wide world soft baku Software useless and extortionate charge that I did not agree to

On 16th Feb 2010 I switched on my laptop to greet error messages saying Trojan worms and worse had invaded my computer and if I didn't purchase their software I would lose all hard drive data etc. I tried to run my own virus software, but it couldn't progress. So agreed, the price was supposed to be $48.95 USD but was billed $99.85 USD.

I will try to ring them and get a refund.

Another lesson learnt.

My computer froze nd I thought I was getting a virus anyhow my account was charged by Wideworldsoft Baku $147.56, what a fraud.
These people need to be put away. When I think back about it when it happened it was like a nightmare and what a shock they gave me, if it happened again I suppose I might be aware more. What can you do about it? any suggestions

If you have different users on your computer it is easy to get rid off this problem. My son got this virus while he was logged on the computer. It didn't affect the rest of the users so I deleted the infected user and everything was fine. Getting my money back was easy. I just went to my bank, canceled by bank card, filled out a dispute form, and in 5 days I got my money back.

i got scammed too. i had this laptop about 2 wks then it just froze on me one day. i couldnt even turn it off but then this company comes to the rescue and says if i pay them 50.00 they will get rid of the 29 viruses that was blocking my computer use. so i gave up my credit card number and within 3 minutes i watched all the bad things disappear and my computer could be used. i felt this was a great investment until my security tool magically disappeared and no protection. i want to thank the other person who gave the number, i will be calling first thing in the morning.

I can't get ahold of any of the numbers these boards have listed for me. Guess I will just have to call my bank and see if I can file a dispute. This happened about a week and a half ago so hopefully I can still get my money back. I was charged $100 for no freakin reason and my laptop BROKE. It's going to take a couple hundred to fix now all because of these mofo's.

WHEN THEY GO PRISON I HOPE THEY HAVE SOME HORNY INMATES WHO WILL SCREW THEM OVER AND SHOW THEM WHAT KARMA IS LIKE! DROP THE SOAP SON AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS! Being a criminal ain't gonna be so fun for them anymore!

Ladies and gentleman, I to am a victim of said fraud. The 8XX did not ring...I wonder if those who gave the digits to call are part if WWS..hmm, just a thought. I digress. I will buy my next virus protection package at the outlet store. This way I will have something physical in my hand, with actual phone numbers and guarantee plus a box I can take to hug while I sleep and feel secure that my computer is protected. Don't fret though, the best advise is to contact the company that has your card, report the fraud and their name should raise flags on ther the banks end. Oh yeah, get a new account number!

I just got off the phone [protected]) with Mark #321. He apologized for the mistake explaining that I most likely failed to "uncheck" a premium service box when I ordered the service which resulted in my being billed twice. Based on other blogs, I don't buy that excuse, however, Mark #321 did promise my money in full would be refunded within 5-7 work days. I will file a complaint with the FBI nonetheless

Yikes! Me too. Ditto to all the above. I've called my bank, cancelled my card, ordered a dispute form, and plan to complain to the FBI. I still need to take my puter in for a tune-up. Good luck folks. I'm wondering if Macs and PCs are equally targeted?

I am on the phone with my bank now. I was just told that these people will hit your account several times to make sure that it is an open account and when they find out that it is they start charging you for all kinds of things. You need to contact your bank or cc company and get the charges stopped immediately. They are a 3rd party company that sends your card and personal information to many many other companies for you to be charged for things.

Get it stopped now.
