Wells Fargo home policy cancelation

We recieved a letter yesterday from our home policy company if they don't recieve a payment by christmas day(5 days away) they will cancel our policy. After investigating the past 12 months of payment statements, we discovered the Wells Fargo escrow department sent a payment to the home policy company a few months ago but it was not correct. We now have to come up with $239 to pay or be without insurance. I know Wells Fargo is going to get a really mad phone call tomorrow. I never had any problems with Wachovia. It's a shame they were turned over to Wells Fargo thru no fault of our own. I'm gonna pay the $239 to make sure we don't lose our insurance. Right now my hubby and I are not going to buy presents for each other. I also noticed on our last statement they haven't paid my county taxes like Wachovia did every November. Thank you Wells Fargo for trying to get us to lose our house.

Sadly, you cannot assume the mortgage company will pay things correctly. Errors are often made. It's best to check periodically that the taxes/insurance are being paid correctly over the year, it's what I've learned to do when errors were made on my mortgage as well.

Wells Fargo ballon payment on auto loan

I have car loan with Wells Fargo and my maturity date was September 2010. Wells Fargo said that they give me an extention back in 2008. Now they tell me I owe them a ballon payment of 1648.89 with 18.49% interest compounded daily and am 81days past due.Which I have been making a payment monthly. I tried to my arrangements for three payments. I was told to have a nice day. That they want the full amount on December 27th. I have nothing in writing about a ballon payment, accept for a demand for payment letter. They call me twenty times a day from 8 am until 8pm leaving threating messages. I am tired of being harrased, Wells Fargo already has taken advantage of me with a loan for 18.49%. Now they want to reposses the car. Please advise.

Wells Fargo is the bargain basement of lenders and it seems they prefer to hire thug losers who like to dirty street fight and call it "customer service". Come on you losers...step up, put on your Big Boy panties and act like adults. In my efforts to resolve negative reports on my credit from this bank from 4 years ago I have been treated with the most unbelievably low-class behavior ever. I have even submitted medical records and full documentation of a time when I was literally fighting for my life and had been told at that time by an Attorney in their legal Dept. "just focus and get well and we will sort this out when you are able to communicate". Mean while I was receiving threatening phone calls in my hospital room between surgeries from some borderline illiterate Asian girl demanding payment on a loan that I understood to be paid off since I was already making payment on a new "hardship" loan granted by their legal dept at a much lower Interest rate to replace it. Wells Fargo acknowledges having a "31 page submission from me" which documented my circumstances (including medical records) and yet to this day I am told I am stupid for not making payments on a loan that I understood to be paid off according to my records and my credit report. It even states on my credit report that a new loan was in place before they reported me 30 and 60 past due on the old loan. My last conversation with Jullian was Friday April 26, 2013 in which he basically called me stupid for not realizing that even though I had already paid off that loan and had a new loan in place I was still responsible for paying on the old loan...I guess I missed that class in my nearly PhD education. Gee whiz Jullian...what obviously superior school did you attend while honing your amazing skills at acting like a 3rd rate bully and class "tough guy?' Is there anyone in the community who has the knowledge and credentials to help me resolve this unbelievable situation and repair the only damage to my otherwise clean credit report?

Wells Fargo wells fargo holding my mortgage hostage

Never use Wells Fargo to obtain your mortgage. I had been a loyal customer for over 10 years with excellent credit (over 800) and have never missed a payment. I have referred customers to Wells Fargo in the past, but after my recent experiences I will never again. After purchasing another apartment in nyc several years ago with an interest rate of 5.75% I had the opportuinity to refinance approximately 2 years ago. It took months for the process to get completed only for Wells Fargo to come back and say that my coop did not have the required amount of insurance to qualify my loan for refinancing. Firstly, I already had my loan with Wells Fargo so what risk were they taking by refinancing my loan? Secondly, no other bank appeared to have any issues with refinancing loans in my coop. The only reason I can think of is that it was purely a business decision to keep me paying at a higher rate. Since that experience I decided recently to refinance at HSBC given I did not want to pay a bunch of fees like I had previously only to get my refinancing rejected by Wells Fargo. It has been close to 3 months and I have still not been able to refinance and my rate lock has expired. The reason? Because Wells Fargo is still waiting for papers from their warehouse to release my loan. Absolutely f'ing incredible. In short, never use Wells Fargo. Your experience will be horrible getting a loan from them and will be even more painful if you decide to refinance your mortgage in the future with another bank.

Oddly i have been trying to streamline an existing FHA loan w/ them...they dragged their feet so long the FHA insurance rate has sky rocketed so my savings has gone fron $150.00ish to $97/ mo ! They keep telling me the appraisal is going to expire ! FUNNY thing there is NO appraisal on a streamline ! I could have gone to People'sBank back in November..but i remained loyal and got screwed due to the lack of competency apparently in the underwriting dept. Then again got a call just last night wanting all my documents from Sept..which are in my file ! WT hck is wrong w/ these people ?

Wells Fargo overdraft protection

I was a Wachovia customer, happy enough truthfully no complaints. I have an overdraft protection on my checking account, this way if I overdraw the overdraft protection kicks in. For many many years I have had this, if I knew I was running into issues, I would transfer money from my overdraft protection to cover checks, usually would only need it for a few days and then I would transfer it back and pay the overdraft account back. The fee for this was $10.00, if I did not pay back within a few days I would be charged similar to a credit card a percentage rate per day, so it made sense to me to pay it back within a few days. Now that Wachovia is now Wells Fargo I continued to work with my bank account in the same manner, I would transfer money when I thought there would be an issue and transfer it back within days. Wells Fargo all of a sudden now considers this a cash advance with a $250.00 fee to do so. When I called to complain I was told I was informed of this and nothing can or would be done. I had the money overdraft protection money for two days and then it was paid back, they didn't care and when I told them I would move to another bank they didn't care about this either. Once I use up my checks that I just paid for I will definitely move to another bank, who wants to do business with thieves!

Yes...No mention of the above stated, infact I have it here in front of me right now its ten pages long and I had the fun of reading that. Thats the point of the post@! THEY DID NOT INFORM CUSTOMERS OF THIS CHANGE! DON'T YOU THINK I INVESTIGATED THIS BEFORE I CALLED THEM!

Dec 16, 2010 2:46 pm EST

Wells Fargo did not inform their customers of this change by law they are required. Yet again you are missing the point of the post. If you stop worrying about others finances you will be able to see the point of the post clearly. I didn't ask for anyone's opinion just a post to inform, and what better way to INFORM than on a public site. Please note that others don't care about how I manage my accounts just YOU...Hmmmmm maybe they have a LIFE

Update by irishporto
Dec 16, 2010 2:03 pm EST

How I manage my account is my business, what I wanted all to know was the recent change that Wells Fargo implemented so that others don't fall into this scam. Not a lecture on managing my finances. So try really hard to understand why people post, its to help others not fall for the same pitfalls, no one asked you for your opinion on how accounts are managed. Go get a life!

What does paying bills have to do with anything? There were transactions deep within the system that I never made. So what does that say about the company? Thieves.

I think the Government should investigate the business practice of Wells Fargo. They are liers, thieves and their auto loan department is filled with young punks who enjoy being bullies. They have caused a disasterious situation in my home & now trying to rtepo my car. I originally secured my auto loan with Wachovia and do not believe I must abide with a bunch of new rules that I never received any information for. They say they sent me notification that if I didn't catch up on my auto payments they would take my car. I never received any notification, they are liers. Someone should take charge of this awful situation that so many people are expierencing. Maybe we should start OWF " Occupy Wells Fargo"

Wells Fargo has f**ed up policies period! They are money grubbing, greedy vultures who feed off of the naivety of others in hopes of not getting caught. Wachovia wasn't perfect but they understood customer service. This whole bank transfer and bill pay scam is proof positive of this. Now you have to have money in your account 3-4 days BEFORE the bill is due, so if you had your bills set to pay the day of your payday or a day afterward, they are going to pull this money from your savings account for EACH TRANSFER. Which means, electric ($10), gas ($10), phone ($10), insurance ($10), mortgage ($10) etc... could end up costing you quite a bit of dough, and they think this is somehow okay... I think I should burn their f*cking building down too, but that doesn't mean it's okay... right?

First of all, all banks are a bunch of money grubbing thieves. The government bailed these jerk offs out and now they won't lend money to anyone. Not to mention they seem to have plenty of money for big remodels and such. Anyone who takes the banks side is a complete ### in need of a overhaul to the brain.

Wells Fargo online banking

Think twice before you start or continue using wells fargo bank. I was a happy wachovia customer, how got sold to wells fargo bank.In the last month there has been a new weekly problem with them. My biggest problem is that wells fargo has decided that my mother's accounts and my accounts should be lumped all together as one. I complained and told the problem was fixed. Found out it was not when they started taking money for my bills out of my mother's accounts. Again told it fixed and again found it is not. When you call and complain they do not help and after a couple of times refuse to talk with the customer instead of fixing problem. Even though I have plenty of money in my accounts wells fargo has decided when and how I can spend my money. My son tried to move money on line from his accounts and found that it would not work, he talked to wells fargo representatives who told him even though it was available on screen it does not work. A week later he found that wells fargo took the money out of his checking, decided it would not work, so put the money back into his savings, causing him a overdraft problem. They then charged his $30 due to their mistake and refused to give him his money back! Wells fargo on-line banking is a major problem. It is bad. I can promise you that you need to stay away from wells fargo bank, if you do not I can promise you that you will regret dealing with wells fargo.

Wells Fargo taking money from my account

These people have been taking money from my account steady for the last three years or more. I could not get a hold of them, no matter how much I tried. I did not know anything about them, and my bank would not help me. I called my bank this morning and that is how I found out that Wells Fargo was collecting for Huntington National Bank. The lady gave me an account number and everything. It all has something to do with credit cards, I don't have any. I was trying to see if I could find out anything more about them online, but I keep getting sites like this one. They do not have a contact phone number. I am going to contact a lawyer after I call the Huntington Bank. This is all rediculous. I am also going to contact the Preident, because he signed a bill to stop people like this from harrassing you. I hope everyone has gotten the money they have lost and to also have a good day.

Wells Fargo fees and charged to disabled veteran

I am a disable veteran, honorable discharge after 21 years of service.

I cannot write or keep a bank ledger and was told by the staff at the wells fargo branch in payson, az to use wells fargo online to keep track of my accounts. I have been a customer of wells fargo since 1996.

On dec 6, 2010, around 6:30am, when I checked my online account information my account was in the black. On dec 7, 2010, around 6:15am I checked my online account and saw that I was over draft but no charge or fee had been accessed.

On dec 7, 2010, between 7:00 am and 11:00am I made three deposits into my account to more then cover the mistake.

On dec 7, 2010, at 2:02pm wells fargo charged my account an over draft fee of $35.00 even after the corrected deposits were made to fix my mistake.

Between 2:30 and 3:30pm, dec 7, 2010, every telephone call to wells fargo was met with cold and heartless telephone bank employees that refused to remove the $35.00 fee even after it was explained that I was following wells fargo’s own directions and advice for keeping track of my account due to my disability.

Wells fargo bank offered no compassion or understanding and did not seem to care that if they do not remove this unfair charge that they will loss a long standing customer. Even though the customer tried to correct his own mistake following the direction of the local branch in payson, arizona.

I will not bank with a greedy and cold hearted bank and I would ask that other people see how cold hearted wells fargo bank really is and withdraw all their funds from any accounts they have with wells fargo or when they make a simple mistake they will witness first hand the cold hearts and lack of compassion I have suffered today.

Wells Fargo rip off specialists

We were courted by wells fargo financial. We took out the very high interest loan as a temporary "band-aid" loan to help get me through college.

Trying to make the most of it, we made extra principle payments. They never applied the funds to principle. They made them to interest! I called several times and it was never explained well or adjustments made.

When we re-financed our loan away from them they gave the closing agent a pay-off quote then sent the check back and required us to pay an additional $1600 in order to close our account with them.

When we tried to call them I spent 153 minutes on hold... They never answered.

Stay away from this rip-off and unethical company!

Wells Fargo put a levy on unemployment

Wachovia placed a levy on my unemployment funds. Then they bounced a check that came through and charged me another 35.00. Then the business i wrote the check to charged me 37.00 for the check. The courts did release the funds back to me that were being held by the levy stating STATE LAW cannot levy unemployment funds which i provided proof to the courts that the funds were unemployment funds. They did have the bank release the funds back to me but Wachovia decided to keep 100 for processing fees. I still had to pay the bounced check fees to the business i wrote the check to. The only people that kept the money was Wachovia and that is ILLEGAL.

Wells Fargo denial of fraud claim with proof given

Dear Ma’am or Sir:
I am pleading to anyone to hear and to help me correct our accounts. On numerous previous dates, I notified my Wachovia bank branch and have been working with the Wachovia Bank fraud Dept (numerous other Departments as well) by telephone that the credit cards issued to me and my cousin (Edward Humphrey) had been compromised. Our statements show unauthorized transactions charged to our cards after I reported it. When I call to inquire about a resolution, I am told that there is no record of my reporting unauthorized transactions. This is the most illogical and puzzling aspect of reporting suspicious transactions and being told I must go to my branch, file a police report, and have my bank representative assist me. This created a loop that had no end. Thankfully, I did keep notes.
We have banked with what we call my Wachovia since 1984. We also were patient as my Wachovia weathered through the economic problems they were experiencing and we still have faith that we will be heard and my Wachovia will do the right thing. Our branch was also aware of my disability and that Ed was legally allowed access to all accounts. Our personal and medical information is necessary to address because unethical villains (employees of Wachovia Bank ) mentioned or made sensational comments that we should have received a settlement from my mother’s death and my medical history “does not sound so terminal” since I was still alive. Therefore, you will see some medical information attached in a previous document to show these cold-hearted villains proof.
I called the respective companies on, 28 Jan 2010, and was treated for the most part very respectfully. A hero with my Wachovia named Latasha Sally (5+) spent a long time checking my account and discovered that I indeed did have disputes and she could not find any reimbursement to my checking account from CIT finance. She connected me with her supervisor after being so kind and thoughtful, so I could inform her supervisor I had a grading system of bad service =one, and the best service being a five. Afterwards I was connected to a “dispute representative, ” a male who did not give his name. He was very arrogant and informed me that since there was no dispute claim within the past 90 days, so I had no case. He then informed me “that state governmental representatives had no jurisdiction on the bank” and if I wanted reimbursed, I would have to file a small claims court suit against CIT. I discovered that CIT was getting money without my approval since my health insurance was supposed to pay them. Each time I called and stressed this issue, I was told the money would be credited-there is no record of reversal or credit to this day and CIT was paid with refusing to refund money stating this was “the bank’s matter.”
I recently had my cousin and a friend read my mail and email, and when I was told that information was requested no later than January 31, 2010, from Ms. Mynah. This is the female employee I was transferred to by phone with fraud and she was helpful, kind, and seemed to care, so I have come full circle with my issues. After hearing this and told the date of the letter was January 21, 2010, with the postal date of February 4, 2010. I sat on the floor and just sobbed due to the feeling of not being understood, treated poorly, and called essentially a liar since “no records of my account had even the word of fraud in them.” Now the first hero I had at Wachovia sent me a illegible form with yellow highlighted areas to fill out, as if I were stupid. I AM NOT STUPID, I AM BLIND. As I stated earlier, I already filled out the forms required (see first sentence in this paragraph) about 4 times and now I have to do this again?
I was injured at work a couple of times from [protected], after working in the medical field since 1976. I loved my job as a bedside nurse in neurological and cardiologic intensive care. However, after a permanent injury, I had to find another area in nursing that could accommodate my disability without danger to me or another person. This meant going back to school to obtain a higher degree to teach nursing. My disability payments were incredibly smaller than what I made working bedside, however, I was able to pay all bills on time. I noticed some questionable activity on my ledger that did not match my Wachovia’s, from October 2007 to December 2007. I was told this was not a problem.
When we got home briefly in May 2008, after my mom and a niece passing away, we had numerous phone messages that no payment was received from creditors. Checking the bank ledger revealed numerous cash withdrawals from credit cards when I never use “credit cards” for cash at a higher interest rate. The bank ledger also listed charges not made by us. Then the ultimate surprise was that the bank ledger listed payments posted to our bill collectors but the bill collectors claim no payment had been received. I had to call all accounts individually, discuss the issues I found, and to cancel the cards immediately. Each account representative informed me that the proper procedure prior to claiming fraud was to check each transaction and dispute it. When this has been completed for all accounts, then fraud claims could be addressed. I disputed claims and was humbled because each time I sent the dispute form in by fax, no one called to inform me that I had not filled the form out properly-this added to the time factor of prompt reporting. When I noticed the bank ledger had completed no reversal, I called the respective department and was then told that the form was not completed accurately. The stress and my nerves were incredibly brittle. I continued filling out the forms until I got them correct. Latasha was able to find these documents easily and I took confirmed appropriate action.
I was told that my insurance on the Prime Equity Loan had been cancelled in May 2009. We both searched to see if there was ever insurance on our charge cards, but could not find any insurance on them. Therefore, I was advised that my insurance should help me out. When I ask about this now, the subject changes and I am told to send information documented with my health history changes.
I fell and hit my head with severe injury to my neck and became blind in October 2009. This has really been hard for me and now even after hopeful surgery, we will not know if my vision will come back permanently. In addition to the visual impairment, I now have additional irreparable neurological challenges affecting the use of my left arm from the neck injuries stemming from that fall. I did speak with another hero- one of this person’s supervisors- Ms. Proctor, who helped me months earlier and explained my current condition with her speaking with Ed to write some contact numbers down. Despite some cold-hearted people, I included some documentation to show some proof of my condition in a prior document with my notes.
Discovercard has also been affected similarly after getting the information from a payment and they have refused to initiate a fraud investigation based on Wachovia’s findings. Discovercard also cancelled my insurance on that account. I know if I had been taken seriously at the onset by “my Wachovia”, then collectively we all could have stopped any further action of “stealing” including my cousin’s and my savings account. I also would not know about Bankcard Services nor even have new cards with compromised cards cancelled which proves my calling the bank. This means that I did contact the bank in a timely manner, the people I dealt with just did not put the pieces together, and I have had to endure a horrible experience. I am not the only person treated this way as I told of my observing the treatment of a poor elder man’s treatment in an earlier letter. With all the people unemployed or those that have a higher degree, why do these villains still work for the company and justify a bonus?
The government has determined that I must be very disabled or have a life-limiting illness to receive Medicaid. What gives Wachovia’s representatives the right to judge and make such ignorant and hurtful statements in regards to my health? Believe me, with all my education, my professional experience (which by the way I have paid and continue to pay taxes as well) and my health situation, to be receiving Medicaid is not by choice, however; a necessity. Prior to my injuries, I used to work 80+ hours a week as a Professional Registered Nurse caring for others in their time of need. With all my checks/income deposited in my Wachovia for over 20+ years, I would have expected much better response to this obvious security breech
to my accounts after such loyalty on my end. Instead, I have been treated as though I am asking for a hand out for what is rightfully mine. I am asking for the return of the money and restoration of my credit. All that was stolen from my accounts, the breech, along with the long lag-time without appropriate action on Wachovia’s part has adversely affected my good credit. I believe that it is now time for my Wachovia to take some responsibility in protecting their customer’s accounts and rectifying their (Wachovia) mistakes when a breech has occurred. In my case, this should have happened at the onset. I would also like to know if my Wachovia is in fact unaffected by state representatives.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Billy W Childress Jr.

Wells Fargo lies, cover up, and more lies

I got a 203K home loan through WF. It has been a nightmare from day one! My real estate agent, lawyer, and contractor had NEVER experienced such a difficult and lengthy closing. I closed over a month later than promised. After we got the "clear to close", they decided they still needed more information. At first I was told I would have 6 months to complete my project but after I closed I was told 3 months and the paperwork I signed ended up saying 4 months. I guess that part was my own "bad" because I probably should have read everything more thoroughly. Well, it took over 2 weeks to get the initial portion of the money I was supposed to get at my closing, they never gave me my second installment and now I got a letter saying that I did not follow the terms of the loan and they will foreclose on me. I am beyond frustrated with the rude, disrespectful, and anything but helpful disbursement specialists who seemingly go out of their way to make things harder. When you're renovating your first home, you need support. Not people making things more difficult. I asked to work with a more respectful agent and got no where. They have made so many mistakes and so many aspects of this process have "slipped through the cracks" and been covered up, its ridiculous. I would NEVER recommend working with WF. An employee of WF told me she refers her friends and family elsewhere due to the practices she has witnessed.

Wells Fargo cashier's check - security bond

I sold my car to a private party and received a cashier's check for $13, 000 drawn on a Wells Fargo account. Before the check could be deposited (within 2 hours) it was lost. I immediately notified the buyer (who has the account at Wells Fargo) and he immediately notified Wells Fargo (within 4 hours) The two of us went to Wells Fargo to discuss the situation with the bank manager. This is where my saga begins.

We were told that the buyer (I'll call him Joe) could purchase a security bond at Wells Fargo (WF) for 2% of the check value ($262) and WF would immediately reissue the check. "The Hartford" is the institution issuing the security bond. Joe needed to acquire the security bond since he had the account at WF. I paid $262 to Joe (after all, it was my fault) and he filled out paperwork and purchased the bond.

Several days passed. No word from anyone. I asked Joe about the status. Joe became alarmed when he studied the fine print from the Hartford regarding the bond. He freaked out when he interpreted the verbiage to say the HE was liable for the $13, 000 if the lost check was cashed. This is not what we were told by WF.

Joe and I went to another WF branch (where I have more confidence) and asked the questions. The personal banking representaive was helpful, knowledgeable and very attentive...even though this wasn't 'his' problem. Although he was careful not to step on toes of the first WF bank, the loan officer had the personal opinion that the check should have been reissued by now and that the security bond protected Joe in cash the lost check was cashed. He checked and discovered that the $13, 000 check had NOT been reissued and the the $262 payment for the security bond had NOT been cashed. We had received no information from the originating WF branch. Joe was not satisfied and kept pushing and asking to see written documents that explained liability in cash the lost check was cashed. The 'good' WF branch also determined that a 'do not pay' order had been issued for the lost check.

At the bottom of the paperwork was a contact phone number for the Hartford and I called them. (what a novel idea :-) )O ONE at WF had contacted the Hartford for clarification or for information on paperwork required, review and approval criteria or how the process worked.

These are the FACTS that I discovered -- and are contradictory to the information we were given by WF. Via the Hartford's phone number, there was a recorded message with an detailed description of the steps that needed to be followed. Apparently WF was unaware.
1) The security bond protects WF, not Joe. 2) The security bond enables WF to cut another check quickly, thats ALL IT DOES. However if the first, lost check, is found and cashed, Joe is liable for reimbursing WF The $262 payment allows the new check to be issued-- nothing more. 3) the Paperwork to request the security bond should have included Joe's financial statement (it did not). The Hartford requires Joe to have 2x the value of the security bond in his account for them to 'authorize' the bond. He does not so the Hartford would have never approved the security bond. 4) the paperwork should have been faxed to the Hartford for an immediate decision -- THEN, if approved, we would pay the $262.00. (it was sent hardcopy mail). 4) The Hartford's representative called me and explained the process. (Thank you) Apparently Joe is liable to WF for the 'lost check' for a specified period of time -- one person said 90 days another said 6 months. (I need to get accurate information on this.) ANYONE can purchase the security bond -- not only the person with the account at WF or the person who initiated the first check...and a number of institutions offer them. The only true requirement is that WF accept it.

So, after two weeks and a lot of frustration, I am back at square one and have absolutely no confidence in any information from WF. I have the choice of spending $262 to get a check reissued, but Joe is liable for the $13000 for a period of time. WF has issued a 'do not pay' notice for the lost check -- but they guarantee nothing. Apparently they don't believe in their own processes.

SO, the bottom line is this -- sweet and simple. If you lose a cashier's check you can consider the money lost until some unknown time-frame passes. Even though a 'do not pay' notice is issued by the bank, even though you purchase a security bond, and even though you can get a new check issues within a few days/weeks. ...you cannot be sure that the lost check is truly dead for a long time.

Now I need to find out what is needed to cause the check to be reissued after the unknown time period passes. Please pray for me in getting accurate information from Wells Fargo.

And, yes, I've learned my lesson about being careless. And, yes, I am thankful that it is possible that I might be able to recover the money.

Over 6 months ago I gave a certified check to a property management company for the house we were suppose to rent ! Our move in date was July 1 but the township has failed the inspection 3 times due to outlets not working properly and each inspection same things failed and the central air broke and no one came out to fix and temperatures were in the high 90s, some days temp reached 110' in the house causing a pipe to burst, soaking 4300 sq feet of house with water. The ceilings collapse, walls warped and light fixtures fell to floor and the doors expanded sealing them shut and garage door opener blew up, leaving 2 huge doors unable to be opened, let's not forget the $15, 000.00 in brand new furniture that had to be delivered because it was 3 weeks after move in date and store I bought from will no longer store it so they gave permission and so did township inspector to have it delivered and put in house before it passes inspection! Here we are 6 months later and still not able to move in due to same things failing inspection and central air unit still not fixed, now temperature falling below 30s so I'm expecting pipes to now freeze and going through more damage ! They were paid over $90, 000.00 for the insurance claim, for them to gut and rebuild everything that was damaged by water! They did not gut and replace everything they claimed was damaged, including the rugs that are still a little wet 6months later that caused mold to grow on doors, wall in bathroom not replaced from where pipe broke and water spraying at it for a week causing a hole in wall which is how the water was able to reach the entire house, nothing replaced in bathroom where the pipe broke and where 3 inches of water sat the longest, light fixtures we're not replaced and still dripping water on to the new white tile kitchen floor, which by the way was hardwood floors when agreeing to rent the house when I had to give them the large check! This tells me they committed a crime for insurance fraud! They gave insurance company the estimates written by companies that were suppose to do the work, but they hired guys to do half the work and only replacing some things and at a cheaper price and then pocketed most of the money ! So now I want my money back and need to find a different house

Wells Fargo poor customer service

I called to make a payment on my car loan and I was connected to so many different people. Each one took their time to harrass me. I ask about my account manager and they said I ought to know who that is. They told me I was lying about not having money to pay it. When I asked questions about my payment history, their reply was ..we don't go over that over the phone and if you are behind you will need to reapply for a new loan. My car is due to be paid off in January 2011 but they say I owe $1500.00 in late fees. Unbearable, Unfriendly, Unethical, Hateful customer service reps. I thought this was against the law but it is not. Do not get a loan with Wells Fargo under any circumtances. They will make your life a living hell. I have a friend they call her job every day from 5 and 6 different number with threats and harrassment tactics before the bill is due. Why because they say she has a history of slow pay so the start early.

I'm having the same experience. We have a year of payments left (spent over $15000 thus far) and we got behind d/t me starting a new job and having to wait a month for my first paycheck (not to mention I lost a month of unemployment a month prior to that AND I'd just made a $4000 payment on my mortgage b/c THAT was what we got behind on when I lost a week of unemployment). Now they're threatening us & I tried to make a payment online but it won't let me pay the $522 I told them I'd pay by 4/15. It's trying to make me pay $1152 and says I owe $1700-something by 4/28. It also has my monthly payment as $629/mo but my monthly has ALWAYS been $522 - I don't know WHERE they're getting the extra $107/mo from?!
They are the WORST bank EVER!

Wells Fargo messed up my credit score

four months ago I received a notice that my son was not enrolled, make payments immediately or this would turn into a delinquent credit activity that would be notified to financial bureau. I called letting them know that he was enrolled, fax them the verification that he is enrolled. They kept sending me letters. I kept calling them back. Their excused was that they had so many requests for student loans that it would take them 6 to 8 weeks to change the information and to notify the bureau. My score went down to 720. Because I have three non-payments reported by Wells Fargo. One of my credit cards lower my line of credit from 24000 to 700 because of this. Called them again and said they had proceed to change my status but that it will take 6 weeks for the bureau to modify my credit score. Their procedures are slow to rectify but fast to go get you.

My husband and I are going through the same thing. Have been for about six to eight weeks. He has called them repeatedly to try to get them to fix the problem on his credit but they keep telling him that there is a long list and that the president of the company has to approve them all. We still haven't got his repaired by them.

Wells Fargo they tried to take our home.

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is a joke. In October 2010 I received a phone call from Wells Fargo stating that we were 4 months behind on our mortgage payments. I explained to them that I had made every monthly payment like always and was confused as to how this was. I was told that there was not enough money in my escrow to cover my taxes and insurance so they "Did me a favor" and paid them for me. I was then told that the last 4 monthly payments had been taken to repay my debt to them for paying my taxes and insurance. So in short every month that I thought I was paying my mortgage they were actually taking it to pay themselves back for them "doing me a favor". I told them I wanted to keep my house and asked what I needed to do to make that happen. They asked me for my financial information so they could set me up on some sort of repayment plan. I went through this several times and was told that there was no help available. I told them I could send them $1, 500.00 and they told me that would stop the foreclosure and I could pay the rest before the next mortgage payment was due the following month. I sent them the $1, 500.00 via my bank and was under the impression the everything was fine and that I had enough time to pay the rest off before the deadline. On November 8th I received a letter from an Attorney stating that my house was in foreclosure. I called Wells Fargo and was told that the money I sent them was sent back to the bank because they would not accept partial payments. I was then instructed to call the Attorney. The original amount I was told I owed them was $2, 169.00. When I called the Attorney I was told that I now owed $3, 200.18 because of Attorney fees, late charges, inspections, etc. I was told this amount was good until November 15th. On November 13th paperwork was filed with the court and the amount rose to $3, 928.08. I feel like I have been bent over and screwed hard. I sent the Attorney the money to have all of this taken care of, but I am now very nervous after reading all the horror stories on here as to what will really happen with the money that I sent the Attorney. I am told that I will receive a letter from the court stating that the foreclosure has been dismissed and everything will be back on track, but for how long? The scary part about all of this is that this is not the first time we have had issues with Wells Fargo. We would love to refinance, but because of all the trouble we have had with them our credit score is in the toilet. My only question is how many more times are we going to have to deal with this crap?

Wells Fargo harassing phone calls

I have been a credit card customer for 12 years, pay every bill on time and never late, never hold a balance, charge about $12000 annually and pay in full every month. Last month only used $10 and apparently the bill never arrived, so I'm late 1 week. Wells Fargo calls me up while I'm driving, insists to collect over the phone (blocked ID, fraud risk), and also driving risk. I told them to send me duplicate of the bill and I'd pay immediately. The a-hole on the phone told me that I'm damaging my credit by delaying the $10 a few days. I called 1 hr later to speak to a weasel of a supervisor named Derek, and he was as bad as the first ###, refused to repudiate anything the other guy did (including trying to collect part of the bill that isn't due 'til next month), I told him either I want an apology or I'm canceling the card. The weasel Derek said no problem. The card is canceled. I will never use WF again for anything. I have about 9 more decent cards to choose from. I hope they are bankrupt soon. Hope the corporate management might see this story and figure out what kind of a-holes they have over there, chasing away good (excellent) customers.

I have had a credit card with Wells Fargo for 10 years. This afternoon I used my Wells Fargo Visa and was told it was declined. It was very embarrassing since I had about 10 people in line staring at me. I used another card and scuttled out of the store as quick as I could. I went home and called Wells Fargo because I knew I had a zero balance since I pay my entire balance every month and I had just paid my balance. It turns out I accidently overpaid, so they blocked my card. No phone call or anything reasonable like that. Just blocked it and figured I would call them when I tried to use it. Great policy Wells Fargo, embarrass long term customers instead of calling them and tell them they OVERPAID!

Ridiculous. I am cancelling my card.

Wells Fargo is a sorry banking institution...I too have been a long time customer...and I can't wait to get rid of them permanently...they send me a statement all right on my vehicle...with the due date but it never says how long the grace period is...normally 10days for competent banks..I've asked the bank clerks here in Cedar Park Tx.. about the grace period but they don't know either...so sometimes I get hit with a late fee and sometimes I don't..I never pay more than 10 days past the due date... and only twice because I don't want the extra charges...as well if you finance anything with them they will charge you every cent of the contracts interest..pay early...you get no interest reduction... pay extra towards the principle they reduce your next payment...my son also deals with Wells Fargo...and his opinion is about the same...this is a sorry bank...

Wells Fargo not releasing funds for contractor

I am a roofing contractor in Wichita KS. I replaced 2 roofs 6 - 8 weeks ago on Wells Fargo mortgage customers. We sent Wells Fargo everything that they said they needed to release the insurance money to their customer for them to pay me. But every week or 2 just when I am expecting to receive the money they come up with something ridiculous that they say they need or they can't locate a piece of paperwork that I sent them previously. They are currently holding about $25000.00 of MY MONEY and I am at my wits end and really ticked off. I have already paid for the materials and labor for these jobs. And I currently have 4 more customer's roofs to build who also have their morgage with Wells Fargo! So, Wells Fargo will be in complete control of that money for 2-3 months as well. Can anyone reading this afford not to be paid for 2-3 months? Is there not a government agency that can help or some type of legal action that can be taken against these crooks?! The reason they are holding the money is very simple.. they are making millions of dollars in interest on hardworking contractor's incomes. I have an account with Wells Fargo that I will be closing now. I recommend that no one do business with this company.

WF is pretty clear about how they release funds...if you are doing insurance work it is regulated by the state. They release some upfront and the rest when the project is completed AND inspected. By them and the building code department ( may not be the right department but you know what I mean) . AFTER inspection is done and the work is completed they will release the rest of the funds. There is several different departments that have to approve the releasing of the funds and that is to protect the homeowner from being scammed. Also they usually NEVER release the money to the homeowner because they are afraid of the homeowner taking off with it and not paying the contractor.

My wife and I have been working with WF Loss Mitigation Dept. in an attempt to save our home. We started the process back in 11/09 was told that we needed to provide all the documentation they needed - and we did so. After about a month we received the foreberance paperwork indicating they were reducing our payments for 4 months with a huge ballon payment due on the 5th month. Prior to signing the foreberance agreement, I called WF who we received the paperwork from and explained that if I did not get a job during the 4 month period - ther would be no way we could make the payment. I was told not to be concerned since I would be hearing from the HAMP investigator by the 3rd or 4th month and they would come to our home to evaluate and assist us through the process. Well, we did everything they asked for - resent an updated hardship letter and financial worksheet during the 3rd month. The ballon payment was due in April and since we had not heard from the HAMP investigator or anyone else - I then contacted them to find out where the HAMP investigator was. This is when the song they were singing in the beginning changed dramatically. I was told there would be no HAMP investigator and they were sorry that someone told us that - and that since we defaulted on the forberance agreement by not making the ballon payment that was due in April (I and my wife are both unemployed) the only thing we could do is resubmit all the paperwork and then they would see if we quilfy for the HAMP program - still waiting to here from the loss mitigation department about our resubmitted paperwork. I have contacted them every week to make sure they have all the information they need, but the phone numbers with the 10 digit extension don't work and you can not get in touch with anyone half the time. I did get a letter from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage letting us know they would be forclosing on our home within 30 - 90 days. So they maybe their answer.

As for the employee who had the guts to blame the problems on the customer - well all I can say to him - go to hell, you are a horrible employee if you believe all you wrote and you should look for another job if you don't want to help people and believe it is all their fault. Things are the way they are because of people/employees just like him. Young and stupid no doubt.

Will keep this updated as we get info from Wells Fargo.

My mother sold a house;however, left it in her name until the loan was paid off. 10 years later, the homeowner died and WFB started calling me(as my mom also passed). I tried working with WFB Loss Mitigation...it was bull ###. I was told more different strories by so many different people, I could never figure out what to do. Finally, I was accepted into Loss Mitigation- I sent them check(s) for $1, 070.00. They retruned the checks because I sent them Money Grams(which they do not accept). After I found that out I had them debit my Regions Bank account. Later, they said my payment was late...they are full of ### and and I got an attorney involved. WFB Loss Mitigatation sucks...I talked to so many different peoople and everyone had a different opinion at WFB. I almost had a nervous breakdown. Now WFB has a 27 page inditment filed in Circuit Court. WFB should be ashamed of how we have been treated. I wish we could file a Class action suit. My house is only worth 10, 000 dollars, as a tree feel on it because WFB gave me crappy insurance. I live worse than I ever lived in my life! I will save my mom's house...period! I WILL win!

I Think Wells Fargo "Gets Off" throwing people under the buss intentionally. I have a friend here in Florida who's time table almost exactly matches your. NOW she's being offered a "Loss MItigation" option, at a fee of course, So that when the forclosure goes through in a few weeks (and it cant be stopped) she won't loose as much money. I've read dozens of these situations concerning Wells Fargo and I can't understand why this is allowed or can even happen.

I completed my application for a loan modification in October. With each letter and call to Wells Fargo I told them, "Call me if you need anything else." They never called but when I called them to see what was happening, they said they needed something else (except that the time before they said they had everything they needed). In November they told me I couldn't make partial payments, so i didn't. In January they called and said I had to make a payment or I would be in default. They also said I had to resubmit my paperwork because it was now more than 60 days old. I resubmitted my paperwork but decided not to make January's payment (I was told by my Wells Fargo representative that loans in default were given priority). I'm now in default, my credit has been trashed, and my Wells Fargo representative has stopped returning my calls. What really puzzles me is that Wells Fargo was able to approve my original loan from application to funding in 10 days. So why have 4 months passed and I still can't get a decision from them one way or the other. It seems pretty obvious that Obama's bailout money went to pad Wells Fargo's executive's pockets and not to homeowner's like me who really need the help. Shame on you Wells Fargo. If anyone know of a class action lawsuit, I'd love to join it.

Most of the banks and mortgage companies will not try and help you save your home.
If you want great honest help, go to www.naca.com. This is a reputable nonprofit

Wells Fargo online bill pay

I was a long time customer of Wachovia Bank. The most important feature was my flawless online banking experience. As I learn now they were a rare find. You entered your bills to be paid by the date you needed them paid. This kept you from having to guess as to when your payment would leave your account and when the money would make it to the payee. If a paper check needed to be mailed, Wachovia gave you an estimate as to when the payment would be received by the payee. Most important, the money did not leave your account until the check was presented to the bank for payment. The accuracy in which they had the timing was unbelievable. I never had a payee get a mailed check before the payment date I entered.

Now with Wells Fargo, not only do they not get the check in a timely manner; but they can barely get my electronic payments out on time. Why does it take so much longer for payments to reach billers opposed to my old bank? I am just another loyal Wachovia customer looking for a better bank to call home. This is another example of a company buying out a business and failing to do their home work. They should have taken the best of both banks and built one better bank. Instead they just made one big flawed Wells Fargo.

Thanks for letting me vent

I loved paying by bills on line with Wachovia. What computer programer ### came up with the extremely unfriendly bill pay system for Wells Fargo? I hate it! And, I couldn't get a straight answer from the "customer representative" as to when are funds subtracted from my account and when does a payee get paid? It is a nightmare! I have so many accounts with Wells Fargo, but I am going to start closing them out as fast as practicable for me (with direct deposits, etc, etc.). What a nightmare!

If Wells Fargo intends, as they say, to make sure that money is available in your account when an online billpay check they send eventually clears, they could put a hold on the money. They know how. They do it with credit card authorizations and the like.

But obviously their intention is to get free use of your money into their float. I call it stealing.

That is why my account will be closed before the end of this month.

It used to be that people had a bad opinion of used car salesmen. Bankers and the thieves on Wall Street take top rating now. I'd trust a used car salesman with my money a lot faster than I would anyone in the banking and financial industry.

By the way - when I told the officer at Wells Fargo why I was closing my account, she said go ahead - she did not care.

I too have just read the Wells Fargo online billing policy, where they state that money that I send to payees is deducted on the "send" date, rather than the "pay" date. Can someone explain how this can be legal? If the bill hasn't been "paid", where is the money that was deducted on the "send" date - 5 days earlier. Example: You get paid via electronic deposit on the 28th of the month. Your mortgage is due on the 30th. Under Wells Fargo, you will be late on the mortgage payment, because you can't send it 5 days earlier, like you could with Wachovia, because they will deduct the payment when you send it, not when your mortgage company receives it. So where is all the money (from hundreds of thousands of customers) that apparently is taken from the account when they "send" it? Do they physically take it from your account and mail it? Obviously not. This is just another example of a big bank out of control. Given all the complaints I've read about Wells Fargo, I'm looking for another bank.

They suppress anything that interferes with them stealing your money. Credits are held 3-5 average, Payments are deducted and held to overdraw the account. Deposits appear to be credited to the account through the online system. However, if you go to the atm machine this is where things get interesting. You must create a record keeping trail that covers ATM printouts daily, Online Printouts every 6 hours and this includes everything from deposits, withdrawals, checks, bills paid, transfers, etc. Nevertheless, you are leaving so that is good. Do not bank online because it is one other way for them to steal your time and confuse. Old fashioned way ledger is the best and keep your balance in the bank low and manageable. If you can stay away from direct deposit because that only helps the employer not have to pay bank fees for the business. Deposit cash when you can and print out the atm receipts and ask for a small account summary from the clerk regularly and start protecting yourself. I will handle wells fargo after I take care of this investigation and suit of this other bank that has been almost 3 years of work... for fraud... All the best..

I noticed wells fargo shows the payment being made but not posted to account until 3-5 days later...giving a false balance. RUN!

Wells Fargo auto loans

Wells Fargo's underhanded business dealing are not limited to Home Loans/Mortgages. I was unfortunate enough to not only have my primary checking and savings accounts through Wells Fargo, but my Auto Loan as well.
Like many others I was caught in this trap when Wells Fargo bought out Wachovia. While dealing with Wachovia for several years before the take over I had no problems with either my online banking or the Auto Loan. On the rare occasions a mistake was discovered the customer service people at Wachovia were always courteous and helpful. After the take over I closed my banking accounts upon discovering that I was being charged NSF charges on debits drawn on my automatic payroll deposit which was held for 2 weeks or longer on every deposit leaving me constantly in debt. Unfortunately I was unable to transfer the car loan. Last spring due to an unauthorized payment by an outside party drawn on my private checking account, my auto payment was returned. I was unaware of this until notified by the bank several weeks after the event. On investigating, the problem was located, and shortly after I was contacted by Wells Fargo via USPS and they were made aware of the situation. As my next payment was now due I attempted to go on-line as I had always done but was unable to complete the transaction as I was now "locked out". Without an address to send the payment to I was now 2 months in arrears! This has been a constant nightmare of trying to "catch up" for almost 1/2 a year. Yesterday my 2004 Dodge Durango was taken from my home along with my camera, my medications, my purse containing close to $400.00 in cash, credit cards, debit card, checks and other banking information, my social security card, etc. leaving me financially destitute and with out my prescription medication which I am unable to replace over the weekend. This occurred AFTER I had made a payment in the required loan amount of $460.10 3 days prior as per an agreement made via telephone the proceeding week! I have been deceived and lied to by these people who I have since discovered receive a commission on any money paid. I have been promised extensions, refinancing options, discontinuation of collection proceedings... anything to get more money from me! I have been constantly harassed to point where I hate speaking to these obnoxious people as it just seems to go no where other the making me angry and frustrated. I am constantly called at work even though I have stated it is placing my job in jeopardy. A pox on Wells Fargo and it's lying, deceitful minions! If anyone out there is considering a class action suite against these shysters please count me in!

In follow up I did finally receive my check from them on Dec 18. They were Paid in full on Nov 4, released the lean on Nov 19, mailed a check that was lost in the mail. I will never do banking with them again. Wells Fargo Dealer services, in my opinion, with held my check for a month only to collect interest. Hope they don't "lose" your check. Good luck.

Had a similar experience with holding of funds by WFDS. I accidently paid my loan payment twice in one month. Just try getting money back from these thieves. I've had my own personal bank involved and they said they've never seen anything like this. I started requesting a refund on November 29, 2010. Twice they've told me "the fax request has not been received" even though I have a verification from my bank that the request was sent. I'm now filing a complaint with the New York State Attorney General's Office. If you've had a similar problem, I suggest you do the same with your Attorney General. You're right - it's wrong.

12/6/2010--
I feel that Wells Fargo Dealer Services, WFDS, is willfully withholding due funds in excess of $520.00 following overpayment after the sale of my vehicle.
My vehicle loan was paid in full and received by WFDS on 11/04/2010 after overnight mailing of payment to WFDS. The excess payment of $528.oo was said to be sent out when WFDS would release the title. The release of the title did not occur till 11/19/2010. With the overage check to be mailed the following day, Saturday 11/20. The check was not mailed till the following Friday 11/26. The reason this time was due to the refund needing approval because it was in "excess of 500". I consider this an obvious stalling technique. The check was supposedly mailed on Friday 11/26 and has yet to be received through late Monday 12/06. With my last contact with WFDS @ 16:13 12/06 revealing a new check could be issued but not until 30 days have passed. In my mind I consider this extreme incompetence at best or possibly a fraudulent scam to withhold due funds. WFDS refuses to do wire transfers into my personal bank or to local Wells Fargo banks. They have not been receptive to providing me with any sort of tracking. This is not right.

I can relate to your pain and dilemma. My 2006 Sonata was repossessed from my home on Septemeber 11, 2010 and it was because of a payment that was asked to be placed at the back of the schedule since 2008. I am a teacher and we get paid on a schedule. Was awaiting my payment to make the September payment and next I know... the car is gone. I talked with them to get my car back for a while, but was told by several others to use my money wisely and go elsewhere because of their devious actions. I would probably pay and not get my car back. So, I took their advice and went elsewhere to get another car. Yes, they are very deceptive. Never will I deal with Wells Fargo again. ***And yes all payments had been made each month. I was not behind on a payment, just a few days late on the September one.
