Whirlpool appliances

I ordered a complete kitchen appliance set from Leons. They are from Whirlpool brand. I was told by the sales agent Tony from Leon's vaughan that nothing was in stock and that I would get a call when it came in and to set up a delivery date. He said that it would be a couple of weeks. This was end of May/ beginning of June. So the appliances apparently came in as I got a call from Tony telling me to set up an appointment for delivery. So I called and set up an appointment for July 13. I am doing kitchen renovations and this was the date that everything else would be finished. I threw out all my old appliances thinking that I would be getting my merchandise on the 13th. I got a call on the evening of the 11 stating that there was a mix up and my stuff was actually not in stock. The gentleman proceeded to explain and bad mouth his colleagues by saying that they did not know what they were talking about when they said that it was in stock. I asked to speak to manager Sohaib. He said that they would be delivered in about a week. I told him that this was not ok and then i asked what he meant by a week. I wanted an exact date. He did not have one which was really frustrating. If you dont have a kitchen then everyday counts and is a lot. It can't just be "I think in about a week". He then asked me when next week I would like to have it. Did not make sense to me as I think the obvious answer would be as soon as possible. He then said he would have to check dates for availability but then why did he ask me what date I wanted them? He had no idea what he was talking about. He said he would call me back and he never did. I am currently contemplating going back to the store and getting my deposit back and canceling the order and going to IKEA which has exceptional consumer service. I told the guy on the phone that I would write a bad review and he said that "that was my decision". Where is the concept of "it was our mistake and we will cover the costs of any inconvenience"? Give me something as a costumer that will make up for your mistake. sorry is not good enough when I set up delivery a month ago and was told by Leon's staff members that my items were in stock.

Whirlpool whirlpool-cabrio (electric dryer)

This dryer has been a lemon from the beginning. Within the first month, I had to call the place I was renting to own it thru, to have them come pick it up to have it taken in for service. It is always the same problem that needs to be fixed, the thermal switch. I have had this machine fixed around 10 times or more. I spent a small fortune on this product and cannot afford to go keep purchasing new dryer after new dryer. When this dryer gets hot it gets hot enough to burn a small child so I have always had to keep children away from it. I have informed Whirlpool of this issue and the other issues I have encountered with their other products such as the washer that I had that was the matching CABRIO that the drum broke (mysteriously) and ruined my wooden floor or the newer refridgator that the freezer ices up on to the point you can't get the door open after just defrosting it the day before. I was told their is nothing they can do for me cause I should have spent even more money and purchased an even longer warranty. What happened to the days where if a company produced junk they would do something for the customer about making it right. Never again will I buy there junk.

Hello this company is a rip off I paid for a warranty (450.00) to fix my washing machine when the service man came the first time to see what the problem was. And order parts and left the second time he came had to order more parts and left the third time the part came and it was broken in the box. The 4th time that he came to the house 1 hour later he was stretching his head . I knew something was wrong. Do you know after all that they told me that they won't be able to fix it one month later. My problem is that the service guy came 4 times they charged me for him to come every time (that Is wrong) then they charged me for the parts that he did not fix, they never sent my warranty paperwork in the mail, I can't even see what it says, they did not even have the decency to call me and explain the situation . I had to call them, on top of all that the service guy could only come once a week (wow) [censor] service . Do not waist your money on whirlpool they do not care at all, I was told buy a person on the phone at whirlpool that WE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU HI AND DRY that was not true do not trust my next one will not be a whirlpool.

Within a month of living in Sunset farms we have noticed multiple things missing within our home, and today our refrigerator broke down and there is no service tech available for 3 days! We have been lied to about the two story homes going up around us and the obstruction of views, and watching the headaches of my parents who for the first time in their life were hoping to enjoy being new home buyers only to realize that its nothing its cracked up to be is very unfortunate.

My washer is 2 1/2 years old. The top portion toward the rear of the opening is rusting away. My replaced Maytag was 20 years old and the only reason I replaced it was because it was old, I wish I would have kept it, it would be still working with no problems.. In addition I have had (2) outer tub with bearing replaced. The last one replaced 6 months after the last one. Has the issue with the tub bearings been resolved so I do not have this problem anymore? Is there a lemon department within Whirlpool I can discuss this ongoing problem with? Its obvious a problem with your parts and I want to get some resolve with this matter.

Refrigerator manufactured in May of 2012, purchased at end of June 2012 dies. Service rep from Best Buy's Geek Squad comes out and states that it is the compressor. I don't understand how a refrigerator can go bad in 5 years. I own a Kenmore refrigerator which I have had for over 20 years and it is still running. I am not certain what would cause a perfectly faultless product to die in 5 years. It would seem to me that the product had to be faulty from the beginning. I am now faced with spending $500 to replace a compressor. Please advise if there was a recall on the product that was somehow overlooked.

Can you tell my Why no Power is getting to my Ice Maker. This is a 5 1/2 year old unit and been nothing but trouble. Please help. I have already spent $565.00 out of my pocket. Two Valves, Ice Maker, 2 Optic Boards, and a Main Board. I spoke with a Whirlpool Rep yesterday and she just told me that there was not a recall but additional info on this unit to fix the problem, but wouldn't tell me.

Whirlpool panel for dishwasher

My dishwasher is a lemon and I want some sort of refund. However the parts that keep breaking down are Whirlpool parts.

On July 17, 2012 we purchased a Kenmore dishwasher which uses Whirlpool parts. Neither company will help us.

Some months after purchase the panel went out so an independent repair man put in a new panel. I believe from Mexico. Then in July 2015 we had to put in another panel also from Mexico. Today June 30, 2015 we put in a third panel. The panel cost $125 aside from cost of repair person who waived his charge this time.

The model is 665.13743K601.

The part today June 30, 2017 is WP8558208.

Whirlpool won't help because a Kenmore appliance.

We are in a catch 22 situation here. What do we do. Tom Elden [protected]

The request for information won't help because the complaint is about a Whirlpool part in a Kenmore dishwasher. The folks on the phone won't help.

Basically this is a part from Whirlpool that now says made in the US. But we have little hope it will last longer than the original or the previous two Whirlpool dishwasher panels.

Whirlpool electric range with convection oven

Have a whirlpool model yxfe710how kitchen range with convection oven that is 2-1/2 years old. Ever since new the convection does not work as it should.in the first month the oven made excessive noise during use. The whirlpool tech arrived and suggested that we turn the temp up to 475 deg. For one hour. That should cure the noise. Well, it didn't, it only minimized the noise. It is still noisy. Next we had a runaway oven that did not shut off at the set temperature of 350 deg. This was a safety issue. When we smelled the odor from the overheated oven, it had reached almost 500 deg. Whirlpool fixed that.
We have had 7 (Seven) service calls to repair the convection oven to no avail. It still does not bake in the specified time. The last technician, this summer said "that's just the way it is". We have a convection range that does not bake properly and they

Whirlpool stove top model wcg51us0d500

We purchased this stove top July 2015 at a Home Depot Sale to install in a home we were building. We installed in July 2016. Within 6 weeks the first knob broke. And as of 2 weeks ago all knobs have broken and cannot be used to turn the store burners on or off. I feel these knobs are inferior and need to be redesigned stronger so the plastic stems that fit over the gas controls do not split with normal use. I called to see if there was another option I could purchase and was told the knobs were the same and cost $32 a piece. We purchased 7 appliances for our new home, all of which were Whirlpool or Maytag. This incident has convinced me that the quality of this brand is in question and hope Whirlpool will acknowledge this defect and replace thesee knobs with ones that will work. If not I will replace the whole stove top, not with one of the Whirlpool brands.

Refrigerator came with my new condo. I upgraded to better appliances.
Bought in Sept 2014
Now it stopped working - freezer and fridge warm.
waiting for service guy to come.
Will have to throw out over $200 in food.
My old Kenmore in my previous home lasted over 20 years.
Very disappointed in whirlpool.
If it can't be repaired - at my expense, I'll go out and buy another brand.
What has happened to the whirlpool brand?

We purchased our Whirlpool refrigerator the end of January 2016 It stopped working April 2017. Sears will only give us $550.00 to replace this We paid close to $900.00 We are a modest middle class family. My husband and I both work for Corning Inc. Currently we are using our older Whirpool fridge that no longer keeps cool so I buy 2 large bags of ice and treat it like a ice cooler. Please help us! We bought a Whirpool for its name. Whirlpool washer - cabrio top load

Whirlpool Washer Model # WTW5550XW0 purchase in 2011 just announced deceased after paying an appliance repair person $85 to diagnose, as he estimated $400 to repair! This washing machine is only 6 years old and used by a family of 3, so not very heavy usage in general.

I have found many blogs and sites with plenty of frustrated people with these particular models such as myself that are not satisfied with what used to be traditional Whirlpool quality!

If anything, I believe a recall notice should of been issued for this model as it appears plenty of other folks have died prior to my 6 year old one. Not good...

I would appreciate some response and some type of prorated reimbursement for paying what we paid for a washer that only lasted 6 years! I understand planned obsolescence, but this is ridiculous!

Whirlpool whirlpool washer / wtw5000dw1

I have had a Whirlpool washer for around 4 months and am already having problems. I contacted Whirlpool and was told a repair service in my area would come out to fix it. A repairman came out today, and after several error messages, he had to order several parts. I was told the parts would not be in for 4-6 weeks. I contacted Whirlpool customer service and they were absolutely no help whatsoever. They said they would try to have the parts expedited to 3-4 weeks, but there was no guarantee. Does no one seem to understand that means you are going without a washer for several weeks? With the washer being practically brand new, and the parts being main parts you would think the most practical cost effective thing to do would be to replace it. I waited on hold to speak with a supervisor for at least 15 minutes, and all the supervisor did was relay a message to the customer service rep instead of getting on the phone themselves. Even if the washer does get fixed, how do I know that I didn't receive a lemon to begin with. If this washer is so new, how many more problems am I going to have after these get fixed. I have purchased several products from Whirlpool/Maytag through the years, and after this incident I will never purchase another Whirlpool/Maytag product again. I will also be spreading the word of how Whirlpool does not stand behind its products. This situation could be resolved very quickly and instead they seem to have no care of the consumer. I put a lot of time into my research before I bought this product, and this is not how I expected to be treated if there was a problem.

Amy it doesn't get better. Go with your first impression. I had the same experience. My whirlpool washer electrical board shorted out after 4 months. I had to have new parts replaced. . I asked the same question, why not just replace it as it was so new. The repairman fixed it. Now 2 years later. It's broken again. I am now awaiting to see what Whirlpool will do as this makes no sense. So know your washer will not last even after the repair. Whirlpool should be ashamed. This is suppose to be an American made product, it's on the inside of the washer, then treat your customers like you care. This is a disgrace.

Whirlpool washing machine

My washer had Been broken for nearly 4 weeks. The tub was diagnosed with a hole in the tub...not sure how that happens? Part was ordered through a repair service, part was delivered damaged. The wait continues. Another part was ordered and promised to be delivered two day delivery. Part was never in stock. Now I continue to wait on some x plan thing. 7 days to find the tub. Thursday will be 7 days. No updates, nothing. After hours if being on the phone with Customer service, Im getting no help. Now supposedly, I'll be entitled to a new machine if the part can't be found...then I'll be waiting another week for that to happen. Worst customer service ever...I'll never buy another Whirlpool appliance.

Dear Whirlpool, I am writing this in regards to a washing machine model number WTW4815EW0 serial number
C51832777.
I purchased the washing machine on behalf of my aging and ill parents in April of 2015. My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease 4 years ago and my mother had a stroke seven years ago and has been an invalid for five years. My sister and I care for my parents along with a caregiver. My parents purchase their first automatic Maytag washing machine in 1971. When I purchased the whirlpool washing machine I was told that it was manufactured under the same company that Maytag is manufactured. I was satisfied with this and also knowing the Whirlpool name I felt confident in purchasing this appliance. The machine worked like a charm up until 2 weeks ago. It started to make a loud noise that progressively got worse during the spin cycle. Today I had my very reliable appliance repair man come out to take a look at the washing machine. He told me that the ball bearings in the transmission have gone bad. he said it would not be worth repairing the machine. I feel that we were sold a lemon at my local Home Depot store in Lake Zürich Illinois. I feel this situation is very unfair. Given my parents situation it would be very expensive for me to purchase a brand-new washing machine in only 2 1/2 years for them. I look forward to your response and I am hoping you will have compassion when making your decision.

Whirlpool whirlpool side by side refrigerator.

Every six months I change the water filter. I've tried to purchase a new filter. Can't find one to fit. I give the model #GD5RVAXvY05 and the serial # SY4925823. I'm told the filter has been updated? The problem is the new filter will not work in my refrigerator. I've order several filters from different companies, none will fit. I don't plan on buying a new refrigerator every time I need a water filter. I sure could use some help with this problem.

Whirlpool refrigerator

This fridge keeps freezing up, causing the fan to loudly grind on ice until I unplug the fridge, pull it apart, de-ice it, and put it back together. I'm now on the third time ive had to do this in less than 3 months. I'm at my wits end with this fridge and ready to scrap the 2 year old fridge, buy s non-Whirlpool product, and denounce all Whitlpoolvproducts to all my friends and family. Seriously, a less than 2 year old fridge giving me (and others according to the Internet forums I have viewed) way too much problems?

I'm about done with this fridge unless you can offer up simple fix.

Whirlpool dehumidifier caught fire while operating

I would like to report that my humidifier was running in a basement area and the unit started smoking and caught fire inside the unit. The unit had to be extinguished and also was burning the plastic on the inside of it. This is the 1st time I have ever experienced this. Do these units have a recall for this issue?

Whirlpool fridge repair

Good morning.

Our Kitchen aid Fridge model no KBFS25EVMS0 serial no KY2511499 stopped cooling in April end . We called customer services several times and a technician visited home on MAY 05th and charged 103 CAD for visit and inspection.He claimed that he understood the fault and he need another time with all tools and required parts . He made another visit on May 12 and after fixing the problem he charged us another 389 CAD for the repairs. Fridge started cooling at that time but eventually stopped working after 2 days of repairs.
We called the whilrpool/kitchen aid again & a third visit was made on 17 May in which the technician confirmed that this unit cannot be repaired and you can ask for a refund of 491.75 CAD.

we called customer services for a refund of repair charges as agreed by technician and surprise to note that amount paid towards repairs is not refundable. My question is If the unit was beyond repair which was confirmed by the technicians why would a customer pays repair charges.

The fridge was of no use before repairs and after spending 491 cad it is of no use.

Company's customer service is too bad . They give long waiting periods, do not repair properly and charge money for nothing .

Please look into this as it principally & morally not correct to charge customer for no service given.

Whirlpool faulty microwave

Paid over $450 for this microwave 2.5 years ago(December 2014) (Model WMH76719CW) and now I need a new one (June 2017). It's not worth the cost of repairing. First it was a sensor issue with the error message that we needed to close the door. The door was closed. Then the same night it went dark and wouldn't power on. The irony is that a countertop microwave that we had for over 10 years is still working perfectly. Customer service was no help except when I mentioned I would share my experience with my Linkedin Network of over 3K people not to utilize Whirlpool products for their companies then there was the offer of paying for parts but we would have to use one of their outsourced service techs who can charge over 110.00+ just to come out and we would have no idea how much it would cost to repair and if we chose not to repair we would be on the hook for the $110.00+. Sounds to me that companies do not stand behind their products anymore. I even tried to appeal to their compassion that I am fighting LUPUS and on limited income but no one cares. I used to think Whirlpool was quality but a Fridge we bought the same time as the microwave has had issues with its bottom freezer after 1 year. Guess we should have known that something would happen to the microwave considering that issue. I wish they would consider giving longer warranties. They have lost a customer for life unless they offer to pay for the repair.
