WinCo Foods customer unprofessional service

The store wasn't as busy as usual and the cashier by the name of Maria decided to close her line as I approached to be checked out. I understood and moved to the next available cashier. After unloading my cart with 15 items I noticed that she allowed another customer to come after she closed her line. I approached her and let her know how upset I was and how her unethical Behavior needed to be reported to Management.

After speaking with the night Manager (Josh) he stated that he will report her to Management.

In my opinion, the customer Service at this Location need to be re trained and rewarded for excellent Customer Service

WinCo Foods lead clerk

I'm currently an employee at Winco in Garland I have a complaint against a Lead Clerk on the overnight crew I'm not sure what his name is, but he was rude to my fiance as I had got off work my fiance wasn't doing anything except waiting on me I didn't know my fiance couldn't stand and wait for me along side me when I clock out. It was the first time anyone said anything and the guy started causing a scene and other employees and customers were looking over at us like what the world is going on. I did not appreciate the guy acting the way he did. I love working with the company and this is the only complaint I have. He did not show good customer service at all.

That situation has absolutely nothing to do with customer service. Your fiance was not a customer. Your complaint also belongs to your store not the internet. You should have addressed it there.

WinCo Foods hamburger

I bought 2 lbs hamburger for my wife, and was told when she cooked it and ate it, it had hairs in it.

Then week later, she asked my to buy more hamburger, but not Winco, so I went to Costco, and had to buy her a large portion, which was way too much for her, but she finally used that up,

The she called and asked for more hamburger, and I bought another 2 pounds, and this time she bit into it and got 2 bones. She said never buy meat at Winco Again.

WinCo Foods racist comment by winco employee

Nov. 2015: I am shopping at the Winco in Orangevale, CA, and as I am searching for onion buns, a Winco employee (dressed in the black win on polo shirt, walks right by me and says, "What, no fried chicken today?" he kept walking down the aisle all the way towards produce and entered into the employees only section. I stood there with my mouth open for a few seconds and watched as the perpetrator entered the back section of the store. I went over to a cashier and asked for the manager, and was pointed towards the cashier that he was at. I spoke to the manager and told him what the male, 20ish employee had said. the manager asked if I could identify the employee. I told the manager that the I was looking at the bread when the employee mad the comment, and when I turned to look at him, he was already past me and quickly walking and exited the public area of the store. The manger apologized for the employees bad behavior, then spent time watching me as I paid for items and left the store.

WinCo Foods rude store manager

Yesterday 5/19/14 I was shopping at this Winco with my family around 3pm
Or so. I was looking for a specific item and had asked a number of employees where it was located and they all have me different answers. With that being said, I asked the manager Eli where the item was and he too did not know where it was. I had asked him if he was the store manager and he replied yes, so u asked him how come you don't know where this item is when you are the store manager. He then replied, yes I am the manager that's why I have this name badge on that says store manager (in a rude tone). After this, I then asked since he couldn't find the item who could I asked that did know where it was. He answered, obviously if you already asked three other employees and myself then apparently we don't have it. I thought this statement alone was the rudest thing someone has ever told me. I will not be treated like this at a local grocery store and will be shopping here again. Someone needs to teach him some customer service skills because obviously he doesn't have them and shouldn't be in management if he can't be courteous nor know where things are in his store.

Tonight 05/ 29/ 22 at 22:3352, I went to Winco at (8142 Sheldon Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95758). I need dough for dumplings and I ask the lady who sat in the self-service line and asked her where can I find the dough? She without giving me a direction or number told me the name of the section with seeing me. I didn't get it but I went trying to find it. When I come back and wanted to check out my Items. the self-service does not proceed and it gives a massage to put back the item. I put it back the Item and try it still it shows the same Item. Then I wanted to call the lady her name was Alexis. She speak with someone I waited for a while they finish speaking and help me with that. They still continue and then I try to call her "Excuse me I need help?". she didn't attention and keep continue with the lady and third time I rais my hand and call her. Suddenly she looked at me and got angry and told me something. I come close and said what do you say. She said don't snap at me? I told her no I didn't snap I just shake my hand since I called you several time and you didn't listen. She said you shouldn't snap me just wait until someone come. I really embarrassed in front of my daughter that she is really afraid. She said I don't help me and she call her colleague and when she come the problem was sold. She also showed attitude and in a routh way said you should read the massage it said I read and it says put back the Item but now the massage has gone and it does not appear. I really got Panik and I just want to leave the store. Both of them was very bath attitude and specially when they said my English has accent.

WinCo Foods don't buy from them, bad staff

I used Winco Grocery Hemet for several years, and recently I had the horrible thing with them. I went to buy groceries and they refused to take my receipt. They told me that my name wasn’t the same as on the driver license. They asked to provide the proof and at the nest day I provided them different credit cards, but they again refused. It was too much for me. I never returned to this shop. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Can you provide any good piece of advice?

WinCo Foods ground beef

1-22-14
We purchased low fat content 7% fat ground beef at nearly $ 5 a pound at winco. I made hand pressed hamburger patties and noticed how fatty the meat looked but went ahead and cooked anyway on grill. I got to say that this was the worst ground beef I ever tasted in my life. It was just aweful it was like chewing on leather. I will never buy any meat whatsoever from winco again. I usually buy all meat from SAMs club which is excellent quality meat. I shop at winco once a week for all my other groceries with no complaints. Bakery is very good and the prices overall are very reasonable. Just the meats are very low quality now. And I ve been shopping at winco since the early nineties and bought meats there in the past which was a little better quality then compared to now. Not ever any meat from winco again for me.

WinCo Foods mistreated

On 10/26/2013 19:15, I went into Winco on Ashlan Ave in Fresno. I happened to be driving on the street saw Winco and decided to make a quick stop since I have few coupons for any Armour products, which were about to expire in a few days. I don't even live in the area, I just happened to be in town. It was the biggest mistake of my whole entire shopping life. Along with my sister and my daughter. I was purchasing 3 boxes (18 count) of Armour Lunchmakers. The coupon stated, "$1 off any Armour Product". Along with that, I decided to get Clairol hair dye color. Coupon stated, "$5 off any two Clairol hair color". My sister and I went through a different check out lanes. My cashier 's name was Leticia. The Armour coupon wouldn't scan, so she had to call Bonnelle who was the Lead Clerk. I can hear Bonnelle telling my sister that the Armour coupon did not match the item she got and that she needs to get the one with juice with it. I also heard loudly over the next lane, "where did you guys get this coupon? we're gonna find out where these people are getting these coupons from", even the cashier told him from the newspaper inserts. When he came over to my lane, did not explain anything to me about the coupon or my transaction but instead, he was very rude, disrespectful, loudly started to say, "can't believe this", "holding up the whole store". He was also mumbling rude comments during the whole process. There were at least 7 registers open and only 3 customers behind me. Not only verbally but also his body language too was inappropriate. He kept shaking his head the whole time. I did not say 1 word. I was okay with the coupons not being accepted, but I was not okay with how he treated a customer. He got an attitude just because he had to walk over and void the transaction. His behavior was unprofessional and all that nonsense was not necessary. I felt that it was discrimination. I felt embarrassed because of his behavior. Bonnelle did not have to cause a scene. I have been in a health care for over 14 years. I have been a Lead Nurse for the past 8 years. The kind of behavior and attitude that he displayed today was inappropriate. If he was my staff, that would have call for immediate grounds for disciplinary actions. Once again, I understand if he was unable to accept the coupons, but it was unacceptable how he reacted. This needs to be addressed, and I hope this never happens to another customer. I will not be returning to any WinCo Foods.

WinCo Foods - bulk bin dog treats

WinCo foods, Henderson has unsafe dog treats in their bulk bins. They will not take responsibility for selling these treat to pet owners. These treat killed my AKC Service dog, when my dog got kidney disease from two of their treats sold at their store and died. An accident report was made at this store in Feb. 2013, with no response. So with this in mind...

WinCo Foods stealing from shoplifters

Winco is making huge windfall profits off the misery of small time shoplifters. They catch someone taking a one or two dollar item and make them pay Winco a $250 fine plus the price of items taken. The shoplifter cannot take the items home, even though they are forced to pay for them.

This equates to $1, 000 per day per store if they do this only 4-times per day, which is probably a low number. Do the math and it reveals a profit of $365, 000 per year per store in free profit for selling absolutely nothing. Just ripping off people who take a small item from the store. How is this fair?

This means that for every 100 Winco stores, they are making more than 36-million dollars in free profit for selling nothing. I'm guessing that they are doing this more than 4-times per day per store, but only Winco knows for sure.

So, the bottom line is that Winco is NOT in the food business. Winco is in the business of EXTORTING money from petty shoplifters.

ummm, don't shoplift. Why should the shoplifter have the right to take it home after he paid for it? If he had the money to pay for it he shouldnt have tried to lift it.He is costing the business money and did something illegal.

WinCo Foods deceptive meat packaging

I have a food smoker I use to make my own jerky. I buy sliced beef roasts to make my own marinated jerky. I usually give some of it to family and co-workers. Yum Yum. As a teenager I worked in the meat department of a Thriftway store, wrapping meat and cleaning the meat dept. at night before closing. I learned the different cuts of meat and can usually pick a nice tender steak, if I'm not deceived. WinCo Food's meat department (at least the store on the west end of Hillsboro Oregon) often sells boneless beef roasts which they have sliced, about a quarter inch thick, GREAT IDEA. THE PROBLEM: About 8 months ago I got home from this store with TWO sliced roasts which they had tucked about a pound of fat under the top layer that you couldn't see without un-packaging the roast. I'm thinking, this is a rotten trick! PAYING FOR A LOT OF FAT, obviously stuck there on purpose. But I let it go, I had time to watch it cook and wanted it done. THEN, a couple months later I bought one roast to make some more jerky. Same thing, a wad of fat hidden in it! I took it back this time and informed the meat dept. cleaning lady, asking for a refund, which I got. (I was gracious to her, after all, she didn't pull this trick.) She said she'd show it to their butcher. I told her that I appreciated her efforts with this matter, as this was WRONG. Three days ago, I bought two more roasts, same thing, a wad of un-useable fat tucked into the middle. Needless to say, I took it back for a refund AND I'M DONE. THIS IS UN-ACCEPTABLE! Everyone knows (and talks about) their produce is of poor quality, often spoiling soon after you buy it (the Thriftway I worked at threw this crap away if they couldn't give it to the local charity). Sometimes (seasonally) produce is better than other times of the year, I get that. But I guess this is how they got to be, and continue to be "THE LOW PRICE LEADER" that they continually boast about. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Bye for good this time, I can't afford their LOW PRICE CRAP.

WinCo Foods employment harrassment

Hi my name is Brady and I was an employee at winco foods in ogden Utah but I did post an personal ad looking for someone to be with yes I am gay but Winco Foods corporate had some complaints about my AD so management took me into the office and talked to me and put me on suspension for 3 days but they told me to take my ad down or take their companies name out of my ad so I took it down and Winco Foods got 4 more complaints after I took my Ad down so I got fired. I would think that to make it right was to put me on longer suspension instead of firing me.

The store I shop at has started only selling Family Size Sabra humus, costing almost $5 per container; I was used to buying a smaller one for $3 something and I can't afford to buy it at the price they're selling it for now.

WinCo Foods unfair promoting practices

Ive been an employee for years i applied for a position which i felt qualified for and they give it to someone that has been an winco employee for 3 months i didnt even get an face to face interview i find it so unfair that ive asked to learn more things but feel only a slap in the face now im beginning to feel that winco treats the employees that dont kiss ### like ### but golden to the ones who do i feel l shouldnt be working hard because its getting m no where since winco foods wants to treats certain employees half ### then i should work half ### im completely vested pay me my money so i can find a better employer who appreciates ALL their employees not the ones who constantly kiss ###!

WinCo Foods problems with promotions

Ive been an employee with winco foods for several years ive asked and requested to learn new things but management refuses and blows me off its not fair that newer employees are learning new things and im not winco foods is suppose to support their employees atribution to wanting to promote within i feel that even though ive been with winco for a long time i feel like a worthless unappreciated employee i also feel that there is alot of favorism and that managers arent considering all employees work all i know is that im tired of doing the same job i want to advance and learn more things and i feel that im not given a fair chance to show my true potential for the ones who are considering on seeking employment think twice before you apply for a job with winco foods

WinCo Foods why would meat dept. manager not know that their buying and then selling spoiled meat, not testing it before it's packed?

I've been a WINCO customer every since they came to Springfield.In the past two months I
bought spoiled hamburger which I just threw out.My brother was trying to convince me that
WINCO Meats standards are the poorest in country.A couple of weeks later I bought some carne asada sliced beef opened it up and it was spoiled.It might of been spoiled before packaging.

WinCo Foods rude manager / discrimination

The Temecula Store manager by the name of Brian King or Key (he refused to provide his last name spelling when asked). Declined me and my wife's manufacturer coupon because in his words "the deal is too good". Its a buy one get one free manufacturer coupon that DOES meet your current coupon policy. I want to be clear that it is NOT a print out. We got it from the Sunday newspaper. We feel that the manger went out of his way to be rude. We have never had a problem using coupons at what was out favorite store. This is the first transaction where we feel discriminated against for using coupons. Why should the manager want to make a paying customer feel awkward and embarrassed for using a VALID coupon that meets store policy? Just because he feels the deal is too good?! What kind of logic is that to reject a coupon? Especially one that will generate revenue for the store! This coupon is reimbursed by the manufacturer in cash, and we pay cash... so why would any reasonable manager turn away a paying customer? Only reason I can think of is discrimination. This is absolutely upsetting and discouraging. We are hoping someone in corporate can help restore our hope in Winco.

It's amazing how malicious people can be sometimes. When someone can't do something they want to make sure you can't do it. I have thousands of positive comments. My name is Jorge Rico from Houston TX and I’m a brand new investor. I started coaching with JT’s organization in May. It is now July and I’m closing my first deal this Friday. I could not have done it alone. Perhaps you may have been burned like I have by other so called coaches that have never done what you’re trying to do or maybe they did it 10 years ago. I recently met JT Foxx at a seminar I attended where he was the guest speaker. I noticed that based on his survey he gave to the guests of the conference was questions based on where you were financially. His team would then meet up with you, and interview you. Those who had money met first...I had none to invest, as a result I was the part of the last of many groups called, in which all in the group had no money...I knew then it was about the dollar and not about really helping people. Just because I didn't have a dollar on that day...didn't mean that I didn't have an annuity maturing for millions within the next few months...so I knew then, this was not who I wanted to be my business or life coach. Sorry to hear that you were scammed. But his connections are legitimate...and who you do hang around does make ALL the difference...food for thought...

WinCo Foods thanks for awful customer service

I was at the seafood counter and questioned for three lobster tails. The sign read $3.98 ea, and I request they guy behind the counter to double check and he said they were. I had a hard time talking to him, because his friends kept talking over me, asking for "individually bagged shrimps" among other things, thinking they were amusing. When I was paying at the register I notice the price was over $14.00 DOLLARS for the lobster. I went to customer service immediately after being rung up to right the error. Chad S. went to check the price, that is when I found out they only wrapped TWO TAILS instead of three, and they charged me by the pound instead of by EACH tail. He then tried to tell me it was $9.96 for the two tails, I questioned him if he saw the sign that read #3.98 each and he said yes, then questioned me if I would like the difference from the $14.94 I was originally charged, I of course said yes. He gave me the difference between $9.98 and $14.94… not $7.96 ($3.98 twice) and the $14.94. When I said he over charged me again… he said "it's the tax"… THERE IS NO TAX ON LOBSTER TAILS, and even if there were, it would not equal $2.02! He then stormed away mad, refusing to give me the posted price, even though he saw the sign, and I had to request someone else to refund me completely, and left with no lobster… and mad myself. THANKS FOR THE FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE CHAD S… and the wonderful guy who ignores customers to talk to his friends behind the seafood counter!

Sorry you had a horrible experience. You should post this complaint on the Winco foods facebook. It sounds silly, but they actually take these kind of situations seriously. I have been taught that the customer is always right. I have had may instances were items were not marked properly and I had to the right thing. If its marked at that price you get it for that price. WinCo Foods rude sean

I just called the Winco in reno at the Northtowne Shopping Center around 8:46am to see if the shasta cola was still on sale for .58 cents, and was spoken to on the phone like a child by an employee who called himself Sean. This of course will not stop me from shopping there because i love the prices and product quality. But when I told him I go there every week and was planning to be there to purchase some, he did explain to me that he wouldnt know because he had been off for the last 5 days, and if he would he wouldnt be able to give me the price. And continued to say in a high pitched sarcastic voice that he felt really bad for me. I said i could really tell by the sarcasism in his voice. He went on to say really high pitched and and loud, "no Really I do feel bad for you." Because this got me upset, I came on line to make a complaint. Upon getting online I did see it was a company policy not to give prices over the phone, but the way I was treated by Sean is very upsetting. If this is good customer service maybe I should shop at Save Mart pay the extra price FOR GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. And I would like to ad that with my past 5 experience with employees at this perticular location, 2855 Northtowne ln., Reno NV., HAVE NEVER BEEN SPOKEN TO ARE HAVE TREATED ME IN THE MANNER THAT SEAN HAS AT AROUND 8:46AM. I wonder what his store manager David Dutek plans to do with this type of customer service.,
