Wells Fargo double charged my bank account

I called customer service at approx 5:00 pm on 11/8/2011 and spoke to a “steve” as he refused to give me his last name I cannot provide it here. I explained that my account had been charged doubly for my monthly car payment as well as a couple of other credit card payments. I asked how this occured. He explaine that it was my fault in some detail. I explained what had occured when I was asked to go in and verify my bill pay set up when the switchover occured from Wachovia to Wells Fargo.

I explained that the dates were detailed on the page showing when a guarantor would receive payment based on my send date. I adjusted the dates to take into that account so I wouldn’t be late on my payments. Therefore I ended up double paying on my bills. I asked him why he hadn’t explained this step when he “told” me what I had actually done. He told me “rather impertantly” that it was a manual modification that I chose to do. I explained that based on what I was seeing on the screen and the dates being displayed that I didn’t think I had a choice.

He was rude and condescending in his tone and his manner. I explained that I would like his name and I wanted to close out my accounts if I couldn’t count on WF not to double charge me. He refused to give me his name at all and told me the call was being recorded. I said “good – then you should understand good customer service and that is when a customer ask you something such as your name or to speak to your supervisor that you should comply”.

He continued to run around in circles telling me that he would explain and answer my question … I said ok .. what is your name … this went on for some time and to no avail. He finally buckled and told me his name was Steve … again I asked for his last name and/or his supervisor. He continued to circle around the question and was extremely rude. He finally told me he would get a supervisor … that took quite a bit of time. A gentlemen came on and in a very deep tone said … something to the effect of … “yes … can I help you”.

I began to explain about the bill pay miss understanding and got only a couple of sentences in and I was cut off. The loud beeping in my ear was the signal that your organization has some very poor customer service. So this “Steve” was incredibly rude … I truly believe that the supervisor “whom did not give a name” was a fake. I will be taking my business elsewhere as soon as I can. I am very disappointed in your organization and most importantly in your shoddy customer service.

Wells Fargo - home preservation help

We've been trying to get help from a " Home Preservation Specialist" for over 2 months. We sent in an application which we found out was NEVER filed. The woman assigned to us (Latoya Freeman) never returned our phone calls. We've called them numerous times and have talked to a different person each time. We've now been put into FORECLOSURE status while...

Wells Fargo misrepresentarion

At one time I had 7 accounts with "Hells Fargo". If I missed a payment I would receive numerous calls often within the same day. They would tell me how they hadn't received a payment in 2-3 months. My wife does the bookkeeping and when I toldh her, she would show just a payment was missed not numerous as they complained. I have paid off all but 2of my accounts. In 2006 I refinanced my house in hope of getting away from "Hell's Fargo" I got them again with 9% interest rate. Recently I was medically retired. My wife tried to deal with them, however the lies continued. She was told to skip a payment then we would qualify for a loan modification . "Hells Fargo" then reniged on what they had promised.and then said that the payment would be dealt with at the end of the loan We caught up with the payments, however now they are misplacing my payments. This bank is not too big to fail, as it needs to.

Wells Fargo line of credit fee

I continue to be charged for LINE OF CREDIT...called Wells Fargo was told...they could not remove my line of credit, I had signed a contract with them when I opened my account...WRONG...my original account was with Wachovia which Wells Fargo took over a couple of years ago.
This is wrong...I have never used my line of Credit in the 19 years that I had an account with Wachovia now Wells Fargo. Guess we all need to put our monies in a Jar and bury in the backyard!

Yes! This happened to me as well - accounts set up in 1983 (First Union?). After the Wells Fargo transition, I have attempted to close the account numerous times and they are still assessing annual fees. The "ghost" credit line account is not visible on my on-line statements nor do I have a credit card, yet I owe them $105.99 for the past 4 years. I have written documentation of these requests and it is like talking to a wall. I am preparing to move my business elsewhere, but wondering if this is intent / fraudulent.

Wells Fargo atm's not dispursing money

I go every weeks to get my money off of my unemployment card at the wells fargo atm cause there is no fee since they are issued by wells fargo. This is the second time I went to go get the money and the atm did not disperse the money to me. The last time the atm realized that I did not get the money and it credited the money back to my card. This time it time the atm tried to disperse the money and it did not but it gave me a receipt saying that the machine gave me the money. So I go and talk to the counter at wells fargo and they say we don't service our atm so you need to call this 800 number to wells fargo. I called the number right after it happened and they transferred me to someone that took all of the information about the atm and the receipt that it gave me said that they hop to have it resolved and credited back within 24-48 hrs but they said if I were you I would call the unemployment card and file a claim there too so that we (Meaning well';s fargo) get the issue from two ends and hopefully gets resolved quicker. The next day I called the number back to check the status and they are telling me that they can not do anything for me that I have to file a complaint through the unemployment card since I do not have an account with wells fargo they cant help me. Even though the cards are issued through wells fargo they cant help me cause I don't have a personal account with them. This company is so jacked it insane. I would never open an account with wells fargo and will make sure that I spread the news that I would never recommend opening an account at well fargo...

Wells Fargo title to car not revived

I payed off my vehicle over 2 months ago. I called almost 3 weeks ago to find out where my title was . At that point I was informed that it was mailed, but had been returned to them and the had mailed it out again. I asked them to verify the address it was sent to. They had it correct, so I was told to wait 10 business days for it to arrive. Today I called them back and I was told that they no longer have the title and now I have to wait 3 days for them to send me a letter with a seal on it. Then it will be 10 days for it to travel through the mail. I asked if I could have it mailed to a bank branch and was informed that they could send it, but I had to contact the bank to make arrangements for someone thee to hold it for me, so I declined the offe. They never contacted me when the mail was returned to them, and they do not send these out with any sort of tracking number, just regular mail. So, when it gets lost, it's YOUR problem! Terrible and irresponsible customer sevice!

Whythelongfaces-They can control the mail, it's called a tracking number. They're just too cheap to use one. The bank will not deal with this because the are "two separate entities". The state DMV will not accept the payoff papers, so I have to wait another three weeks for a special letter with a seal on it to be mailed to me.

Wells Fargo auto finance

In 2007 my husband and I got a car from a dealership that was financed through wells fargo. Before we signed the paperwork we informed wells fargo that we were going overseas for a few years with the military. They told us we could take it with us as long as we had our first payment made. A couple days after the first payment we called to have them fax the paperwork so we could take the car (this is the day before we fly). They then said we had to make six months worth of payments first. So we put the car into storage with my brother and gave the company their name and address so they knew where the car was. Six months later my mother in law starts getting harrassing phone calls. I call them from overseas and they tell me that our payments are up to date and there is no problem with the account. This process goes on for 4 months. Then we hear nothing. Almost a year later a repo guy shows up and threatens my mother in law with jail and violence if she doesn't produce the car. I call again from overseas and wells fargo tells me they can't find my account. They take my information for the 7th time and say they will call me back. I hear nothing, This goes on for almost another year. This whole time they are sending my payments back to my bank and not accepting them but not telling me this. Finally they threaten my mother in law and actually scared her. So I called them they finally found it and said it was up for repo because I never made a payment. I was tired of their crap so I voluntarily surrendered it in 2010. 6 months after we get back into the states, they call my mother in law again and this time threaten to have my husband and myself arrested when we get off the plane and have our children taken away. By this time they have had the car almost 9 months and have already sold it. I told them they had the car and they left us alone. Now two years later they are calling my husband at work and saying he owes $8000 left on the car. But yet we haven't heard from them in two years. They even told his boss that he refuses to talk to them but we haven't heard from them once. Isn't there something I can do about this?

Being overseas I would look online and it would show the payments were coming out, however the finance had given us the wrong account number so 2 weeks later the money was being sent back to me.I never thought to check for a deposit from them and when I talked to wells fargo our account didn't have any notices about the money being sent back.

Wells Fargo claims that we authorized a withdrawl via phone to take over $350.00 out of my account. I have a family of six and in no way have that amount of money just sitting around. I did not authorize such an act and do not know what to do.

According to the FDCPA rulings, you cannot divulge any information to a third party concerning debt collections. Also, if you as a debt collector are instructed to refrain from contacting a debtor at his or her place of employment you must cease and desist. I work at a financial institution. YES IT IS!

Who are you to kick a person while they are down? Really? I don't know how to help you, but it is illegal for a debt collector to contact you at work if you tell them not to. Also, it is illegal for them to tell your husband's boss anything pertaining to your debts. It is a breach of privacy. Threaten them with a lawsuit and I bet they stop.

Wells Fargo unfair practices and regulations!

Im done with this bank!

I have been a loyal customer for 6 years and my story is the true definition of horror! First off my account was cleaned out in december 2011 by someone who managed to steal my check book. After filing numerous complaints, and affidavits, and having spent the only money I had faxing the signed affidavit back to them, they denied my request to refund me my money claiming I was negligent. As a result I have not been able to pay rent for months now and face eviction!

It gets worse! As a last resort I begged a family member to wire transfer me some money under the assumption my account was still open for I never received notice that it would be closed. After the wire transfer was sent, I called wells fargo customer service to see how long the transfer would take and they rudely informed me that I would not be receiving the transfer for they had closed my account. This was done with absolutely no prior warning either by mail, email or phone. Furthermore to open a new account so as to receive the transfer, I was told I must first pay them for an overdraft incurred when the money was first stolen! Despite the rude agent, I kindly requested if they could open an account with the negative balance and once the transfer was sent again the overdraft would be taken care of. The agent rudely said "no way" this was possible and I would first have to pay the overdraft. Keep in mind that all my money and savings had been stolen! I have never been more furious in my entire life! Not only do I now face eviction, I have had no money for months thus no food! I have had to rely on food banks for meals!

I am done being a wells fargo customer and have advised all my family members (20 in all) who have wells fargo accounts to close their accounts and move to other banks. My advice to anyone reading this, do not do business with wells fargo! You could loose everything!

The exact same thing happened to some friends I know and they BOTH GOT THERE MONEY BACK! They were NOT with Wells Fargo and were way more "negligent" than I was and yet their bank understood and returned to them whatever was taken! What makes Wells Fargo soooooooo special and different than these two banks!

Putting more money into the account WAS the ONLY way and the fastest way I could receive any help/funds. IM THAT DESPERATE! Try not eating for days and see what you would do! After reporting the matter to the police all they did was take my statement and inform me that they would contact me if their investigations lead to an arrest. I have not heard a word back from them!

You lost your checkbook but its the banks fault? As soon as that happened you should have marched over to wells fargo and closed your account and open a new one. What did you think the person was going to do with the stolen checks? Frame them?

Wells Fargo kelly crutsinger

I am a Realtor and I have worked with many loan officers over the years. Kelly Crutsinger at Wells Fargo is by far the worst I have ever had to work with. She made promises to our mutual client that she knew she couldn't uphold, and then made excuses for the next 8 weeks when she couldn't deliver. She even went so far as to refer me to her manager, who called the client liars. I can't imagine how she is still a mortgage officer, she's awful at her job and has terrible people skills.

Wells Fargo hamp

I have a Wells Fargo Mortgage. It's been a tough year. I was unemployed and I went through a difficult divorce and reached out to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage for some assistance. Since I was unemployed I qualified for assistance in their Unemployment program. After just a couple of months I found a job and I then applied for their Home Affordable Modification Program. From the beginning it was full disclosure that I would be ordered by the Courts to pay alimony as part of my divorce. You can use alimony as income, and was led to believe by their "specialist" that once the divorce was finalized we could send the update to the underwriters and make the adjustment. I submitted the underwriters my new adjusted taxable income, but they wouldn't use that and insisted on using my gross income. As a result, they save me $200 a month! I'm now I must short sell the home because I just can't afford it and also pay my alimony. But wait, there is more! Throughout the process I made every payment that was part of each program. The payment amounts were less than the mortgage and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage release those authorized short payments to the credit rating system and have trashed my credit rating! It's so bad, that every credit card has cancelled my accounts. My application for a rental unit was also declined! This has been an absolute personal disaster...all to save $200 a month. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is simply controlled by computer algorithms that they don't even understand all in the pursuit of creating derivatives that they can sell for a profit. Shame on you...

Wells Fargo false advertising

Recently, I applied for a personal loan to consolidate credit card debt, through Wells Fargo Bank, based on their advertisement online, to provide relatively low interest personal loans for the exact purpose I was looking for. I have good credit, make a good salary, and have been with the same employer for 24 years. I had also recently payed off my car loan through Wells Fargo early. Despite all these facts, this bank turned me down. They are sending me a letter to explain why, although quite frankly, nothing in that letter can justify not approving this loan. This is further proof, that banks in general, collaborate together, to intentionally keep the consumer in as a high of debt as possible. The whole banking industry is corrupt, and needs to restructured to help, and not hurt the consumer. Needless to say, my debts will be payed off, and I will never use this bank again.

There are many facts that need to be investigated. I understand that you said you cannot afford to retain an attorney. However, many attorneys who practice consumer protection law will take your case on a contingency basis if your case is strong. In your particular situation, I think it's probably wise to retain one.

Wells Fargo mortgage: hispanic discrimination

I have contacted Wells Fargo Home Mortgage (no less than 6 times) on of 01/08, 15, 22, and 02/01/2012 about my Mortgage Loan #: XXXXXXXXX2. During the calls, I was bounced from office to office numerous times. I inquired about the recent news from Fannie Mae which announced guidelines for financial institutions including Wells Fargo to offer unemployed homeowners a brake up to a year in their mortgage payments. During the calls, Wells Fargo representatives refused to "disclose" any information or guidance about the new Fannie Mae guidelines. In fact several Wells Fargo representatives promised to mail me a list of questions and/or requirements needed before they can "disclose" any information. It has been practically 4 months from my initial call(s) to Wells Fargo; still I have not received anything from this bank. Attached please find a copy of the e-mail I sent to Wells Fargo on 01/22/2012. As of today, Wells Fargo have not bothered to answer my e-mail or return my calls.
I will appreciate that Regulators look into unfair business practice(s) as this bank is clearly not following Fannie Mae's guidelines. Wells Fargo should be found liable and be brought to compliance (retrospectively) for not following the laws, regulations, and guidelines (negligence). It is clear this bank is profiting [using unfair business practice(s)] against disadvantaged minority.

Wells Fargo unwarranted repossession

After being laid off, I filed for bankruptcy, but opted to keep my vehicle as I was up on the payments. This morning I awakened to my husband telling me that either my Toyota truck had been stolen or repossessed. After being transferred to several different numbers to only find out that the people I needed to speak with would not be in the office until 8am (PST), I called my local police department since I am in the EST time zone. It was confirmed that it had indeed been repossessed. My problem is not that I could not make the payments, but that I do not receive monthly statements regarding my account. After calling during normal business hours, I was told once your account is under the bankruptcy umbrella, you no longer receive statements. Okay, strike one. If this is the case, then why during 2011 did I receive approximately 4 out of the year? Of course, the rep did not have an answer for this mishap. With them having all of my information from home address, mailing address, home phone and even email, no one attempted to contact me. Strike two. Now I have to wait until Monday in order to find out the total cost of my vehicle plus recovery costs because I cannot go back on a monthly payment plan. This amount I will need to have within 20 days. Strike three. Now that my bankruptcy has been discharged, they were very clear in letting me know that if I do not pay the costs, I will be held liable. This is completely unacceptable and should not be the case. This situation would not exist if it were not for their complete disregard for and lack of communication. I am not sure who I need to contact, but it will not end here.

PS...Toyota Fan, you might want to re-read what you respond to. I never said having to pay was unacceptable. I am more than willing to pay what I owe including recovery costs. Re-reading before responding helps prevent the statement..."an empty wagon makes the most noise."

Toyota Fan, kind of harsh...wow. Not sure who you are responding to, but what you are failing to realize is that people find themselves in unfortunate situations. Perfect example, I am sure you have the answer to all of the homeless post-war vets. What just kill them all? You conclude with a reference to God in a very devilish manner...if you are a true God-fearing person and a Christian, then you would have a more non-judgmental attitude..."Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven" (Luke 6:37)...just food for thought before you include "God" in your verbiage.

When you file for bankruptcy and then reaffirm your debt with any company you are no longer protected by the bankruptcy laws. Companies are not obligated by law to send monthly statements although most do as a courtesy. If you reaffirmed with them I have a feeling they attempted to contact you by phone and by mail. It is doubtful they repossessed your vehicle without notice to you of any kind. Oddly you yourself wrote above "Now that my bankruptcy has been discharged, they were very clear in letting me know that if I do not pay the costs, I will be held liable." Hmmmm sounds like a lawful repossession to me. You should've contacted them and made acceptable payment arrangements long before this happened.

A due date is just that. The date the debt is due. Otherwise it would be called an approximate date or a send it when you have it date. However, you do have a grace period in which you have time to get your payments in each month without receiving a late fee. But your due date is still the date it's due. One day past your due date - your payment is late.
There are strict laws regarding repossession of vehicles and they vary from state to state. However, if you default on your loan then a company can generally repossess your vehicle as soon as 30 days past due.

Magnum7, Wells Fargo doesn't increase the amount of your monthly payment because you're late, the late fees are a separate charge and don't have to be paid for your monthly payment to clear. You were paying less than your contracted monthly rate. Even though you insist this isn't true, that's the only way your amount due would increase each month. You should be glad they let it go without garnishing your wages.

By the way, sometimes it takes the dealership a long time to get the information on the customer to the financing company, which delays the first statement. When this happens you're supposed to have the dealership process your payments for you, since technically you're not the bank's customer yet.

If you signed and reaffirmed a contract you should know you need to keep paying according to the contract, whether they mail or call to remind you or not.

Wells Fargo tried to pull a scam on me too. First, they never sent my payment notice claiming they didnt have me in the system, even after calling them 3 times and giving them all info including address, phone number, social security number ect. Well 1 day after my payment was due, still with no known address to send the payment too, WF starts ringing my phone off the hook at work and my home. When I finally get the payment statement, I sent what I agreed to without their late fee. To them this constituted that I didnt pay on time and from there the pyramid scheme started, until my payment finally reached over $600.00 a month because of non payment of their late fee. I made the payments that I signed a contract to make until their non customer service decided to jack them so high and refused to remove that first late charge I finally said F__K IT! You're gonna eat this car and was more than happy to see the repo man and took him to the vehicle. This messed up my credit, and since I have bought 3 vehicles (Cash). They tried to take this to court using a local lawyer, but when I told the judge what they did, the lawyer stopped the trial, and spoke with me outside. (They never got their damn judgement, and WONT.) Also if you anything like this happen report it to the BBB and keep a record, I did : )... and it sure came in handy. Couldn't never get my credit rating back up but that's just a matter of time knowing not to deal with Wells Fargo anymore. I'm sure that bailout money from my taxes covered their butts on my vehicle.

Wells Fargo (i call it Wells Fu@@o) did the same thing to me! I am an emergency room RN of 30 years. I got injured, and short term disability became long term disability, and finally SSDI. Long story short, i got behind 2 months on my (on time, every time) payment, but keep in contact with Wells F@@ko about my situation. I told them i only needed 10 days to get caught up on payment, and would not be late again. They agreed with this. 3 days later, a tow truck shows up, and driver said Wells F@@ko sent him. I went and got the keys, bag, and a screwdriver. Threw my belongings in the bag, took my tags off, then opened the garage door, and handed the driver the keys. I told him to have a nice day, and go tell Wells F@@ko to go F@@k themselves sideways, Then waived buh, bye in my pretty red leg cast from the front porch. I have, and will never pay then a friggin dime on that vehicle. They screwed me, now they are gonna get screwed rite back! Cant wait till they go under! I would never do business with them, for any reason again! I would not even do CPR on them, just stand there and watch them die! Liars!

Wells Fargo - method of bi-weekly payment

I would like to send my mortgage payment to Wells Fargo bi-weekly. And was told by Wells Fargo that it was unacceptable and that I would have to let Wells Fargo process the payment. This is the issue, why can't I send my payment bi-weekly and Wells Fargo process. If we both are doing the same identical process (bi-weekly payment), why can't my payment be...

Wells Fargo treatment by wells fargo

We have a loan on a lot in the Hill Country of Texas with Wells Fargo. Initially, the lot was made with Wachovia but it was purchased by Wells after the real estate bubble burst and WF acquired Wachovia. We have been on time with every payment, repayment was never a problem. The loan was a five year interest-only loan and it matured Jan. 1 2012. I began trying to refinance it in September of 2011. Prior to all this, back in the summer, Wells Fargo sent an appraiser to the lot for an appraisal without my knowledge or approval. Fortunately, the gate code precluded the appraiser entry. When he called me, I asked who had hired him and he said, your bank. Since I had not granted him permission, I told him to tell whoever hired him to call me and tell me why they were doing this appraisal. I never heard from them or anyone. I called WF to begin the modification process. What I assumed we were doing was modifying the loan for a longer term, and I asked if we could pay some towards principal rather than interest only. Because the lot has no home on it, it was very difficult finding lenders who would loan on it. The process with WF was extremely cumbersome and I was told of all the paperwork and financials I had to produce. "You get just 4 phone calls, " I was told. I ended up overnight-ing a box to the processor in Arizona full of financial information.
I want you to know the amount we owed was about $280, 000. We have over $1.5 million equity in our primary home.
I next applied for a mortgage to use the equity in our home to pay off the lot loan and not have to deal with Wells Fargo, but on the advice of mortgage brokers, I kept up the application process with them "just in case". We were told our loan went through and on Jan 26, the bank requested a payoff from Wells Fargo, which they never received. Note: since we were running late with the financing approval, I sent in a payment for more than $3000. WF did not accept that against the lot loan but rather plunked it into our WF savings account.
Then the new loan got stalled. WF knew full well we were in the process of obtaining financing and had in fact been asked for a payoff. At the same time, they began sending me material asking if I was sure I wanted to leave them. Then they sent us notice of right to cure default -- foreclosure. I pulled away from the undecided bank and obtained a loan with another in the course of two weeks. One week before we were to close, I emailed the attorney -- oh yes, we were told our loan was now in foreclosure, not in the system, and all communication had to go through an attorney -- and asked for the payoff balance. I was told it would include attorney's fees. Today is the day before we are set to close on our new loan and pay off Wells Fargo 100%. They have not given us a payoff balance and in fact, told us I did not give them enough time to obtain one. We cannot close tomorrow without this information.
This is stunning. First of all, we were good, solid paying customers they blew off completely. I want their shareholders to know about this. They could have refinanced us and had a good loan on their books, just as the one maturing was a good loan. Secondly, I feel like they want us to go into foreclosure. Fortunately, my children are attorneys and I am a journalist. I intend to take this story as far as I can and would love input/feedback. Any cases action lawsuits out there? I don't know if Wells Fargo got taxpayer money in the bail out, but this is surreal. The regional banks I am dealing with have been very helpful and tell me this is why you never, ever want to deal with a large bank. Too big to fail? I think they should all be chopped down.

i had an account with Wachovia before WF bought them out the branch i made my paycheck deposit in Bessemer, AL was robed 1 hour after i left they had no record of my deposit and requested i send them the original receipt so not thinking because the teller had been killed and i thought they needed this for info to help with the crime against her and god knows she didn't deserve it i sent it in only to call them 1 month later to find out they were bought out and that they had nothing on that matter and my account was over drawn 500 bucks when it was in the pos 200 when i deposited the paycheck and didn't spend any of that before or after the issue as i was waiting for it to get cleared up...also i had nothing pending and no checks out...after 6 months of calling them and getting hung up on i gave up only to find they filed it against my credit and with e check so now i can't get a checking account and am going to have to file with an attorney to get this cleared up and i dont have the money to do that as i am a single father who receives no child support or any assistance from the gov...i think when a bank buys another one out they should be made to fix any errors that the other bank made as if i bought a business from someone i would be made to by law..where did the banks become above the law?

Wells Fargo difficulty obtaining endorsement of insurance check

Sorry to hear about all the other folks having problems, but at least I am reassured it is not me who is confused. I too have an insurance check that I need to have Wells Fargo endorse so I can pay it to the contractor who replaced my roof after a hails storm. In January contacted the Loss Document department and was given a very confusing list of SEVEN steps that needed to take place before I could obtain the endorsement. I send them this, they send me that, they schedule and inspection... I complied with the first step, and they never responded. I am trying to get in touch with them again, but can't even find a phone number on the Internet. This has already been time consuming and frustrating, and I am not even to step two in the exceedingly complicated process. If anyone knows how to actually get something done with this group, any advice would be welcomed.

Not good seeing this! We Live in Colorado and our roof needs to be replaced. What a run around we have already had with Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo wants us to send I. The check. Not a chance. Common sense is not prevailing here. A roof replacement takes less than a week to do. Wells Fargo wants to make 1/3 payments on a one week roofing job! Wells Fargo also needs to learn how to treat those of us who pay our mortgages on time. If Wells Fargo doesn't work with us we will simply refinance and take our business elsewhere. I will also get in touch with the State Attorney to get the check relased so we can pay the contractor.

My experience was the same. The suggestion to "follow the process" is ridiculous and stupid. Wells Fargo cannot even tell you the correct steps in the process from one day to the next. I went through exactly the same issue - got the finish work completed in September of 2011 and Wells Fargo took until February to complete their end - the inspections, sending the same paperwork 3 times, thinking paperwork was needed when we had already advanced three levels past the point where it was needed, etc. Wells Fargo constantly displays nothing other than uncaring incompetence.

Wells Fargo unbelievable!!! run away

I cannot begin to express my frustrations with this company, I was out of work sick for a week UNPAID, and these jerks wont even work with me, and I know there is a 10 day grace period so why do they feel the need to call a day after the payment is due? I do western union payments so sometimes they dont post til the next day, and I usually have to do them on Fridays after 5, and they call me Friday at 3, after Ive already told them that I will be paying it, as I always do, Im seriously thinking of getting rid of the car all together, this has been the worst experience as far as cars go, I usually just buy private party and I am VERY sure I will be doing that again VERY soon. Im sick of this big company taking advantage of the people that pay their salary, and cant even help someone out in a hardship, just totally unbelievable... I would suggest taking a bus before getting a loan with these Jack-###'s, unless of course you like harrassment, and the worst customer service I have ever had, and the rudest reps, I cant believe how they can get away with this! My suggestion is STAY AWAY

There really is no such thing as a "grace period" for car loans, you accrue extra interest every day you go past due. By the time you pay off your car you could have spent an extra $1, 000 (I kid you not) even if you never go so far past due that you pay a late fee.
