Wells Fargo grace period

What is the purpose of a grace period? Apparently for Wells Fargo, it means nothing. Every month I go to their website and schedule my auto payment. Each time it is at least 2 days before the grace period ends, but each month I still get collection calls. I don't have an answering machine, but on my caller ID, it showed up that they had called my house 5 times in one day and on the 6th time I was at home to take the call.

I informed them each time I have spoken with them that I schedule my payments on their website so check that before calling me. I realize it is probably an auto dialer that dials the number then a live person gets on the phone, but it should be changed as to when the machine starts to call someone.

Another thing, it is no one's business at Wells Fargo as to why I use my grace period. I am never late and it is always before then end of my grace period, so to that idot that asked me that,IT IS BECAUSE I WANTED TO.

Wells Fargo wellsfargo stealing my money

Dear Sirs

My name is Makhmadullo. I have been a customer with Wellsfargo Bank since 2001. On January 16th I couldn't access my internet banking. I called Wellsfargo Bank and they told me that my accounts was on hold and will be closed on January 31. I had 11 account altogether. They told me to call to Prevention Department. I called Prevention Department and I talked with one of them called Susan and he extension number is 3879 and she told me that they will close my account on January 31st because of my history with another bank. I had over $1300 in 2 of my accounts. They told me they will send me cashier check on January 31st when they close my account. They sent me eight cashiers checks for my eight accounts with low amount of money but they didn't send me cashier check for the other 2 accounts that had over $1300 dollars in this account [protected] and $119 dollars in this account [protected]. I called prevention department again and one of the customer service told me that I owed Wellsfargo money but I had never owed Wellsfargo money. I told her to transfer me to Susan extension 3879 that I talked with her previously but she told me Susan is not here. I called many times but they continue telling me Susan is not here. They are lying me, cheating me and they want to steal my money by not sending me my $1300 dollars that I had in my account. Wellsfargo is thieves.

I really appreciate your help.

My horror started on Jan. 7, 2008 when one of Wells Fargo Auto Finance Customer Serv. Reps. called to collect Jan. payment. I do understand my payment was late but it was only days late not months. This wonderful customer service rep. took it upon herself to set up an electronic debit from my checking account on Jan. 18, 2008. This was not approved and when...

My daughter is in a dispute with DirectTV over their service that was not working and asked to get it terminated. They owed about a total of $300.00. Wells Fargo allowed DirectTV to remove $1300.00 from their account, which they did not have. When they complained to Wells Fargo, the bank replied that it is in their contract that if money is owed to DirectTV they can remove the money from their account. When informed that the money owed is excessive and not warranted Wells Fargo said it would take about 2 to 3 weeks to resolve the issue. Meanwhile I would suggest to you if you have either Wells Fargo or DirectTV I would terminate the service asap. They now do not have enough gas money or groceries to get thru the week. They informed both companies but that fell on deaf ears.

Wells Fargo fraud and cheating!

When Wachovia Bank bought out World Savings, they acquired my two CD's which were worth $10,000 each plus interest. One matured on Jan. 12, the next on Jan. 19, 08. As of Jan. 20, I still had no check on the first one and I had called to close it out on Jan. 12. When I called, I also was closing out the one on Jan. 19th and I asked where my first check was.

After much time on hold, I was told it was not sent because I had a PO Box address! I could not believe it as I have that for safety. I was told my home address would now be registered and it would be sent. It would take 7 to 10 days to arrive! I asked about priority mail and told it was $15. I asked them to enter a complaint for my lost interest on this money as I have other accounts which I am waiting to put it into. I was told they would send it priority and waive the fee.

I called again on the 21st to check it. Was told it went out first class mail instead of third class! In the meantime, this bank has had my money, interest free! I am loosing 6% with the Credit Union I belong to every day and have already purchased another CD with another bank so there is a lesser amount in my checking account now receiving the 6%. I think the Bank owes people to contact them immediately if they have a problem sending the money. I have had no trouble with on line banks, I would never do business with Wachovia again. I had a checking account with them in Florida for years. Good bye Wachovia.

on april 9th 2017 someone deposited a $1000.00 into my account, when i called wachovia on sunday i was told who made the deposit and was told since i knew the person, i should contact the person and write them a check for the $1000.00 deposit and that would clear everything up . Well that didn't happen on the 12th of april i wrote the person the check and on the 13th the check was cashed, also we were told to contact the fraud department and put a stop to the fraud complaint which he did. well on the 13th there was another $1000.00 withdrawn from my account by the bank. when we realized this i contacted the bank and was told there was nothing they could do, which i think is bull because if the bank didn't give out mis information this would have never happen. and since the banks have insurance on there money i feel they should return my money to me, i am on a fixed income and can't afford to give any one $2017.00 and i feel that the bank made the mistake and they should fix the problem.

Wachovia bank allowed us to pay two major bills and shortly afterward the same day charged us a 35 fee five times over on purchases that were made five days earlier but just happened to be collected on the same day after I paid my bills. The result was 245.00 in fees for five purchases totally only 45 dollars and a lecture on how we should have balance our checkbook better. If you swipe your card or authorize a purchase then that money should be held until collected. That means that your balance and available balance are two entirely different things. Why would the customer be penalized because some merchants collect latter than others?

I had a car loan with these *** holes, and I was behind about three months and I was told I need $3019.00 to get my account up to date. I was told to call Thomas G of the Greenbelt MD office this *** hole is in collection when I did talk with he's the one who told me to the $3019.00 and I Will be fine. O he told me to call him before I make the payment by money gram. So I tried calling him on Friday, it went right to his voice mail, I tried calling him on Saturday, it went to voicemail. I called on Monday same thing. Tuesday is when they came and repose that was about 11:00 pm. They had no plans of wanting me to make that payment, and on top of that they said that I hid my car from lol. How can I hide my car when they got it at my address, these are some snakes, low life *** holes, don't ever do business with Wachovia at all. They practice illegal tracts, so I reported them to a few government agency who are no looking into this matter. I was told that what they did was unlawful and I have a case against them. Also for the record I have never ever had a car repose in my life. They wanted me to pay the balance of the loan to get my car back which was close to $60, 000 dollars which is illegal I was told by an lawyer.

Hello everyone who has been shafted by Wachovia banks. It seems to me that Wachovia as a whole is setup to post, deposit, and transact monies in 'customer's' accounts as they please. I have now come to realize that not all overdrafts were my mathematical error. Oh and did you know that the 'On-line Banking' is only a 'tool' to help you with your money? Well it's sure nice to know that what I was looking at was a manifestation of what was actually happening with my well earned money. How come the bank has a different view of your money than what you can see from the comfort of your personal computer? Hear is my dilemma... On 4/14/08 I had exactly $59.11 in my checking account. I purchased breakfast at McDonald's -$2.12 So $59.11 -2.12 ------- $56.99 Had to have a bit of gas -$15.02 that's $56.99 -15.02 -------- $41.97 Now as you can see I have $41.97 in my account, mind you that McDonald's is in my 'Check Card Holds', but It shows deducted in my 'Available Balance'. So now I wanted to make dinner for my fiance, so I pick up a few things at my local grocery store... Well as any human being may do I spend exactly $43.64 getting food. OH NO! I have went over my balance by $1.67. But I do not panic, I simply deposit $10.00 into am ATM and feel that I have covered myself from the headache of any penalties. Not exactly. I am slammed with $35.00! Then they charge me another overdraft of $35.00! All the while I had put in the $10.00 to cover my little overage of $1.67, Wachovia charged me $70.00 for this slight overage! I really feel that the bank manipulated the monies being deposited and posted to benefit Wachovia. And when I went to the bank to dispute my case the bank manager printed out a copy of how my money was received which was not the order that I had spent it in. Even my fiance who is an Electrical Engineer could not decipher the terminology and jumping from 'Available' and 'Holds' math that the bank man was doing. Wow do they go to school to learn how to work numbers to screw people out of the money they trust banks to keep safe?

Wachovia bank which is by bank currently until the rest of my checks are cleared will no longer be my bank of choice. I received $140.00 worth of overdraft fees. I made three purchases with my debit card from Monday-Wednesday. All these purchases were under $40.00. The purchase totaled about $30.00, which would of left me with a $10.00 balance. I was getting a direct deposit on Friday, which was good so I wasn't worried. I wrote a check and send it out and unfortunately it cleared on Friday. I take responsibility for that. I did not think it would of cleared since I sent it out on Thursday. Wachovia had the three prior purchases pending, but they did not clear them from my total balance, for a reason I don't understand. However when the check for $173.00 cleared so did the other three purchases. Wachovia cleared the 173.00 first and then the other three. The say that is their policy which is very Ridiculous! You clear the highest amount first to benefit your company, but what about your customers and what is that saying about Customer Satisfaction. This company is saying they really don't care about you as long as they get your money and then some. So that left me with 4 overdraft charges which are $35.00 each. I called the 1-800-WACHOVIA number and talked to them telling them that the three prior purchases were made earlier in the week and why did they only process them after the check cleared. No answers that made any sense or showed me that they cared even the slightest was given to me. Be warned this bank is unbelievable and they are absolutely horrible.

In Nov.2017 I opened a free checking/savings account with WACHOVIA BANK with the intention of transferring funds and converting from Banks. I decided later not to change Banks and to maintain my funds with my current checking and savings Bank account. Normally a Bank account is automatically considered closed if their is no activity by the account holder in 6 month's. Although, WACHOVIA all of a sudden started sending me bill notice's in Aug.2017 for the amount of $1, 251.08 with no explanation for the charge's. This left me with no idea for the bill notice's, especially since I had never utilized the checking or saving's service's nor had I made any deposit amount's. I had not stepped back into the WACHOVIA BANK since the opening of my free checking/savings accounts, nor did I ever make any type of deposit to the account.

This gave me incentive to investigate the whole situation which after going through the red tape with WACHOVIA BANK I came to find out that anyone who has your account number can attempt to withdrawal from your account and if the funds are not available then your automatically charged a fee. This is by far the most non-customer oriented way for the Bank to easily collect funds from there customers of course if it's legal. Of course if by any chance WACHOVIA BANK can legal take customer's hard earned money by charging for inefficient funds then if you read between the lines it says their 1st priority is not there customer's.

I have had my checking accout with this bank location since 1977. It has switched names several times and is now Wachovia Bank for the past several years. My account number has never changed...I also have had the same job for 17 years and direct deposit for most of that time. Wachovia Bank does everything within their power to cause a overdraft on your account. They will charge you an overdraft on an overdraft. In this past month, the bank has charged me $325.00 in overdraft fees. This started because they cleared a large check first and bounced 5 smaller checks causing overdraft on each one of $35.00 each. When calling the bank, all you get is well that is how its done.
Service is really poor and they don't even treat you like a human, your just a number. I guess it is a bank for the rich...definetely not the everyday working class people. Just yesterday I was charged a $35.00 fee on a over draft payment that goes thru the bank for $10.00. The list goes on and on and on. Unless you are rich, , , , , , stay away from Wachovia...

Shame on you my vice president of my company had approached you over thirty days ago when he noticed about thirteen hundred dollars missing from his account. Your bank gave him the run around of this number and you cannot help him he had to fill out forms and hit should be thirty days well thirty days were up and now your story is it could be forty five or longer, you are waiting to hear back from the other company.

Um excuse me the bank account belongs to your client the one the money is missing out of not the thief. Whats next we have to start all over again because you did not hear back from the thief and by golly they have more rights then we do? isn't this FDIC which means bonded and protected.

Call me crazy but who are you protecting. I have had enough as my job to refer people to great banks i choose Bank of America they put the money back into your account while doing the investigation and they actually get it done in thirty days! True heroes! So bottom line do not trust wachovia! I wouldn't.

Wachovia is horrible! if you dont have enough money in ur acct they overdraft u and charge u $35. ok im fine with that of course if im aware of it! i had $68 in my acct. in the view holds option i didnt see any pending orders so to me that means that nothing else is going to be taking off my acct. ok so i did 3 separate orders at snapfish.com for 2.06 each. then i ordered soemthing at the lakeside.com for $15. i had a total of $50 in my overdraft protection acct linked with my checkings acct. so now watch wat they did! they never updated the wachovia.com website so i wasnt aware of anythin bcuz all of the things i did purchase before the things i just listed were already on the list as "processed" purchases but the bank never deducted the money off the acct. so the 3 orders to snapfish and 1 order to lakeside is a total of 4 transactions so they CHARGED me $35 times 4= $140! then they transfer the $50 to my checkings which is fukin crazy bcuz it would of been enough to cover those 4 transactions. then all of that $50 is gone used to pay for part of their overdraft fee then something pops up on my acct from liek 8days ago for 4.95 and then thats another $35...

another time ... i get direct deposit on thursdays so usually i stay up wed night till 12 to see if the deposit went thru. usually by 12:15 its there. ok so now i have $438 on my acct so i go to withdraw $20 and to get some stuff at the gas station and put gas in the car. mind u when i call and check online it is saying that i have 438..right? so the next day i check my acct (i check it everyday) and i see they are charging me overdraft fee $105! i call them and ask them wat da hell is goin on. the stupid lady tells me i didnt have money in my acct. i kept asking her y is it that i got charged wen i heard my balance and she could not give me an answer! then i told her sign me up for overdraft protection.. and here goes another story

i have $98 in overdraft and i overdraft my acct and the overdraft doesnt even do anythin so i get charged 210 by them. i called and no one could help until i demanded to speak to a manager who transfered me to some lady that refunded me back the 210 plus the 105! and some other things when i 1st open my acct..

sometimes when u deposit money into ur acct u cant access ur money until the next DAY! thats horribleee

i hate this bank with all my heart. citi bank is the best bank ever! my acct has been overdraft $8 for 3months and they haven't charged me ANYTHING!

There were $204 of fraudulent charges on my bank statement. Not only did I not receive a refund, the bank blocked my use of the atm card. This was a new atm card recently issued by the bank. I recently cut up the previous card, and don't have any reason to believe that either card was stolen. I think the bank wrote up the fake charges to rip me off. That's why I am considering changing to a different bank.

Wells Fargo representatives rude harassing!

When i received the call, there was silence and then a voice said loudly, HELLO, i said, HELLO, she said, Is this Tamika, I responded yes... I could tell that this was not going to go well. Here we go, I received a call today about 11:45 a/m. CST from a collections representative in regards to an amount of $800.00 being past due on my car note 33 days. I informed her that $380.00 was paid by Money Gram 1/18/2008 and $200.00 was set up online Sunday for the total December loan of $571.00. She informed me that she did not care about the $200 until she saw the payment post, my account was still in collections. I asked if I could give her the online confirmation #, she said that it did not matter until the payment posts I would remain in collections. She asked why I was late, I informed her that I did not have the money right then and where was the car located. Trying to intimidate me, i asked if she was going to pick up the car, she said no. She asked did I get hours cut at work or something like that, I told her no. She screamed at me why don't you have the money. I am a very personal person and i don't offer information to strangers at all.

I lost my cousin, more like my brother on New Year's Eve and I was out of town for almost 2 weeks. I am just now starting to get things together. She put me on hold and came back to inform me that I was not eligible for an extension... first of all, I did not ask for an extension. She then went on to say that I will still be in collections for the January payment (due 1/19) today is 1/22. She asked when I would be able to pay it, I gave her a date and she asked very sarcastically, "Well is next months payment going to be on time?" I politely said "I hope so", thanked her for calling and hung up.

I know these people have jobs to do, but I am in collections and I know that you can get more with respect than you can with disrespect and spiteful attitudes. I am tired of this and called today to see if I can trade in my car or have my credit union to refinance.

Wells Fargo financial called inquireing if we would like to refinance our FHA home loan, they took out money from our bank account for a appriasal the same day we first visited them. We did not procede any further with them and they have refused to return our money. They didn't do the appriasal. I went out to their office to try and get our money back and recieved the run around, from the staff there and was threatened with forceable removal. This office is in Gresham, Oregon. I would avoid any business dealing with this financial instution.

I completely agree with you that they are a bunch of rude idiots (that's the "happy version"). They, too, call us 20 times a day. They were even rude to our 8 year old. What they said to me was "you're through talking and you WILL make a dopsit to cover this!". Even though it's a bank error and I said as much to which the woman, her name is Chandra, started LAUGHING! I can't believe that a compant that is a global company has people that act so unprofessional (again that's the "happy version"). We don't answer the phone when it's them either. Plus, I left EVERY call ont he caller ID. I would suggest that you do what we have done, file a complain with your attorney general for your state. I did with my state, plus the state the calls are originating from, which is Oregon. Everyone I've talked to since, has left WF. I would suggest everyone else do the same. the employees that work for WF have an IQ of 3 and have the intelligence of a doorknob (that's being generous). I wish you luck!

These are the rudest most obnoxious people I have ever had the displeasure of attempting to speak with in my life. I affixed my signature to a contract of purchase for a used vehicle for my grand daughter's fiance. He, of course, turned out to be a bum who would not keep a job so I wound up making most of the payments. That is until my funds were wiped out. I tried sending e-mails telling them I could no longer pay and asking them to forward instructions as to the disposition of the vehicle. They would not discuss it via e-mail - while demanding that I call such and such a number. Even though I tried to explain that I am 83 years old, wear two hearing aids and find it very difficult to hold a phone conversation. I tried calling a couple of times but the screaming, yelling and total disrespect was more than I would tolerate. I refused to try to talk to this bunch of idiots and would not answer my phone even though they still call 25-30 times each day. Thank God for caller ID. In addition I had a wellsfargo credit card which they cancelled. I tried to continue my online payments on this card but guess what? They locked me out of online access to the account and would not unlock it so that I can make any payments. They insist that I call one of their half-witted collectors so that I can be insulted yet again. When I told them via e-mail that I would not call and that I would not answer a call from them, almost as soon as they received my message I received a call from a 'lady' who left this message "I know you do not want to talk to me Mr. Huddleston, but you WILL talk to me. There are responsibilities that you must take care of" and then the phone number that I MUST call. This person, quite obviously, less intelligent than a goat, telling ME about responsibility? Get a life lady. Last I heard there are no longer any debtor's prisons in this country so what will you do, take away my recess?

Bottom line. I would advise anyone who is anticipating any type of business with a financial institution to take a loooong detour around any Wells Fargo facility. That is unless they revel in misery.

Wells Fargo scam and fraud!

I was on the Wachovia website wanting to give positive feedback to a Wachovia Employee. I found on the Wachovia website which stated the following. Senior staff members may not need quite so much praise and encouragement over learning new skills, but they emphatically do need praise and encouragement for their effort and commitment. Most employees, and indeed most bosses, feel that they do not get enough meaningful positive feedback. Everyone would benefit greatly from more thoughtful and clear interactions of this kind. Here is the link. Toward bottom of page.
http://www.wachovia.com/small_biz/page/0,,447_972_1695_1946_1963,00.html

I called Wachovia to give a District Manager a positive employee performance appraisal. I only have a free checking account so I only get 2 free 'ACCOUNT INQ PERSON TO PERSON' calls per month. Each additional one is $2

Banking Definitions - http://www.allbusiness.com/glossaries/banking/4941812-1.html
Definition of Account Inquiry - request for a copy of an individual's account history.
Definition of account history - summary of a deposit account's activity, including interest earned, during a particular period.

This call had nothing to do with an ACCOUNT INQ yet I am charged $2 for this. I feel good about what I did and was also told this appraisal would go to the president of Wachovia.

But being charged $2 for this? Do I feel ripped off? Absolutely!

I opened a free checking account with Wachovia last year. It says there's no minimum required and no fees. I was told that I can check my bank activities online. So download my transactions as I do my other banks. I moved some money to my other banks and then I found I got a service fees of $5.95, which made my account overdrawn. Since it was less than a dolloar, I didn't persist on waiting after an hour of being on hold on the phone... A statement came after that saying that I got charged $5.95 again. And when I finally got through to someone, they said I had used their service to download to my Quickens, and therefore I need to pay for it, and it is automatically billed every month. I absolutely do not recall having agreed to pay for such service, as my other banks don't charge for that. Wachovia's reply was that Bof A does! How do I feel? Either there's some fine print that I didn't read when I click the download page, or they are set up to purposefully deceive you! And get this, I told them I'd like to close the account, I was told that I'd have to pay the balance. A statement came after that, and I was charged another $40 since Wachovia had closed my account for it being overdrawn. OVERDRAWN BY WHOM? I feel like Wachovia is ripping me off 3 times!

A few days later, I got a statement for collecting debt, with Wachovia being the creditor! I called Wachovia today saying that I did not authorize to have my account closed, I was transfered to another line, and then put on hold, with a message saying how important your call is to them, and an agent will be with you shortly- I waited and waited, then half an hour past. I put it on speakerphone, so I could do some dishes, I then cleaned the kitchen, and responded to all my 12 emails. Still, I was on hold... 'our agents are busy assisting other customers'... 'your call is very important to us'... It was almost 3 hours, until I suppose their recording when out. Such GREAT customer service!

So I'm telling everyone now, stay away from Wachovia. If there's a class action sue against them, count me in.

Spoke wto (3) different customer service REPS today, to resolve an erroneous Billing matter. Did not get a single professional person. All 3 were rude, dismissive, condescending and would not listen to the customer's issues. Their tactic is to repeat the same sentence over and over again, without listening or trying to resolve anything. One of them ...mid-conversation, without coming up with a solution, decided to say "ok thank you for calling wells fargo... OKAY..thank you for calling wells fargo ...good bye" - MID-conversation! Who can we complain to? Is there a fax/email contact for the Phoenix Auto Lease department?

i'm upset because i pay my car note by phone it makes it easier for me. ok well, around august i get a call about i haven't paid my car note. when i did ok miss i see we recieved it on let's say the 22nd when i paid for it earlier . well that doesnt matter now they have put me in the collection department calling my mom and me from 8 am to sometimes9:30pm 5 different numbers and no ones giving the same info.so i decided to call the lady was so rude if i had had any money in your bank i would withdrawl every pennie or dollar i promise! long story straight so i call one of the right numbers and talk to 5 different people so god bless this one lady who sent me a statement. but why should i send wells fargo my info when nobody can seem to get it right so you decide that you just going to add this payment on to me making it 2 or 3 months max like i'm not paying for this and call me and my mom mon-sun 8-9:30 when my money is limited and my bank is helping me pay this and when i have to pay them back plus insf fees because of someones calculations. the result is this late fees and 10 fee to pay by phone/ get off the gas and you want even send me my letters that i use to get lying saying that they are sending it and i never see nothing but a bill .the point someone messed up and i have to pay and your not going to refund my bank account . no cause i ask a stupid credit yea right and i decide i don't want the car . that's my money, and bank account you messing with and you want even take it out right any more you use to be pretty good the problem now you figure it out

i'm out before i get mad all over again

We have had nothing but problems with these people. Something has got to be done. We have had them take payments from our checking account which has caused us to pay a lot of overdrafts and non sufficent funds all without being authorized. The list goes on and on.

Wells Fargo was the first company to offer a loan payment i could afford on a new truck. LIFE WAS GREAT!!! Or so i thought. Three days before the payment was due, they began calling me 4-5 times a day. When they finally caught me home, they wanted to know where the money was. My response to them was 'Check your incoming mail,' 'I mailed the payment to the...

Wells Fargo scam and rip off!

On January 14th I went to Wachovia on the corner of NorthLake Blvd. & Military Trail to cash a check a customer gave me and the bank charged me $5.00 because I did not have an account with them. This is a RIP OFF of the public, for what reason should I be charged? The person owed me the money and gave me a check (no Problem) except for the bank, If the person didn't have the funds in the bank they wouldn't cash it anyway, why the $5.00 fee?

I am going to write the banking and insurance commission on this. How about this happening a few thousand times a day? Who pockets the money? This is a Real American consumer RIP OFF.

I work for a bank and we dont charge people to cash other peoples checks that have a account with us, but the reason that the other banks do that is because they sometimes have to charge fees. Your bank probabaly does the same thing, so get over it.

This is indeed a rip off. I don't have a Wachovia account and when I went to cash a $75 dollar check given to me by my father, they tried to charge me that $5 fee. This was the very same branch that my father uses, and puts money into on a weekly basis, so I know it doesn't cost them $5 to simply deduct the money from his account. A bank should cash their own checks plain and simple. Wachovia issues those checks and they shouldn't charge people a fee to cash them at their bank. It's just greedy and unethical. You couldn't pay me to open an account with Wachovia now.

My mother bought a van and my girlfriend acted as cosigner. But immediately, Wells Fargo switched the buyer and cosigner. So now, my girlfriend has a $30,000 van on her credit and is unable to even get a new credit card. We faxed the original contract to Wells Fargo 3times (once from within the bank) and they claim that they can't change the buyer/cosigner...

Wells Fargo bank reversed a credit and i'm overdrawn!

I used a $13000 balance transfer from American Express and deposited into my Wells Fargo Credit Line. On 12/20/2007 the funds showed on the Credit Line as "available". I used WF's online system to transfer that money to my WF Checking Account. Again, the funds showed as "available" in that account. I transferred those funds to my WF Stock Brokerage Account, and of course, they showed as "available". On 12/24/2007 WF REVERSED the credit from my Checking Account and also removed the credit from my Credit Line. They did not contact me nor send me any notice of their actions. Those actions caused my Checking Account to become $7000 overdrawn, and they charged me 3 separate Overdraft Fees of $34 each. I immediately called a representative who said she would "investigate" the matter, but she never contacted me. I called again (on 12/24) and that representative also told me she would "investigate". I spoke to a manager who said he would "investigate". To this day (12/31/2007) no one has contacted me, and now a Bill Payment has been rejected and I have no funds available to me. What do I do now? My Credit Line and my Checking Account are useless since that $13000 has "disappeared". WF is the ONLY bank that I have ever been overdrawn with, and only because of their absurd practices. Please don't give them the privilege of using your money, there are a LOT of great banks out there. (I filed a complaint w/the BBB today... let's see what happens...).

Wells Fargo scam and cheating!

I have two loans with Wells Fargo, both at 20.90% interest rates. I had some personal issues for a bout a month, and was not able to make any payment to them during that time. I kept in communication with them, called and got on a payment arrangement for hardship plan. I held up my end of the bargain, and was told come Jan 2008 my payments would be back to 135.00 a month, and my accounts would be current. Then I get harassing , non stop calls from the collections dept, the day after my last payment posted on this plan, and they had the nerve to tell me, THEY MESSED UP, because i was never eligible for that plan, that my credit with them wasn't that outstanding. But they said since I held up my end of the deal, they would send an email to their management, to get my account current. O.k. fine.

The next morning 12/31/07, starting at 9am, these people are calling non stop, hanging up on me when I call. I called them, spoke to a very ignorant person, who told me the calls would continue , until they fixed the problem. EXCUSE ME! I said, (by this time I am irate, have the flu, and cannot do stupid today at all)... this is your mistake, my account shows I have held up my end, and my next payment regardless if they fix or not is not due until 01/22/08! o why am I getting the harassing phone calls, I want to talk to a manager now!... The collection agent asked me why? I told him because he isn't understanding the issue I have I want a manager now... he said "CALL BACK THAN! BECAUSE I WON'T GET A MANAGER FOR THIS!... and hung up.

So in the meantime I will be fighting this with WELLS FARGO FINANCIAL... UNTIL RESOLVED... because they are so unprofessional, and ignorant. I am just in shock over this phone call and want everyone to know what kind of scam this bank is.

Thanks,
Alicia from Colorado

I have ammo for you! They cancelled my checking account in 9/2006 because the "assumed" that I was kiting checks - then turned me into the DA bad check unit because the checks I had written wouldnt' clear - yet they wouldn't let me put money in or out of that account. After having several collection company contact me I thought that it was just a charge off - WRONG. I had a warrant out for my arrest - this was 6/08. So I went into the DA and paid them almost twice as much than I owed. Today is 10/20/09 and yesterday I received a letter from the collection company again stationg that I owe $432. WTF! The DA's office told me that it was illegal to collect from them and turn me into a collection agency but I have no idea what to do now.

Wells Fargo sherrif sale!

I purchased a home on a land contract back in March 2006. At that time there was no lens on the house except the one I had from my company I was buying my home. I found an investor or so I thought that lowered my interest rate. I paid him $22,000 up front and house payments, kept insurance on the home and did a lot of maintenance. I found out about February of 2007 that the house was being foreclosed on by Wells Fargo who had gotten Home Eq to service the loan. We constantly called Home Eq, Wells Fargo and their attorneys who refused to tell us anything regarding the loan that we had no idea about. In October we finally got Power of Attorney so we could talk. We tried to get a loan to buy the house but they were asking more than what it was worth. So we had to put more money in the house so it would appraise higher. We did that but because of the time it took to get the house to appraise higher they now state it is over the 30 days and they are not giving us any more time. As of yesterday a Sheriff showed up at my door for a sheriff sale for 1/9/08 at 10am. Yet we were almost done with the loan before christmas. The house is deeded in our name and they are lein holders. We've asked them to work with us as we have 4 children and no where to go. I'm afraid we will loose our children for being homeless and having nobody to go to. We have begged them to work with us and they keep saying we will see you in court. They have the attorneys and all we have is our children and paper work. Who do you think will win? Certainly not the people who did nothing wrong. Their is no holiday spirit out there anymore. Banks are out there to take advantage of the innocent people. In the time that they have been attacking us and trying to throw a family of 6 out of their home they could be prosecuting the guy who took the loan out on the house in the first place and scammed people. That would be the appropriate and right thing to do instead of hurting people who have done nothing wrong but have begged and pleaded for the bank to work with us. We are still wanting help and are still willing to pay for our home.

Wells Fargo wells fargo lied about my credit score and my whole loan

About 2 years ago, my mom and I bought a house together. She also co-signed for a new car for me in 2005. Last Sept. my mom when to Wells Fargo and applied for a mortgage loan so she could get the house out of my name. Due to the fact that her debt to income ratio was off, Wells fargo contacted me about financing my car that my mom co-signed for into just my name. I applied for the loan and got approved. When my husband and I went in to go over the details of the loan, it came out that the interest rate was 19.99%. When I asked why they told me that my credit score was only 480 and I couldn't get a lower interest rate. I asked to see a copy of my credit report and he told me that he was unable to show me due to Wells Fargo policies. When my husband and I were about to turn down the loan and leave, the loan officer said that if i didn't take the loan there was no way for them to get my mom's house into just her name. A couple of days after signing the loan, I was notified that they were unable to get my mother approved and that I was going to be stuck with the house plus a 19.99% interest rate. A year has gone by and I recently looked at my credit score and realized that it has gone up about 150 points. I decided to call Wells fargo and ask them what my credit score was when I got approved a year ago. One of the loan officers told me it was 645, another loan officer told me it was 680, and then the manager said it was 580. Whatever it may be, it was no where near 480 like I was told. A loan officer also told me my interest rate was because of how much negative equity I have financed. He also went on to say that my loan was approved on the fact that they were able to finance my mom's house out of my name. In my opinion, my whole loan is a lie and based on false information. I would have NEVER signed the loan for 19.99% when my orginal loan was only for 11%, if I was told the truth about the details of my loan. After researching complaints about Wells Fargo online, I have found that there are many other people that were told that their credit score was low was it really wasn't!

I happened to "google" Wells Fargo cheating customers and was referred to this site. After reading the comments by others, I am convinced not to do business with Wells Fargo.
Over the past few years, my father sends a check for Christmas and B day. This thoughtful gesture had no major issues, since it was a US bank account, with US currency...in a well reputable Canadian Bank. In January of this year (2008), both US currency checks from both family members were returned to me by Wells Fargo with a brief message that I could no longer use the deposit ATM at the bank, I had to actually see a teller. Which of course, they never know what to do and have to get someone else, everyone in the bank looks at me like I am some criminal...which is why I started going to the ATM onsite with Wells in the first place. So after some teenager verified I wasn't pulling some Nigerian scam, deposited the checks into my account..case closed. Now this past week, I went into a Wells Fargo bank to deposit a $100 check from the National..same US account. They do it (it took 3-4 times to train the same branch) and tell me that I should NOT have been charged the $1.50 fee as before since there was no currency exchange. On May 28th, the amount showing was deposited, on May 30th, they withdrew the money back out, and stated on my account as "Fgn Check Adj.", so I guess dear ol'Dad sending $100 has now cost me $101.50 in total. I made calls, the first guy named Glen, hung up. The second person was unable to do anything and they took the fee but never gave me the "foreign" US cash from Canada. By the way, there was no issue of insufficient funds for Wells to try and pull that scam. So, we have to wait until Monday for my father to go to his bank and see whether he even got his cash back from Wells Fargo...hopefully those idiots sent it back in US currency!
At what point does the Federal Government get off their rear end and start placing some laws and control over banks such as Wells Fargo who are becoming more of an immediate threat to our daily lives.
