Winnebago 2022 Hike 100

Discovered the roll cage is sunken in on the drivers side of the front of the camper. There is damage in the shower directly behind where the cage has sunk in. Rv tech indicated this is a factory defect and there are no signs of neglect of maintenance. We have inspected and resealed seams every 90 days and have had the roof sealed as well. Very disappointed to have something like this happen to such a new unit. The shop that inspected it is filing a warranty claim for us. Found this apparently is a common problem and would like it to be made right

Desired outcome: Damaged areas repaired properly or replacement unit

Winnebago unsatisfactory warranty service and safety-related issues

Purchased new 2018Forza 34T on Dec 7, 2017 from Southaven RV in Southaven. MS.
Had several problems on the way home to the Dallas. Tx area. On a return trip to Southaven, we had warranty repairs performed at the purchasing dealer on March 12, 2018. Most of those repairs lasted for only a few months. I brought the unit to McCleans RV in the Dallas area with a list of issues on January 7, 2019 and was informed that the warranty is no longer valid. I was told at the purchasing dealer that problems with the coach would be covered for three years, but I have nothing from the dealer concerning this or any other Winnebago warranty. I did purchase and extended warranty for 7 years, but it is limited in scope. Several of the current issues are safety related and I will file complaints with NHTSA since Winnebago will not repair the issues. Those two issues are: 1) bed above driver and passenger will not lock in place on the passenger side and is slanted down on that side, as a result the seatbelt type attachment on driver side cannot be locked. Should the driver side drive mechanism fail while in motion, it will impact the drivers ability to control the vehicle and 2) the two outside storage bay doors behind the entrance door open while in motion. This has happened several times and struck objects on the side of road. This has damaged the two doors. Fortunately there were no vehicles on the passenger side when this occurred. If there were, it would likely cause a traffic accident to either vehicle.

How do I have to resolve the two safety related issues and how do I get the defective repairs reworked?

Winnebago Poor quality of workmanship

The dealer told my brother our 2010 Via was fixed after over 30 days at their Hillsboro shop. It was purchased in March and had some problems. It was taken to the dealer in Portland and the inverter was not fixed then we took it to the Hillsoboro shop and they told my brother it was fixed, but when he arrived nothing had been done to it. Then I came down from Seattle to find that they still had not fixed most of the issues. They kept saying "could not replacate" or "call the manufacturer". Frankly, I think that Winnebago quality has suffered greatly since the economy dumped. The dealer finally fixed most of the issues - the awning was mounted 1" too low at the factory and the tensors were not adjusted properly, the leak at the back of the toilet (fresh water) needed a clamp, the door seal was installed improperly and it tore the outer seal - not fixed totally but the seal is not sticking out now, the TV does not work on satellite - the internal wire is broken and per Olinger needs a factory part (new wire), the inverter still malfunctions and Winnebago says after 5 have been installed that they have not had that problem on other vehicles (Olinger says it is a bad GFI)and the list goes on. Since then I have asked Winnebago to have a new dealer in WA handle the remaining items and to also add the main door handle (crooked), the seals on the slider windows (seaping out), the refrigerator "whine" and the door not closing the same at top and bottom among other things. I am not holding my breath that the vehicle will be ready to go in September for my next trip.

It will take several weeks for a part to be shipped so the engine can be repaired. No part exists in Germany or the USA. The check engine light kept coming on and going off due to problems with the anti pollution system. Dropped the Reyo off today so we can get a new refrigerator, range hood fan and other issues. Won't be ready for a week or more.

I have a 2011 Reyo I bought in October. It has been towed once, has gone into "limp mode" three more times. It has been in for repair at four Mercedes dealers in four states for a total of 5 visits. It has been at a Freightliner in two states about four times and going again tomorrow. We had a pedal sensory valve replaced, the EGR three times, turbo resonator twice, O rings, had a metal plate put over the EGR and thicker rubber gasket around the hood opening. We have to have a new refrigerator as it frosted over and I had to throw out medication. The motor was replaced in the Kwikee steps. the fan in the range hood has to be replaced or repaired. The door handle is still too hard to open. Insulation is falling on the dash. Laminate is coming off the closet door. The TV/Radio knob was in upside down. There was air and light coming in around the refrigerator that had to be repaired shortly after purchase. the water inlet valve fell off. the check engine light still comes on and off despite all the visits to Mercedes and Freightliner. We have taken only two trips and spent time for repairs each time, a total of four states for RV dealer repairs not related to the engine. Winn. refuses to take it back, pays for repairs and we are told we will love this unit. HAH!
