I noticed I have had the $16.95 charge debited from my account by WC Explore USA for the past 4 months. I called the 1-800 number to investigate. They told me I had signed up for this program but could not give me the details of such a registry. Sure looks like a fraud to me.

A charge of $16.95 was debited from my account. I never authorized this "purchase". Completely fraudulent charge! I filed a dispute with my bank and a complaint to the Texas State Attorney General's office for consumer fraud.

I just learned that I was being charged since October of 2006! That's 2 years of unauthorized charges to my credit card. I called the phone number and they are sending out an envelope to credit the amounts - so don't be afraid to ask for a refund of your money!

On 9/11/08 I contacted this company about charges they made on my VISA account. Since May 10th they have charged me $375.00 bi-weekly for God only knows what. My bank called them and transferred my call to their representative, who said that I would receive a form letter to fill out within 6 - 10 days. He said that after I sent it back my money would be returned to me. I have never received such a form letter. The reference number given me is
#24055248242200069101270.

I am an elderly woman trying to make do on Social Security, and this is ridiculous! I HAVE TO get that money back! It amounts to $2625.00.

I hope you can help me.

I was also charged by Explore USA in July 2008 and Aug 2008. At first I thought it was a gas station but then when I got the same charge in Aug I called Wachovia. They gave me this number, [protected], for Explore USA. Wachovia told me to contact them for a refund and to find out why they were charging me. If they refused to refund the charges then Wachovia would do an unauthorized charge dispute. I called and spoke with Shana. She said Explore USA is a discount travel service. I told her we don’t travel very often because we don’t have the money to so we would have never signed up for such a service. She said the membership was under my name and address. Since I didn't recall signing up and hadn't used the service she would cancel the membership and refund the two charges of $16.95. She said to check the refund status go to www.memberstatus.com. The only thing I can figure that got me connected to this company and gave them my account information was when I bought something from Thane USA related to an infomercial. During the check out process there were so many pop up add this to your order for this much and at the end they listed something about a trial membership to some site but I never kept a copy of it because I wasn’t interested in using the trial membership but it was not clearly stated that I would get charged after the trial membership was over. I tried calling Thane USA to see if that was where the affiliation was but the customer service rep didn’t know what I was talking about.

i just received my c.c bill a couple of days ago and i noticed this charge and was searching it up on here and ran across this site. I don't know who or what this charge is all about but after looking at my past 6 (months) bills i noticed that it is on ALL of them what kind of crap is this and how do they do this? thats what i really want to know ! I know that they tell us that we will get refunds but do you really think that " the check is in the mail?" so to speak?

I had 3 charges, once a month for the past 3 months. I never agree to sign up for crap like discount coupons or any service like what this supposedly is. I called [protected], the phone number given to me by my credit union and got an operator that could not really explain what this company was and said it was to get discounts and coupons by mail. I said that was funny, because I have never received any of this. She said she would mail me a form to fill out to request a refund. I better get it!
THIS IS SCARY BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THEY GOT MY BANK ACCOUNT INFO.

I have also experienced a similar situation as many of you regarding the 16.95 charge. Because of all the information shared on this site I might be able to get some of money back.

My question is this- Is the particular operation legitamate? What is the next step a consumer should take in filing an official complaint regarding this company?

I was checking my account today and noticed a charge for $16.95 from explore usa. When I called they said I failed to cancel during the trial membership that I have no memory of EVER signing up for. Thank god I noticed it after only the one charge and they cancelled the membership and will credit me back the $16.95. This company is extremely unethical!

We also had a $16.95 from a WC Explore USA MBR. I called the 800 number listed on my statement and they claimed I "might have" signed up for their services while trying to buy a TV online. I let them know I have NOT bought a TV online NOR ever signed for their services. They claim to be a discount Travel Company. So when they said the TV purchase I asked what did TV's have to do with Travel? I also found 3 other complaints about this company online while trying to locate their "website". Which per google, does NOT exist! This charge has also been going on for 4 months. I asked for a reimbursement and the man claimed I should receive a form with 7 - 10 days to fill out for my reimbursement. Only after calling them things between Fraud and Hackers! On-line shoppers and bill payers BEWARE!

For the past year a company by the name of explore USA and value plus has been debiting my account each for 16.95. A total of 420 dollars has been stolen from my account. The 1 800 number that I called was the cancellation center. That was the number posted on my account next to the charges. The lady that I spoke with slightly informed me that this has happened more times than she'd like to talk about.

I just saw 1 years worth of charges twice a month I called and canceled it and they are supposed to send a claim form to get full credit.

They said we signed up for it when possibly we purchased something else online? Sounds like it is a real scam!

I don't even know what the company provides!

Apparently I've been charged TWO years for this thing that I've never even heard of...This is absolutely ridiculous and I have no idea how they even got my information. This company needs to be shut down as soon as possible. It is a total scam and these people are so unethical. It is literally like stealing money out of our pockets.

I also had $16.95 a month charged to my account. After to talking to my credit card customer service I figured out what happened.

My mother from TV "My little reminder" which they over charged for. Explore USA shares the same order line with the reminder company. Some how they got access to our check card/ checking information.

Explore USA is suppose to send claim papers for us to recoup 3 months of charges. Beware of TV products!
