Be aware of Wark Photography. I contacted the owner and he persuaded me that their company has the permission to use drones. He said a lot, but I went to FAA website and checked that this company didn’t obtain the permission. I contacted the owner back and said that it wasn’t good for the business to lie to the customers. He said nothing and immediately hung up. So, check all details about the company before you sign the contract with them.
First of all thank you Fact-Checker for the heads up about this review and the screen shots. I had a pleasant email conversation with John Wark and he was going on some bad information from a real competitor of mine. I will not mention that company's name publicly.
What everyone needs to understand is John Wark is without a doubt one of the best aerial photographers of our generation. His company Wark Photography has a flawless track record going back over 30 years. His client list is one of the most impressive in the country.
The "FACTS" of this review are not in dispute. Mr. Wark's FAA 333 was applied for and on the way, but he did not have that at the time of the review. That is true, but that doesn't mean making an offer ahead of time is a crime or unethical. I think that is what the reviewer didn't understand. I just did the exact same thing with a client in CO Springs. My client needs a drone pilot at night. I do not have a waiver for flying my drone at night, but its been applied for and will be here long before the job date. I agree that Mr. Wark shouldn't have told the reviewer to "check out drone companies to verify they are legal with the FAA" or whatever he said. That obviously backfired on him, but that still doesn't mean the reviewer needed to go around the net and post about it.

What I find interesting is going to both their websites and facebook pages. First I went to airphotona.com and then johnwark.com I couldn't find 1 single drone photo or video anywhere. Nothing on John's Facebook page either. He tells people he is a drone pilot for hire, but it appears that not a single person has ever hired him. How long have you been in business John? 25-30 years?
Next I went to coloradodronography.com and every photo and video there was taken by a drone. I loved their 2016 Demo Reel, it was stunning. Makes me want to go buy a drone today!
Let me see if I get this straight. A aerial (plane) photographer is blaming a 4 month old drone company for a 12 month old review?
Hey Mr. Wark, you are not even competing against Colorado Dronography. They use drones, you use planes. I see that you have told people you have a "DJI Pro". Ummm, that is like telling someone you own a "Cessna Pro". So you don't even know what you claim to own and now your goofy slandering of a local competitor is making you look immature and petty. You and Trump have the same thin skin. Grow up man.
How about you at least prove you are a commercial drone user before slandering a real drone company? Just a thought... I will be sending all this to the owner of Colorado Dronography so he can seek legal action against you. Slander is a crime Mr. Wark, I hope you have a good lawyer.
I also dug up what i could on Colorado Dronography. That company is only a couple months ago. 9/19/16
This and other reviews against John Wark are from almost a year ago. So you are blaming this on a company that didn't even exist?
I'm guessing John Wark is a Trump supporter and loves "Alternative Facts".

Its dated 5/25/16 before that when this review was first posted John Wark was not legal to operate a drone for profit. Giving a quote or entering into a verbal or email contract when you do not have FAA authorization to do so is criminal. I see this same review all over the internet, all dated more than 11 months ago. Basic math clearly shows John Wark was lying about being a "lawful drone operator".
Slamming another company is just plain juvenile and only makes this guy seem more shady. Slamming another company without proof is a crime.
I never even heard of the word dronography before reading this comment, but not if I want or need a drone pilot I sure know who I would never call.
I would be careful slandering a company like you just did. What proof can you attach to show that "Bill Thompson" or "Colorado Dronography" was behind any fiction? Furthermore, after doing very little homework I was able to verify that at the time of the first review you and your company were NOT legal to fly drones for profit. So it would appear you are flat out lying and posting liable statements without evidence. I would be very careful.
This is now known to be an upstart competitor. This person has also posted bogus reviews for other businesses in the region. Colorado Dronography is the source of this fiction. Bill Thompson is the true author, or at least directed the posting.
This reviewer is not a customer, never has been. We have never talked to this person, only a brief email exchange. This is posted by a woman who we declined to provide services for, and took it poorly. Our company is fully insured and licensed to do all services we offer. Anyone can post anything on this site, it's not verified. By declining to have anything do with this woman she has been vigilant in writing these rude and baseless comments, here and other sites. Sad, but there are such people.
