WestSide Car Care / Fraudsters and scammers
I bought CARS protection Plus extended car warranty on September 6, 2008 from Westside Car Care. The owner Johnnie Florez told me the credit card doesn't work and asks me for cash. He drove me to the bank and I paid him
$ 2800 cash for the warranty and I signed the contract. On September 17, I called the warranty company to receive an update on if the application has been received and they told me the application has not been received and West Side Car Care is not authorized to sell these extended warranties. I called the Dealer and they tell me that the warranty is the process of being completed. He also said he was talking to Hank at the warranty company and that they sell the warranty under the name of Westside CN Limited. I called the warranty company back and they tell me no one works there under the name Hank and that they still never the received the auto warranty application from the dealer. The dealer said there is no possibility for refund since he sent the application and money to the warranty company.
In the last week of Sepetember, I called the warranty company and they said Westside Car Care have just signed up as a dealer and in the first week of October they receive my application. This is 3 weeks after he said he mailed my application to the warranty company. Mr. Florez lied to me for 3 weeks and sent in the application after I sent him a letter from my Texas Deceptive Trades Practices Act Demand letter from my attorney. I have canceled the warranty and Mr. Florez refuses to give me my refund. I have a letter from the warranty company stating the payment has been sent back to Westside Car Care. I will be filing complainants with the BBB and suing for treble damages if he does not give me my refund.
I do not recommend anyone doing business with WestSide Car Care. I trusted them and they took advantage of me and lied to me and the owner even avoided my phone calls by pretending to be his son when I called him. I am a student here from Canada and I believe he thinks that I will not take legal action. He is wrong I will be suing for every $$$ I can get with my attorney if he doesn't give me back my refund.
