We bought a GE built-in oven from western appliances and paid for the delivery as well as 4 years warranty.We opened the box the same day that it was delivered. The box was filled with broken glass. The oven seemed intact and new. We called Western Appliances and they said that if there is nothing broken then we don't know why there is broken glass in the box. They told us to install it. After installing it, we realized that the door does not stay completely open. The next day, we went to Western Appliances and they assured us that nothing seem to be wrong, the manager said that the oven door has two glass panels and he does not know why it does not stay open. They told us to call GE. Ge rep. told us that the dealer should give you a new oven. We called Western Appliances and they said, since it is installed, GE should take care of it, now it comes under warranty.GE sent a repair person who told us that there are three layers of glass on the oven door and the middle layer is broken. The only thing he can do is replace the middle glass. They will not replace the oven or even the whole door. We complained to GE again, since we did not pay for refurbished appliance, why should we get a refurbished appliance? They said that this is the best they can do. Next time I will never buy GE products and I will never buy from western appliances.
