Webuydvds dvds and cds (2017)

Sent a lot of dvds and cds, to this Company, Webuydvds co.uk, Unit h, c/o Safestore, Colina Ave, Sunderland, SR5 3XF.
Never received any payment, they kept sending me messages we have not received your address to send the cheque to, when you send them your address, you still do not get paid, all they do is send you the same email.

I have put the matter in the hands of the Trading Standards,

Webuydvds Poor service

Avoid Like the Plague

Like many others on here, I appear to have been taken for a ride by this shoddy company. They received my DVDs on the 14 June 2016 and to date I still have not received any payment for the DVDs that I sent them in good faith.

They just keep informing me that my cheque is waiting to be printed. I will be contacting Trading Standards today to ensure that every step is taken to close down their business and if necessary, I will seek redress through the small claims court.

They are clearly not honest and will just keep you waiting and waiting for your money.

Do not be fooled by the offer of better prices like I was because the chances of you seeing your money is very slim.

You have been warned - Avoid like the plague.

Webuydvds These people are scammers!

I decided to sell all my DVDs to WeBuyDVDs because they offered me the best price. I sent them about 70 pieces of DVDs and heard nothing back. I had to contact them myself only to be told that all of my DVDs were in a poor condition and they were not able to accept them!
Lies! There was nothing wrong with them and I do stand behind my words!
They said that they can send everything back to me but I have to pay for the return shipping! Not only I did not get any payment but I also lost my money!
Do not deal with these clowns!

Webuydvds Customer service

Submitted 69 DVDS on 24/01/2016 (I posted on 26/01/2016) to receive £28.76. It's now 11/04/2016, they only supposedly passed £18.26 and THEY HAVE STILL NOT SENT THE CHEQUE. I have sent numerous emails, they have acknowledged they have received my parcel. Their staff (which I suspect is one person) are useless. According to them they have an increase in customers which they fail to inform prior to a customer doing business with them.

I am disgusted. The police have been informed and I will be speaking to trading standards. I would advise you use a more legitimate and trustworthy website because these people/person are rip off merchants who do not deserve to have customers and hopefully will not be I'm business much longer.

I think I have been as patient as I can but this is going on for the third month and enough is enough. Clearly, I am not the first customer to have this problem yet they continue to give excuses for their lack of ability.

Webuydvds Selling of used DVDs - full money was not sent

Well, I thought I'd try a new company instead of Magpie as this company seemed to pay over the odds - well they do because they don't pay you for all of them. Was quoted £20+ and when I eventually got my cheque (and I had to chase for that!) they deducted over £7. Ironically the discs they deducted were the highest price ones - highlighting that they were damaged or scratched even though we look after our discs and I checked them all before being sent. Don't use - they make you feel you are going to get more - but they make sure you don't through their 'quality checks'!

I'm still waiting for payment after 6 weeks get emails back saying the printer for the cheques isnt working..
But maybe we should all club together and get illegal advice?

Webuydvds Selling dvds online

I sent DVDs in November 2015 to this company. They have a good website and the ability to send the DVDs was easy but... payment was guaranteed to take 9 days from the receipt of the DVDS and I am still waiting for the cheque on 18th December. I have exchanged e-mails with the company and they use a variety of excuses as to the delay. I have been told that my cheque has been posted but still no sign of it! I would not use this company again and I see that other people have made similar complaints.

Webuydvds Three months wait for reluctant payment

FEELS LIKE FRAUD I wish I had seen the reviews on other sites before sending my DVDs. I have finally received payment 3 months after WeBuyDvds processed my stock, but I had to fight for it. My DVDs were viewed once or new & factory sealed, pristine & mint. I photographed my DVDs before sending. Three were apparently unplayable and had damaged artwork. No opportunity to contest. They were 'destroyed' according to policy. What nonsense. I can only imagine how much additional money they make by skimming an extra pound or two off the top of the original agreed price of every customer. The 'cheque pending' wait time was a month. Two weeks after 'issue' the cheque hadn't arrived and I had to email to inform them. As a 'gesture of goodwill' they agreed to re-issue the cheque without charging me the £12.50 admin fee. This is a well-oiled fraud machine that should be avoided at all costs and will be avoided by me for certain.

Webuydvds Processing and payment

WeBuyDvd has really shoddy customer service. 1. The terms and conditions state that they will not pay for DVDs that are damaged in anyway. Not unreasonable. However, I am now of the belief that they use this condition to reduce payment to customers by small enough amounts so as to not be contested. I have used this company on three separate occasions (you would think I would learn). On each occasion, I painstakingly went through each DVD ensuring that it was in immaculate condition. Most had been watched only once. Many were factory sealed. And still some were rejected and destroyed without explanation. 2. I had sent the goods 18.08.15. My order was acknowledged after I prompted them via email to say that the tracking system had confirmed delivery of my parcel. My order was then PENDING for weeks. I prompted them again via email to learn that they were having difficulty keeping up with issuing cheques. This problem has been experienced by numerous other customers. I HAVE HAD A DELAY WITH RECEIVING THE CHEQUE ON EVERY OCCASION I HAVE USED THEM. Company cash flow problem perhaps? My account details now state that a cheque has been issued which is emphatically untrue. It is 2 weeks since I received an email informing me that the CHEQUE WAS ON ITS WAY. Rubbish. So it's now 30.10.15, coming up to three months from my first dealing with the company and I still haven't been paid for the DVDs I sent in good faith. I EMPHATICALLY WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES COULD I BE PREVAILED UPON TO RECOMMEND THE COMPANY TO OTHERS. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. READ OTHER REVIEWS THE PROBLEMS ARE REMARKABLY SIMILAR WHICH WOULD SUGGEST THEY ARE ENDEMIC.

Webuydvds Customer service and payment

Pathetic from start to finish. Finally got the money I was owed after nearly 3 months. I didn't receive my second cheque and they said as a goodwill gesture they would resend but usually I would incur a £12.50 cost to send another! Contacted Citizens Advice who said this is clearly in breach of contract. They also wouldn't pay for a small number of items, all of which I had vetted to website specifications before sending. They advertise a better price but with Music Magpie I got the cash much quicker and the service suggested a proper company rather than a tin-pot outfit.

Webuydvds Failed 6 dvds out of 20 all dvds

This Company webuydvds should be illegal to trade they are a Joke Failed 6 dvds out of 20 all dvds in perfect condition in fact Harts war only watched once it was mint still failed saying badly scratched also have still not received cheque after a month still on webite processing cheque will never use or recommend this so called company when complained and asked to send back rejected dvds told been destroyed

Webuydvds Breach of Contract Bait Switch Fraud Fake Waste of Time Terrible Customer Service Refused to pay

This company asks you to send your DVDs and list the price they are willing to purchase them for. I sent my collection and they received it. (i have proof) They refuse to pay stating that all DVDs were unacceptable, I asked for them to return the DVDs they refused, saying they had already been destroyed after 1 day. They refuse to answer emails and have no corporate presence to contact. It's probably some guy with a phone in his bedroom. Very unprofessional.

I have used both www.webuydvds.co.uk and www. Music Magpie.co.uk. Also i have used CEX but i didn't use the postal method as it isn't free post.
when i used Music Magpie, they told me that most of my items had failed the test (totalling £37.50) which I thought was funny as the majority of the (35 where sealed) and the other 55 had only been played once and stored safely. i had a collection of over 250 but after hearing that the majority of the first 100 failed i didn't send any more out to them. after a further 3 weeks still no cheque. so I called customer service, what a delight (rudest person I have ever spoke to) she said that there was nothing that she was able to do and that i would just have to wait until the cheque came. :?
so i then sent the remaining 150 DVD's to 'www.webuydvds.co.uk' and only 15 DVDs failed totalling up to £6.25. They sent me a message saying that they had received the DVD's the following day. Later that day they said that i needed to log on to my account to confirm my address to send the cheque to. i received the cheque 2days later. (y)(y)(y) Great Customer service i will use again.

^ and thats the attitude you must expect from any CeX employee. Disgusting, it may be in your terms and conditions but whats your reason for destroying them and not returning them to their rightful owner? Why not just send them back? even at a fee.. Probably because you don't want to pay for them, but you'll happily put them up for sale, and keep the profit yourself ;) dirty company never would use them again. They seem to only emloyee people who have an attitude problem, or a body odour problem.

My name is James and I work in for WeBuyDvds.co.uk and we would like to put our side across from this customers comment. All customers are requested to agree with our terms and condition which clearly state that, we will not pay for badly damaged items and will not be able to return them. If customers are not willing to read our terms and conditions and just agree with them, there is very little we can do about it. This customer has not bother to take the time to read our few terms and conditions that they agreed too and are expressing their annoyance in rather an untrue manner.

Wrong, Webuy DVDs kept over 30 dvds and refused to pay for any of the 30. All of the DVDs were used once. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. BAD NEWS !

On the 30 May 2016, I made an agreement with webuydvds.co.uk to sell them some second hand DVDs. They were received by them on 14 June 2016 after being pestered to post them out. . They were processed and the initial value of the DVDs was reduced due to a cracked box on one of the DVDs which I have no recollection of.

They agreed to pay for the DVDs within 60 days by a cheque. I have already confirmed my postal address with them as requested. The 60 days has now expired and to date, I still have not received payment for the goods that I sent them. I have now contacted the Citizens Advice Bureau and made a formal complaint. They will now read my complaint and if necessary pass it on to Trading Standards for further investigation.

I have also written to the company and I have asked them to respond to my complaint within the next 14 days. If they fail to respond/remedy in this time, I will have no option but to consider taking the matter further. I will then proceed to take the claim to the small claims court. Everyone who is owed money by this shoddy company should follow the same course of action. All of the information on how to proceed is widely available on the Internet.

I had a problem with this thieving company.They owed me money for three months I told them that if they did not pay me by certain date I would take them to Small Claims Court.They did not pay so I have sued them for what they owed me plus cost plus percent .They lied to court that they paid me on certain date into my bank account.Well they did not I provided the bank statement to court and of course they were proved to be liars.Quietly without even informing me they paid all the money they owed me plus all the expenses they even paid for so called " damaged " DVD .Its easy to do it takes you about 10 and all done on line.The charge is £25 which of course they would have to pay it.If more people done that this company would cease to exist

This company is horrible. Avoid them like the plague. I've used three online companies to sell my DVDs and was very happy with the other two. Less than 10 (out of about 200) failed checks but I expected there might be a few that would. Webuydvds have so far failed most of the DVDs I sent them (just under 100) and are still checking the rest, even though the discs were sent to them nearly a month ago. (The other two companies processed the sale quickly). They came from the same place and were in the same condition as the others I sent to the other companies. Many had only been played once. If my personal circumstances weren't such that I am having to sell my possessions to make ends meet, it would still make me feel horribly cheated, but the fact of the matter is that I was relying upon that little bit of extra income and this company seems to have no regard for its customers. I understand that I cannot have the failed DVDs back as per the terms and conditions, and I read on this board somewhere that someone was told the DVDs are destroyed within 24 hours of failing checks. It seems strange that they are efficient enough to destroy the dvds so quickly, yet they cannot get their act together enough to inform me that the dvds had arrived with them (I had to e-mail), let alone process them. I wish I had just given the DVDs to a charity shop. At least some good would have come out of it.

same story sent my dvds all in great condition to be told they were water damaged and cracked rims absolute joke i had a 158 dvds but decided to sell 12 .boy am i glad Do not use this company to tell you they are keeping them as well i have complained to trading standards hopefully all you other people have as well.if there are enough complaints they will have to investigate the company so if they have swindled you as well do not let them get away with it !

I have been waiting since Christmas and still no joy, apparently their email is down until the 29th April! Would certainly be interested in joining up to take them to court. Trading Standards and watchdog next on my list.

Hi. I have sent my dvds on 25.01.2016. Was chasing status on line for few weeks, with no success. Only after I sent chasing email they updated my status and sent me email back saying they recieved dvds and reviewing them. About 2 days after status got updated and said some of my dvds will not be paid for. I questioned that (as we all did) and got the same answer about terms and conditions. Fine. Week ago it passed 2 months since 'the deal' was made and I still havent received the cheque. When I questioned it (again) got email back saying cheque is going through printing process. Chased again today.
I think this company is total waste of space. Rip off. Total customer abuse. I will post the same complaint wherever possible. We need to make sure nobody else uses this company.
