Waffle House manager/server

I have been coming to Waffle house on shorter avenue for as long as I can remember, my parents brought me in the 70's, and I've continued the tradition with my own children to this day. The food is absolutely excellent, the cook, Mr. Henderson, was very friendly and up-beat, and made me the most delicious omelette I've ever had, and my husband's steak was a spot-on medium rare with tons of flavor. It was very busy and hectic that night, but he stayed calm and made us feel welcome, even though he had a dozen plates to make. Mr. Henderson made our night at your store, I thought you should know. The only draw back was a manager/server, Rita, who was constantly cursing and screaming at Mr. Henderson, in front of a packed room of paying customers, and then running to the bathroom constantly. I had to use the restroom before we left and I had to wait because it was occupied, when the person finally emerged, it was Mrs. Rita, and a very unusual smell and smoke came out with her. Now, I have never, in all my years coming here, have gone through that. But, I promise you, my family will not come back, and we will tell others why, to any Waffle house establishment, if any employee, let alone, a manager, is behaving that way towards anyone. She was cruel and vicious. You need to check who you're hiring. I'm sorry for sounding mean but she and her actions were completely and horribly unacceptable...To add on that, we left Mr. Henderson a generous tip for making what was essentially a horrible night at my favorite Waffle house into something manageable. Thanks for listening...

Waffle House wait staff

My sister and I went to Waffle House last night, 9/13, and I had a coupon for a free waffle with any purchase. The coupon was laying on the table when the waitress was taking our drink orders and she picked it up to read what it was - she had never had one of those coupons presented to her before. When she came back to take our order, I told her I only wanted my coffee and the waffle and my sister ordered two eggs; I told the waitress we were on the same ticket. She started to walk away and then turned around and said "so you just gonna get coffee and a free waffle" and I told her "yes ma'am." She then told me, from a long distance and in a loud voice, that I'm supposed to purchase an entire meal to get the free waffle, not just coffee. Her exact words were "you can't just buy a cup of coffee and get a free waffle" even though the coupon said "with ANY purchase." She told me she'd let me have it this time but continued to yell in my direction about it while the entire restaurant was staring and was quiet. She then got back to the kitchen area and started talking to her coworker in what she thought was a quiet voice, but still everyone could hear, saying "she's just gonna come in here and buy a cup of coffee and expect to get a free waffle, you can't do that." She went on about it for almost 5 minutes. Even disregarding her ignorance about the coupon itself, this experience was embarrassing for me considering everyone was watching a customer getting fussed at. This waitress was very unprofessional, cussing like a sailor for all customers to hear, and she was so incredibly disrespectful and plain rude to me for no valid reason. I would highly appreciate if this issue was addressed with the waitress herself.

Waffle House everything

This is in reference to Waffle House 847 1001 Clemson rd Columbia sc 29229. I've called 6 times in 20 mins and they didn't answer the phone so I could pick up a order I asked if the phone was working the lady got smart and had a attitude saying the phone hasn't rang in a minute so I showed her my call log. She took my order and my food was done just sitting there and she did not give me my food so I went outside and waited 5 more minutes and went back in. I asked if I could pay and then she gave me my food I'm so mad right now I lost my appetite this place need to fire them all and get new people it's rediculous.

Waffle House ordering

On Sunday, September 10, 2017 I called the Waffle House in Batesburg - Leesville SC and was told that I could not place a Togo order because they were busy and that I could call back in 20 minutes or come in and place the order. My husband then called and asked to speak with the manager about the situation and was hung up on. We are very upset because we frequent this waffle house every weekend.

Waffle House management

I was eating with my family at waffle house in Bessemer Alabama on 9th ave store#1970 when the manager DeShad is his name my spelling my maybe incorrect on his name. However he was totally unprofessional cussing at his employees discuss other employees openly about how awful they were, telling them they wasn't getting there checks today. It was such a hostile environment that my family left due to this. Being a human resource director for 12 years, I KNOW HE VIOLATIED HIPPA LAWS AND THIS TYPE OF MANAGEMENT IS EXACTLY WHAT RUINS A STORE COMPLETELY! WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD OUR FOOD PREPARED BY GRILL COOK SHIANNE WHICH IS ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES HE WAS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL DISTASTEFUL AND GIVES THAT STORE A TERRIBLE REPUTATION. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE EMPLOYEES SHOULD NOT FEEL THREATENED BUT EVEN MORE SO CUSTOMERS SHOULD NEVER. WE EAT HERE ONCE A WEEK AT LEAST HE IS RUDE UNPLEASANT AND ACTS AS IF HE HATES HIS JOB. WE WILL NOT BE BACK UNTIL THERE IS NEW MANAGEMENT HERE. GET RID OF THIS TYPE OF EMPLOYEE BEFORE YOU HAVE A TRAGIC SITUATION FROM ALL THE CONFRONT POOR NEGATIVE NASTY ATTITUDE OF MANAGEMENT ATTACKING HIS EMPLOYEES!

Waffle House service

The cook John Cook at the waffle house in Lenoir City, Tennessee by the Days Inn should be fired. I came in at 2am from driving 12 hrs and when I said coffee he said "What beer". Then the waitresses started complaining about him not treating them right. Now, as much as I travel and frequently stop at waffle houses, this is totally unacceptable. You need to take this seriously.

Waffle House service and cleanliness

My husband and I went to eat breakfast in Crowley, LA near I-[protected]) since it was close to the hotel where we stayed. We were greeted immediately; however, the table where we were seated had not been cleaned and the menu was stuck to the table. We had to request cleaning; had to repeat our orange juice order. Also we noticed jelly packets stored under the dishwashing sink; cross contamination with raw meats and other foods; waitress holding plates and rubbing them on another employee's shirt while waiting for orders; dishwasher was helping with bringing silverware and napkins to a table with wet hands; overall not as clean as it should be. Wait time was not bad.

Waffle House manger

Derrick Murray is very unprofessional at times and as I know he drinks on shift I have smelled it on his breath multiple times his employees have also chattered with me on this particular situation Also I hear he has had relations with many of his employees and I think that is very unprofessional and also a rule of some sort? I cannot believe the things I hear of this particular individual. I believe he need to be removed of his position.

Waffle House I have been served the wrong order for the second time

I have ordered take out from the Fairview Waffle House in Ellenwood GA and they have never gotten my order correct. I'm always stuck with food I don't eat and I'm asked to return it. Great, late night eats at 2am... sure I don't mind returning food that should be correct. The first time I ordered from this location, I was given the completely wrong order. Just an hour ago I ordered a a party kept meal with hash browns scattered covered and smothered with a pork chop meal with double hash browns scattered cover and smothered. I received a party melt meal with scattered hash browns and a pork chop meal with eggs and scattered hash browns.

Waffle House service at two waffle house locations

My husband and I just set down at the second Waffle House in our location today. At the first location, in Millersville TN, we waited for 20 minutes to be served and listened to waiters discuss who would wait on us. After growing tired of being the only customers who had not been waited on we decided to leave and try a different Waffle House. When we arrived at the Dickerson Rd location in Nashville Tn we were left standing. The young lady who finally came to serve us was good but my meal was ruined from the bad attitudes and rudeness I witnessed. Is this now the norm for your restaurants? How very disappointing.

Waffle House the work schedule

I Toyia Falls, is writing on the behalf of my work schedule. I came to my unit manager Paul @ store 131 bout a month ago to let him know I would only be able to work pt which is Fri, Sat, & Sun. Which im already on the schedule for, cause of my 1st school semester is about ro start plus I have to start these foster parenting classes cause I'm trying to get custody of my nieces which I let Chris know as well which is the district manager over store 131. When I came to Paul about it he told me to write the days I can work in the back of my ticket book which I've done. Two weeks later I asked him about it & he said he's just going to take me off the schedule. I don't think he's being fair & its always a problem with the schedule with Paul. He just don't want to take the time to fill the other2 days. My normal schedule is Fri-Sun 7a. m-2p. m & Mon & Tues 2p. m-9p. m. off on Wednesdays & Thursdays. Please let me kno what can I do.

Waffle House service

I had came in one night to get a to go order and I was drunk I walk in the door I was greeted by priscilla she was very nice she had the biggest smile on her face I had seen her several times before I was standing up as she was standing by the register a another associate had walk out the back his name was deshaun and he said to me I can take to out side and give u something to cheer u up and made a thrusting motion it was very inappropriate so I walked out and I said forget it never in my lifevhave I ever felt so disrespect ed he needs to be fired priscilla came out side and apologize d to me but she did nothing wrong at all she was so sweet and respectful she gave me a hug and made me feel so much better

Waffle House service

I was there on a late night stop on a long drive back up to michigan. The woman who worked there grace was very rude. She ignored customers, argued with other members of the staff. She was continuously disturbing the meal I wanted to enjoy. There was a smell of an illegal substance coming from grace. The area for customers was a wreck while grill was kept up with considering the amount of people in the establishment at the time. A member of the cook staff brought my family our food. Her name was janey. She was very polite, gave service with a smile. She remained professional when the other girl was yelling at her. And while grace was on the phone talking to someone about her and about leaving her job. The food was fantastic, she did a amazing job. I will definitely be back because of her. Being very helpful while the waitress grace should be dealt with for disturbing us customers.

Waffle House to-go orders

I placed a to-go order for a 66 year old Widow my landlord, when she got her food home the All Star breakfast had no bacon the vegetable omelette which she wanted extra mushrooms and onions on had no onions and two little mushrooms but they shoved about 30 jalapeno peppers in there I called to speak to the manager they told me she was busy left name and number and she never called back I called customer service and left name and number and they never called back and we will never go back at least at the Huddle House and get my order right

Waffle House server and service

I came in to eat Monday night my server was a lady by the name Michelle was a good server but I grew concerned as she stayed outside for a long time and when I went to pay she instructed me to leave my money on the table witch I left fifteen dollars or so and never received a ticket like the others in the store as I walked outside after watching her pick my money and put it in her pocket and never touch the regestar I sat in my car as I watched her walk out side to smoke again I got out of my car to ask for directions when I walked around the corner she had a methamphetamine pipe in her had she then jumped and handed it to what I believe is her boyfriend this is a big concern for me as it should be to the manager of this store as well

Waffle House staff and service

Tonight, August 25th 2017, my grandmother and I are traveling back to Raleigh NC from St. Louis. After 8 hours of driving we saw the sign for Waffle House and were excited to pull over and have some coffee and waffles. We eat at the Waffle House on Hillsborough street in Raleigh NC weekly and have incredible service. We walked into this particular Waffle House in TN at 8:15pm and were not greeted nor given even a glance of recognition. We attempted to ask if a particular table was ok to sit at because it didn't look clean but it was not dirty either. No one answered us so we sat down. There were no menus on the and we tried asking for one but no one would give us one. The waitress whose section we sat in was clearing a table. After she moved the plates to the low bar and wiped off the booth she then put the dirty dishes back on the booth and still did not acknowledge us. At 8:20 two more tables walked in. She took their drink order but still not our. She walked past us and apologized that she would be right with us. There were only 3 people at the high bar, one person in the booth next to the high bar, my table (2 people) a booth of 4 (who she served before us) and a booth of two people with 4 or 5 waitstaff working. At 8:30 she gave the table their drinks and then walked up to us and said, "sorry I have to use the bathroom. I'm going to go and I'll come back and take your order." When she came back on the floor she stood waiting for the grill op to call the other tables food (who got there 10 minutes after us) and still did not even ask us if we wanted something to drink or set us up with silverware. She then asked someone else to come help us and everyone told her it wasn't their section. Meanwhile other sections were being served and they sat down in the restaurant after us. At 8:35 a table walked out because no one would help them either. Finally at 8:45 the male associate took the table of two sitting in the booth behind me who had just walked in. We asked him if he could please assists us since we have been waiting for 30 minutes and he said with an attitude "No, I'm not your waiter." My grandmother and I left the restaurant after that comment. I understand it was the end of their shift but this was by far the WORST experience I have ever had in my life at a Waffle House let alone any restaurant. The staff was incredibly unprofessional and rude.

My son Timothy Ferguson work s at the waffle house in elkton md on elkton rd I walked in to see how long he would be when some girl with green hair is yelling at my teenage so to help her with the tables with only two customers in the store he at the time just got finished with the cleaning as I could clearly see as I pulled up I feel he should be apologized to for being talked to any old kind of way she quickly got quite as she realized he was my son this made me very unhappy

Waffle House store # 1924

Store employees where using profanity, behaving unprofessionally and speaking and acting in a sexual manner. Manager picked up an employee and turned her upside down next to the cooking station. Employees were being excessively loud to the point of not being able to hear anything the person across the table from me was saying. The food was cooked well and there were a couple of employees that were professional and worked well but overall, the experience was not satisfactory and we will not be returning. The time we spent at this establishment was between 1:00p.m. and 2:00p.m. on my birthday August 19th 2017. Worst 21st birthday experience I could've had.

Waffle House poor service

Waffle House, 7290 Pendleton Pike, Lawrence, IN.
I had to leave the store I waited because of the long waiting for my food. I waited for 45 minutes and didn't get it. Luckily I took a day off and was not in rush, but what about other customers? The store wasn't overcrowded and there were only two other customers, so it's strange why I wasn't served.

Waffle House poor service

I called in my order. Once arriving my order was incorrect because it was missing items. I called back to get my missing items and they were going to be ready upon arrival. After realizing my order was incorrect one again I called multiple times to get the problem fixed. My order was cold and not prepared to standards. I experienced poor customer service and I would like my money back.
