I can't contact this company to stop this and the only reason I figured this out is because it made my account balance over limit. I am careful usually and I don't even use this card anymore because the interest is ridiculous. Has anyone out there figured out how to contact them and set them straight?

What kind of products have people out there ordered before they discovered that this company started showing up on their credit card statement? I know myself I ordered Lens Dr the liquid eyeglass repair stuff that you fix horrible scratches so you don't have to buy another pair of glasses. Since figuring this out I have probably spent that much because I didn't notice these charges until now. They are charging me 16.95 and have been since Feb. at least. I am so mad it is ruining my mother's day with my mom. She is sitting in the other room while I try and figure out how I can fix this problem but because it being Sunday no one is answering any phones even my credit card company. So I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to flip out all over again.

DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY SCAM YOU

If you order something just order that product when they ask you if you want this and that say no. No special speedy delivery or anything besides the product at least that is how I think I got this charge on my account. Who knows I will never order anything online again.

Which stinks because I don't drive and this comes in handy occasionally.

Thanks for listening,
Kim

I just got this value thing in the mail yesterday and I left it on the table. My husband picked it up and asked about it, so I put the address in the computer and came to this. I called [protected] and got it cancelled before I was ever charged thanks to my nosy husband. I am so glad I came across this board first.

Sorry to all who didn't catch this in time

Kim

I had the same issue with this value plus stuff. I was on my way to work and the same number kept calling my cell so I finally answered it and this guy was rattling off a mile a minute and I tried to interupt him to tell him I wasn't interested, but he wouldn't stop. So $114.00 or more later I finally figured out who was getting my money and I never got the two $25.00 gift cards either. They are awful people who should get criminal charges for that kind of stuff.

I received a charge on my credit card for 19.95. I had never heard of this bull ### company in my life. I called a [protected] and had it cancelled. The lady was quick to cancel this membership or whatever charge. It seemed fishy to me.

Same thing happened to me. Did a search on the name and found several complaints on various boards.

I'm going to turn this over to the FBI.

I've had to do this with others before and it worked in the past.

I just found out I was being charged 19.95 monthly from this company of course I was hysterical about it, but I did call the number [protected] & got through immediately. The csr states they will mail me a form to have my money reimbursed in about 7-10 business days & told me I was charged $279.30 in total so that I can add that info to the form. So, for all those who couldn't get through, KEEP TRYING! I called on Monday morning at about 9:30 if this is helpful. I just hope its as easy as she made it seem ;-)

the memberships are offered through a tela call or they piggy back on select buys we make with our cards. A limited time trial offer is sold for a dollar and if we dont cancel the membership before the trial end, the actual member ship starts automaticly, and take an automatic with drawl of 16.95 each month. we really should be more aware of the situations we find our selves in, this business is legit. We have to be more careful of strong merchants. concerned about the elderly.

I just noticed $16.95 charged to my debit card on my bank statement. Called the bank and asked them what this was. They gave me the 800 number, so I called. The lady told me it was for something I purchased over the Internet and was very vague. I said that I want this canceled and the $16.95 refunded immediately as I did not sign up for this. I have no idea how this happened. I might call my bank and see if they can block these people from charging anything my card. I really don't want to wait for a new debit card, so will keep a close watch on this. Also, like others here, I've been receiving these stupid sweepstakes winnings in the mail, but have shredded them and not responded. This is scary!

Hello (name) My name is John Smith and I am calling from Quality Resources because you recently purchased something from one of our marketing partners and this call may be recorded for quality and security purposes and I will be brief. The reason we are calling today is just to let you know as a preferred customer you’re receiving $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers in the mail. These are free and good for one year and you can buy your gas anywhere in the U.S. Now these should arrive in about 2 weeks so please keep an eye out for them, in the same envelope we’re sending the first 30 days of Budget Savers for only $1 dollar. It’s a brand new saving program that will save you money at a couple hundred stores like Home Depot, Target and Best Buy also restaurants like Chili’s, Red Lobster and McDonald’s. This is something we only send to preferred customers so there is no obligation to keep it and nothing to send back. Even if your not interested, make sure you don’t throw away the gas vouchers, the $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers is our way of saying thank you for being a preferred customer.

Remember the 30 day trial is only $1 dollar. It gives you full use of all the discounts. If you decide to stay a member after the first 30 days your benefits would extend automatically for just $24.95 a month again that’s only if you decide to stay a member after the first 30 days. It would be charged to your (Visa/Master Card/ American Express) ending in (last four digits). You can call and cancel anytime, on the toll free number that’s located on the front page. Either way you keep your $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers as a thank you. You still live in (city/state) correct?

Great, before I transfer you to our verification department to read your address back to you and to verify I did my job correctly, do you have any questions? When I transfer you, you’re going to hear a click. It may sound like I am hanging up. I’M NOT! It’s very important that you hold so you don’t get the same call again, ok? Enjoy your $50 dollars in gas vouchers, please hold.

TCPA=Always Attempt / TOL=we will add you to our internal do not call list.
That’s fine Mr. / Mrs. (last name); if you have any questions call [protected]. We are not calling from Visa/Master Card or American Express; we are a company calling you with a discounted offer. Have a nice day.

This is the script they read to you, they changed their name from Value Plus to Budget Savers but its the same stuff.
www.valueplusonline.com
www.budgetsaversonline.com

How it works is you agree to the dollar for 30 days and then get transferred and they up sell you two other packages. They are trial periods.
$1.00 - Budget Savers goes to $19.95/$24.95
$9.99 - Health Package goes to $49.95
$1.99 - Entertainment goes to $ 19.99 (i think)

Yeh they got me too. But what I don't understand is that I never signed up for anything & just got charged $16.95 on my card. I called [protected] & talked to a guy named Taylor. I asked him the name of the company he said it was "Member Services" and that I had signed up for a discount dining membership. I told him that I had never heard of the copany & never signed up for anything. So he said he would cancell the membership & then I asked for a refund since I had never singed up. He said he would issue me a refund for the 2 payments they had taken. Only time will tell.

I also had a charge placed on my bank account for $19.95 with the company listed as WC - Value Plus with the phone number [protected]. when I called the company, the person answered "Membership Services" I asked what this was a membership for and she said it was for a variety of entertainment business to receive discounts. I told her I did not authorize this membership and I wanted to cancell it. She asked for my email to send me a confirmation that the membership was cancelled and the money credited back to my account. I gave it to her. But in the meantime I contacted my bank and have a block on my account and new debit card will be issued. I see that many others have also been scammed by this company.

Do not order anything offered on TV. All you are going to get is a recording and you cannot speak with a 'real' person and then can't get hold of the companies to cancel. They sign you up for everything they can. DUH! Don't be stupid and think that everything you see is a great or 'free' value...there is always a catch. Don't be a sucker. Quit watching infomercials and get some excercise and go shopping and buy real stuff and get a receipt. Sorry, but I have a hard time feeling sorry for people who fall for this crap.

I just got off the phone with these jerks too! They called to tell me I was going to get something in the mail and I was going to be charged unless I called and canceled. I screamed at them on the phone and said that I didn't want anything I didn't sign up for, but they just continued with their sales pitch. They had my phone number, my address and my credit card number. I figured out they got it through a exercise video I had ordered. These people are complete jerks.

They started charging me after I ordered "Debt Cures they don't want you to know about." Must be linked to their website somehow. Called and they canceled but offered no refund. Don't really care, just as long as they quit billing me. Apparently "Debt Cures" has a way of curing their debt, but not ours.

I bought walkfits online (shoe inserts) and said no to every offer or additional subscriptions they advertised through the ordering process.

I called the 800 number and they said that they can enroll me even if I denied it. I was charged $1.00 & $1.99 from WC*Homeplay & WC*ValuePlus the first month, so I didn't catch it. Charged $19.95 twice the second month. I called and they said they will credit the two $19.95 charges to me in 3-5 business days. *fingers crossed* that they will do it.

NEVER ORDER FROM AS SEEN ON TV PRODUCTS!

Forgot to mention I called the phone number [protected] & listened to the full recording messing (of course they're not open on a Saturday) at the end it listed a customer service web address of www.programstop.com, gonna give it a try & see what happens. Same Scam here folks. I was signing up for an online survey business venture called getting rich with google. I agreed to purchase their trial cd rom for $1.00 and the next thing I know my bank statements show charges from several companies including Value Plus, Grant Search etc. I contacted my bank and they provided me with contact information for these companies and so far it has cost me quite a bit of money but the companies I've contacted & requested cancellations with have been forthcoming. But I am still working on some others for about 3 months now. Can't trust anyone.

Even though they called me on a Saturday, the number to call and cancel isn't in operation on Saturday. *sigh* I'm such a sucker, and wish that while I was on the phone with them that I would have googled this sooner. I would have seen this and just hung up on them.

I just received a call from these people claiming to send me the $40 is gas vouchers and signing me up for the $1 trial version of value plus. The have an old inactive CC# so I am hoping it doesn't go through my bank account. I did call the [protected] number and tried to cancel the membership. They don't even have me in the system. I was told it takes 48 hours to put me in the system. I will call back tomorrow and Monday to get it cancelled. Even if they have an inactive CC# I don't want them having access to my bank account.

I will send a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.

If you would like to take action about these scammers, file a formal complain with the Federal Trace Commission. The BBB is a great organization and all, but the FTC is government. If anyone can do something about this, it's the FTC. Here are some links

I have recently noticed that this company has been charging me 16.95 for something that I did not sign up for. I call a 1-800 # and was told they would cancel my account and refund my money. I called my bank and informed them of this, if I do not have my refund by tomorrow thats when they are going to call this BS company. I have been able to find a lot of bad things about this company just by doing randum searches. This company has been doing this to people for a while now, guess the best bet it to call the better business bureau! This company has been doing this to people for a while, this is wrong that they were not shut down!

I had the exact thing happen to me...it caused me $60 worth of over draft fees as well. First I called [protected] and was placed on hold for over 45 minutes before I hung up realizing that no one was going to help me. Today, I called [protected] and got an operator right away who was able to not only cancel the "account" they'd created for me, but refund the $33.90 ($16.95 on 2 occasions). I then called my bank back to inform them of the refund and to ask to clear the over-draft fees. That process is still in the works. We'll see. I'm probably out the $60. BUT - I really believe that the new number is a result of all of the complaints from people like ourselves who have stepped up to inform others!

It is strange, I never knew nor do I recall requesting this service. This company has been charging my credit card for the last 10 months. I throught that it was the credit card protection insurance that I have on all my cards and never really paid much attentio. Until I was about to pay the card off and realize that this is a fraduant charge. From now on I will look very close to all my statement including my bank statements. BUYER BE AWARE.

Kim, I planned on cancelling before the 30 days, then I saw this on my bank statement: WC *VALUE PLUS-V [protected], but with so much stuff going on in my life, I forget easily (Which is what they hope you'll do). I called them after hours and a machine told me to just go to:

https://www.programstop.com

and fill out some of the information, it should stop all future transactions.

Hope this helps.

The same thing happend to me, I had gottan weary of the agreement I had made when i purchased a book "kevin Trudeau" and signed up for the 3 free months of 3 magazines of my choice. I haden't gottan anything telling me how to cancel so the first number I saw, I called. I had then been told to call someone else and I did so and canceled my subscriptions. I called my bank yesterday and they told me I had a transaction for $19.95 taked out of my account from value plus. So when today i read these statements from people I realized it was a scam! So I called the bank again, come to find out they took the money out of my account last month too! So commerce is currently fighting it, A HEADS UP - CALL, CANCEL, AND MAKE SURE TO GET THE PERSONS NAME ALONG WITH THE CANCELATION CONFIRMATION NUMBER! That is the best way the bank can fight it to get your money back!

When I ordered the vacuum cleaner a few months ago, the person I talked to talked so fast, I couldn't understand what he was saying, and I couldn't hang up until he asked about 4 questions, when I was given the opportunity to disagree with whatever he said. I just called your cancellation number, and told them to take my name out of your books, and stop charging me that $16.95 monthly payment for something that I'm not using. They told me it would take about 7 to 10 days, and I'd receive confirmation in my e-mail. I believe it can be done faster, so please do it as soon as possible.

Just happened to me. I have to wait 72 hours to get the charge to appear on my CC and then reimbursed, but the 800# they provide seems to be the 'membership services' that credits you back the fraudulent charges... Keeping my fingers crossed!

Because of this forum, I'm going to take detailed notes of all my phone calls starting today so that when they say "we have no record of calling to cancel" I can fire back that I have a record here... too bad I can't record phone calls, that'd be sweet... =)

Good luck everyone!

Just call and ask for the service(s) to be cancelled and ask for a full refund. You may have to fill out a form if the charges go back further than two months but they do refund your money. Please watch your credit/debit statements closely each month so you don't let charges build up, you must be responsible for your own accounts because these "scams" are everywhere.
