Wish.com review: their real business is harvesting credit card numbers 29

This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I wanted to order a jacket from them using a phone app. The jacket cost $15. I got to the end payment stage, gave them my credit card number, and attempted to finish the order but the system bounced back and said "try again later." Nevertheless, they charged my card four times for one dollar, then credited four times for one dollar, apparently to see if the number was valid. Several days later they charged me $52, although I never completed the order (and even if they interpreted my failed checkout as "completing, " why charge me three and half times the advertised price?)
Their website conveniently has no phone number for them, and sending an email via their online contact page yields no results.
These people are clearly scammers--they might ship a few items here and there to pretend to be a real business, but given the volume of complaints from googling "wish.com fraud, " it's clear what their real intentions are. Stay away from them!

I am amazed at these comments as I have bought alot of things from WISH. I have never had a problem and the jewelry is beautiful. It doesnt last forever but it is fun jewelry. I bought bird toys and some art brushes. All good deals.

I get spam gmail and notifications about Asian women. And gmail all knows it is from Wish and only dumb Wish. I Wish that Google auto deleted all messages from Wish, and for the notifications to burn in hell
Wish is stupider than Jupiter, not to offend you Zeus
And Wish should be getting raped by a tramp

I've already gotten 36 items that I ordered and they all turned up in excellent condition. I still have more items to come. I've used my credit card w/o PayPal with no problems. I hope this helps.

I ordered goods from Wish from the phone app. The goods arrived and were excellent for what I paid for them. Then a few weeks later £7, 000 taken from my credit card and someone tried to steal my phone number (by contacting my phone provider, telling them the phone and card were stolen and arranging a new SIM to go to them). Fortunately I am getting the money back but these are the only new people I used with my card for over 6 months so has to be them.

Uhm... I've ordered four things off wish, two yet to come, one came on time and in great condition. the second item never arrived, but i contacted wish and they happily refunded me the whole amount including shipping. My ex friend had no problems and ordered a LOt from them as well. We use PayPal so I am unsure if that does anything. I have also seen very ver positive reviews from friends and a whole bunch of people online so.

I was a seller on this site. I have very good sale almost 2 years sell on this site.
But the last months, they hold all of my money almost USD 9, 000 without any reasons, can not call them, and email are not answered.
Just research about this company, they has super bad reviews both from seller and buyers. They scammed from both side. Really complete scam !
I was reported them to the international police.

Also see here, how they was scammed their seller https://apps.shopify.com/wish

ABSOLUTELY 100% AGREE, wish.com are crooks, after I ordered some items from them, my cc number was fraudulently used in stkres all over the country and some out of the country, I knew right off it was wish, also everything you order, especially cloths are junk, wrong colors, bad stiching, just cheap junk like you would find in a dollar store, BEWARE, they'll steal your cc info !

A agree, Wish.com is nothing more than a credit card harvesting site. I bought one item in August 2016 and it was delivered as promised. In September 2016 there were a couple charges on my credit card for about $2 each, apparently to see if the credit card was valid or it I would notice the charges. I didn't notice them. Then later in September and October the charges started appearing on my credit card from Wish.com for items I did not order, averaging about $50 per item. I started receiving junk from China in my mail from Wish.com, things I did not order, and mostly inferior, counterfeit merchandise directly from China. I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charges. Interestingly enough, the operator at my credit card company said I was the second call she had taken that day with similar complaints about Wish.com. I do not recommend dealing with this company.

I only use PayPal because they aren't supposed to be able to access your details. Is this happening with people who are using PayPal?

Funnily enough my bank had to close my credit card because of fraudulent activity from WISH.com. I then changed to Paypal and Wish blocked my Wish account. I have written about 10 emails to them asking why my account was blocked and they won’t tell me why. I have purchased several things from Wish over the course of 6 months, and now they have blocked me the moment I switched to Paypal.

I use PayPal only with Wish.com and have had no issues with it for the past couple years but today I received something I did not order and I am a little concerned. I don't detect any other purchases on my account but since I do order from them it's hard to tell. But the package I received also had incorrect information on it. My phone number had one digit off and the house number was incorrect. I am so confused!

I absolutely agree Wish.com is a rip off. I ordered a nail polish. When it arrived it was dried. There are no instructions of any kind and I was not given the option to return the product.

Wish is compliciant with out right fraud in my opinon. I was hacked after ordering a few items. Over $500.00 worth of fraudulent purchases over 3 months. Some vendors refunded money asap, others I had to have My bank/VISA pull funds back, other vendors are now being investigated.
Please make note: majority of vendors are associated with a store front company based in California. The sizes are European / Asian sizes way smaller than American standard sizing, items are counterfiet from some vendors.
For those of you who don't follow the news: our American dollars are going to China, China and Russia (president P.utin) are forming an alliance. The US government has reduced our military so our super power status is a misnomer. Try to buy USA made products if at all possible. Wish.com and Cute.com are several other "discount" sites fall under the same core store front in California... Do your research as I did, fight if they don't ship an order or refuse to refund your money. They will try to have you do the leg work to track down a purchase they may or may not have insured. Bottom line it's your money you work hard for it, even if it's only $1.00. To date I have been refunded about $320.00 for fraudulent practices against WISH.com and Cute.com ( again this is my personal story, situation, resolution, and opinion).

I was referred to a credit specialist though my colleague when I had credit issues and they helped me remove all negative items from my report and also improved my score to 780+ excellent very fast. I’m very grateful, I'm recommending spacewebhacks01 AT gmail DOT com, to everyone who needs to fix their credit score and they also help to clear creditcard debts. You can also text them on 8 6 2 2 0 5 3 2 2 5

Thank you so much for sharing. I was trying to purchase from them. I know better now. However, now I know that I need to watch my credit card for unauthorized charges. Unfortunately we all need to remember, if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. In other words, if it LOOKS too good too be possible, true, or affordable, DO NOT BE FOOLED. We NEED to always check reviews and ask around. We need to do this BEFORE we SUPPORT these CRIMINALS.
