to have them finance the car with money down so we could take it home that night being they are located over 2 hrs from our home in NYS. We had the money to pay it off due to a total loss of the prior vehicle and money from the insurance company. We figured we would just pay off the loan once the paperwork was all in. Saving us from having to go back with the cash to get the car. After getting approved we moved into the office to speak to Meir Soffer. Meir was friendly and polite, however still possessing a somewhat cocky know it all attitude. He wrote up the agreement and my fiancé signed all needed paperwork. Now I should state that while this was all going on, it was after hours and everyone was in a rush to get out of there. Meir did not explain any of the paperwork and rushed her into signing most of the paperwork before I made my way to the office after her. This was her first purchase from a dealer and she had no prior experience about reading all the paperwork before signing. She simply went by his "good word" that everything she had to sign was strictly required for the purchase of the car. After everything was said and done it was well after closing hour and Gabe was kind enough to even go out in the dark and put on a piece of rubber seal that came off the rear door before we took off.

That was the only good experience we had with the whole purchase of this car...

The next day, I was looking over all the paperwork and found issues. First there was an added charge of $749 for GAP coverage. We did not know what it was and looked it up. In short, it is coverage for the loan so if you have a total loss of the vehicle while you are still paying on it. This coverage covers the amount left over after your insurance company pays out. So if you owe $10, 000 on a car and you have a total loss of it, your insurance company gives you $5, 000 this coverage would cover the remaining $5, 000. Now that is great you think. Well for one we had the cash and was paying it off once the loan was set up. So we needed no coverage. Also $749 on a $5000 raised a flag to me. After closer inspection of the GAP coverage paperwork I noticed that Meir had put in that we financed $76, 418.56. Yes that's right, $76 THOUSAND, When we actually only financed $6, 418.56. Also I found a charge listed for $189 for VIN Etching. Well after researched came to find out it's a service where they etch the VIN onto all the glass windows as a security feature. Alright that's cool, however when I looked at the car NONE of the windows had it done. I told Meir this and he asked, "Do you even know what you're looking for?" I stated yes i do, the VIN is suppose to be etched into the glass windows all the way around and it was never done.

Wiz Auto charged $250 for them to do the registration, which moves us onto the next issue we had. We had told them the night we purchased the car that we wanted to transfer the plates we had from the wrecked vehicle to the new one, they said that is no problem. They issued us a transit plate that was good through February 12, 2017. While we were waiting for them to register the vehicle my fiancé got pulled over not once but TWICE and was told that they tried to run the transit plate and it was not on file. Also they stated the registration was still in the previous owners name! So I had to contact Wiz again, because they never gave us the print out for registration for the transit plate and have them fax me it so she had something to show if she got pulled over again. They obviously did not transfer the car to themselves like they should have since it was still registered to the previous owners I would assume as well. After seeing they charged us $250 for the registration I used the DMV calculator and they estimated the cost of registration with transfer of plates to be roughly $68. Now I called Meir back and questioned the cost of this and he explained that if it does not cost the full amount they charge they will issue a check for the balance. Even though I thought this charge was extremely high when they could of used the estimate calculator themselves I let it be.
Now after all the errors I found and the added charges I called Meir and questioned him on each charge. After explaining the GAP coverage he still tried to force it on us and telling us we needed it, even after explaining we are paying it off that we do not need coverage. He also argued with me over and over about the price of it being wrong and that the amount financed was NOT $76 THOUSAND. Then laughed it off and said "at least it will work out in your favor, if you total it you will get that much". WHAT! are you joking?! no insurance company is going to fall for that. I could not believe that I heard him say that!
After much time back and forth I demanded a new contract wrote up with the added charges removed. I also had to explain how I was NOT going over 2 hours to resign a new contract they could either fax it, and id mail it. Or just send them all in the mail. I then wrote out a letter to Meir, explaining the breakdown of charges and requesting the changes. I faxed, emailed, and mailed the letter so they had no reason to not receive it. I later got a call from Ralph Gamboian who was very helpful about sending the new contract out FedEx with an included envelope for us to ship back out to them. After we got the new paperwork we verified the charges were removed and got it all signed and mailed back. The corrected amount came to $953.12 lower than the original contract!
We then got a notice from FedEx we had an envelope from them that required a signature. Well we had issues with FedEx not being able to deliver when someone was here to sign so they ended up sending it back. I called and questioned them on what it was, and I was told it was the title from the previous owners that we had to sign and send back. What? There should of been no title from previous owners that we needed to sign, that should of all been the dealers job. Later on I questioned the title again and got told that we did not need to sign it that they did on our behalf. OK? not sure what that was about since we never even saw it anyway.
Well weeks went by and we still had no registration. We contacted Wiz Auto again to find out what was going on. They told us there was issues trying to get the car registered because the previous registration had both our names on it, where this one was only going in her name. Many times they tried to make us get new plates and we refused and told them from day 1 we wanted to transfer the plates and should be no issue. Well February 12 came and the vehicles transit plate expired with no registration still. Now the vehicle had to sit and could not be driven which left her with no car to get to and from work. Called several times and still got the run around, we will get back to you, having trouble, can't do it, need new plates. Over and over we got excuses but no answers. Finally I had to call the DMV myself and speak to the lady, find out how it had to be registered and pass that information onto Ralph who then passed it onto the company they use to register cars. This company was completely clueless to how to register the car with only her name. I was so unbelievably frustrated and dumbfounded at how much trouble it was and that I had to do their job for them. TWO weeks after the transit plate expired we FINALLY got the registration! That was TWO weeks she missed out on work because of THEM not knowing what they were doing.
We then tried contacting Ralph again several times and leaving multiple messages to find out when we could expect the refund of the registration cost since it did only come out to be roughly $68. Weeks went by and still no call from him so I decided to email them instead. Days went by and finally got an email back from him. He said as soon as he got the numbers back from the registration company he would know what to issue for the refund. This was over a month after we got the registration and I told him I expected that to be plenty of time to get the paperwork he needed back. The next morning I got an email from him with the paperwork and asking where he should send the check. After inspecting the charges I noticed that he tried to charge us a $75 service fee. Really? another fee trying to charge us. I told him I thought it was absurd them trying to charge us a fee for the service of the registration company when I had to do their job for them. I could of registered the car myself before the transit plate even expired and avoided all the problems if they had given me the paperwork. He then agreed to eat the service fee and refunded us the remaining $217 which we just received on April 3rd.
From January 13th till April 3rd, it took us to finally finalize this purchase of this car from them. Almost 3 whole months for something that should of been done and over with by the end of January. When we contacted Ralph about when we could see the balance for the registration sent out to us we also asked if anything was going to be offered to compensate for the two weeks the car could not be driven and the work missed out on. Mind you, I had made it a point to mention that many times while communicating with them during the process of trying to get the car registered. Not once did they acknowledge the burden and loss it was having on us and never did they offer anything to help or correct the issue. When asked this final time before I wrote this review Ralph simply replied, "We are in no way responsible for her missing two weeks of work."
This was our first purchase from them, and we will NEVER go back. I highly suggest no one else go there either. I can only imagine the amount of people who unknowingly get charged for the extra charges they tried to throw on our contract. The whole experience was horrible and took far more time than it should have. I also forgot to mention the ABS light came on a week after we brought it home. Due to the issues I was already having I simply bought and replaced the ABS sensor that was bad myself to save myself the headache of contacting them with another problem. Do yourself a favor and stay away! I will be forwarding this to all review sites I find them on as well as the Connecticut DMV and Connecticut Better Business Bureau.

Wiz Autos don't give back my car deposit

I was going to see a toyota, but somehow ended up finding a really nice and cheap luxury car. The sales person told me to put down the deposit because these cars go fast. I asked him if I can get the deposit back if I change my mind. He said ABSOLUTELY. I came back home, checked the CarFax reports and found incomplete information. I called the sales person, he told me that he checked with an offical dealer to see the records, and just told me bunch of service records without showing any written proof. I told him that I wanted to cancel the transaction and get my deposit of 500 back. Then he switched me to another person, who said would extend the warranty for me. I waited for two days and nothing was sent to my email. Then I called the sales guy again and he keeps asking me why I'm not satisfied and REFUSE to refund me my deposit. Every person I know about CT dealers told me that any dealer cannot take my deposit before I register for the car. But Wiz Leasing just did!

Honestly, I am not complaining about their cars. They are cheap, that's why I put down my deposit. But the service sucks. If he refused to refund my deposit, I really cannot trust his 60days/3000 miles warranty.

I have been to this dealer twice and both times I left angry and disappointed because it was a bait and switch each time. They advertise the price of the car and then when you arrive it's $1000 more, very sketchy. The first time I went they appraised my car for one price and said if I got a few things fixed they would give me a higher price. I came back a few weeks later with more than what was needed fixed and they appraised my car at an even LOWER price than they originally looked at it. I called specifically before traveling 2 HOURS up to the dealership to talk about if it was possible to get the car I wanted in my price range with my trade in. I was told "absolutely, no problem, we can definitely get you to that price". The value of my trade in they offered me was insulting and thousands lower than every other place I had been to. They then raised the price of the car by at least $1000 than what was advertised online. They said there was nothing they could do even though the monthly payment was well over $100 more a month than what was discussed on the phone.

This is clearly a bait and switch and was a complete waste of my time and money. Obviously I'm even more upset that I drove 2 hours each way to go to this dealer. Then left empty handed after being deceived about the price of the car and my trade in value after I called specifically about it before going all the way there. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER.

Bought a $19k Suburban from them and it broke down two weeks and less than 500 miles later! First a bunch of warning lights came on, then the transmission started shifting really rough from first to second and the car was idling really hard and heavy, and finally blue smoke started coming out the exhaust. Turns out it needed a new engine, which cost me $7, 000, not to mention almost a thousand on a rental card, and lost time from work.

BE WARY OF WIZ LEASING!
I purchased a car sold by Wiz Leasing via the CT Auctions they have in Wallingford, CT. This was back in 2006 and it was a 2001 Chevy Cavalier for $3180.00 and I paid CASH on the spot. They filled out all of the paperwork for me at the auction house desk, all I needed to provide was my name, address and CT license number. I got my temporary plates, receipts, and drove my car home. A month after my purchase, I noticed I had not received the title in the mail. I figured it must have gotten lost in the mail and did not worry about it thinking that if I ever needed the title, I could just get a duplicate from the DMV. I did not find out until 2013, when I moved out of state and needed the title to register my car, that the car's title was NEVER SIGNED OVER TO ME. Not only was it not signed over to me, the car's title was deemed SALVAGED. I pulled up the car fax and there is a report from 2005 indicating the car was totaled and the salvage title was issued. What I can piece together was that the original owner totaled the car, Wiz's garage towed the vehicle, they rebuilt the car so that it looks like its never been in an accident, and illegally sold it via the auction. None of the original documents that I have from the auction indicate that it was a salvaged car. They never disclosed it. They also sold it for full value, probably knowing full well that if they said it was a salvaged car, they wouldnt be able to sell it for much. On top of all of that, the car fax report shows the original owner of the car living at MY ADDRESS! I have tried to contact Wiz about this mess, they claim to know nothing. I tried calling the DMV and supposedly they sent a letter to Wiz about the issue but never got a response back so "there was nothing else they can do for me". I cannot sell my car, I cannot sell it for parts, I cant even junk it without a title. I cant register it and I cant insure it. I am beyond livid at this point with Wiz Leasing.
They are scammers. Beware when purchasing a car from these folks. They sell cheap cars for a reason. Get a VIN number for any car you are even looking at buying and check all the reports for that VIN!

I felt obligated to buy my car there because they wouldn't return my 500 dollars back, they made me sign a sheet and I didn't notice it said that the deposit is none refundable, before I put the 500 dollars down Anthony the sales men promised me I would get my money back if I changed my mind. ok I got the car, within a few days I brought it to MIDAS for a professional check up, they said that a few things must be changed because it will cause future problem. I went to them with the news that my car needs to be checked and fixed because it was starting to make noise, I only had a month of guarantee and the lady rudely said I need to schedule before anything, and she scheduled for 2 weeks after the day I complaint, but if you noticed, that left me 2 weeks more with guarantee which is not fair for them to take for ever, and at the end they kept my car for 4 days and said that its on my mind, there are no noise and nothing is wrong, I forgot to mention the GCW plan they offered. it is BS. after the snow storm 2 months with the car, I lost my transmission? the professional that fixed said it would of happen no matter what because it was welded not fixed from before? so they sold me a messed up car, and when I called this GWC they said because I didn't bring to one of their shops they would give me just a 1000 dollars, the guy that made me sign the contract never mentioned but local shops, Wiz leasing Manipulates you with good prices a BS promises to keep business going. their customer service are terrible. read the 20 pages contract before signing, it will be worth it? rub in the dealers face that how are they promising the 500 dollars deposit back if they make you sign a paper that says that the deposit is none refundable

I am also is one of the people burnt by this dealer practice - Sell it NOW..Fix it later. Please watch the video on Y.O.U.T.U.B.E labeled Wiz Leasing Inc - The truth ( Part 01) and search for Buyers Guide Window Sticker rule. This a federally mandated and can carry a penalty of last time checked $11, 000.00 per violation (i.e per car)-see how many you count in the video.. Trying to warn others from the public good, but defending our rights is a must: so first - spread the word about with all the people you know in your sphere of influence. Second- take action CALL:l the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) help line, call CT Attorney General, Call CT DMV complaint department, Call Ct Consumer Protection...You can also file a compliant if your rights were violated and there were no window stickers on the vehicle you bought. We worked Third:You might be able to recover financial damages should a class action L.A.W S.U.I.T should be brought against them by the government. We work hard for our money..and yes not every one can afford new car..but to be sold promises that we are getting good deals, then given the run around to get them repaired (One week, Two weeks..) after the themselves give you the appointment to find out later they only worked on it for 1/2 hour and there is no documentation what so ever of what they did..(search for what CT attorney general posted on Taking the Scare Out of Auto Repair and the CT DMV auto repair rules.)

bought a 2005 Honda odyssey touring $ ALL CASH no monthly payments $ about 1 mth ago and IT TURNED OUT TO BE A BEAUTIFUL SHELL .. What a mistake i did .. As soon i drove the car out the dealer ship the check engine light turned on .First the radiator hose popped out on me with my wife and kids in the car while we was driving home. then the spark plugs were fried up like it never been changed EVER! .. Then right after that the all 6 ignition coils went out . That cost me 500 dollars in a Honda dealer Now the icing on the cake is that the main seal on the engine is gushing motor oil out between the motor and the transmission . and the Honda dealer said it's gonna cost me $1, 300.00 to fix it .. I told Anne and the salesman that sold me the car Anthony about my issues and all they do is brush me off .. I Really think of taking this to consumer's affair & court because they sold me a "lemon" SO buyers plz beware . They promise ever a car detail and i never got one . i work really hard for my money plus i have 3 boys a wife and bills for me to be spending on parts that they said they was gonna fix . It really bothers when some dealer treat you like royalties when they want the money but after they got it you are put in the garbage pile .. I'M SO STRESSED OUT WITH THIS NIGHTMARE ... THANKS WIZ LEASING, ANNE & ANTHONY FOR ALL THE PROBLEMS YOU GIVING ME ...

P.S .. To all Honda, Acura, Lexus car owner that just bought their car there .. all the parts they use is after market . those parts are no good .. Ask a real dealer .Almost for got ... I took my odyssey to 2 real Honda service dealer and they gave me ALL the proof of the problem the car has .. I have No reason to lie or ### ... In this world you need proof and proof is WHAT I GOT ! Not all cars in that lot is the same . Some are good and some are bad But then you also have some with hidden secrets ... and guess what they aint going to tell you .

I am absolutely confident and grateful for Wiz Leasing! This is one company I can walk into and know for sure that will not turn me down in spite of my credit or my employment status. They will work their ### off for you to be in a car. I have bought three BMW from them over the past Two years. Their cars are cheapest anywhere within in the NY and CT area. I love their products. 99% of their cars are in grate conditions. Now given that every purchase is not going to be perfect, most of the cars have been driven before so they would need to be tuned up and given a good over all. I had a BMW that was not suitable and did not meet my satisfaction, Ann and Frank worked hard and effortlessly to ensure that I was satisfied; they got me into another car that I was happy with.

Lets face it cars are not going to show all the nicks and issues that’s why they give you 60 days to drive the car and make sure its satisfactory to any buyer. What I love about wiz leasing is that they service the very cars they sell us, so they know their cars. I had an issue with my BMW, Samson who is one of the top auto mechanic guy in Connecticut who heads up wiz auto body shop ordered my parts which cut my time and price in more than half. I would have paid 1200, for one part at BMW; I only paid 150 at wiz. They not only sell cars but they will service your car at a more economical rate and still give a 100% service.

Now I have had a few moments where I wanted to throw my car keys on wiz, they are so busy that at times its hard to get someone to talk to, but other than that they shell products that perform, their prices and services is grate I would recommend them above other car dealership; I have brought many family member, church members, and co-workers to buy cars form wiz. They all love their products and is satisficed, again if your not they work hard to ensure your satisfaction.

Do not allow other costumers to discourage you, I have sat in the show room and see costumers come in with jacked up credit and don’t have any source of income, that have put down-payment for mounts and allow the time to run out so they lose their perches and deposit. Now be real now if you’re the one not following the protocol of a company then have the nerve to be rude and ignorant…I strongly suggest that you come and experience the grate services and products that I have enjoyed for the past few years I have been buy from wiz, they are the only car company I would buy form.

The same thing happened to me. They took my $500 deposit on a car. I checked the Carfax after they told me the car was clean, and found issues with the car. Within a few days, I notified them that I wanted my deposit back.
They refused. I complained to both the BBB and DMV, but they still refused the refund. They lied to both agencies as to why they refused the refund.
This is the most crooked dealership I have ever seen in my 40 years of buying cars.
What goes around, will come around ... they are a bunch of ###s, from the salesman to the management ... crooooks allllllllllllll the way !
