Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how WeddingWire handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with WeddingWire and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

WeddingWire WeddingWire Review: Discontinued Tools, Insensitive Customer Service, and Fake Inquiries - A Nightmare for Small Businesses

WeddingWire, oh boy, where do I even begin? I have been a loyal customer of theirs for years, relying on their online customer management tools to keep my small business running smoothly. But then, out of nowhere, they decided to discontinue the very tools that I had come to depend on. All of my clients' information was stored within their platform, and now it was all gone. To make matters worse, they continued to charge me the same amount, even though they had taken away the very reason I was paying them in the first place.

When I reached out to their customer service rep, Allison Mayes, to express my frustration and disappointment, she responded in a way that was completely insensitive to my concerns. She basically told me that they could do whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted, and that I was obligated to pay them regardless. I mean, seriously? I was paying for a service that they no longer provided, and they were still expecting me to fork over my hard-earned money?

I decided that enough was enough and sent them a letter telling them that I would no longer be paying them until they reinstated the tools that I needed. But then, something strange happened. I started getting inquiries for my business - something that hadn't happened in years. I began to wonder if maybe I had made a mistake in cutting ties with WeddingWire.

So, I manually sent them a payment, hoping that maybe things would start to turn around. But then, I found out that the inquiries were fake, and WeddingWire was still demanding payment from me. I sent them proof of my payment, but they continued to insist that I owed them money.

Now, I can't even log into my account, and I haven't heard a peep from anyone at WeddingWire. They took my money, shut me out of my account, and left me high and dry. I'm beyond frustrated and angry at this point, and I'm seriously considering taking legal action against them. Small businesses like mine shouldn't be treated this way, and I wouldn't recommend WeddingWire to anyone.

WeddingWire WeddingWire Review: A Despicable Way to Do Business - Don't Waste Your Money

We were a bit hesitant about advertising on weddingwire or the knot, but we decided to give weddingwire a try. Unfortunately, after six months, we didn't receive a single real lead. We did get one fake lead, though. Weddingwire promises a certain amount of clicks to your storefront, but as soon as you receive those clicks, they drop you from the standings. This company relies on people who are willing to take chances, and unfortunately, we lost. It happens.

We gave weddingwire one star because they charge a monthly fee to be "seen" by brides. Their "free" listing isn't seen by anyone unless they search for it on a search engine like Google, Yahoo, or Bing. If your "free" business profile shows up next to your website, the client may click on weddingwire's site instead of yours. Once they're on your weddingwire "free" profile, they'll see a competitor of yours. This is a despicable way to do business, and it's actually illegal. You can ask weddingwire to delete your "free" profile.

The monthly fee promises an average number of clicks, but you never actually get those clicks. They could be from a 12-year-old who's planning her fantasy wedding on weddingwire and clicks on your profile. You lose a click just like that. As for the reviews, customers don't write them because they want to. Businesses ask them to. It's like asking your family and friends to write you a good review. You could even pay people to write you a good review. It's rigged.

The "badges" that vendors get are supposed to be awards, but anyone can advertise on weddingwire. They don't care about the quality of services that vendors offer to brides. Photographers, DJs, wedding planners, and other vendors can advertise on weddingwire, even if they're not very good. It's a dangerous thing to book vendors on weddingwire. You could end up with a software engineer who owns a crappy camera.

Sorry for the long post, but most people don't go into detail about how bad weddingwire's whole system really is.

WeddingWire WeddingWire Forums: Helpful Resource or Playground for Bullies?

WeddingWire is a great resource for brides-to-be who are looking for reviews and resources for their big day. However, there are some issues with the forums on the site that need to be addressed. There is a group of 10-15 women who have formed a clique and will condemn anyone who has a different opinion than what is considered the norm on the site. These women will scrutinize your ideas, demean you, and make unruly comments. They are catty and if you dare respond in the same manner that they have been responding to other members, you will be flagged and they will be able to stay and continue harassing and demeaning others.

I have witnessed these "ladies" literally crucify people for having a different opinion, for not having enough resources to have what they would consider to be an elite wedding, and for not having the same cultural beliefs and etiquette as many of them appear to have. After watching several posters become upset or lose confidence, I made it my mission to point out to members that what they were doing was wrong. However, when they responded to me with blatant disrespect and sarcasm and I responded with the same blatant sarcasm, I was flagged and they were able to continue to harass and demean others without reprimand. They will then point out the rules and how they know how to get around them. It's frustrating to see these immature brats terrorize other members for different views. They condone these individuals to do as they please. Perhaps, they are part of the WW team and get special privileges.

If you want to check out their website or if you doubt me, go and see for yourself. This forum is obnoxious and needs to be checked. WW should be ashamed of themselves for condoning such behavior when they are such a good resource for brides to be. I hope that they make changes and realize that if they do not stop allowing this kind of behavior from bullies on their forum, they are going to lose membership. It's happened to big sites such as Friendster, Myspace, etc. If they believe that this can not happen to them, they are highly mistaken. It is wrong and I really do not like the experience that I and others have had on this site. You literally had people stating that they have become depressed or upset because of comments that have been made and even if they are flagged, they are still able to continue to terrorize people.

Despite the issues with the forums, I will admit that WeddingWire is helpful in other areas such as reviews and resources. However, they need to make some serious changes to their forums. It's a shame that such a resourceful site condones such hateful and immature behavior.

WeddingWire WeddingWire Review: A Scam Company That Preys on Small Businesses

I gotta say, I was pretty skeptical about signing up with WeddingWire (weddingwire.com) for my small photography business. But they assured me that if I didn't get any bookings through them within 6 months, they'd give me a refund. Well, let me tell you, that was a load of baloney. I've been stuck in a contract with them for 7 months now, and they won't let me out of it. And to top it off, they clearly play favorites with their long-time customers, making sure their ads pop up first while mine is stuck on page 4. It's like they don't care about the little guys like me.

And don't even get me started on their customer service. I've corresponded with Danielle S. several times, and it's been a complete waste of time. All she does is offer useless suggestions and try to cover her own butt by showing that she's reached out to me. But what good does that do me? I'm still stuck in a contract that's clearly not working for me.

I mean, sure, I've gotten a few emails from potential clients through WeddingWire, but they're clearly just mass emails sent to a bunch of vendors. And even when I follow up with them multiple times, I never get any bookings or even a conversation. It's like they're fake emails or something. Meanwhile, I've been advertising on Facebook and actually getting some business that way.

So, my advice to anyone thinking about signing up with WeddingWire: don't waste your time or money. They're clearly a scam company that preys on small businesses like mine. Stick with Facebook or other more reputable sites. And WeddingWire, if you're reading this, don't bother replying with some canned response. You guys are worthless.

WeddingWire WeddingWire's Forum Section: A Haven for Bullies and Admins Who Turn a Blind Eye

When I first stumbled upon WeddingWire, I was ecstatic. I couldn't believe how easy it was to navigate and how many resources were available to help me plan my dream wedding. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I decided to check out the forum section of the site.

I made a simple post asking for opinions on whether or not I should wear a tiara for my royal-themed castle wedding. Most of the responses were kind and helpful, but one woman in particular was incredibly rude and aggressive. She asked if I was royalty and claimed that wearing a tiara would make my wedding look like a childish sweet 16 party. When I asked her why she was being so harsh, she simply replied that it was a public forum and she could say whatever she wanted.

I flagged her responses and even tried to defend myself, but my comments were removed along with the comments of other women who agreed that the rude woman was being catty. It was like being back in high school, and I couldn't believe that the admins weren't doing anything to stop the bullying.

I'm convinced that there is a group of unhappy and bitter women on the site who enjoy attacking others. It's clear that the admins are biased and don't enforce their anti-bullying policy. They claim to carefully review every flagged response and compare it to their strict guidelines, but they clearly fail to see where a comment or opinion crosses the line into actual insult.

I showed the forum to my coworkers and bridesmaids, and they were all appalled by the behavior of the rude woman and the lack of action from the admins. It's clear that they must know her personally, because her behavior shouldn't be acceptable on any platform.

I know that an admin will likely respond to this review with the same generic message about contacting them with questions or concerns, but I won't waste my time. It's clear that they won't resolve anything, and I want to warn others about their ineffective community guidelines and enforcement.

WeddingWire WeddingWire Review: A Reliable Platform for Growing Your Wedding Business with Exceptional Support from Mike Dillon

The wedding industry is a tough business, and it takes a lot of effort to stand out from the competition. As a wedding photographer with over 38 years of experience, I know that customer satisfaction is key. That's why I was hesitant to sign up with WeddingWire, despite their persistent calls over the years. However, in 2017, we decided to give it a try after seeing a slight dip in our numbers due to the influx of new photographers in our area.

At first, we were skeptical of WeddingWire's sales pitch, which seemed to promise unsubstantiated percentage increases. But after speaking with Mike Dillon, we were pleasantly surprised by his helpfulness and expertise. Mike was a breath of fresh air, and he provided us with monthly updates and responsive support whenever we needed it. He showed us how to best showcase our business on WeddingWire, and we were impressed by his professionalism and dedication.

Unfortunately, we didn't receive the same level of support from the rest of the WeddingWire sales staff. While Mike was always there to help, we never heard from anyone else at the company. This was in stark contrast to our experience with The Knot, which also provided us with excellent support and won us the Best of Weddings award in our first year.

Despite this, we were happy with our decision to sign up with WeddingWire, and we saw a significant increase in our business as a result. However, we eventually decided to stop our paid listing due to the overall numbers. Nevertheless, we would definitely work with Mike again in the future, as he was a true superstar who went above and beyond to support our business.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a reliable and knowledgeable partner for your wedding business, I would definitely recommend WeddingWire. While their sales staff may not be the most attentive, their platform is a great way to reach new customers and grow your business. And if you're lucky enough to work with someone like Mike Dillon, you'll be in great hands.

WeddingWire WeddingWire: A Trap for Small Businesses - My Experience and Warning

I decided to give WeddingWire a try since they offer free services. However, I soon realized that their free services come with a catch. I started receiving calls and emails asking me to schedule a "Welcome Call" to verify my account. I had no intention of buying a paid membership, but the lady on the phone convinced me to sign up for the lowest package. She promised me leads, page traffic, and revenue. She even offered me a 15% discount that was only available at that time. I fell for it and made my first mistake.

My second mistake was not researching their services before the call. If you look beyond their paid ads, you'll see that many people have had negative experiences with WeddingWire. They make empty promises and take people's money without delivering results.

My third mistake was not paying attention to the terms of the contract. I thought I was signing up for a month-to-month membership, but I later found out that I had agreed to a fixed initial term of one year. I tried to cancel my membership only a few hours after signing up, but they refused to let me out of the contract.

WeddingWire is not small business-friendly. They trap you in a one-year contract and make it difficult to cancel. They promise leads and revenue, but they don't deliver. They are only interested in making money, not helping small businesses grow.

If you're a big business with money to spend, then maybe WeddingWire is for you. But if you're a small business trying to build a portfolio, then you're better off spending your money elsewhere. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Do your research before signing up for any paid services.

I'm still trying to find a way out of my contract without ruining my credit or getting sued. WeddingWire is a leech that preys on small businesses. Stay away from them if you can.

WeddingWire WeddingWire Review: More Focused on Making Money Than Helping Couples and Vendors

Hey there, I just wanted to share my thoughts on WeddingWire. I've been using their services as a vendor for a while now, and I have to say, I'm not entirely impressed.

First off, I understand that WeddingWire is a business and they need to make money. But I don't think it's fair that they require vendors to sign a 12-month contract. If they truly believed in their business model, they wouldn't need to force vendors to stay with them. And from what I've seen in reviews on Google, Chrome, and Firefox, some vendors have had issues with not receiving the promised amount of inquiries.

I also take issue with the language used in their responses to vendors. Saying that couples will "go with competitors" if vendors don't sign up for their services is just a sales tactic. Couples choose vendors based on fit, quality, and price, and vendors should be able to compete fairly.

It seems to me that WeddingWire is more focused on making money than helping couples and vendors. They push big money vendors and seem to forget that the wedding industry is about helping people. We need more help in the world right now, not more greed.

And to top it all off, their pricing seems to be inconsistent. I've been offered monthly prices ranging from $180 to $225, depending on which sales agent I talk to and how many new accounts they've brought in.

I'm not trying to attack anyone personally, but I do think WeddingWire needs to reevaluate their priorities. They should be focused on doing the right thing and helping others, not just making money. I know this probably won't change, but I hope they remember where they came from and why they started this business in the first place.

As a vendor, I choose to promote other vendors and venues above my own business. It's not about the money for me, it's about helping others. I wish WeddingWire had the same mindset.

In the end, we all have a choice. Vendors can choose to advertise with companies that share their values. I just hope that WeddingWire remembers that the wedding industry is about helping couples and vendors find and receive the wedding of their dreams.

Thanks for reading,
Tori Reigle

WeddingWire Customer service

Through a pandemic, and now almost 10 years later I have paid this company $14.400 and did not have a return on my investment. In my category of cakes I realized that there are 97 total "companies" listed. What i consider to be a bakery is an actual storefront. Not home bakers. Out of 97 there are 57+ companies that are listed that list no address. So how do they consider themselves a company servings bakeries but are not official bakeries. So pre-covid I was paying $110 per month and then increased to $175 without my knowledge or some sort of notification, they call it a renewal. However, a renewal all the terms of the contract stay the same including the price unless notified-right? Nope there excuse is its on your dashboard...NOT ACCEPTABLE. I questioned this and that was my account executives response. I won many couples choice awards, however you have to pay $60+ dollars to get an official plaque. In order to win you need (5) reviews by clients, I received (3), not five and know that it was due to my renewal coming up. Once I made my complaints knows I got an influx of inquiries by potential clients, ALL GARBAGE. Not one out of the 20+ did any person get back and respond. In the past few years I have received several spam inquiries leading you along and then asking for personal information or wanting to add services and see if I took cheques. Their vetting process stinks. If you click on a vendor you are interested in I would get an email, but then the next day wedding wire would send three potential other vendors of the same category and email to contact them. NOT ACCEPTABLE. So the first page of vendors I was on that page, paid for it but the next six pages were all unpaid bakers, these people were "FREE" and did not have to pay monthly and they could list their starting price less than someone that actually is a professional and pays out the A** to be listed. I tried to cancel at the time and could not as my account executive said you cant cancel before the date.

I did cancel my account yesterday and she asked were there any reasons? I said many reasons and Hannah did not even take the time to ask why? Some executive who really cares.

Wedding wire is the one that will get your SEO, you are not getting any of the benefit of that so its taking your money, very little return and throwing it out the window!

Desired outcome: refund of $50 for two years. $1,200

WeddingWire Stole my Domain

I purchased a domain through Wedding Wire thinking I would use their website platform only to find it incredibly confusing and hard to use, especially for my guests. I went and found another platform and asked Wedding Wire to send me the credentials over in order to forward the website domain onto another platform. I've asked them twice now and they said that they refuse to give it to me.

I spoke with the domain hosting site that Wedding Wire uses, EuroDSN, and they said that because my actual name isn't attached, legally they can't release it to me.

I paid $24.00 for it and it is rightfully mine. I also spent hundreds of dollars on creating wedding invitations with MY website domain and can't send them out now until this is resolved. I am extremely upset and would just like my domain credentials immediately. It's holding up my wedding planning and it's completely unethical.

Desired outcome: I want my credentials immediately.

WeddingWire Refused to let me speak with a supervisor

I opened a wedding venue during the pandemic. I reached out to Wedding Wire to try to promote the venue. I was very clear that I was concerned about a number of issues but I felt might affect Wedding Wire's ability to promote the venue. All of my concerns have become a reality. When I reached out for support and asked to speak to a supervisor the person I spoke with refused to provide me with the name or contact information to her superior. I just want to talk to somebody who actually cares but I have spent thousands of dollars with absolutely zero return. It just seems like good business to work with someone who could be a lifelong customer if they were just hear me out and work with me.

Desired outcome: Speak with a supervisor NOT Casey!!

WeddingWire harassment by kathryn cannella of massachusetts

I am just this complaint based upon what this girl has done to me. I was a small-time business owner for makeup Artistry and when she was unsatisfied with my work she put a complaint up on this site. It has been ongoing since 2016 with her harassing messages calling me fat, a drug addict, and Oompa Loompa, ugly, as well as making fun of my deceased husband and brother. I just need to make people aware of her conniving ways so that you can avoid being a victim. I did research on her on this website and seemingly she complains and is unhappy with everyone she runs into. I went to the police and took her to court and filed a harassment order against her. But that still did not stop her, the phone calls, the text messages and the private messages on Facebook continued. 5 years later I am still getting comments from her.
Seemingly she is above everybody and the law. She is severely struck by mental illness which makes me feel sad however it does not her give her the license to harass anybody.
That still did not stop her.

WeddingWire professional account

I am a small business owner who made the terrible decision to pay WeddingWire to be a "Professional" account holder. In return for my $100+/month fee, I was promised 8-10 leads per month.

Month one - 6 leads
Month two - 3 leads
Month three - 3 leads

The only two of these total of 12 leads I received in 3 months that responded to me were looking for services that my business clearly does not provide. I honestly believe the other 10 leads were fake.

When I emailed requesting assistance with garnering leads and finding value in the money that I'm paying them, NO ONE RESPONDED TO ME. When I emailed again a month later, the reply I received explained that my previous email must have been "lost in the shuffle" from when they recently partnered with TheKnot. I was then promised that this employee was sending an urgent ticket to the account strategist team who would be in touch with me in the next day or two to help me with my account.

Two more weeks went by, and I heard nothing from anyone on their staff.

I finally emailed again and asked if they could please just cancel my account. They refused over and over again to do so, claiming that I have "a 12 month contract" from which they refuse to release my business.

I don't understand why anyone would want to retain clients that are so obviously unhappy with their services, but I suppose that scamming small business owners for one year is the only way that they make money. I cannot imagine any other small businesses stay with them for longer than their contract term.

I'm incredibly disheartened, and feel like I've been conned out of over $1300, but what am I to do?

I implore you or anyone you know to steer clear of signing any agreements with WeddingWire, as they are certain to take your money and not deliver on their end of the deal.

If I had it all to do over again, I would have avoided them altogether. I guess that's the thing about starting a business on your own for the first time... you learn many lessons the hard way. Hopefully, if this is your first time, my review will help to better inform your decision about working with them.

Best of luck!

WeddingWire unethical behavior

This site condones unethical behavior to potential users/customers of their website. They allow people to get cyber bullied and when complaints are made, they reply with "They were following guidelines" even though members were allowed to demean and torment people with different beliefs, etiquette, financial status and opinions. It is usually the same individuals that constantly get away with this after several complaints and they band together to flag you if they disagree with your opinion. Furthermore, weddingwire knows that these women are bending the rules and are blatantly disrespecting and cyber bullying people...Just within their guidelines. Is this what a decent place of business accepts and encourages. Members have even stated that they are depressed or hurt over these same individuals that are allowed to bully potential customers/users of a site that is supposed to be a place where brides to be are to receive advice and support for the biggest day of their lives. I am hoping that this as well as other complaints pertaining to this issue gets the attention of weddingwire so they can weed out those who are the main perpetrators of the above despicable actions so that the site can be a safer and cyber bully free zone. However, if after several complaints were made and getting band for standing up to these cyber bullies, it appears that these members are allowed to continue their lawlessness and weddingwire staff encourages it. I just want them to know that I will make complaints to anyone who has ears and let them know that a place of business that condones cyber bullying on potential customers/users of this site is unacceptable and their service, therefore, should be avoided until they get their acts together and realize that when you are doing business, all ethical and moral standards should be taken seriously.

WeddingWire expensive, no support

If you have a small business or just started it, WeddingWire is the worst place for providing your service.
Not only because they are very expensive, but also because their vendor support works like a crap.
For the money I pay I would like to get a decent support and service, but instead of this, I get nothing. What they perfectly do is taking your money away. That's all.
So you better look for other places.

WeddingWire Rude women

What a terrible place! Rude women from this forum should be burnt on fire for everything they post, say and comment on there.
No wonder new users are often run away. I experienced the same and once I was attacked by several angry women I decided I wanted to delete my profile and never come back.
So my question is: is there anyone from customer service who checks the topics, sees what those women post and how they treat each other? I don't know how, but someone must stop those idiots.
It's a huge terrarium that should stop existing!

I would not recommend C. to anyone I know. I did a trial with her and I was horrified, my fiance was horrified, and everyone I sent pictures too was horrified. She came in, and did tell me she was having a rough day so I was willing to excuse a few things, but in the end was very unprofessional and didn't care about making me happy at all. WeddingWire Very disappointed.

WeddingWire was definitely not helpful at all. I had a difficult situation and decided to ask someone from WeddingWire for an advice. The girls on the forum just personally attacked me! Girls were extremely rude and impolite. I deleted all my comments and just wanted to forget about what happened. But several hours later I checked the site and noticed that those girls were still commenting with rude, senseless, unhelpful remarks page after page. I was so upset reading all those comments about myself. I am an unhappy client and I will never use this website again. Very disappointed.

WeddingWire In-depth Review

In summary, WeddingWire is a comprehensive platform that offers a wide range of services for wedding planning. It provides an extensive list of vendors, useful planning tools, and a user-friendly experience. However, there are areas where it could improve, such as clearer pricing details and more responsive vendor communication.

1. Overview of WeddingWire Services

WeddingWire is a platform that helps couples plan their wedding. It has a large database of vendors for different services like venues, photographers, and caterers. They also offer planning tools like checklists and guest lists to help with organization.

2. Ease of Use and Website Navigation
