Walgreens filling prescription hostility whenever I rx narcotic pain meds

I am sick of racist pharmacists in stores like in collinsville and fairview heights, il giving me problems eg. Whenever i rx narcotics meds for patients i deem are sincere in their pains eg. Diabetic neuropathy. If they are so paranoid about these meds then the government needs to return my $700 fee for my legitimate dea license and i will gladly send any patients needing more than aleeve or ibuprofen to one of thiose pain management ctr which i think is the intentions of these racist beings at walgreens in order to force me out of business. But until then i would greatly apppreciate if these beings stop giving me and my patients a hard time and just fill the damn prescriptions and stop harassing me! i even paid for a stamp pad with my name, license number and dea number that use over my signature and still that is not enough. If this continues i will simply need to explain to patients to get the rx from their pcp and leave me alone because i am not getting paid anything for writing for rx!

You are aware of all the restrictions that walgreens HAS to follow concerning narcotics? Stop pulling the race card when you don't get your own way.

Walgreens unethical behaviour / poor customer service

The purpose of this e-mail is to submit a compliant regarding pharmacist Ms. Glendali Camacho at the Walgreens in las Piedras, Puerto Rico store #945. The pharmacist failed to secure required documentation to insurance company thus noting my having to wait an additional 72-hours for medication approval. Please note that prescription was submitted 24-hours prior to today- day of pick-up but because they failed to follow protocol for insurance coverage of a medication that costs over $700.00 dollars; I was told in a condescending, rude and careless manner to move from the wait line and return when called for pick-up- possibly 72-hours.

It is important to note that I had to call the insurance line and inform pharmacy what to do since the pharmacist / manager Mr. Alexis Rodriguez were out of sorts and unsure what to do with regard to prior authorization of noted medication. As a result, I requested my prescription back- aided them in securing cancellation of scripts to submit to another pharmacy.

I will never use Walgreens' pharmacy services again since my health is paramount. The idea that persons like Ms. Glendali Camacho can come to the window and say..." well if you have $700.00 to pay for your medication you can stay in line but if not you have to leave and wait until we get to completing the process...come back with the money or within 72-hours.
I have never been treated like this and as a result; I will no longer use this service thus encourage others not to either. Please educate your staff and or replace with others that are approachable. Completely disappointed.

Walgreens pharmacy/pharmacist

I went to pick-up my prescription -which my doctor had called in early for me- of Hydrocodone 10/325, Count 60 because when I called to check if it was ready at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2017, they an automated voice told me I could pick it up any time after 5:45 PM. When I got to the Pharmacy at approximately 11:00 PM, they refused to give me my prescription until they either talked to my doctor, or on June 1, 2017. They said they thought it was a refill -which in and of itself is ludicrous due to the fact that you cannot even have a reoccurring refill on a controlled substance of that class, so that just is not true- and they felt my doctor would not want me to have it until the First. Well when did your pharmacist earn an MD? And even if he had a MD, he's not MY DOCTOR. Further, since when does your pharmacist think he can either read my doctors mind, or decide what he means beyond the written prescription? In conclusion, I was denied my legal prescription and have had to be in severe pain for not just the weekend, but Memorial Day as well, and I have Aortic Aneuryisms- that's right, Two of them- and I am in an incredible amount of pain all because your rude, wrong, arrogant employee thinks he has the right to overrule my licensed physician's written order. I can guarantee you that come tomorrow morning, my doctor is going to be one angry fellow because you violated my rights, the law, and changed his orders without his permission. Oh, and I've reported this to the DEA who are always interested in people pretending to be doctors who PRACTICE MEDICINE WITHOUT A LICENSE, and they control both distribution and the doctors who write the prescriptions for them, so I am going to see to it that your unprofessional pharmacist doesn't do this to anyone else. I can honestly say, the Pharmacists involved in this situation, are not just wrong, but stupid. Not only was my prescription filled on the day my doctor called it in(Friday, May 26, 2017), but it was approved by my insurance company, put in the lettered bins of prescriptions that are ready to be picked-up, and evidently, that was forgotten. Because why else would the Pharmacy Manager/Supervisor call me on Tuesday afternoon, May 30, 2017 -after my doctor very aggravated and succinctly, informed them that he meant for me to get my prescription immediately, within hours of him having called it in, JUST LIKE IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN, and told them to fill my prescription and give it to me- to first make excuses and to justify his co-worker's erroneous actions, and then to inform me that I would STILL have to wait until Thursday, June 1, 2017 -despite my doctor telling them to give it to me immediately-because they were completely out of stock on their supply of Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 10/325 tablets because of the much heavier traffic due to the extended 3 Day Holiday Weekend, they hadn't had enough inventory, and would not be receiving ANY more until June 1, 2017. I am so not kidding; I wish I was. I had been in hurting pretty badly since Saturday morning, and saw the dawn of Tuesday morning with great relief and
was anticipating, and extremely grateful that I would finally have my meds and be getting a break from the unrelenting, debilitating pain.
So when this man, this Pharmacy Supervisor/Manager said this to me, I really thought I hadn't heard him correctly. Then when he assured me that I had heard him correctly and despite my doctor telling them to fill it immediately, they could not until June 1, 2017, late in the afternoon. When I lost my composure and quite loudly and angrily told him he had better get them from another Walgreen's Pharmacy, because as far as I was concerned -and is Standard Operating Procedure and COMPANY POLICY- all NEW Rx's were to be filled right away. And this WAS a New Prescription. Because you cannot get Vicodan refilled. It must be a new script every 30 days at least; it's been that way for about 2 years now with the tightened regulation and distribution by the FDA. And he said their was nothing he could do, I wasn't going to be getting any pills no matter what until Thursday June 1, 2017. Then he said: just like you were told. JUST LIKE I WAS TOLD.
You mean like I was erroneously and negligently told by your fellow Pharmacist? When he was acting as if he had the right -and the responsibility- to CHANGE my doctors orders? That was exactly what he meant. And that was what happened. I was forced to suffer through another 2 days of increasingly worsening pain due to not ever being able to get comfortable and get any good sleep, and because I wasn't able to even do everyday, simple, necessary things due to that pain. The Vicodan bring a decent amount of relief -the only relief I get from my condition now- and without them, I am effectively an invalid. So I was given my prescription(or rather, my Fiance went and got it for me) on Thursday at 5:28 PM. And the very first thing I did was to check the paper receipt and drug information paper, and the bottle itself of my Rx, for the date it was filled. And that date was Friday, May 26, 2017, with the notation that it should be available for pick-up by the customer by 5:45 PM. And just to make absolutely sure that there was no way they could get out of this, I checked when it hE been run through and approved by my insurance company. And that date was Friday, May 26, 2017. So if that was not just malicious and cruel, but a blatant abuse of power and violation of the public trust, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS.

Bravo! I see someone is catching on to the erosion of the MD's authority. They do this junk a lot. Always call your doctor if they don't cough up your script. That's a doctor's order, and that's the law! Always has been...still is.

Walgreens walk in clinic apopka fl

Came in on a Sunday 10:20, two people ahead and went to sign in at the computer station directed to. After giving all of my information to the computer; First appointment was showing for 1:45. I said what, and the girl behind the counter said there is something wrong with that machine and to just select it and I would be in line. I selected it and then the machine said it could not process the request and to go to the counter. The same woman then said she could not help me as they were not Walgreens. I said the computer and all of the signs say Walgreens but you say it's not. She said sorry we can't help you and to try going on line to make the reservations. If the computer is not working and they know it's not working then why is there not a sign on it? If they are not really Walgreens then why do all of the signs for the clinic say Walgreens ? Why was there zero assistance from the host store for the independent company ?

Walgreens passport photos

On Thursday evening I called the store to ask if they did passport photos. The associate said yes and confirmed that they could do photos anytime the store was open. We then came to the store and got there at 9:33. The associate from the phone greeted us but told us that they in fact couldn't do the photos because it was after 9:30. Rosie the store manager said she was already doing closing procedures and refused to assist us. It took her 15 minutes to come tell her this and then she wouldn't have the other manager Johana even talk to us because she said it was after 930. The customer service and attitude we received from Rosie and disrespect from Johana are unacceptable and they should've honored the fact that their associate told us on the phone pictures could be taken at any time. I am writing this compliant for the following location:

Walgreens pharmacist

Complaint on Walgreens store 10199 located at 1100 East Main Street, Russellville, Arkansas 72801. Pharmacist (Carl K) refused to fill prescription even though they had doctors prescription with doctors signature and seal, and had filled the same prescription for the last two years from the same doctor, same clinic, same medicine. Took prescription to Walgreens on other side of town and they filled it with no problem. Customer service at store on East Main is horrible! I've used the same store for years and had the same prescription s filled. It was the pharmacist poor customer service that has me changing pharmacy. There is no excuse for someone abusing their power to supply a needed medication to another. Pharmacist should be held to the hiparatic oath the same as doctors. This pharmacist clearly needs to be recramanded.

Walgreens pharmacy

Everytime I take my pain medication refill in to be filled, the pharmacist gives me a hard time about something. Constantly coming up with "new rules" for me just to get it filled. I have chronic pain and I am tired of being treated like some drug addict. Living with chronic pain is hard enough; a person shouldn't have to deal with this kind of stuff. It's so unnecessary! The pharmacist talks down to me and makes me feel like Im doing something wrong. I will now be switching to a different pharmacy. I would rather drive 5 miles to a different pharmacy than drive 3 blocks to Walgreens. When I complained to my Dr. about Walgreens, he told me to go somewhere else as they are known to be a horrible pharmacy. Maybe soon Walgreens will get another multi-million dollar fine for being so horrible.

Walgreens pharmacy

I came to pick up a subscription on Sunday the 21st of may only to see the pharmacy closed for lunch. They all went to lunch at the same time! I am under Tricare and I have to drive 15 to 20 minutes to get to a Walgreens. I used to be CVS where there are more locations. Your cashier told me they are under staffed and started to laugh. I had to tell him that this was not funny then I get attitude. Are these the people that are the face of you business? I will be finding another store. Totally unsatisfactory.

Who the hell do you think you are? I hope you do not work for Walgreens. Staffing one person is not the fault of the customer. CVS and target doest shut down. If there needs to be a dedicated lunch hour then post the time on the website. The times on the website before I drove to the store said 10-6. My main complaint was the attitude of the staff. If you do not have anything nice to say then stay off this page [censor]. I'm not here to be talked down to by you. If this a manager I want a face to face meeting with you.

Walgreens refusal to accept co-pay authorization

I am a female African-American teacher in NC and I take Eliquis after having had more than one heart attack. I have frequent problems getting my prescription filled at Walgreens Pharmacy located at 2624 Sunset Avenue in Rocky Mount NC. I use a prescription co-pay offered by Eliquis and since I get a number of prescriptions at one time I don't always check on the price of each one but on a number of occasions I noticed the price of my Eliquis was more than it should have been. When I asked the pharmacist a couple of months ago he acknowledged that my co-pay was not being used and after calling for confirmation instated co-pay in my records. I had a number of prescriptions refilled on May 1, 2017, which should have included Eliquis but did not. After leaving the store I found that medicine missing, no one informed me when I picked up my medicine that a very important one was not refilled. I returned to the store and inquired about the missing medicine and was told the pharmacy would have to contact my physician (this happens frequently and had just happened the month before though my doctor says she sends in refills). I cut my daily dosage in half for the few pills I had and took them every other day until I could get it refilled. On Tuesday May 16, 2017 I went in to pick up my medicine and was charged a price more than my co-pay and did not have that amount with me. When I asked why I could not get the co-pay price the manager was called. I explained I was out of my medicine after waiting so long for a refill and did not understand why I could not use my co-pay card, that this had happened before and been straightened out. She said that my insurance was state insurance which made me ineligible. I explained to her that I am a teacher, a state employee, and Blue Cross Blue Shield is a private plan that just happens to be the choice that NC state uses, not a state health program. She insisted that I was not eligible because I am on a state health plan and would not call the number on the co-pay card for verification. Her actions and refusal to even check left me to conclude that her assumption is that I am an elderly unemployed black woman trying to take advantage of a benefit plan for the employed. I called the number on the co-pay card myself but it was after closing so I had to wait until the next day. As it had been a few days since I had my medicine I was ill all day at work the next, as I said I am a classroom teacher, and my students noticed I was not well and expressed concern all day. When I got home I called the co-pay number and someone called the pharmacy, explained to them that I was eligible then told me I could pick up my medicine. On May 19, 2017, after being out of my medication for a while I was again not well at work causing my administrator to get a ride to send me home immediately after the students left without being able to complete my work and prepare for the following week. When I was able to get someone to take me to get my medicine on today, May 21, 2017 I went to the pharmacy and when given my name the attendant asked me to wait and she went to get the same manager who denied my co-pay, giving the implication that she wanted to be notified if I came back. She said that she had already informed me that my co-pay was not good and I told her that the company had taken care of that, she said there is no change and I was still ineligible. I told her to check because a call had been made to get it straight. She first asked a call from who, I told her from Eliquis customer service. She finally pulled up the information and after reading aloud to me she realized I had been right and she mistaken, then approved the co-pay without an apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience or potential danger to my health.

I don't know what exactly you would deem fair compensation for putting someone's life potentially at risk for the sake of possibly proving a point, because Bristol-Myers Squibb offers me the Eliquis at the price I receive it so Walgreens is not losing anything. I'll wait for you to contact me and see how you feel about the actions of the pharmacy manager, I am still chagrined.

Walgreens walgreens #21

On Thursday, May 18th, 2017 at 10 pm, I stopped by Store #21 at 4345 W McDowell Rd. in Phoenix Arizona to pick up some items. I had my three daughters with me and one of them suddenly needed the rest room. I asked the cashier where it was and she called for the manager to assist us. The manager, Isabella said she could not let us use the rest room because of an incident and was told not to open it after a certain time. My daughter was panicking (she's on the autism spectrum) and I told Isabella, whatever the incident was, probably involved adults and not a little girl who had an emergency. The cashier started to laugh ( I don't know why) and I overheard another customer say "that's messed up." I have visited scores of Walgreens with public bathrooms and my family visits a Walgreens at least four times in a week. This is unacceptable, this location needs to post a sign "No Public Restrooms". I am posting a complaint also with the BBB AND the EEOC as discriminatory. Isabella's behavior was rude, unsympathetic and the cashier who laughed ...well, no one thought it was funny. I had to hurry out and find a facility for my daughter.
Sincerely,

Walgreens being discriminated

On 5/4/17, I walked into your store @ approx. 11:45pm located on 7299 Laguna Blvd, Elk Grove Ca 95758 #5499

I stood in line for about an hour and when it was my turn I immediately stated that I would like to have a prescription filled. I was asked by the store manager that was on duty that night and was helping out with the pharmacists due to the long line if I had been there before or if I had any updates, I stated that I have an update and issued my new insurance card to him and he immediately said to me that your store does not except my insurance and mentioned to me that my Medi-Cal would need to be updated with my social worker! I said to him Excuse me but I'm not on medi-cal, I work for a living and how dare you assume that I have a social worker. I've never been so humiliated.

On May 10, 2017 I returned to your store on Laguna Blvd approx. 4:15pm to have my prescription filled again but this time it took (2) days and I was informed on May 12, 2017 that I have to pay full price out of pocket after my insurance info was taken and updated; so on May 15, 2017 I had to call my insurance through my employer who had to call your pharmacy and have my information updated correctly! This has cause me emotional stress to know that it took two weeks to get my prescription filled.

Walgreens medications are not being filled a directed by the physician:

I was started on Donepezil 5mg. QD (Rx. [protected]) 4/10/17. The neurologist was going to increase the Donepezil to 10 mg. QD after a month. When I put the last 7 pills in my weekly dispenser I phoned the doctor's office and was instructed that she had already written the order. Last week there were two phone messages left from Walgreens, something to the effect that there was a problem. Today I phoned Walgreens, 1800 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Fl., after conversing with the automated system I was transferred to the pharmacy. I spoke with a tech. I told her that I had phoned the neurologist office and the prescription was already at the pharmacy. She instructed me there was a technical problem and to call back. I said absolutely not, I don't have time to make any more phone calls.
I have been in this healthcare arena for over 69 years and can see the patients need a spokesperson. What happened to our five (5) rights? Guess I will send President Trump a copy, too. This is an ongoing problem with this pharmacy.

Walgreens pharmacy manager

Every time I go to Walgreens on 3030 Main St in Frisco Tx, 75034,
The Pharmacy Manager, Duane Barrett, is a major ###. I see him rude to customers, rude to his own staff. I witnessed a woman in tears after he refused to help her out with her insurance problem. He is the rudest man I've ever seen in customer service and when I asked to speak to his manager he gave me a smirk and said, "I am the manager". Something needs to be done about him. I say they fire him.

I drop my prescription off at the walgreens drive thru in Antioch, CA on Deer Valley Road 3 days ago, and I go to pickup my prescriptions and they are not ready. What's worse is one of the prescriptions I have a RX Discount card for it and the pharmacy clerk states that she is having trouble entering the information and requested that I get out of my car and come inside. This is ridiculous and I have had enough. I am not going to use Walgreens anymore. They never have enough people working and the wait times are ridiculous. I have to go out of town on State Business and I will be without my pain medication. I never understood how CVS became so popular, but now I do.

Walgreens pharmacy department - prescriptions refills

I have been using Walgreens Pharmacy at 1932 Wilshire Blvd, since October 2016, when I was discharged from the UCLA Santa Monica Hospital. All my prescriptions are being sent to this specific Pharmacy, which is closest to my home. All of my prescriptions come with refills (3 or 4) yet every time I come to pick up a refill I am being told that my doctor needs to submit a TAR justification, which he did for initial prescription, yet that doesn't matter to Pharmacy Clerks or Pharmacists, they simply don't know how to fill on-line forms when submitting to Medi-Cal.

Walgreens pharmacy service

One time they lost my rx for cough syrup, made me stand in line 30 minutes while they looked for it, I finally told them to just make me a new one, they did.
Second time, the young latina girl told me a date to pick up my meds. When I got there, she said that they won't be ready for another week, I told her that she told me to pick them up that day and she said no she didn't and I told her why else would I be here today to pick them up, I had to make another trip to get them.
Third time, I went to pick up my rx for 45 norcos, on 4/19/17, when I get there, they gave me thirty and I told them that my dosage had changed and they said no it didn't, I had to have my doctor call them and tell them that they were wrong. I am waiting for the rest of my rx right now!

Walgreens store employees

I have been going to the same Walgreens pharmacy for at least 5 years now. I really enjoy the helpful attitude of the employees, the way they greet me by name, the cleanliness of the store, ect. But recently this location hired a new woman named "Rose". She is the most horrible, fowl mouthed, lazy, and just plain rude employee of any public business I have ever been to or heard of. She literally stays on her Bluetooth earpiece that's connected to her phone, and goes on and on with severe profanity about personal issues that should not be spoken of in public, especially not while young children are about in the store. When she bags my purchases she doesn't place the groceries in the bag with care she instead slows them as if it was trash as she was bothered with. Everytime I'm in the store and ask a simple question regarding a price or something they may be having a sale on, she either completely ignores me or gets a very bad attitude and tells me "I don't know. They got papers at the front that got that information don't they?" I now actually dread going into the store so much, that I've started going to the CVS on the next street over. I'm very upset by this because I feel as if "Rose" has taken away a small piece of happiness, and familiarity I got from being able to go to MY neighborhood Walgreens.
