My name is William. I am the driver who orginally reported on this website about Ervin Joseph LaMie Jr..YES, Joseph IS A THIEF AND A LIAR! In my first report, I didn't mention that Joseph left me STRANDED in Kansas City, MO., after I demanded my paycheck. You see, Joseph learned of the hotel I was staying at (after I delivered a load for him in Harrisonville, MO.) Joseph called the police (in Missouri) and had them take the red Freightliner from me. Joseph left me in Missouri without money or a ride home. I stayed in the Kansas City area for nearly 3 weeks, before I could get the money I needed to return home. ***HOWEVER, I HAVE RETURNED TO MICHIGAN!***I am currently living in within 10 miles of Joseph's residence***And, I would be HAPPY to assist ANYONE who is interested in bringing CRIMINAL and/or civil charges against Ervin Joseph LaMie Jr..Yes, I saw VERY QUESTIONABLE ACTIVITIES INSIDE Joseph's residence. And, honestly, suspect that Joseph is either abusing (or allowing abuse) his daughter.***THANK YOU FOR POSTING YOUR STORY***I SUFFERED AS A RESULT OF Ervin Joseph LaMie Jr., BUT I WILL SURVIVE! I apologize, but I haven't checked recently to see if anyone responded to my. I'm glad you have. Initially I telephoned authorities in both Tennessee and Michigan, and reported Joseph's trip ( and what Joseph had personally told me) to his niece's house in Tennessee. (JOSEPH ACTUALLY CALLED ME DURING THE PERIOD IN WHICH MISSOURI AUTHORITIES HAD HIM DETAINED.) ALTHOUGH, my cell phone number (at that time) has since been disconnected, so I'm not sure if any authorities have tried to contact me in return. This man is HORRIABLE! I have never been more scared of someone as I am of this man! I have known of him through friends, for nearly twenty years. A friend of mine was a truck driver for him for a small time in the early 2000's. He would have to go out to some farm out in Nunica and wait outside in the snow until Mr. LaMie Jr. would show up with the driving route. This was like, really late at night, when the older people that lived in the house on that farm, was trying to sleep. Whenever he did get the route, he would make him sit and idle until he thought it was safe to go out on to the highway. I am not sure about this, or not, but I think that Mr. LaMie Jr. was doing something illegal to make his employees meet him out at some farm in the middle of the night. Something just did not seem right with him.
One night, my friend had to drive this old silver truck that looked like it would fall apart with the first snow fall. He was on a 'Milk-Run' as he called it. Not sure what that ment, because he was not allowed to ask Mr. LaMie Jr. what he was hauling. Mr. LaMie jumped all over him one night because I had taken him to work because his car was being worked on. This is what made me start to believe that he was doing something illegal. And, to bring those poor older people in on his crimes! Oh! That old man that lived in that house, was nice and all, but I think that he did not know what all was going on because Mr. LaMie would talk down to him. And the older lady that lived there got it twice fold, from what my friend said. He would talk down to her and bark orders at her. I have no idea if my friend ever found out who those old fowlkes were, but he thought they were nice enough.
My friend ended up quiting when Mr. LaMie would not pay him for his work. Told him that he owed him for a torn mud flap! What nerve! This man is crazy, scarry, horriable, unkind to the elderly and just is mean all around. (Now my momma told me not to talk unkind about people, but, Lord rest her soul, she would have to agree with me on this one!)
STAY CLEAR OF THIS MAN AND ANYTHING HE IS APART OF. HE HAS THREATED MY FRIENDS LIFE IF HE SPEAKS TO THE POLICE ABOUT HIS PAYROLL. SAID THAT HE WOULD FIND A WAY OF MAKING SURE HE WOULD NEVER SPEAK AGAIN IF HE DID!)
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
