Walgreens fired

My name is Jon; I joined the Walgreens management team in January 2008 and was recently discharged. During the two years that I worked for the company I’ve noticed that in many cases that justice is handed out totally at the discretion for the Manager there at the moment, is this Walgreens policy?

It is strange to me that nothing in my history with Walgreens was taken into account prior to making the decision to dismiss me. The fact that I had nothing but GOOD customer feedbacks and my last evaluation I was rated as exceeding standards seemed to mean nothing, is that policy of Walgreens?

I’m a retired vet and in the military issues are black and white for the most part. If someone isn’t performing their duties you talk with the person and have them correct it, you don’t discharge them with on warning and you always look at the person history to see if this is out of character for them since there may be another problem behind the situation.

I my case I admitted to loosing my temper with and employee and yelling at her. The situation started when a customer approached me complaining that she had been sitting in the drive-thru for 20 to 30 minutes and the pharmacist was ignoring her. The customer walked to the pharmacy to talk to the pharmacist face to face and 30 to 60 seconds later the pharmacist called for me to come to the pharmacy. I called her and said I know what it was about and to handle it, she hadn’t even tried if it had been less than a minute. Then she called the clerk at the front register and had them call me, at that time I when to the pharmacy and that was what I lost my temper, she didn’t even attempt to handle the situation. When I arrived the customer in question was standing back at the wait here line several feet from the register, waiting.

I, and other MGT’s, had complained to the Store Manager on many occasions about this one pharmacist, that she has problems working alone and if a customer becomes upset, whether rightly or wrongly she tends to make the situation worse. Even her communication skills with us the MGT’s is questionable, so I can understand how the customers may become upset. Just the night prior to this situation I had problems with her communicating with me, I was assisting a customer in the drive-thru, I had to ask three times what the wait time was because the pharmacist, three times, talked about other customers in the store and that she was busy. I affirmed that she was busy but that wasn’t answering my question, the customer wanted to know what to come back.

In my situation I admitted to getting angry and loosing my temper. This was the first and only time I did, and that seemed to be forgotten in this. I’m known for keeping my cool in very, very stressful situations, in fact my store, at the time #925 in Tucson AZ, I was robbed at gun point. I had two mask gunmen come in point a gun in my face and made me empty the safe. Even in that situation I had the frame of mind to lead them to the office in a way that they wouldn’t see my co-worker, another MGT, so he could get away and call 911. We then moved to a new store “10879 and may of the problems we faced in the old one where gone. So please believe me when I say that when I lost my temper that night it was months of handling customer complains on this one pharmacist and reporting problems and nothing happening to correct it.

I was told I created a hostile work environment; the definition that I read this doesn’t fit. There must be more than one instance to create an “environment”. Also trying to correct a performance problem is no where in the description. I have started to consider that there may be other reasons why the manager decided to dismiss me instead of other actions, it could have been a personal thing or may because I was openly gay and he had a problem with that. I would have considered moving if he had personal reasons for keeping the pharmacist. This would have been bothersome for me since my store was a 5 minute walk and I love my area, but I would have moved if need be.

I loved my new career at Walgreens, I’m the kind of person that says and always tries to make improvements. I retired after 20 years in the US Air Force and I thought I found a career that suited me and that I could feel proud of. I feel that not having any appeal process is wrong and hope this can and would be corrected.

Walgreens, Fox Point, WI 53217

I live across the street from this Walgreens and shop there several days a week. Yesterday I ran out of change for the washer and needed to grab a few things as well. When I got up to the counter to checkout, I asked if it would be possible to get some quarters. Tori said, "Umm we are not a bank, so no, we don't do that" in a very rude tone. I immediately asked to speak with a manager, and she rolled her eyes at me without responding and paged a manager and she was clearly unhappy about doing that. When the manager was coming around the counter from Photo, she yells across the store "HE WANTS QUARTERS". I wanted to speak with Manager after what she said. If that was true and Walgreens won't give change, then I would not ask for it in the future. This was apparently not a store policy but rather a Tori policy. I was extremely offended by her lying to me, and then screaming across the store for everyone to hear that I wanted quarters was a little embarrassing. While waiting for the manager to return, she told me "ya know, sometimes we run out and we just...we can't just be doing this". When the manager brought the quarters over I thanked him, and nicely remarked "No problem". He stood there as Tori completed the transaction and as Tori was opening her drawer, she said "I HATE OPENING MY DRAWER". The manager said "quiet" to her, and she responded with "WHAT, WE GET IN TROUBLE FOR THIS" as she threw the $20 bill inside the drawer. Again, if this violates Walgreens policy by making change for customers, I simply won't ask and that is ok. I just don't appreciate being treated like a nuisance and talked down on by a cashier who should just ring me out.
I have never had any complaints about any other employee in that Walgreens, and I've been coming there for years. I really like going there and that is why I want to bring this to your attention so something can be done.

Well, I was recently fired for being late ? after being at walgreens working in the pharmacy for almost 3 years, they said, My performance was great and I had customers always comment my work and how fast I managed to get there refills from the doctor and their rx out to them. I feel I should get an appeal as well, because i nkow i was late 5 minutes a lot of times but when i knew i was going to be late one day and called my manager said, oh, well calling now dont matter ? I was furious, meanwhile other member never called and came in 45 minutes late called out all the time, I never even used my sick days and called out 2 times out of the 3 years, what a joke, and having 3 kids to support I was in shock . but i am in th mist of calling them to complain it was not right after being certified and always promised SR .tech it never even happen, looks like if you do not kiss the right butts, and you seem like more of a leader they just get rid of you .

walgreens doesn't care about it's employees, thing is, you make the wrong person mad you're gone, i still work at walgreens but was hired in as an MGT in 2006 and demoted in early 2009 because of my "performance" never once received a does not meet expectations. always meets or exceeds, showed up to work every day, never called in sick, never went home sick, worked hard, employees respected me...that was the problem, they respected me and not the store manager, Dennis Skaanning is a [censored] bag, I requested a transfer because he singled me out and made my life hell, there fore it was my fault and Tim Kjol, our "Community Leader" and Terry Harper decided I was a problem manager, wrote me up and transfered me under the "probationary period" type of thing. worked hard at the new store, same thing there, employees worked hard for me, i worked hard, but I didn't put up one sign one day, and boom, next week demoted to a photo specialist. that was about a year and a few months ago. since then i've had one performance review and who'd of thunk it, exceeds expectations all over the thing, the new store manager i work for, cassandra dierks is pretty awesome, willing to teach and mentor and help people get to where they want to be, so fear not, not all managers are bad, but in my experience, a big chunk are, our new dm, rick dinkle he's kind of an idiot as well, but ya know something? it doesn't matter much, corporate folks are driving walgreens into the ground, stocks are dropping, hours are being cut, it's sort of a tail spin and we're about to crash, those of us that stick with it, we might get to move back up in the company, those that don't well there's other jobs out there.

Walgreens very rude pharmiscts

The 2 females that work at this Walgrees Drugstore should not be working there. Their nasty atttitude, & not checking what they give out can cause a huge problems in the near future. I was overdosing for 4 months until my Dr noticed that I was given the meds that are both the same. Mia the manager told the Store
Manager I was beligerent, I could I be when I was in a uniform, Barb was nasty to me, when I question about my insurance she threw the bottle, I told me she had no time to call the insurance company, in the Drive thru
it was worst.

I have to say that it was always horrible to drive there. How can Walgreen have people like these 2 working for their company. Walgreen's motta is having respect for the customer, what a line of croc at this drugstore.
The Store Manger is polite & a good listener, but he has his hands tied, they don't listen they think they are better than him, I think, because they get the big bucks.
Well, that place has lost me as a customer.

Walgreen's is a pretty picture on T.V but if the people really new how the CEO treat there employee's they would steer clear of all Walgreen's. Walgreen's is over charging there customers. I use to work at a Walgreen's and they fired me for No reason. Walgreen's is a terrible drug store and I would never go there to get my medication. Walgreen's underpays and over works there employees. They will crash and burn if they keep it up.

Walgreens treatment

i was treated badly as a customer @ a jackson walgreens, monday march 8, 2010. i could hear the conversation between the tech and the insurance company. she said she could not read the writing. this is the only store that fills my perscription, the only doctor that i use & i seem to get one tech all the time. which seems to be very rude. i was over charged and was told that my insurance would not pay for the perscription and i could pay for it myself. which i did because i called my company and i paid the full price for this medicine. i could hear her telling the nurse when she called to verfy what she thought it was and of course the nurse agreed and thus that was the way it was filled, despit my objections. it was not only different from what i usually get, it was twice the price. i am medical personnel i understood every word that was said. it seems as though i was treated this way because they thought i didn't know any better. is this the way you treat people all the time. i am looking for a new phamacy. i will not accept this treatment. and to add insult to injury i did not get a full month's supply.

My name is Patricia Terry - 68 CR 48823, Dayton, Tx.77535. My phone number is 936/257-8786. I want to enter the

The store I went to is located in Dayton, Texas, 209 West Hwy 90. The stores phone number: 936/258-7395. The service I
received was fantastic. The clerk couldn't have been nicer, her name was Gayla. In fact I 've been in this Walgreens quite a

Walgreens no brains in that pharmacy dept.

After a long bout of oral surgery I went to fill pick up my prescriptions which had been called in by my doctor's office. The doctor requested I hand them the prescriptions to confirm the correct items were filled. The prescriptions had my name, address, and DOB written on them.

Wallgreens:
-----------------
- First asks me my name (after looking at the prescriptions!)
- Gets confused and takes a long time back and forth, presumably because I handed the written prescriptions over, even though they had been called in.
- Finally, insists on me telling them my address. I said it is on the prescription, and this started more discussions and delay. They came back to me and said they had to have me provide verbal confirmation of my address before they could give me the Rx. Now, I had minutes ago handed them this information, written down on the Rx, and they had been attending to me during the entire intervening few minutes. So I rather painfully vocalized my address, to get my prescriptions, but not after first saying "hurts" and pointing at my mouth, after which the lady again said she couldn't release my prescription without verbal confirmation of my address (which as I said was written down on the Rx I just gave to her).

I was in enough pain that I dared a little more so I could get the means to make the pain less. But It sure left me unhappy, and incredulous that such lunacy and pure brainlessness actually exists.

Wow, what a shame @skywlf77, It is required when anyone pickes up we verify the the correct name, and address and if not the same to update it, and being if you were picking up pain meds it is very crutial do to the high volume of " FAKE RX activity that goes on, but in your case I would have asked for your ID, or handed you a pen and paper, becasue if we sell the wrong RX to you I the tech can get fired and u the pt may take the wrong medication and become very sick ... but I am so surprised it taken them that long to help you in your situation what a shame .

Actually, they do NOT need verbal confirmation - only confirmation via any legal state- or federally-issued ID. This means that, after having been notified of your painful condition, the Walgreens Representative should have requested your Driver's License, State ID or another form of identification of this type. State or Federal ID is actually the preferred method of confirmation since it is easy to verbally lie, but not nearly as easy to fake such ID. As soon as you are able, you should make another trip to that Walgreens and demand to speak to the Store Manager and inform him/her of the employee's actions and insist on an apology (if you know who the employee was and if he/she is still working there). If they hesitate, make sure you let them know that you know the information now about necessary and proper ID...Don't allow yourself to be treated this way as it is highly unprofessional and inexcusable.

On a side note, I've been through painful oral dentistry and I hope you get to feeling better very soon!

Walgreens pharmacy awful service

I am writing to you because I've never experience such a bad service before!
Today was an awful service. I came to the Walgreen's' pharmacy to order medicine, stuff took the order around 2:30pm and said that it will be ready around 3:30, I came at 3:30 and lady (another one) said that "you order scheduled at 4:00pm (oh, reaaaly?!), then she took my insurance card, check it and said"It is not valid, go and call your insurance" (interesting, every time I use it in different W's it was valid) . So, I already twice waited in the line, around 9-10 people line. I went to my office, call insurance and they said that EVERYTHING IS VALID! I went back at 4:15, STAY IN THE LINE AGAIN and they said "IT IS NOT READY, sit we will call your name", I said "I will be back" and came around 5:15, again waited in the line and they said "IT IS NOT READY", so it was awful and seems that workers are not in the process of doing their work! I said that I do not have anymore time to wait, I have to take child from the daycare and take my pill TODAY. One person was not polite, during that time another customer was very upset and loudly saying that his medicine is delayed for two and a half HOUR! After my arguing with worker they said that it will be ready in 15 min and I said that I don't have 15 min, they said "OK, 5 min" BUT IS WAS NOT ready in 5 min! VERY BAD SERVICE, STUFF DIDN'T HAVE BADGES, not pleasant to talk with, long lines...everything was so bad.
I NEVER and EVER WILL ORDER in THIS STORE - customer service AWFUL, especially one worker w/o badge! I will file/write complaint everywhere where I can possibly find to place that complaint.

On Oct 8, 2010 I took my Rx to Walgreens - 7813 Highway 72, Madison, AL. After waiting 20 minutes for the Rx to be filled, my name was called. I went to the counter - Candice told me that the Rx was written for the Rx and 4 - 30 day refills and that my drug plan called for 90 day Rx, it would be Monday before the Dr. could be contacted to rewrite the new Rx. At that time (and after my dealings w/Walgreens in the past), Candice said that either Walgreens or I could contact the Dr. to call Walgreens to "redo" the Rx. I opted to call my Dr. on Monday @ 8am on Monday. This way I would know that it WAS DONE.
I failed to mention that this Rx is for Cymbalta. This is a medication that I NEED EVERYDAY! I am labeled as a "SEVERE CHRONIC DEPRESSIVE". So, when I asked Candice for 4 pills to get me through to when everything gets straightened out, she told me that she could not do this... My heart sank. On Monday Walgreens would have every bit of this Rx, which came out to be $80.00. I was only asking to have 4 out of the 90 pills that I would soon be getting.
Because of my Insurance/Drug Program, I am stuck with Walgreens and their uncompationate employees - not pharmacists, just wannabees! These people behind the counter don't know what they can/can't do. I should have gone farther and spoken to the real pharmacist who should have given me the 4 pills to make it through the weekend. Instead I didn't and I sunk into a deep, deep depression and didn't have the strength to get up and go to get the Rx until Oct 14. I had just stayed in bed the entire time during those 6 days. Depression isn't anything to mess with. I hope that Mr. Rogers at Walgreens - 7813 Highway 72 in Madison, AL will see this complaint and will retrain their pharmacy counter help with more compassion, thoughtfulness, and helpfulness.
Mr. Rogers - From your Walgreens customer that is very unhappy with your pharmacy service, compassion, etc.
I will be looking on line for Canadian Pharmacys that can beat your price w/o having to use my drug ins. so that I wont have to deal with your store and what I have had to deal with this past week.

Walgreens unethical service

I went to the pharmacist at walgreens on sunday march 7, 2010 to fill my prescription for vyvance and deprocoat, which I take on a regular basis. I told the pharmacist that I still had some deprocoat so at that time I only wanted to fill the vyvance. She told me she could not fill only that. I explained to her that I always get one at a time filled because of the cost and she said she could not. By this time it was after 6;00p and all the other pharmacies were closed and I was completely out of my vyvance. She started scribbling on my script and handed it back to me. I was really angry because I could not fill my script until the following day. On monday, march 8, 2010 my psychiatrist called and said the pharmacist had called his office and stated that I had been there and was very angry. What right does she have to call my doctor when she didn't even fill the script and not tell him the exact truth! She didn't tell him that she wouldn't fill it or that she referred to my med as a controlled substance several times like I didn't know that. I am 18 years old and have a depression problem and see a therapist on a regular basis. I intend to call the board and hopefully had her totally barred from any drug store chain. She is there to fill prescriptions not be judge and jury!

I would be upset to if some stranger decided to step in and call my doctor. And as far as assuming that the person was not supposed to be out of the meds already, you don't even know that to be true. And to the manager the other poster is right, I have seen pharmacies refuse to fill people's prescriptions especially for pain meds because they were getting them so often. And good for them on that point, people do go from doctor to doctor getting these things, they should be refused.

I DO work as a pharmacy technician for Walgreens and I will tell you the most likely reason why the prescription was not filled; if the pharmacist had filled that prescription she would have been in a HEAP of trouble.

Vyvanse is a schedule II drug and there are all kinds of laws and regulations when it comes to filling these kinds of drugs one of them being that the prescription CANNOT BE FILLED UNTIL THE DATE ON THE RX, it doesnt matter if it is only 1 day early, if that pharmacist would have filled that rx early she could have lost her job.

My advice is that if this is a recurring problem, (running out and not being able to have it filled) then talk to your doctor and ask them to adjust the dates, or EVEN double count your pills when you get them to make sure that the pharmacy didn't slip up and count them wrong. It is the pharmacy's job to make sure the right amount is in the bottle but honestly once in a while a rx does slip through the cracks.

Jon48, as management, I can ENSURE you don't know much about the pharmacy. There are laws about controlled substances, etc., and Walgreens own policies that management never know or care about. You step back there 5 minutes a month and think you know everything. That's what a wonderful company Walgreens is. ha. "If you have a script from you doctor then it gets filled. The only time it may be a problem is if there's an interaction issue" - You're an idiot. It doesn't work that way. Haven't you heard of doctor shopping, etc?!

As for the original poster, I don't know what the pharmacist's problem was, but there may be more to the story. But it sounds like you should have been able to get it filled.

I agree as a former member of the Walgreens Manangement team I have had to step in on many situations just like this. The RX personnel are there to provide a service not to judge or make a judgement on what med's to fill. If you have a script from you doctor then it gets filled. The only time it may be a problem is if there's an interaction issue

Walgreens coupon refusal

Walgreen's on 801 s. E.17th, ocala, fl where I shop refused to accept my b1g1 manufacture coupon for the purex liquid detergent that walgreen's had on a b1g1 sale. I know others who have received their purex liquid free except for tax, but I ended up paying for the purex. They refused to take the coupon and it has now expired and I am very upset with the policies whereby some get service and others are refused. Could you please look into this and explain how some stores accept the b1g1 coupon and others refuse to honor these cpns? Thank you for your help in this matter. Mrs. Peggy russ [protected]

Walgreens prescription pricing policy

Walgreens has a generic drug program that gives customers a discount on certain medications. However, if a customer has Medicare D they cannot participate in this program. This is because Walgreens has misinterpreted the laws regarding Medicare D. Because of this Walgreens is breaking the law. This is discrimination! Other drugstores with similar programs do not discriminate against Medicare D members. One such company is Walmart. A classaction lawsuit is called for to stop such policies by ignorant companies like Walgreens.

Walgreens smoking in store

You have a new store at 151st street and Memorial, in Bixby, OK
Since you opened, I have smelled smoke in your store.
Your employees smoke, your manager smokes. There is a side door,
that is located by the refrigeration section. There is a security lock on
the door that you have to key a # to get inside.
All of the male employees are young, however the oldest of the
employees is about 50, my age, and is a larger man, 240#. He came
out of the room today when I was smelling the cigarette smoke.
Mrs. King...[protected]
I have a friend that works at another Walgreen's. I asked her about
rules on smoking. She said that there was not supposed to be any smoking
on the entire property of Walgreen's and that I should let you know.

I have seen other employees smoking at the NE corner of the building,
I have seen employees smoking at the merchandice receiving entrance.
This has gone on since your store opened. The one young girl who worked in
the cosmetics (I think she is gone now) was one of your smokers.

Survey #[protected]
Password #[protected] This receipt is when I was in the drivethrough. However,
I was in the store at around 12:00. and that is when the manager was
smoking.

I own a business and realize the importance of quality control. Best to Walgreens.

Charles Morgan must work for Walgreen's or possible a relative or friend just like he said of course he is going to be defensive and make a good comment. I have read many negative reviews for Walgreen's, I still shop there, but i never have heard anyone ever winning a survey . I think it is a scam in the last few years i have took many of there survey's and friends of mine as well never ever have i ever seen anyone win. And that there is other complaints but, its waist of my typing time they would never be addressed

Walgreens lack of help

I was in Walgreens to get a prescription filled from the emergency room at 11.30pm and there was only 1 pharmacist on duty. There were 5 people in line, multiple cars at the drive-up window and the phone was ringing off the hook, this poor man was so frazzled and frustrated, he clearly could use some help, this is how mistakes are made and in apharmacy this could be critical. I think you clearly need at least 2 people of a night. I'm a Nurse and I clearly felt for the man as I've been in that position myself, surely a corporation as big as this could afford 2 people at night. The Pharmacist was very nice and all of us felt sorry for him. The comments about Walgreens I heard while standing in line were not very nice. I watched 4 other people that came to the pharmacy walk away kind of angry. Surely this could be improved!

Seriously, there is only 1 person on duty at that time because it's for the emergency stuff. If you are picking/dropping off everyday meds, don't complain. You are the cause of the backup. Also, the people that ask the dumb questions, seriously, a pharmacist knows alot about drugs, but they aren't a doctor. If you need doctor's advice, go see a doctor.

i went into walgreens located in smyrna, ga. store#5901 being honest upon entering the store i asked a cashier named bj if i needed to leave my leather back pack valued at 300 dollors. my wife bought the lether bag for me on sale for 250 dollors. i had just got off work and i went into the store to pick up a few odd and ends that my wife had meationed to me. my expensive headphones and mp3 player and my bluetooth, mp3 charger.were in my leather bag that was given away to a couple of thieves by another cashier named pedro who is employed were this incident took place. so if you are out shoping and want to visit a wallgreens dont take other bags or stuff you payed for into store cause they will make you leave them up front. and give your bags away while you are shoping. this incident took place 02-15-10.

Walgreens the receipt is a gimmick

On the walgreens receipt it says enter our monthly cash sweepstakes this month the prize is $3, 000.00 to enter please go to www.walgreensfeedback.com or call [protected]. Within 72 hours to complete a shorht survey about your visit to this walgreens. Even gives you a survey# mine was (#[protected]-xxx) I will keep the last 3 numbers private and also a password was given a 12 digit number. Its says for contest rules see store or visit WWW.WALGREENSFEEDBACK.COM that is the exact words. Go to that site there is no way to enter a sweepstakes. There is this complaint site which I am complaning on. There are lots of sites there all are advertising something are promising the world. Most the sites if you visit will put an advertising spy on your pc, and you get nothing. I think that walgreens with as much business I give them does not need to stoop like this. There is no way to enter a sweepstakes by the way. This is a low blow walgreens. My receipt # is rfn# [protected]-1220 nancy was my cashier

I have never had this issue. I've completed the survey every time i've visited a walgreens and i've never had an issue. The site is there. I'm not sure what you're doing wrong. Its www.walgreensfeedback.com. After you complete the survey, you are entered to win the $3000. It's not a seperate sweepstakes if that's what you're saying. In no way is the receipt misleading. I think you were just misinformed.

I would like to take this time to commend the Pharmist's for the great job they do for me. They have really gone out of their way to help me. They always treat me with the utmost curticy and respect. I have had my Doctor perscribe medicine that was not compatable and they would not fill it. They told me it could have made me deathly sick or even killed me if I had taken it to another Pharmacy to have it filled. My Doctor should have caught this, not my drugist. Margaret O'Keeffe

Walgreens walgreen's complainers

Hi, "www.walgreens.com" ; - idiots!

Since the mid-90's; never type:

Www.

Preceding the web address you intend to reach. you cause your computer to go "chasing it's self"!

Type: walgreensfeedback.com

You're in!

The "_.com" means a commercial website
"_.org" means an organization that is tax exempt.
"_.gov means the united states of america's government (how's my spelling?).

Have someone/some school/ individual/"it"person at work (if you are in s. w. mo.)- (that's short for southwest missouri).

Q: do you have children/grand-kids/friens/enemies, neighbors?

Better yet!

Get rid of that"thing"!

I just registered @"www.walgreens.com"- I may win $3000. oo!

Walgreens impossible to use visa for online shopping

I shop at several Walgreens averaging at least once a week. I purchased a prepaid Visa to use online, but it the websites would not accept it because it had no expiration date. I attempted to return it to save the $4.95 fee (plus tax) but was told there was nothing they could do. I was referred to a local customer service number, but my call has not been returned.

This $5.00 is significant to me. I go to extreme lengths to save $5.00. Somebody in Walgreens should have the authority and desire to take action for customer satisfaction. A $5.00 gift card to Walgreen's would do nicely.

I work at Walgreens, and this happens all the time. People buy the cards and have some sort of problem every time. Mainly this problem is because the person is stupid; like most of our customers. You're not buying the card from Walgreens, you're buying it from Green Dot. We don't even make any money on the cards. I've even had some idiots come in with the card claiming that it didn't work, and that they even "scratched off the little black strip on the back, and there was no code underneath." How stupid could you possibly be? It's not our fault that you're a dead beat and can't get a free checking account like a normal person.

You're an idiot. Use the card for purchases a store somewhere. It says on their rack that they cannot refund cards. If you want a refund call the company that issues the card.

Walgreens - terrible customer service

I made my first trip to my local walgreens and was very disappointed. Not only did I not find what I was looking for, no one asked if I needed help. And there was no shortage of employees. After I had wandered around for a while, I walked by an aisle and saw at least four employees, standing around and just chatting. I stared at them for a second and went...

Walgreens medication available

I have been using Walgreens Pharmacy at 1860 Veterans Memorial Highway, Islandia NY for the past eight months. Over the last three or four months, when I bring in the prescriptions to be filled, the medication is not available. I find myself going to two different pharmacies to get the medication meeded. The medication I am referreing to is Mylan Fentanyl Transdermal System 50 mcg/hr, morphine sulfate cr 15 mg and 30mg. I have spoken to the people at the store, however, I am not seeing any results.

I switched from CVS to Walgreens because they assured me I would not have this problem, (I had the same problem at CVS) but apparently that was untrue - if possible please try to correct this situation.

Ive had a very similar incident with the local Walgreens. They continually do not have the Mylan brand...only Watson gel patches. I find the Watson do not work half as good as Mylan...the adhesive is worthless on Watson. I asked every month if they would/could please order the Mylan...each month I was told they would...and each month I was given the Watson. I reacted to the adhesive in the Watson...and found that it did not dissipate the medicine the way it should.
I eventually switched pharmacies and have had no trouble getting the Mylan brand since. There is NO reason Walgreens cant order the correct brand...especially with a heads up

Walgreens coupons issue

I went to Walgreens today .I had some manufacturecoupons and some store coupons .None of them were expired .When i gave them to the cashier one of them beeped .The cashier called the manager .The manager was an old lady who was too loud .She looked at my coupons showed some attitude & said ITS SEEMS SHE IS A COUPON QUEEN.

She didn't even know that we can use store coupon with the manufacture one on the same item.I had one huggies manufacture coupon and one huggies walgreen activity book coupon .She said i cannot use both because walgreens is itself a manufacturing company. This didn't make any sense to me.At the same time she said i am still trying to make it work .I said its ok, dont make it a big deal I will pay.But she kept trying to make me feel bad.I don't understand why the Walgreen managers and staff is not coupon friendly .How come she is a manager when she doesn't know the coupon policy.Secondly her attitude made me feel awefull.

I will never gonna go back to this store again. And request the Walgreens corporate to train their staff specially the managers and make the learn the rules and manners please.I don't think there is anything wrong about using coupons.

Walgreens refusal of service

The Pharmacist in charge today February 6, 2017 at 10:30 am central time, refused sale of "Plan B" contraceptic product with the excuse that it was against her religion. Now as far as i know she is not the walgreens owner therefore should not refuse service. I am very upset because she sent me away to another one close by, but what she did not know was the fact that the next pharmacy did not have any at that time. Now, her actions put not only me but my partner in difficult circumstances and i would like appropriate actions and investigations to take place for not only my sake but many others as well.

When I go to pick up my prescriptions, I have trouble trying to communicate to them that all my prescriptions are covered under workman's comp. They sometimes forget to get authorization thru the carrier and I have to go back later to pick up my prescriptions. When I drop my prescriptions off, I write on it and also tell the person at the window that it is a workman's comp. prescriptions. They get paid very well from my prescriptions. It is a hassle to have to go back and make another pickup. Gas is expensive and it waste my time. I have ask them several times to put it in their computer. If it happens one more time, I will take my business somewhere else.

Walgreens unfair employee

I watched Oprah. She said Walgreens would do free glucose testing. I called first to find out which Walgreens near me was doing it. I had to call three of them before finding one 20 miles away that said they were. I ask if I needed an appointment and the person on the phone said no, just walk in. So I left my home for the 20 mile trip and when I got there at 9:45AM, I was informed they only do it from 11AM until 2PM. Well, why didn't the person on the phone tell me this when I ask about an appointment? I could not wait until 11:00. I had to be home by 11:00 because of another commitment, so therefore, I just made a 40 mile round trip for nothing because of an unfair employee who could have told me the hours when I called. How rude!c

If you needed other questions answered, you needed to ask them.

They did nothing wrong, this was your fault.
