Webjet Marketing North America Flight seating

In December 2022 booked a return flight for 4 people Cairns to London Heathrow. The Webjet Booking Reference is 3BQVLG

The longest leg of the flight is AG(LH)4912 FRANKFURT TO TOKYO on 03/07/2023

I have just been told that we have been allocated 4 separate seats in the centre all apart from each other.

This is absolutely unacceptable and was not pointed out when we made the booking.

My wife is infirm suffering from osteo-arthritis and cannot sit on her own. She cannot get in and out of seats without assistance.

My daughter suffers from severe anxieties and needs to sit next to her carer.

Can you please assist in getting the 4 seats together or at very least 2 together and another 2 together.

Please do not tell me to contact the Airline (Nippon) as they are uncontactable. Lufthansa the main airline on the trip have effectively said it is for Webjet to sort out.

Is there a humane, caring person who can assist with my very stressful situation please.

Desired outcome: 2 seats together for my wife and I and 2 seats together for my daughter and her carer.

Webjet Marketing North America booking for ticket purchase for flight 30/03/2018

Purchased a ticket for grandson Archie Keith Robert Sanders on 03/01/18 and as ticket done after grandfather Robert John Burns on same date the system corrected Archie, s surname to Burns as well. This was not picked up until much later and when steps to rectify were taken was told this would not be possible as due to international flight a new ticket would have to be purchased and no refund could be given. My daughter purchased a new ticket and was told to claim on insurance even though my Grandson, s new ticket with booking through Virgin was connected to our tickets as a 5 year old cannot travel on own. Told by both company's that surname could not be changed and new ticket had to be purchased and no refund given. When replacement ticket purchased for the cost of 750 plus as a 5 year old cannot stay home alone! And also cannot travel alone under terms and conditions of trave. Spoke to Nathan and Jasmine today to try and rectify and was told stock standard this was the rules? I stated I was from a banking background and as soon as ombudsman brought in there was auto fine of serveral thousand no matter what result and that I wanted this flaw fixed so that this did not happen to anyone else. After paying an extra $750 plus being told could get no refund and then being promised refund so long as booking was in same incorrect name and being told that it was human intervention that incorrect name was loaded instead of autofill even though my daughter knows name of her son, you explain to me where the error lies, why it cannot be fixed more easily and why anyone else has to endure the expense and hassle to fix. My daughter was told that even if this was picked up 5 minutes after this occurred this would have no different result by all parties involved ie virgin airlines and Webjet.

Please tell me why this goes straight to social media to update the world. I hate this and would like to have this resolved privately and have a problem fixed privately without if possible involving the world. The main reason for my concern is to have this not happen to anyone else in the future.

Webjet Marketing North America hotel booking novotel darwin

Booked the 6th September instead of the 5th for Novotel Darwin. Contacted webjet online chat last Friday to change booking to 5th. (refer to copy of conversation below)
Online chat said I needed to contact the hotel and gave me the phone number.
I called the hotel -they had vacancies to make the change but said it had to be changed by webjet as it was booked through webjet.
webjet said they could only cancel and could not refund the money. I asked that could webjet contact the hotel and ask the booking be changed from the 5th to 6th. Webjet online chat agreed to do this if the hotel agreed and that I would be informed within 48 hours. It is now Monday and I have not received any notification. The booking remains unchanged.
Its says no refund on the rate but nothing about not being able to change the booking to another day. I do not want a refund - just to change the date-there are plenty of rooms for both days and I am happy to pay any difference.
Can you please follow up?

Webjet australia followed this up very well. Using the email address they listed in 'contact us' on the webpage. They have contacted the hotel manager and we have come to a good resolution. Many thanks to webjet australia and Novotel Darwin - they will be keeping my business.

Please note that when I posted this, I thought it was webjet complaints and not a consumer internet site as I would usually only deal with the supplier when trying to resolve a situation

Webjet Marketing North America rebooking of my international ticket

On Dec 29th 2016 I booked an international ticket (booking reference 3UI7SX) using webjet.com of the total cost USD 993.25. Due to some unavoidable reason I cancelled my ticket as per terms and conditions of webjet.com.
As per terms and conditions of webjet I could rebook the ticket before Dec 29th 2017 with the deduction of USD 325 (200 Airline change fee+ 125 webjet charge) plus fare difference.

On 16th July 2017 I requested to rebook the ticket of travel date Aug 8th for the same route and on same passenger name.
On 18th July 2017 I got email from webjet to agree to pay USD 622.75 if I have to rebook the ticket. I agreed and completed formalities for them to proceed further.
Suddenly I got one more surprising email stated that “We are sorry but in the meantime the fare had increased” and now I have to pay 1324.91 USD if I have to rebook the same ticket.

However the price of new ticket on the webjet site itself was around 1136 USD.

Now funny condition was, if I rebook using my old credit (993.25-325.00) then I would pay 1324.91 USD more. And If I freshly book the same ticket from webjet only then I would get in 1136 USD only.

I had discussion with customer care several time, how a normal person can pay more than the current ticket value although he is using his old credit as well.
The last time i had a conversation with the customer care representative, they mentioned that the airline has tagged me as a no-show despite of me cancelling the ticket several months ago and this condition is being used as a pretext to not refund me my amount.

Even I asked them to refund after their genuine deduction but they are not ready to refund a single penny, webjet owes me 668.25USD

That was looking very unfair to me and finally I booked a fresh ticket from other provider.

I have enclosed all email conversation and today’s ticket price in a word file for reference.

Webjet Marketing North America webjet customer support

Hello Webjet Team,
Few month ago I (Mark Taskar) booked through Webjet 2 tickets, Booking #4A3FAH.
I invest money when planned our trip, but something went wrong and I want to cancel it. The main reason for trip cancellation is my illness [Nobody can predict if and when of any medical condition.] Per my discussion with Carla and others in your company I emailed imaging result and diagnosis, and later a note from the primary doctor. While vacationing I will be taking a life threatening risk during this trip.
I called 2 times Virgin Atlantics (talked with Sarah) and have been told that nobody from Webjet did not contact them ?
After multiple emails to Webjet and my recent conversation with Carla it appears that Webjet did not send them the doctors note and did not discuss refund due to special circumstances. [Webjet refused to send me the confirmation letter regarding this matter]
I want to escalate my issue to the upper management

Webjet Marketing North America Cancelled my flight without warning!

Because of these scammers my life turned into a nightmare. I booked a flight and that flight was very important to me. I found a great job overseas and was moving to another country. I paid for my ticket and received a confirmation message and thought that everything was taken care of. When I arrived at the airport I was told that my flight was cancelled! I was just standing there and crying because I was supposed to be at the office the next day and that job was my way to success! These scammers never told me anything! Don't use them! I'm only glad that my new boss was understanding and nice person and that everything ended up well. Avoid Webjet!

Webjet claim to save you money - they show savings next to each flight - e.g. $3.59. BEWARE - buried deep in the fine print is a on a different page from the booking page are "Booking Price Guarantee" and "Processing Fee" which for an international flight amount to $51.90 so their claims of cost savings are false

Do strongly beware of Webjet.com pricing. The website bills itself as 'cheap air travel' leading users to believe it offers the lowest prices. That is very untrue! For a 15JUL 2015 SIN to DPS two economy seats - Webjet quotes the 2 seats at $1300.00 NZD - yet I can purchase the same ticket for 2 seats directly with JetStar, Garuda, and Air Asia for approx 447.00 NZD! Cheap flights from Webjet? Hardly! Beware this predatory pricing behaviour under the guise of 'cheap flights' - they are anything but cheap!
