Walmart prices

I like the fact that this store has the merchandise I want. But everytime I patronize this store, they charge me more money than the posted prices, or they have no price on the item I wish to purchase. It's as if they don't even sell the item. Many items are marked one price in one location and a totally different price in another location within the same store. Or items are marked on the shelf for $.98 and the cashier charges $8 at checkout. Everytime I visit this store there are (At least one) items not priced correctly or not priced at all.

Have the cashier scan the item first, then decide if you want to buy, or have them to contact a supervisor regarding the article.

Walmart photo dept.

I took in a memory card (Ditital camera) to have pictures made and the receipt said to pick up on mar.31...,,, no pictures! Icalled them tonight and no pictures... That made me mad! If the pictures weren't going to be ready then they should of not told me the 31. March. That is not good for business and talk spreads fast.. Thank-you [protected]@yahoo.com

You don't need to take a digital camera in to get the photos. THE CAMERA DOESN'T HAVE FILM IN IT ! You can look at the photos on your computer and print them at home. DON"T TRY TO TAKE YOUR CAMERA APART TO GET AT THE FILM ! THERE IS NO FILM IN THE CAMERA - I AM SERIOUS ABOUT THIS !

Walmart check cashing

My brother and I were at the local Wal-Mart store in Conover, NC attempting to cash a loan check. The check was from the Apollo Group, written on the Wells Fargo bank. My bank, located inside this store, was closed. At the customer service area there were signs, three of them, documented on my cell, stated we will cash your Tax Check and more! Below this message states "We can cash them all!" I had successfully cashed the last check 3 months before at the same location. They refused to cash my check this time. I went back outside and called the 1-800-wal-mart customer service hotline. I told my situation to two persons on the hotline, and they instructed me to go back in the store and wait for the highest management. The manager came out many minutes later. I repeated the conversation I had with the first cashier, and asked why the check was not cashed. He left to "check on some things" to a door near the customer service area. After a bit of a wait, the cashier was given instructions to cash the check. She asked me to endorse the instrument, and she wrote my ID number down, complained about my signature, asked me for my phone number, and social security number. After writing on my check, which means she took ownership of the instrument, the point of sale machine would not read the MICR numbers. They claimed there was a problem with my check. I asked her to enter it in manually, she claimed she could not. My brother and I then returned to the payphone to again call the customer service number. As we were waiting on hold, two police officers approached us. They stated that “Wal-Mart has asked you to leave” I responded “Can they do that? Police said “Yes, this is private property”. We left at that juncture. Wal-Mart rents spaces in its store to other businesses, and did not have authority to force us to leave. We do not steal; we were not loud, mean, or disrespectful. Our lives were endangered by Wal-Mart forcing us to leave. This needs to be addressed. These people made me feel like a criminal, just because they did not want to cash my check.

My sister received a fed ex envelope today with a check to cash and send to a Chinese account. I think they didn't take the check because it is a scam. Apollo Group is a company that owns schools, University of Phoenix being one of them. I doubt if they know about the scam. I'd call the FBI.

Walmart does not just call the police because they want you to leave. When you try to cash a check after banking business hours, this kind of thing can happen. Since you bank at Woodforest (I am assuming since you said your bank was inside the Walmart) they are open 7 days a week and you could easily have went there the following day to cash your check. Walmart did nothing wrong and if the machine can not read the check, then that is that.

Walmart the "sweepstakes"

I just don't understand why a retail company would advertise on the receipts that you could enter to win a couple thousand dollars on a gift card through them or cash if all it is is to get you to "pay" for another sweepstakes with something that has nothing to do with the retail companies sweepstakes contest.
I think it's a way for them to "get" the money from "other" offers so that they can say "you could win $1, 000.00 gift card."
At least the walgreens sweepstakes surveys are honest and only want your opinion on the customer service at their store in order to have a chance to win.

Walmart poor customer service

I recently made a purchase with my money card, then had to cancel the order, QVC put the request back the day after I canceled my order (3-9-09), but when I called your costomer service center and I use that term loosely, I was told the funds would not be back on the card until (3-19-09), I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no supervisor was available and was put on hold for 20 minutes then HUNG-UP ON, I was on my cell phone and burned the minutes, just to be
hung-up on, so I called back and again was told no supervisor was avaiable, at this point I became out-raged, so the rep. hung-up on me again. I am going to use the remaining funds on my card then CUT IT IN HALF AND NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH YOUR COMPANY AGAIN!

This is a disaster! My card was stolen so they claimed they would report it''compromised'' and i would receive another in 7-10 Business days. It been a 5 weeks since then and they have had the nerve to cancel my account! They ought to be ashamed. They lie to me on the phone when i call abd they need to be taught a lesson.

I agree this so called company would not even activate this card for my son (he is 16) they said I needed to give my information to get it activated, so I agreed because this was his Xmas gift. After being on hold for over 45 minutes just to be hung up on and the next person I got said they could not verfiy my account (ok it's my name and social and birthday) that the system automatically closed the account and will send me a refund check in 10 business days. Which means my son has to wait 10 more days to enjoy his Xmas! I asked for a supervisor and he was RUDE there's nothing I can do your out of luck and he hung up on me! What kind of place is this? whatever happend to Customer Service? this makes me not even want to go to WalMart again after all of this drama! this is the company you trust with your customers? So awful!

Wal Mart repeatedly held my money and flat out lied about their charge for loading my card, the contract said that it was free if you cashed a check. When I tried I was refused by the sales clerk and denied for twenty minutes to speak to the manager. I know that $3.00 is a small amount for me but when a company does it to thousands of its customers it's big money. I feel that a class action suit would in order. I am also writing to the Federal Trade Commission for illegal and fraudulent practices. Please email if you agree. agapee4us@yahoo.com

OMG, the same thing is happening to me; i placed an order on the 15th of August then saw the same product that came with a kit on the 16th. They said "no problem we'll cancel the order and replace” what they didn't say was that there was a hold on my account for the first order. So when they did the reordered they put another hold on my account. There were two holds for 7 days and here come the hurricane of overdraft fees; I couldn't even transfer money from my savings account because the bank only allows 6 transfers. well I called on the 18th sent over a fax from my bank to corporate req a refund on the OD/Fees and it was denied, not only that but on the 19th they canceled my order with out my knowledge, they told me that someone said "there is no Melinda at this number, helloooo "it was my cell phone" and every time i called they knew exactly who i was before I could tell them who I was! I spoke with Inez in corporate and she told me that qvc could not verify my account information, my phone number and also said they left me messages on my cell phone that supposedly was not my phone number?!?! but wait on the 18th i sent them a fax from my bank about the overdraft fees so besides all of this I am still out 180.00 and no product, Inez said that the would not refund me the OD/Fees, nor would they discount the product 180.00. And i could not sign back up with QVC with out clearing "this up" which “they” caused. So basically what she is telling me is that an inquiry for there product cost me 180.00! HOWS THAT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I work of the police dept. here in Austin and you bet your 180.00 worth that EVERONE WILL KNOW WHAT HAPPEND AND I STRONGLY SUGGEST NOT DOING BUSINESS W/QVC! IF anyone has any sugesstions on what i should do please do not hesitate to email me melinda.sepeda@gmail.com

Walmart horrible customer service

Where to start with this wonderful company...Lets go with the East Town one first...On Oct 24 2008 I recieved letters home frommy kids teachers they were having Halloween Parties so I figured I would go to Wal mart and get chips( had to get other items as well) Well they had they 22 bags of varity of potato chips on sale like 3.50 instead of the 5.98 so I grabbed 2 enough for both kids classes I get to check out and they are ringing up higher I point it to the cashier...She calls managment this lady in her mid 50's came over I explained to her the price... She told that she would give me 1 at the 3.50 but the other for 5.98...I said Iwill show you where it says 3.50 ...She told me that it was not in her job discribtion to go look I could take it or leave it...She was being so rude mademy kids cry...I told her I wasent buying nothing from there and my total was already 256.00 and still everything hadent been rung up... Here are my 2 kids crying cause of her tone and to top it off she called security on us! We hadent done anything at all how embarrisin so I called the next day to speak to someone over her they assured me she would be talked to!grrrrrr...I never went back to that walmart agian...

Ok on with the next...Clinton HWY... I ordered my sons b day cake 3 weeks in advanced...A hot wheels birthday cake...Itold them I would be there to pickit up May 30 at 12pm...well I go at 12:15 pm topick it up the old lady in the bakerytoldme it wasent done and his party was starting at 1:30...So I went back at 1 pm and tried to pick it up well she toldme I was blowing hermind and when she got the oppertunitiy she would make it... Itold her how long in advanced I ordered it and his party was in 30 mins told me wasent her problem...ok had to call everyone and tell them it would be later another hour passes shes finished! Its hot pink =[ and doesnt look like what I ordered I asked the lady what was this she said I made a mistake and grinned ugh I asked to speak to the store Manager and got another run around and was pretty much told they couldnt do nething about it and I was talking about that lady's attitude and he said there busy u must understand...so I love Target forget walmart Ihope they go bankrupt

armywife why dont you get a job instead of posting comments about people supposedly being fat how does someone making a complaint about wal-mart automatically make them fat? Is it because it had to do with cake? If so that is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard..even if it doesnt have to do with cake what you say is still the most idiotic things i have heard. And why do you broadcast that you are supposedly married to a soldier? Do you feel special? I am in the Army and so are multiple family members but i am not making screennames saying so. Also, you sound about 14 years old. No one over the legal drinking age uses "LMAO" or "HAHAA HAHAA!" like a child.

Walmart overprocessed hair

I was in the Smart Styles in Southaven, MS at 6811 Southcrest. I started having a Lupus attack while the stylist was doing my hair and she thought that I was trying to get in front of the other patrons in the shop. The next day after the attack had subsided I realized that my hair was over processed and that she had cut almost 3 inches of my hair, mind you I was charged 54.95, which included 44.95 for the retouch and 10.00 for my hair being long. Perm was also left in my head and I had to re-wash my own hair to get the residue out before it took what was left of my hair. The sytlist was the manager of the shop and she had a very bad attitude the whole time she was doing my hair and this was before the attack. I think they should have a simple questionaire that should be completed to find out about the patron before doing their hair. So if a situation arises they will be more able to handle it and not get a worser attitude. They stylist name was Camilla.

There is no such thing as a retouch on a perm. Your perm may have grown out, but they still have to re-wrap your whole head of hair. It's not a retouch, so they were right to charge you for a full perm because that's what they did.

I understand haveing a health problem is something that no one wants to deal with but it is not the salons problem to deal with. I been to this salon as well as better ones like toni and guy and they dont have a questioniare either. If you asked that of them then you have to ask every restraunt you eat at to have one, every store you shop at and etc just in case you have an attack. Im sorry your hair was messed up up but really dont see how your Lupus attack is there fault maybe where an medical id bracelet so they know to call 911 and if you were sorry but from your statement it seems like you left on your own free will.

Walmart awful place

I worked for walmart for nearly one year, and in that time I witnessed a violation of EPA regulations in relation to the amount of silver waste (which is highly toxic) allowed on site(25 gallons). when I reported it to my manager he told me to hide it, in front of other associates, I talked to my assistant manager who told me to just do as I was told, I called out MEM and out general Market Manager. the issue was resolved, but I was yelled at for not telling my manager that it was a violation of our EPA mandates(which as the manager over the photo lab he is REQUIRED to learn through walmarts computer based learning) and was then written up and summarily fired within 60 through no fault of my own. I firmly believe that walmart does NOT actually inspect its stores, and fails to ensure that its management follow the laws that govern them.

I have, of course, been granted unemployment.

Walmart withdraw fees and transactions

found out prepaid visa cards will over draw if a company summits a fee visa may and has agreeed to pay fees and wait for money to be added to card then charge you overdrafts this card is suppose to prevent overdrafts and fees if the money is not their the card should decline . i just recently found out i have a 400 dollor atm limit visa says go inside bank you can take more off card but then says i have to take up to 400 dollor increments chargeing me 4.00 dollors per transaction. then i just recently put 650 on my card took 200 plus fees of 4.00 off then i tried to take off 400 plus fees they told me my balance is 68.00 i asked where is my 400 dollors they told me a traction from two weeks before was pending so they are holding my 400 for 5 days concerning the pending 400 dollors the problem with this is i had 1200 on my card at that time and took off 1100 so again where is my 400 and why cant i get it i have bills waiting on that money visa assures me that my 400 will be back on my card in 5 days what r they doing holding my money in their bank to collect interest off it or did they barrow it for 5 days and put it some where else either way they dont have my permission to use my money doesnt that make it stealing where im from thats illigal if they did this to me how much money are they makeing illigally off everyone else

Walmart lack of cashiers

They tell you on receipt to go to website and enter to win gift card due to your shopping experience there. Well there apparently is no site so this ia a scam. But I will tell you I would rather take a "beating" than go to the store here in town! It is not well stocked and the people they have working there are rude and very unhelpful when you asked for help finding something. I worked there many years ago and quit but I was trained a lot different than they are today.

Walmart charging when my card isnt being used

I purchased a walmart moneycard a few months ago. I haven't used it in awhile. But, they keep deducting from it for some reason. I had put money on it to purchase a ticket, but, ended up using it for something else. I'm afraid if I was to put money on it, it will be deducted off, because my balance is saying -$9.01, I think. It's not right that you purchase a moneycard from walmart, & you use it as needed, & yet when you don't, you get charged. Then, when you go to add money onto it, it gets taken off for not using it.

"my balance is saying -$9.01"
Guess what: You owe Green Dot money.
And they WILL send you a bill.

They charge a monthly fee of $3 whether or not you actually use the card, and whether or not you choose to load money on to it. If you don't want to deal with the fees, pay of your balance, and cancel the card. Don't just ignore your problem, and assume they'll forget about they money you owe them.

To the other commenter:
"I suggest everyone that bought one should contact their local Attorney General and report this place."
Report, to your local Attorney General, that a nationwide company is charging you a fee for allowing you to use their services, as stated on the card's packaging. Your local Attorney General would likely laugh at you.

"I will stick with the Bank card and pay a dollar more and not lose money."
I'm confused. Do you mean opening a debit account? They charge fee's too for certain services such as overdraft protection. They also tend to charge fees if you account goes below a certain amount (usually $200)

If you meant a Prepaid Visa Giftcard, like they sell at Walmart, then yes, they are about $1.50 more and don't charge fees...but they aren't re-loadable, usually can only be purchased at a fixed amount of either $50 or $100, and don't offer any protection at all if your card is lost or stolen. Oh and did I mention they charge a monthly fee after the 13th month of having the card if you haven't spent it all.

Companies charge fees for providing services, they aren't gonna be nice and let you use them for free and bankrupt their company.

Right on! This is a bad gimmick. I purchased a card and paid $3.00 at the store, came home to use it and another $3.00 was taken off. When I called about it, the man said it is maintance fees. What the hell. I will stick with the Bank card and pay a dollar more and not lose money. Money is hard to come by and this place is not helping. I suggest everyone that bought one should contact their local Attorney General and report this place.

Walmart ripped me off

I bought a 400 dollar Playstation 3 at Wal-Mart in Plymouth MA yesterday. I got it home and noticed it was scratched. I went to return it and they wouldn't accept it, accusing me of switching an old broken one for a new one and trying to return it. Not the case at all.

Not only were they rude but they acted all high and mighty and treated me like a thief, escorting me outside, where there was a police car sitting there. I left without incident and went home.

I plugged the system in when i got home and it doesn't work. So I went back with my mother and grandfather today. New managers on duty, but same result. The serial number inside the machine doesn't match the box so they will not accept the return. They were much more polite with a few middle aged people present but still turned us away.

The next step is to contact the Wal-Mart corporate office, and the Sony corporate office. My advice to all people is to not shop at Wal-Mart and whenever and wherever you buy something expensive, open the item before you buy it and don't make your purchase there if they won't let you. I might be out 400 dollars with little to no recourse.

I've returned two items to the Plymouth Walmart, and what should have been a simple return each time turned into a PITA. The bleached blond, leather faced obvious 5-pack a day smoker "woman" working each time was a miserable, mean disgusting excuse for a human being.

I received my money back each time, but c'mon. In this economy places should have their pick of decent employees.

Customer service in California Walmarts,
San Leandro, CA rated an F for failure and refusing to take merchandise back. Recommend you take a tape recorder and record what the associates says because you are SOL after you walk out of the store. They also do not match prices with store 600 feet away from them. The management and associates need an to be trained again.

Union City, CA Will not match prices with local stores after showing them sale items from the competition. Great bait and switch company.

Fremont, CA Will not match prices with local stores after showing them sale items from the competition. Great bait and switch company.

Fremont, CA prices at this Walmart average about 5% higher than the other Fremont store 5 miles away. It was explained to me that the people in this neighborhood could afford to pay higher prices.

As a business consultant and trainer to big and small companies I must now admit that my experiences over the past 2 months have shown me that WalMart should change their slogan to WHEN YOU WALK OUT OF THE STORE YOU ARE SOL. ### OUT OF LUCK.

ANY FUTURE VISITS TO WALMART WILL BE DONE WITH A VIDEO CAMERA TO RECORD EXPERIENCES BOTH GOOD AND BAD.

Sincerely

Walmart rudeness by staff member

I waited the requisite 1/2 hour, returned to the Pharmacy, and was told I needed to wait at least another 1/2 hour. I returned after the "second" 1/2 hour, only to be rudely pushed aside by a man who decided he wanted to get ahead of me.

I said, "Excuse me, I was first". The Pharmacist, although he heard what I said, went right ahead and waited on the man who had sidled up ahead of me. I interrupted, saying, "I was first in line", and the Pharmacist ignored me.

After the so-called gentleman left, I asked the Pharmacist why he been so rude. He ignored my query and said "Date of Birth". I asked his again why he had ignored me, and he said "Last name".

Deafness I can tolerate. Rudeness I cannot. I am switching all of my prescriptions to another store and will eventually not be subjected to their nonsense.

I have in the past patiently waited over 2 hours for my prescriptions. Customers waiting with me have shared their horror stories of Hamburg, NYs McKinley Park store. They all have had their share of the Pharmacy staff''s rudeness and inefficiency.

I hope never to set foot in a Wal Mart again.

Walmart letting drug addicts and dealers work in the store

After some research, I have come into some knowledge that was quite disturbing and really scary as a consumer. I would like to trust and know I am safe in the places I choose to spend my hard earned money. I found out that the Bristol Walmart is allowing drug transactions to take place in their parking lot and employees to do drugs and then go into work. I saw this with my own eyes and was horrified and never shopped there again. I am saying this as an honest citizen who would shop there. Not anymore. I saw the car that this was taken place in a tan/light grey plymouth shadow with a very skinny girl and very dirty, scary small guy fighting with each other outside the store and then smoking, I believe it was crack and then she put her apron on and went in the store. I could not make out her name but she worked third shift apparentely. I was leaving when the store was closing at 9:30-9:45 and she was going in at 10pm. I will find out her name but will never shop there again. Beware of people in Walmart because they are stealing to support their habits and may steal from you!

Walmart wal-mart automotive sucks - 2004 chevy trailblazer 4x4

Wal-Mart Automotive Sucks - 2004 Chevy Trailblazer 4x4

We took our car a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer to Walmart for it's regular oil change and vehicle checkup.During the checkup it came to our attention that the transmission dipstick had been broken off and they could not check the fluid in the transmission. They said they did not do it and that it most likely happened the oil change before which was also at a Walmart. At that time we ask Barry Byrd if it was okay to drive the vehicle and he said yes.One week later the transmission locked up and had to be towed to a transmission specialist who said the faleure was do to lack of fluid in the transmission. We feel that in fact the dipstick was broke off at the previous oil change by a walmart employee and he simply got rid of that part of the dipstick and signed off on the transmission to relieve himself of blame not telling us the the stick had been broken and unable to check the fluid. If he would have informed us of this issue it could have been solved with out the $2900 cost for a transmission rebuild. We filed a claim with CMI (Claims Management Inc.)Phone # [protected] (we dealt with a Barb there who was rude talked down to us and even called the mechanic at the transmission shop a liar and that the transmission had to have a leakage issue and she would have to deny the claim he explained to her that there were no leaks and it was a walmart topping off issue. When CMI received the statements from the walmart fluid checkers not mechanics (which barb at CMI called them) they had changed the statements made and told her that they never told us it was okay to drive the vehicle and did not recall placing blame on the previous Walmart oil change. We went to our Attorney's office on 2-27-09 and are in the process of suing Walmart and CMI.Please take our advice and never let Walmart fluid checkers touch your vehicle as the internet shows that they have more complaints than praises. This will be taken to the next level and will make it a life long goal to expose Walmart Automotive.

Consequences. Describe the economic or physical damage that resulted.

Transmission cost $2900
3 weeks without the vehicle
Treated like a idiot and lied to.

It's not they are bad mechanics cause some of them actual do know what they are doing WHICH IS AT EVERY JOB IN THE WORLD. Dont lie to yourself. But really how many people come into any auto shop and actual know about their own car? 1 in every 100 people sounds about right. How many people are so money hungry like you who have cars that they dont know about try to have a big law suit against walmart so they can buy a better car and have it treated the same so everything can break down in it again. GROW UP. Honestly if you would just have talked to them and said all you wanted was a new dipstick and transmission flush or pan then you would have got it. It's so EASY it fix stuff but yelling and screaming dont get you anything and dont say you didnt.

Sorry, Erin, it's just a pet peeve of mine. I have always said that in order to get a drivers license you should be able to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle. Checking air pressure, changing oil and filter, air filter, etc. You should also have to have a basic understanding of what makes a vehicle tick. That way no one would be able to screw you if you had to bring it somewhere to get it worked on. Every time something goes wrong with my truck I learn something new. Same with my motorcycle. Most recently on it I changed out the coolant. That was a hell of a job that took me several hours when it should have taken me one hour tops. I got the service manual, printed out the pages I needed, and went to work. Did it go smoothly? No. Did I save myself about 200 dollars in labor? Yes. Do I now know how to do it myself? Yes. Will it go smoother next time? It should.

I've been shown how to change and tighten the belts, how to change out the EGR valve, I changed my own spark plugs (a child could do that), rotated my own tires, etc etc. It can save you so much money its worth the time and effort to learn.

If you're that disabled then you shouldn't be driving because after all, it is up to YOU to keep your vehicle in top mechanical condition because when you break down and are stopped on the side of the road you are a hazard to everyone on the road. It is not Wal Marts job to make sure it's done right, its yours. And if you don't have a clue how its done, how are you going to make sure its done right?

Sure, crap breaks. I know that. You can't prevent all break downs. But you can prevent MOST with just a little bit of mechanical know-how. I'm a federally licensed airframe mechanic and so I've gone to school for years to learn how things work mechanically. However, I'm learning airplanes, not cars. I had to teach myself automotive maintenance. You could easily save enough money over a 2-3 year period doing your own basic maintenance to your car to buy yourself a brand new HD TV. Or easily an Xbox or Wii. The savings add up quick!

If you think it's ok to drive a vehicle with a broken off dipstick (where do you think it went if it broke off? unless the piece is handed to you, WHERE DO YOU THINK IT WENT?) then maybe you were treated correctly.

Learn to do your own maintenance! I do it all, and it saves me THOUSANDS! You can buy your oil and such from Wal Mart, but do your own maintenance! Do you really think the best mechanics are working at Wal Mart? Good grief!

Walmart walmart pre-paid card

I purchased a wal-mart pre-paid card and the sales clerk did not explain that we had to keep our reciept in order. To activate it. I can't find my receipt and now how do I activate it. Does this mean I lost out on $100.00? Not only that but I called the customer service and there a joke to nobody wants to help without the receipt. I want my money back. I should have just purchased it at h. E. B I would have been garunteed my money without my stupid receipt. I will never use this card again and I think it's just a scam.

Give me a break! Customers have go to to start taking responsibility for their purchases. There is no way that one could explain each and every policy with each and every purchase. I would think that a person could hold on to a receipt for a minimum of 24 hours. By the way, if you knew which register, which associate and the approximate time, they could have looked up the transaction and printed you a duplicate receipt!

I can vouch for you on that one. I too had purchased a Visa Pre-Loan card for my son, for his b'day and they did NOT tell me I had to call the phone # to activate it.

BUT...I did find out about the phone # activation, because I asked the clerk to make sure there was the $500.00 on the card and she didn't know how, because it was sealed. So I went to the customer service counter and that is where I found out about the activation number.

Your right, they should have told you about it.

Walmart poor managment

I worked for Wal Mart in Glendale for a year. My work record was great. Not one write up. Then came a old manager, but new
CSS.
They preach about integrity witch is something I have lived
my life to protect. I feel without it what do I have to offer
anyone. Well I guess this manager didn't see it that way.
She wanted employees with casher numbers to sign on to reg.
even if they were not working registers. This would make her
look good and put us on the line for theft.
To make a very long story short she along with many other
so called MANAGERS are no longer there. Now I am working
to get my job back.

I worked for Wal Mart and the procedure typically is, you go on
line place your order. Then they ship it to the store you choose.
When it gets to your store they call you. Then you pick it up and
pay there. That way everything is accounted for and no more
money chasing.

Why is it now that Wal Mart is hiring employees that cannot speak English? My wife and I are tying to shop for things and when we ask an employee, they can't speak any English? I know that there are MANY people that are applying for employment and are Americans that CAN speak English...why does Wal Mart hire them knowing that their customers are English speaking mostly. If they want to hire some that are bi-lingual, I have no problem, but do not hire non-English spkeaking employees for on the floor.

After my father and I purchased a 800 dollar computer we proceeded to speak with employees. William a sales associate was very helpfull. My father was in his U.S. Army Uniform and another employee was friendly and we gave him a recruiters card. I myself was in a suit and tye and have shopped there on many occasions. We then proceeded twoward the jewelery department to look at watches. We looked at a watch and a lady came to assist us. She had hair which would fall down to her shoulders and it was up in a pony tail. We asked her for a price on a watch because it was not labeled properly. We then asked to see the watch which was located inside the locked glass jewelery cases. She got it out and RELUCTANTLY handed it to my father. He showed it to me up close as she looked us over thouroughly and looked mad and wanted it back quickly. We hardly had enough time to look at it. It was very rude of her to insinuate that we were or are shoplifters. My father an myself were extremely upset.

I have often been in other Wal Mart stores and would like to
know how come they can be neat and clean with shelves stocked. I was at Unicity the other day and it was sorta the last straw. I counted 27 pallets down the row between womens
clothing and the nightwear. That was not the only row that
had pallets, carts, etc. there was unpacked stock, empty boxes,
all over the store. In the past when you asked for help you got
help not a point in the general direction, what staff is there is
trying to unpack so that they can get stock on the half empty
shelves. The seasonal area is a complete mess, I know it takes
awhle to change but this is too much! I don't understand why
no one checks the stores. When I worked retail we often had
visits from head office, SURPRIZE ones. I am tired of having to go to other stores because of empty shelves and no help.

I just don't understand why it is that wal-mart employees have no concept of customer service or that without the customers who come to their stores then they would not have a job.

I can not tell you how many times I have wanted to ask a question and been interupted by an employee or been walking down the isle only to have a stocker with a large cart of frieght damn near run me down to get where they are going.

I know you have a job to do and even if you are a simple stocker your very first priority should be the customers.

I wont go to another walmart as long as i live... until they get some decent training for their people.

I was employed By Gainey Transport Services as an Over The Road Driver. I often stopped at Wal Marts as their parking lots tend to have parking for 18 wheelers. I went in the Wal Mart down the street from our terminal. I'm wearing a pair of mesh basketball shorts and a Sponge Bob tsirt. I buy a pint of ice cream and a rotisserie chicken. After I paid I told the cashier that I had forgotten to check the automotive clearance section. The reason I mentioned this was I thought if they wanted me to leave the bag with my purchases up front they would probably tell me. Since the cashier didn't say to leave my bag I figured it was no big deal. I went back in the store l***oked around the automotive and returned through the line 10 minutes later. When I got to the front past the registers an elderly female employee asked me if she could help me. I held up my bag and replied that 'I think I found what I wanted.' I then proceeded to the entrance and another employee asked me what register I checked out at. I remembered it was 14 as the store was not real busy early AM. I exited the store and as I began to walk past the rear of my trailer I saw an animated conversation between 3 employees in front of the store. I thought this odd at 1:30 AM and wondered if they thought I had taken something. I got in my truck, started it up and released the air brake. At this time a vehicle approached my truck from each side with a weird siren which caused me to wait and see what they wanted. One of the Wal Mart Security jumps out and yells at me'Get out of the truck'. I ask why? He repeats the request but still has not not fied me why. I let the truck roll forward 6 inches and he pulls a gun out and aims it at me. He tells me to get out of the truck again and when I comply he than yells I need to show him my hands. I told him to make up his mind since to exit the truck I needed to open the door. He then said he would open it for me. He is still pointing the gun at me and three times I tell him do not point that gun at me. I know if it goes off and I'm not guilty of anything he will have to come up with a lie or go to prison. Remember my only crime was being a wal mart customer and wearing shorts and a tshirt I have no place to conceal a firearm. I then ask him why he has pulled a gun on me and detained me and he says three people said you stole something to which I reply 'Am I under arrest?' He says no and I say I'm leaving then. He tells me I can't leave and puts handcuffs on me. He starts to go in my 18 wheeler and I tell him that this truck has a sleeper on it and he does not have my permission and needs to get a search warrant. The only reason I know this is I worked store security years before and I know there are certain laws you must follow to not violate a persons rights in order to win a conviction if they did steal something. He gets the bag withmy purchases and asks me where my receipt is. I tell him it is in the bag as it was but it was in my wallet in the bag. He then goes back into my truck and finds another Wal Mart bag with a receipt from a North Carolina Wal Mart. He looks at the N.C. receipt and is confused. Now he takes me into the store to parade me around in hand cuffs by the registers. I'm a 47 year old white male who does not steal and now I am some kinda pissed. I say in a loud voice for everyone to hear' OK which one of you said I stole something'. None of the employees will look at me and they seem to scatter like cockroaches. The officer then takes me into a room with a bunch of video recorders for store monitoring. I tell him I don't want any of these tapes erased as they are now evidence. At this poin t a youn g white man enters the room and asks me which register I checked out at. I again tell him 14 like the 1st guy. He returns in a couple of minutes and tells the Wal Mart Security Guard to remove the handcuffs. I then grab my wallet pull out my receipt show it to him and explain that I'm going to make sure this does not happen to another Wal Mart customer. False imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon and illegal detention because they imagined I took something. I contacted three lawyers in the Dallas area and they would not take the case. I figured it was a slam dunk with all the video cameras to prove my innocence. I forgot where I was. If they can murder a President in Dallas what is a little civil rights violation. The funny thing is when I tell this story people often chime in with their Wal Mart Nightmare story. Thank You for shopping at Wal Mart!

I received a Visa Wal Mart debit card as a gift and I truly could not believe what I had to go through to activate it. First of all, they never told the person who purchased the card that they needed to send me the receipt for a number that was on that receipt to activate the card - it was impossible to get a live person on the phone to help me.
She finally found her receipt and I proceeded to try again to activate the card and could not believe ALL the information they wanted from me - this was a gift and I have no intentions of adding any more money onto this card. I am spreading the word never to buy one of these cards from Wal Mart - All I know is that when I use this card will make sure I use the full amount on the card and be done with it!

I purchased a Wal-Mart gift card for my father. Fortunately I kept the receipt. When he tried to activate it on their automated system, he was asked for a lot of personal information so he hung up a brought it to me. I called the number to try and activate the card. I had the activation number and the receipt number. The automated system is a phising scheme to get you to provide all of your personal information. At no time does the system say you do not have to provide this information to activate your card. It aks for your: name, complete address, phone number, date of birth, social security number, cell phone number and provider, and email address. I kept yelling no into the phone until the automated system routed me to a person, who also tried to imply that I must provide all of this information. I was furious. They want to send a re-loadable card and try to force you to get it by providing this personal information, before they will activate your card. I was finally, after 45 minutes able to get his card activated without providing all of this information. This is a phishing scam designed to get you to rpovide enough information to have your identity stolen. I am furious, but cannot get a real person on the phone at Wal-Mart to cpmplain.

Walmart give them money you cant get yours

I needed to pay a bill on line, so I took the last 25.00 I had to walmart and added it to my RElOADABLE VISA. GUESS WHAT Walmart gave me a reciept with a beginning balance an ending balance, a reference code, an approval code, but I have no money on my Visa. I have spent a total of 6hours at this point trying to get to my money. I have talked with many different people and they all appologize and say this will be handled within the next business day. I have explained over and over that I dont need the money tomorrow I needed it last night when I as supposed to have immediate access to MY money. They will not allow me to talk with a supervisor or give me any answers on why my money is not showing on my card.I asked one of the many people I have talked to who is going to pay me for all the time I have missed from work trying to resolve this problem, the answer I got was they will credit my card the $4.95 monthly fee. I asked how they were going to add that to my account if they couldnt add the money I gave them. This is what is wrong with America today, we spent our money locally but we have to deal with people who cant speak plain english to resolve any problems. They dont know what the problem is but they are sorry and they are working on fixing it. How ARE THEY GOING TO FIX IT IF THEY CANT TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS! So I am still wasting my time sitting here waiting on my money loosing money by not being at work waiting on their supervisor to call me back. Donald Greene
