Wallside Windows new windows

I had new windows put in my home. 2377 Lakeside road Erie Michigan 48133 June 6th 2022. I had problems with ice building up on the inside of window frames last winter when it was very cold. I called the company back in January and they had sent out an inspector to look at them Febuary 4th he came out. He had told me that they have had other complaints about this problem and told me I would hear something from them within a couple weeks. Well it has been over a month and still have not heard anything from them. I paid good money for these windows and thought I was getting quality replacment windows put in my home. Ihad took pictures of the problem and gave them to the inspector and also submited them to the company.

Desired outcome: I told the inspector that I would like something done with these windows or have them replaced again. If they don't want to replace them I would like a complete refund and I will call another window company.

Wallside Windows Wallside Windows

We had wi does installed and they aren't level, the trim on the outside has cracked and open areas that weren't cut and caulked right, the inside trim is a mess, uneven reveal, some have a reveal on the bottom, some the top and some overlap the jams. The trim doesn't match the trim they put in other rooms, the caulk on the outside is clumpy, thick, uneven and gobs it just hanging in the corners. The windows are scratched, dirty and the joints still
have blue plastic stuck in them. On some windows they had to put two pieces of jams to frame it in because the windows seem too small so they had to build up and fill in the opening to make the windows fit. Some reveals overlap and some don't even cover the obvious mending job they tried to do. The molding has chunks taken out out and the miter corners don't line up. They cracked our siding on the outside as well as chipped the paint off. On top of all this customer service doesn't seem to care to respond to our emails, calls and pictures.

Desired outcome: New windows that fit properly

Wallside Windows Bay window

New Bay window only couple months old, rubber seal cracked inside, casement hard to open.. called service dept, 2 weeks to get appt, then on day of appt tech called had auto problem at 4 pm. Still waiting for service appt. Called again left message with a supervisor, . Still no response.

Wallside Windows Windows break constantly, difficult to get them to honor their warranty

We have wallside replacement windows with a full warranty. The windows break constantly, either they won't shut all the way, the handle (crank) breaks within weeks, and the latching mechanism breaks in the locked position so you can't open the window.

It's so difficult to get anyone to come out and fix the windows that we've given up trying more than once or twice a year. I've just called at least 10 times in the last week and been on hold for almost 2 hours with no results. I've submitted online, left voicemails and no one has bothered to call.

Fortunately, I've documented every attempt over the last few years and the half-baked attempts to repair the windows. I'll have to see what my next steps are.

My advice - stay far away.

Wallside Windows Replacement Windows

We had Wallside out to give us a quote on replacing the windows in our home. The sales representative walked through the house and viewed each window and provided us with a quote at a competitive price. He represented that the windows we would get were Energy Star 6 certified. After examining the quote we realized that the quote did not specify the model of window we were going to get and we wanted to ensure we could get a rebate from our gas company and that rating is required. The National Fenestration Rating Council(NFRC) is the organization that rates the windows and certifies them to the governement regulations NFRC.org When we requested that they provide the CPD# from the NFRC website for the windows we would receive on the quote, they withdrew the quote? If you check the NFRC website you will see that they make dozens of Double Hung windows many of which have different U-Factors and SHGC ratings. All windows with the same trade name are not the same. Watch for the bait and switch and get everything in writing.

Furthermore, each window comes with a label that specifically details the NFRC requirements so we cannot change the window provided from the window you intended to purchase. Wallside Windows Replacement Front Door

Bought a front door from Wallside Windows. This door was supposed to be oak stained and professionally installed. The door came out an ugly yellowish unstained color. The installer said they made a mistake. He said he would install this door and then when the stained door came in they would replace it. He also said they do not make doors so the stained door has to be ordered. The new door frame was crooked and there was gaps in the door seals where you could see daylight. The step seal at the bottom was so high that it was dangerous for me to walk across. Wallside said they would replace door frame, seals, and the step seal with a handicap model. I tripped on the high step seal and was injured. Did they care NO. I told them I would be visiting relatives out of state during the winter. Wallside said no problem they would replace the door and door frame when I got back. They never replaced the door as promised. When I refused to pay the balance until the door was replaced they ruined my credit. Having a credit company call and threaten me financially. This has been almost two years. Still no door as promised and they still have a credit company calling me for money. My advise is to go to a professional door company not a siding company who does doors on the side. Before getting windows, siding or doors from any company see the movie the Tin Man.

The name of the movie is Tin Men not Tin Man. Very good movie that everyone getting windows or siding should see.

Stay as far away from wallside as you can! I live in houghton lake michigan I also had my windows installed by wallside and the reason they tout thier worthless warranty believe me is cause your gonna need it. I had a lot of windows put in cause someone said they were a good company. I got three different estimates like my daddy allways taught me: One from Northeast Window and Door in Harrisville, One from the Window and Siding Warehouse in Rose City And Wallside Windows in Taylor. Three hours from were I live. How stupid can one women be? If I only thought of that before I ordered the windows I could have saved myself a lot of trouble. But the sales guy said they were in the area that day so I thought great we set an appnt. And all the B.S. started. He said these are the best windows and they have the best warranty and they have been around 65 years, Come to find out they have only been manufacturing vinyl windows since the late 80, s but they were the cheapest, So I went with wallside, Big mistake ! ! 1st of all I should have realized that being three hours away, What will I do if I need service ?, I should have listened to my instincts ! Cause that's all I have been doing for month's now is service on these windows.They said is was'nt the windows it was the installation and the guy, s who put the windows in are no longer employed by them. It took weeks and weeks before I could even get anyone to come out to address my issue's The windows they sell are the worst windows ever. to make things worse the guys who put them in OMG. They had some guys who I found out later were sub-contractors not employees..do a horrible job. All my windows were leaking and crooked, They kept sending new people out to fix em. After several attempts to fix the problems I filed a lawsuit and had a the window company from rose city change all the windows out and They did a beautiful job. I guess the old saying still goes: Good things are seldom cheap, And Cheap things are seldom good.My advise? Do your home work
