We're pretty sure that if Walmart showed up wayyyy more often on ComplaintsBoard and paid more attention to reviews and complaints, it would lead to better results. But for now, the resolution rate doesn't show successful interaction with customers. We advise reviewers to be careful when communicating with Walmart and be ready for the chance your problem might not get a response. It's also good to start looking for other solutions if your issues aren't fixed as you want.

Walmart customer service

I was in the Scarborough, Maine, Wal Mart today looking for a particilar toy for my granddaughter for Christmas which the other stores carry. I could not find the toy. There was an "employee" (I use the term loosely) working in the aisles which I approached for helped. The women was slovenly dressed, dirty pants, grossly over weight, a too small Wal Mart over a dirty white shirt. The store shirt was so small it was rolled up under her breasts. She appeared to have the inteligence of a 5 year old. I described the toy, she replied "I don't know about that I work in the toy department." When I pointed out to her that it WAS a toy, she made no effort to get help, go look for it, look out back, or go get a manager, she just said; "Well, if you don't see it, then we don't have it." and turned back to playing with the merchandise on the shelves. What makes this incident so galling is that I have been out of work for 18 months, I have over 30 years experience in retail and customer service, had I ever treated a customer like that I would have been fired on the spot, further more I have put in application after application at Wal Mart for employment and have had several interviews to no avail, yet this incompetent ### has a job there!

For this to be a "new store", I have many complaints. This store is set up like no other Wal Mart I have ever seen. It is a warehouse..not a Wal-Mart. The ailses are set up confusingly and the feel of the store was terrible. Why not just call this "The Wal Mart Maze". Why would someone put the bread near the baby clothes? I could find absolutely NOTHING in this store. I was looking for a ceiling fan. They didn't even have any. Absolutely NONE! And the customer service was appalling. With the scarceness of jobs, you would think that the employees would value theirs a little bit more. Rude is not the word. I work a customer service job and I have to take a lot of "crap" off people, but I am blessed to have a job and take it gracefully. I work hard for my money and unfortunately Wal-Mart has taken over the area. We have no where else to shop. I will never visit this store again. Thank you!

Horrible customer service. I shopped at the Walmart 0471 Lancaster TX on 2/21/10. Spent almost $200. Cashier did not greet me, did not thank me, could not LIFT the 20 lb container of cat litter off of the counter - just let it sit there until I said something (to which she responded, "uh, I caint lift it..."), AND - here is the clincher - forgot to take off over $9 worth of coupons! Wait - it gets worse. Realizing the error AFTER I got home, I called immediately and spoke to several customer service/management people. NOT ONE PERSON gave me their name or apologized for the error. NOT ONE! NOT ONE PERSON asked my name either. Excuse me, but who does your CSR training? The absolute number one rule of great customer service is to get the customer's name and USE IT. The second rule is to ACKNOWLEDGE the customer's problem! How easy is this? You say, " I am so sorry that happened. Let me try to correct this for you." So simple - you don't have to admit any guilt, just ACKNOWLEDGE that there is a problem!

Bottom line is I had to return to the store. I HAD TO RETURN TO THE STORE! I did nothing wrong but I had to drive 20 min. EACH WAY to get my money for the coupons that your cashier MISSED. I even asked that they be mailed to me so I could just use them on a future purchase. BUT NO! I was told that "we don't mail anything." Say what? AND - I had to go thru the receipt and name off the coupons. Why didn't she go to the cashier to see if they were there? They should have been since they weren't redeemed yet. But NO! The customer service rep told me the cashier "puts the coupons in an envelope, and she don't know which ones would be mine." Really? Then how did they all mysteriously appear after I held for 15 minutes waiting to find out what Walmart was going to do to resolve this? 15 minutes. Then I was told "ma'am, I have your coupons.(Really? then why can't you MAIL them to me?) But you have to come back to the store to get your money." Why can't they just credit my account? I could provide receipt numbers, etc. This is an incredible example of POOR customer service. I wouldn't be so upset except - guess what? THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME IT'S HAPPENED! That's right - I have been thru this before! One time I called and the CSR told me I would have to bring the ITEMS back as well! Can you imagine? I am sure the general manager does not work on Sunday. Maybe he should. This store is not a pleasant place to shop. IF I continue shopping with Walmart - and I may not - I will drive 15 extra miles to go to Desoto. I want my money to stay in my community, but not if it means lousy service. And I will tell my friends - but truly, most of them stopped shopping at this location years ago. I will pay more at Tom Thumb, but the customer service is world class. Watch out because those of us who can afford to shop elsewhere will do so.

Walmart pharmacy

I picked up a prescription Wednesday and my bottle of medicine only contained 23 of the 30 tablets. I understand that medicine is something that has to be heavily regulated and society today really abuses the system. Yet, I am not an addict, I am very ethical, I am honest, and I am a good and loving husband to a great wife of almost six years. I live my life in a way as to be of the most benefit to my fellow man. I called the Wal-Mart Pharmacy and told them of my situation. The pharmacy technician told me she and the person who filled the prescription were working and I did receive 30 tablets. At this point, I have informed my doctor and also attempted to talk with Wal-Mart, yet on the fourth call, the pharmacy told me they would review the security tapes and call me with information. I have not heard from Wal-Mart yet and at this point I am planning on taking a half tablet for a few days. Yet, I payed the full price of over $100 and I expect to either be treated fairly or to boycott Wal-Mart. I have some pull in the information and technology area and I have thought about setting up a web site just to make people aware of the poor treatment and bad service I received.

I had to wait 2 hours for a prescrition to be filled. I asked if there was anyway to get it put up closer to the front of the line as I had a sick little boy and would like to get home. I was told No and I would have to wait just like the rest of the people.
So I waited and waited 2 long hours with a sick child. I would have gone somewhere else but with the time being late I thought that I better just wait the 2 hours.

Anita, what she is saying is that we do not believe you when you say a control or narcotic is missing pills, because how the hell can we ONLY miscount controls and narcotics? We seem to never miscount blood pressure or water pills or vitamins, but somehow every time a customer says we shorted them it is ALWAYS a control.

They are LIEING. We count by 5. And controls are double counted, and narcotics triple. They are also circled and initialed. We know people are trying to steal more pills. That is why the LAW states once you leave you are SOL.

What most people forget is that PHARMACISTS and PHARMACY TECHNICIANS are people, too. We screw up. It's interesting, however, that 99.8% of the "screw ups" that get called to our attention involve some sort of narcotic and the quantity. Please. Nobody ever calls to tell us that we shorted them on their blood pressure pills, which require virtually no additional inventory stipulations. Interesting...

I got my meds filled at Walmart and one of my prescriptions was for 120 pills and 30 of them were short! 30 pills were missing! I took the bottle out of the sack while I was still there at the store and could tell just by looking at the bottle that it was short so I told and showed the pharmacist right then and there and after standing my ground, they fixed it but said it would be the only time they would honor a mistake like that and fix it. It was THIER mistake! I will never again get my medicine filled at Walmart, or at least not that one.

I will never fill another script at Wal-mart. In my area, they are the same as in yours. The $4. generic is a hoax unless you use their generics. I found this out when I was not able to take their generic brand of one of my meds. When they had to get it from another generic company the cost rose to $56. I promptly moved ALL of my meds to one of the drugstore chains and get their discount card which helps lower my payment for my meds.
The #1 way to protest such treatment is to STOP USING WALMART! It works! You think you are one tiny ant...but when we ALL join together, WE ARE LOUD! Why do you think those usually FULL aisles in Wal-mart are now empty? The recession, some, but people have begun to wake up and shop wisely. I've personally 'rolled back' to other local chains that have also lowered their prices.

Walmart black friday scams

We arrived at Wal-Mart at 6:00 PM to get in line for all of the supposedly great sales. We were # 8 to go thru the door. Doors opened at 12:00 AM, you went to the perspective station where you wanted to buy your merchandise, you were asked how many, and given a slip of paper with the quantity of merchandise you wanted and told to stand in that line for another two hours so that you could get a wristband for merchandise.

My husband and I were #1 in the $198 Laptop group. We asked for 3 laptops (you were allowed to buy up to 6). At that time my husband asked how many laptops were available for sale and he was told 97. After people were in line the employee gave a spiel about what was to transpire. We were told that we had to stay in line the whole tow hours or you forfeit your merchandise, you were guaranteed that if you came back between 5-6 AM that you would receive your merchandise. If you did not show up by 6:00 your merchandise would also be forfeited. After you receive your wristband at 2:00 pm. you were free to roam the store or leave and come back to get your merchandise. We did some shopping at Wal-Mart and at approximately 5:15 AM we decided to go and pick up our $198 laptops. When we got to the area and showed our wristband we were told that they were all gone.

I went in to get the ipad on Black Friday. I was told that I had to ay for it then it would be shipped. I waited in line or over an hour. The cashier didn't know how to ring it up or knew what she was doing. After she rang it up she said I could come later when it came to pick it up or go on line and they would let me know when it would come in. After 2 weeks I called to see if they were in. I was told I was suppose to register it. When I tried to register it I couldn't so I called customer service. I kept getting the run around and kept being placed on hold for over an hour. I never got to speak to a supervisor and I'm out $433. SCAM!

I find it amazing, that you made it to the store, and waited 6 hours to get in, then 2 more hours for these laptops. I hope the people who got them, don't have quality issues with them, as a laptop for $198.00, sounds a bit too good to be true.

Walmart walmart broke a hose of my car while doing an oil change

On August 25th 2010 I brought my car to Walmart Tire and Lube Store #2671 1175 S Arizona Ave, Chandler AZ. Besides the oil change I asked them to change the oil filter the air filter and to also change 2 tires, balance them. I want to clarify that my car was in perfect conditions before I brought it to Walmart. After around 2 hours they spent working on my car they called me saying it was ready. I picked it up around 5pm and drove home, on my way though, the light of the coolant on the front console start flashing but as I lived 30 minutes from the store and I was almost arriving my place I decided not to return to the store immediately but to go home, call them and ask them what did they do with my car. After waiting long minutes on an automatic machine I finally could talk with the person in charge of the Tire and Lube store. He told me they just did what I asked them to do and that they didn't mess with the coolant system at all. As the store was closing soon the asked me to go the next day to have my car checked. That afternoon after visual inspection under the hood I could see that the coolant liquid was lower than usual.
The next day in the morning I opened the hood again just to find out no coolant at all! Obviously there was a leak somewhere. I didn't risk it to go all the way to walmart, so I went around the corner to BigOTires where they found out that the upper radiator hose which connects the coolant with the radiator was broken and worst that it had been glued to provide a temporally solution. I went mad and after paying 226.77 dollars for replacing the broken hose and adding new coolant, I went to walmart and put a claim, complaining on walmart broking the upper radiator hose, gluing it to provide a temporally solution and not telling me what happened, risking the life of my car's motor, not to mention my own life as this incident could lead to a sudden accident on the highway.
The weird misbehavior of walmart didn't end up there. I put a claim on August 26th 2010 and the person in charge, I believe his name is Dean Rust, told me that I should receive shortly a letter from Claims Management. After two weeks I went back to walmart and complaint about my claim and that I didn't receive, nor heard about it in 2 weeks. The person in charge checked the claim and just told me "I don't know why but something happened and it didn't go through, let me try it again". I stayed calm and just told them to please understand my situation the car was working perfectly before the oil change, the person changing the oil, the oil filter and air filter may had stepped badly on the hose and after breaking it tried to glue it. Anyway, the claim went through this time and after a couple of days I received a letter on September 9th from Steven Redetzke from "CMI, Claims Management, inc. Respect Service Excellence". He took my case and told me he would ask walmart for the video of that day and revise it for any weird behavior of the workers under the hood. On October 8th I received another letter from CMI from the case manager Steven Redetzke, saying that a decision concerning my claim had been taken. I called him and he just limited his time to tell me that my car was already 10 years old and that that could happened by chance. He added that he didn't need to ask for the video and just limited to ask Walmart for a report on the case. I tried to make my point on the fact that it is really suspicious that the car has been working perfectly and just after an oil change the radiator hose is broken, appeared to be glued and specially that "no way" I could have been driving the car in that conditions over to walmart in the first instance. No positive answer regarding my claim came from Steven Redetzke who stopped listening to my complains and in an impolite and unprofessional way tried to get rid of me on the phone by saying a couple of times "This conversation is over".

Now, the only thing that is left to me is to advice everyone out there to stop buying at Walmart, not only for the bad quality of the products and services but also for the irresponsible behavior they show everyday to their customers, I am not alone there are plenty of this type of cases complaining against Walmart, I just wish I had listened to them before.

I agree. I had the same exact thing broken off my Pontiac G8 during an oil change in Orlando, Florida. In addition, I had a rude person at Claims Management as well. Who in fact, did hang up on me after telling me the conversation was over. And during my conversation, also blamed this on circumstance (my car is only 2 years old!). I know they did it. And I have boycotted Wal-Mart since the date I found out they denied my claim.

Walmart - theft accussation

Walmart advertized price

My fiance and I purchased a TV from a Wal-Mart yesterday from the Bainbridge location. We were at the Macedonia Wal-Mart today, looking for a mount to fit the TV, when we saw the TV we bought yesterday was being advertized for 30 dollars cheaper. We went to customer service where we talked with Katie. After she made some phone calls we followed her back to the TV section to prove they were advertizing the TV at a reduced price. After getting the model number and comparing it to our reciept Katie told us that the TV in the display was actually priced incorrectly and we paid the correct price. She could not refund us the 30 difference of Macedonia's posted price and the price we paid. She told us we could only get it for the posted reduced price if we purchased a second TV right now, and then we could return the one we bought in Bainbridge the day before to the Bainbridge location. If the motto is satisfaction garaunteed, why am I not satified. Why is it so hard to give me a 30 dollar credit for their mistake of falsely posting a sign almost as large as the TV itself with a incorrect price. Why did I have to by a second TV and charge my credit card a second time and spend my time driving all over town in order to get this price? This doesn't make sense for a manager to take this stand when the company that has a 60 inch tall sign with quotes stating "Customer Satisfaction Garaunteed". I will never buy another thing from this Wal-Mart location ever. I beleive the management here is all about profit and numbers and not about customer satisfaction. They left me feeling ripped off, not satified. this is the exact opposite of the strategy that made Wal-Mart so successful. Wal-Mart Macedonia Management team - Epic Fail

Walmart black friday horrible experience

After 36 minutes driving my daugther and I arrived at Walmart in Ware, MA from springfield MA. We managed to be two of the first 50 to enter the store interested on two 32" emerson Screen TV which were on sale for $198.00.

We finally made it and got the TV's but I was told at the register that my check can not be process because possibly because my account in from an out of state bank (banco popular). I asked the associate if she could hold them for me while i run to the closest bank of america atm. She said no but gave me instructions of how to get there. I left the items with my daugther while i drove to te atm.
My daugther said that right after i left an associate communicated her that if i was not there in less than 20 min. they were going to give the tv's to another customer because there were no more left at the store. Because I was in an unfamiliar area i got lost and took me 20 to 30 minutes. When i returned with the cash to the store my daugther told me an associate took the tv's away from her and gave them to another customers. I ask to speak with the manager and after trying to convince me that it was to late to do the purchase with vague statements, he tried to sell me two other tvs that i am not familiar with so i did not accepted. I feel violated as a customer. As far as I know black friday is about who gets there first and not who can pay it first, since people can take their item and go shooping for other things, then pay. I feel my daugther was violated since she felt intimaidated by the associates approach. I waited hours under the rain and cold waiting for that door to open, i waited in line and i dont think they will loose anything if they waited for me 5 min. I feel something should be done about. Walmart does not have a limit of the time you should stay indoors while buying. I am a mother who went thru the sacrifices that black fridays demand in order to get a nice christmast present to my two children and came back home empty handed knowing that is not until next year when i can afford to give them teir tv rooms.

Wow, I'm concerned about you, how old is your daughter, you left alone, in a WM where she was intimidated by the staff? Also, like everyone else has stated, how did they know just when you would get back? It doesn't matter how long it took. The customers there with the cash to pay or the proper form of payment for that WM, were there, ready to buy your items. Tough break, but there is always next year.

Walmart stay away

During my November 15, 2010, visit to the vision center of your Wal-Mart store in York County, Va. (Phone No. [protected] -- where I'd gone to purchase a pair of prescription glasses), my personal check for $204.00, made payable to Wal-Mart, failed to pass acceptance by the store's TeleCheck process.

Before leaving the store, I opted to pay for the ordered glasses in cash (Order No. 1059847). Then, fearing that my BB&T Bank checking account had been drained by an identity thief, I visited a local branch in Newport News to determine the current status and security of my account. The branch's "relationship banker" confirmed that my account contains ample resources to have covered the purchase in question. A few days ago, I learned, from examination of my latest monthly bank-account statement, that this confirmation (in the form of an "image research fee") has resulted in a Nov. 16, 2010, service charge to my account in the amount of $16.00. This fee acts as an unjust penalty for my daring to resolve a matter traceable to no fault of my own. I therefore ask that your company reimburse me for this unnecessary expenditure.

This highly stressful encounter with such an inherently flawed automated system as TeleCheck raises questions about your company's end-justifies-the-means approach to customer relations. I therefore suggest that you abandon the TeleCheck system and post a storewide notice that Wal-Mart no longer honors any customer's proposed payment by personal check. That way, we would know, upon our arrival, whether it's worth bothering to proceed further into the store. In the meantime, because of this negative, costly experience, I'm weighing the merits of ever again shopping for any big-ticket item within the Wal-Mart complex.

Walmart theft

I thought I did this yesterday, I don't see it on complaints board. Here's the story. On 10/24/2010 I checked my bank account on line. Someone at Walmart.com had charged $279. 61 on my debit card. I immediatly looked up the phone number for walmart.com & told the guy what had happened. He laughed and said that someone had changed a letter in my email address & used my debit card to charge the $279.61. He said that the item hadn't shipped yet & cancelled the order. He wouldn't tell me who had done it or what they had tried to buy. When I have emailed walmart.com I have been told that I had to file a police report to get any information from them. They did not get the money out of the account, So I don't see what the police report will do. I had to rush to my bank to cancel my debit card. Tell all of your friends & relatives that walmart.com is not secure to order anything from them. Do not give them your debit or charge card numbers. Someone there is a thief. I am a senior on disability, So I believe that this is a crime against seniors.

asas, You are right about the senior thing, Just angry that it could happen. But, If I hadn't checked my bank account early on a Sunday morning, I repeat, Sunday morning. Who does that ? The order would have been shipped & then what ? Do you think they would have just refunded the $279 61 with no problem ? You are right too . I will never order anything from them again. But you are wrong that they are secure, apparently they are not if this can happen. Also to CGS, I did report to the Attorney General & to the Internet Crime Complaint Center ic3.gov on line. I received an e mail back telling me that they received the complaint. Yahoo.

I have also put this on facebook & twitter to warn others to avoid walmart.com. Have a good day

A similar thing happened to me 2/2/11. I found that someone had purchased an iPod touch for 291.49 and charged my debit card. They had also changed information in my Walmart.com account. The item was to be picked up in West Palm Beach, if I remember correctly. Considering how often this occurs, it is likely someone who works for the company and has access to people's accounts.

Walmart customer service

So I get my cell phone wet last nite, and erosion sets in fast, and as luck would have it today it powers down and wont turn on! I''m a very busy person like most of us in todays mainstream buisness world, so with out my phone im a sitting duck and will cost me money with every call missed! So I move fast to my local WAL MART where my phone is from, in a panic i go back to electronics where i can get my new phone, of course there locked and i need assistance, theres a female associate there and when i ask her for help she tells me shes on a break but she will get sumone to help me, wich she does and gets back on her cell phone with her personal call on the sales floor! This next associate DOES NOT look happy about being introduced to me and my request for a cell phone! I tell her i have this hundred dollar straight-talk phone thats not working right cause it got wet, so i need another one fast cause im expecting some important calls ! I then also ask her if she can turn it on with my pre excisting number, she very fast says ''you need to turn it on online at your own home! I knew this was a false statment because iv'e had this problem in the past and the other associates of the past were very freindly and represented WAL MART well, and activated by phone with straight talk representives in a matter of minutes! I then asked her are you refusing to help me with request ? She then handed me to yet another assiociate named Brandon, now this is where it really goes crazy ! Brandon is not in a good mood at all, and i can tell he does NOT want anything to do with this AT ALL ! the red headed associate tells Brandon what im requesting and he starts the same song and dance about how i need to do this myself at my house! i explain to brandon i know this is not true and asked him could he please help me activate my phone i just purchached from them! Brandon slowly opens the box and looks at it and turns it around and says little sarcastic remarks of this and that ! brannon then gets on the phone like hes trying to do somthing about getting this resovled, this last for about a minute, then brandon says im going to lunch this associate here will help you ! he sets the phone down and leaves ! Well the assocate he is refuring to is really busy helping cutomers and has a line of four more customers waiting, '' im like i dont belive this ! In my mind i want a refund for this phone and i need to talk to a manger, as im leaving the electronics department, low and behold a associate is walking my way from the front of the store I say excuse me mam im trying to locate a manager? I think her name is Nattalie ! she says ''YOUR LOOKING AT ONE !WHAT DO YOU NEED? I told her everything that happened and i would like a refund on my phone ! she said ''go to the front and get it! and left !
I went to the front and gave the assocate there the phone box and recipte and told her nattlie said to come up her and get my refund! She called Nattalie on the phone and you could here nattliesay ''TELL HIM IM BUSY''
by this time the red headed lady came up front and said ''o'' u want your money back, cause we wont help you turn it on! ''she laughs and walks away'' NOW IF THIS DIDNT HAPPEN TO ME I WOULDNT HAVE BELIVED IT! After 20 molre minutes went by i finnaly got my money back and left, no better off than i was when i went in the WAL MART ! So I'm ''NOT'' going to let this go ! IM NOT GOING TO LET BIG BUISNESS THINK THEY ARE GOING TO GET AWAY WITH TREATING ME OR ANYONE ELSE LIKE THAT! I'm going to get the word out untill it is handled i felt belittle, disrespected, and embarresed !

very un-happy customer ! les

Walmart pricing

Walmart prices the same merchandise differently throughout their store. I picked up a jar of Jiff peanut butter off a display as I walked into the store. It was advertised for $2.50. At the checkout counter, it rang up for $2.98...the price it was marked at in the grocery section. I brought it to the cashier's attention, and he rudely said it was $2.98...did I want it or not! I said, yes, but for the $2.50 price. He fought me on it, but I stood my ground until a manager said to give it to me at that price. This isn't the first time I've seen Walmart do this. It's very unethical, not to mention false advertising.

THIS PRICE OF CIGARETTES AT WALMART ARE RIDICULOUS! Connecticut has some of the highest taxes there are on cigarettes (and gasoline/diesel), so why does Walmart feel it necessary to charge FULL-BLOWN RETAIL ON CIGARETTES? Supposedly Walmart has these fantastic deals with all manufacturers of like EVERYTHING, so why not cigarettes? Is Walmart the problem or the tobacco companies? I can get cigs for less at 7-11 for god's sake! I would expect Walmart to have the absolute lowest price on everything - not pick-and-choose like this. I have a sneaking suspicion this is some kind of MORAL choice on Walmart's behalf and I DON'T APPRECIATE IT! We already have the government taxing the hell out of cigarettes because they are "protecting us" from getting sick. We don't need retailers jumping on the bandwagon!

Thanks for reading...

Hallie Jay...some people are on a very tight budget these days and 50 cents here and there adds up very fast. When we use money from our checking account we round off in the checkbook register, not counting the change involved. (Write a check for 10.25, put 11.00 in the register. Deposit 400.12, put 400.00 in the register.) About every 3 months I add the hidden change back in. We save about 25 dollars a month, 300 dollars a year, that way. So, change does matter. Also, in Minnesota and I'm sure other states as well, there is no tax on grocery food and clothing.

WOW! That 50 cents could be foundon the ground at the parking lot at walmart. i dont thing that there isnt a bit deal over keeping the 50 cents.and btw, it could have been part of the taxes.

Good point stealth. I always find it ironic that shoppers expect lower prices when signs are confusing, but when the item rings up for cheaper, they stay silent.

If a company as large as walmart can't do business right, then they should not be doing business at all. If they can't keep up with their own prices, then they need to shut their doors. And for all you walmart employees who have nothing to do but defend your precious company that could care less about you, get back to work cause your break is over.

There is this little thing called section 5 of the FTC Act. Companies are responsible for honoring the advertised price, not the consumer. I refuse to argue with you over the internet. My posts are for those who are truly interested in taking legal action, not someone trolling the internet.

Immodest, I never made mention of a conspiracy theory. And you are 100% completely right, she had no obligation to buy the product. However, when a customer is buying multiple items and when there is a small nuance such as 50 cents it is easy for it to get lost in the grand total. I was not there and I may not know the complete details of the story, however there have been cases where large companies do this on purpose all of the time. This case may simply be one of error due to the large quantity of items, but if it is not then shouldn't something be done to prevent this from happening? P.S. I prefer Law and Order.

As people said above, with thousands of items in a store it is guaranteed that mis-pricing happens. It also happens that sometimes people see prices as they want to see them.

Why do all you people side with the corporation? This woman has a legitimate claim. She was almost scammed out of 50 cents for one item. That is 17% of the purchase price. If Walmart does this to a customer every time they visit that 50 cents can become 50 dollars. Imagine 50 dollars a year per customer, and there are 10, 000 customers per store ( a very CONSERVATIVE number), that is $500, 000 dollars each year that this Walmart is making at the cost of the consumer, at the cost of your community. Walmart has 8500 stores worldwide, under various names. However, for the sake of argument I will use the 750 stores branded simply as Walmart. 750 * 500, 000 is $375 MILLION dollars for just that silly little 50 cents. Sure it seems like a small amount at first, but its your money. What is the difference between this and someone taking money out of your pocket? I am really interested in if this is a regular occurrence or just a minor slip up here and there. If this has happened to you please contact me at EddieRKA@gmail.com.

Walmart stupid people!

My wife and I and our kids have been sick, we stopped by Wal Mart to buy some medicine, and they failed to give us all of our bags. We live quite a distance away. They will not compensate us for gas, nor will they deliver the goods. They make me sicker than I am!

Walmart upper level compassion

The open door policy is a crock since I have had a nervous breakdown due solely to one of your assistant supervisors and am no longer mentally capable to enter my place of work and none of the other assistants or the main supervisor, whom has been replaced by another who I have not met and as i understand hasnt started work yet, have tried to speak with me over the phone or email or regular mail. So much for Walmart Family values within the associates branch. I am both mentally and physically capable of doing the job that I loved doing . My store number is 3770, stuart virginia. My lawyers and workmans comp have made a settlement, none of which I have seen a dime of and my family and my resources are nearly dwindled down to nothing, so that when or if my settlement comes in there will be nothing left to live on let . And still the original problem is there both mentally and physically and I have no way to take care of my family or myself. Thank you good people of walmart for your mental health and just plain human compassion for your associates. yours truely Bobby lee Gammons 3rd shift

Walmart cannot get them to close account

My husand and I received an offer for a WalMart credit card for $100 limit. We paid our account off with them in 2008 and closed the account (so we were told). We didn't respond to the offer, didn't get a card in the mail, didn't activate it either. Next thing we know we get a bill in late August with a $45 balance on it. When I called to inquire and close the account (that I did not open) I was told the $45 was for credit card security dues and I had to call the company on the invoice to cancel that then, and only then, I could call WalMart back to close the account. On September 3rd I called the "credit card secuirty service" which was a Montgomery Ward recording and talked to "Linda" and had the dues rescinded. I was advised they would close the account through WalMart with no further hassle to me. Since that time I have received bills, collection calls and many a heartache being on the phone for many hours trying to get the problem resolved. I am told I need to call the credit card security company and when I call they tell me we aren't on their system anymore because they closed our account on September 3rd. It is now November 8th and I have received harassing phone calls and bills with late payment charges that now total approximately $65. I had a WalMart Customer Service Representative accuse me of cursing at her tonight when I did not. I also told the lady that I did not want to have problems with any of this showing up on my credit report. I have never been so harassed, pissed, mad, upset and put off by this kind of situation in my life. Interestingly, when I called last week on the 4th (yes this is a weekly thing) and again talked to the "credit card security company" the young lady I was with on the line decided to help me get this taken care of once and for all. She told me "they" would be upset when she conferenced a call with her, WalMart and myself together in order to take care of the problem. Needless to say once I identified to WalMart that the other party was on the phone with us she miraculously disappeared from the conversation. I was told tonight that the account had been closed but had a $45 balance and they were "investigating" the matter. I have to wonder what WalMart does with all the money from the people who pay these things without putting up the long fight or just not even checking the bill and paying it. Any suggestions any one? I am fed up and WalMart totally sucks in my eyes. I sure hope someone from WalMart sees this because there is no other way I can get through to those people.

I just noticed a fee from Card Securities on my Jan. 2011 statement. I called card securities to cancel my enrollment and they did. I them went back and viewed my previous statements and found charges every month from Card Securities. I called them back and asked them to find out for me who authorized my enrollment in their program. They took my information and are supposed to call me in a couple of days. I have over $100 in charges from this company that I didn't authorize. Has anyone else had these charges appear on their walmart credit card statement? If so, did you have any luck getting any of your money back? WARNING ! ! ! ANY ONE WITH A WALMART CREDIT CARD CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS NO UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES ON IT. IT TOOK ME A YEAR TO REALIZE IT.

Walmart credit card error

After my order was rang up, I told the cashier I was using 2 debit cards. I showed the first card and said I need to put $50 on this card and the balance on another card. She said ok swipe the card. I swiped the card. The signature line appeared for me to sign. I asked the cashier, why didn't it show me to sign for only $50. She said she forgot to put it in. I explained to her that that is not what I had wanted. That I only had $50 to be removed from that card. She said well it went through so you must have it in there. I said yes, I do. But, that isn't what I wanted. I had other payments/checks that would be posted to the acct and if I spent more I would have bounced fees. She said, well we will have to re-ring it all up; I don't know what to do. A head cashier came over, she said again it went thru if you want to cancel we have to re-ring it. I said that's what needs to be done. The head cashier re-swiped my card and said it didn't go thru since I didn't sign anything. So, the items were re-rung and I paid $50 towards the $153 order and put the balance on my other card. When I got home, I called my bank and they said the original order for $153 was pending and so was the $50. My bank said I needed to go back to WalMart and have them call with a an authorization number to release the hold on my account; I couldn't do that. So, I went back to WalMart spoke with the assistant manager, politely told her what happened. She looked up my original receipt. In the meantime, the head cashier came over (the one that I had at the original transaction). I told her that the bank said it went through and that I was very upset. In the meantime, I had checks that would be pending on this account too and that bounced fees would be piling up. She and the assistant manager said there was nothing they could do for me. That WalMart doesn't get involved in my problems. MY PROBLEMS! They even said it was my fault that I chose my bank and it could take up to 30 days for my money to be returned into my account. I then got VERY UPSET! MY PROBLEM! I did get very upset then. I said who is going to pay for these fees; what am I suppose to do without my money, what happens if this transaction does go through and I am out the $153 plus the $50 that I did the second time. I asked if she would please call the banks 800 number to help me. She said no. Another man from management came over and told me to be quiet that it wasn't WalMarts fault that if I had been accurate in the first place there wouldn't be an issue. So now I am no longer the victim I am the problem. The three said it wasn't there problem it was mine and it was now between me and my bank! So who cares if the cashier made the original mistake. I stood there for an extra half hour trying to get this right and it is MY MONEY MY BANK and I am the customer. In these days, $153 is alot of money plus bank fees and the humiliation of returned fees that I can't afford to pay. BECAUSE WALMART CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEIR MANAGEMENT HAVE NO SKILLS TO ADMIT THEY MADE A MISTAKE NOR WOULD THEY EVEN TRY TO CORRECT IF FOR ME. I told them you want me to be quiet. I have been here 3 times in 2 hours due to your mistake not mine and now it's all my fault! I even told the head cashier you were standing there when the cashier admitted she made the mistake; now she sides with management and the -ell with me. I left there in such a terrible state of tears, humiliation and nausea.

wow that is some ### luck. I see where you are coming from and it is in fact walmart's fault. If they wont take responsibility for their employees actions, you may want to consider legal measures. I would consult a lawyer if I were you. Consulting is usually free, and if they say you have a case, and if you actually win, walmart will have to cover your legal fees. Also ask your bank to waive the fees given the scenario. If they won't, you may have to cover them temporarily until walmart bucks up and pays you back in or out of court.

Walmart poor customer service

I went to Smart Style Salon at 9:00am to get a relaxer so I could go to work that afternoon. I had to wait for the stylist because she came in to work wearing capris and wanted to buy some long pants in Walmart. I left and came back and the stylist was in the back of the store. She did not acknowledge me when I came in. I had to find her. She was not very friendly and she did not smile.

I spent three hours getting a relaxer, a blow dry and flat iron. She did not blow dry my hair all the way before applying heat from the flat iron, she over heated my hair with the flat iron, she did not use any styling tools when she blew dried my hair. By the time I left, my hair looked terrible. She did not even give me a style. You could not tell that I had been to the salon.

The stylist had the nerve to give me her card in case I wanted to come back after I complained that it took so long for nothing. I will never let this woman touch my hair again. She was unfriendly and did not know how to do her job.

loooool, paid the best in the industry? 7.30 per hour( minimum wage), and if you can make commission... 40 % and no hourly pay! No, and no that is an awful pay rate for a stylist, especially when you clean shelves, restock, mop and sweep, run the front desk, answer phones, do laundry, hand out coupons and check out products on top of it all! No excusing that awful cut you got, and I hope they make it right for you! But for every good stylist there are also the bad ones, who do not listen and or just inexperienced or don't care. I do hope they make it right! and boy am I glad i got out of there! now I make what I should!

Walmart changed and called the same

Have been buying WalMart brand Arabica Bean Coffee for years and years so this month they make the can 6 oz smaller charge the same and change it to "roast" which is horrid coffee, it lacks flavor and I know it is cheaper. I used to be able to count on it but no more. Why don't they just say" Brand New, no flavor, cheaper coffee, now get less for more money!"
Also they don't carry frozen Welch's Cranberry Juice any more . Numerous other "good" items have disappeared.

I quit shopping at the hole years ago for some of the same and many other reasons. Most of their great value stuff is now at sams which is what?$35/year just to walk in.Now if there are 3 things i purchase there per month, it is alot.I used to work for a company which contracted with them and as a result, I saw many pre-store opening things which occur.Between what the company makes and what they pay their employees AND benefits, the place is a joke alone.Add in the fact that they charge $2 more for extra sized clothing, probably because they have to pay another kid in China 30 cents/hour to hold up the other half because it is too big for 1 kid, then sell it for $17 with shoddy stitching, screw them.Yes my wife has been sewing for 20+ years and knows shoddy stitching when she sees it and will not buy clothes there.Anyone can see brainwashing also, almost cult-like...seriously.
