The manager in the waffle house (alabaster al) does not treat employees equally. She has her favorites and it really shows. I was a first shift employee for 3 months and she hired back a girl who was working 3rd and gave her my first shift position. I talked to the manager about it and she told me that the girl never quit. (even though she was put on the no re hire list, she never quit) she said she had been there for 5 years and that she had seniority over me. When i looked and the people quota sheet on the wall in plainly showed i had been there longer and tryed talkin to her again. thats when she told me that seniority didnt matter at waffle house that were ever you were needed was the shift you were going to be scheduled for. I think the reason she gave her my shift is because they are good friends and the girl was living with her for awhile. that is not right. i fill that something should be done about it

I work at this waffe house and the grilloperater Jody refused to cook my food because he wouldnt turn off the air. He was making the customers mad and the manager and the district manager refuse to do anything, ever. This is getting ridiculous! Please Help! Deanna Johnson( brandyspado@yahoo.com

IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FREEZLING IN THE RESTURANT. WE ASKED IF THEY WOULD TURN IT OFF AND DID FOR ABOUT 10 MINTES. PEOLPE WERE LEAVING BEFORE ORDERING DUE TO IT BEING SO COLD. WHEN WE GOT OUR FOOD, IT WAS FREEZING COLD. THE PLATES WERE EVEN COLD. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A WAFFLE HOUSE THAT WAS THAT COLD. NO EXCUSE FOR IT.

Disregard to customer needs and cold receptions when entering. Floors with trash and dirt scattered about.

Bad service in a waffle house?! wow go figure...try going to real restauants and spend some real money. then complain. Just the fact that people complain about low class restaurants is just hilarious. You get what you pay for. Make your waffles at home.

I also worked for a waffle house and was also treated bad by the management there. Jasper Alabama matter of fact. I was put on the no hire list for reasons that is not true. I was one of the best employee that waffle house had. I was never late and even showed up when it snowed. Rarely sick and I worked really hard beyond what others did there. I was not taking drugs or alcohol or selling it to customers like some of them at night. I worked the day shift but so was some of his friends and relative. He treated me like I was a dog and he also yelled at me from the top of his lungs as some would say. I had to go to CA. to help my ex husband and when I got back I found out I was on a no hire list. If waffle house is interested in the rest of my story they can call Darlene at [protected].

only advice i can give is for you to drop it, you dont want to lose your job right now.
So many employees dont realize that when you are complaining to the boss and then get the GM/DM involved, you become the center of attention, and the original matter becomes sort of less important than the sudden appearance of a disgruntled employee who keeps complaining.

remember this, ive seen it happen too many times.. if they are not bothered by your complaint.. just drop it completely and never mention it again.. because you will be making yourself the problem instead..

I was an employee at the Great Mall Waffle House in Olathe Kansas up until two days ago. They terminated my status as an employee on the basis that I left the store in the early morning hours. I do not dispute these facts simply because I did leave the store. I walked to the gas station to buy a pack of cigarettes because I was out. I acknowledge that is was wrong to leave the establishment. I'm discharged and I deserve it. I got snitched on by another employee who was off the clock and present during that time. My dilemma is that that employee has done the same thing that I did. They left the store to go pick up someone else and bring them back to the store. The person he/she was picking up is not even allowed at Waffle House. I have transmitted this information to the unit manager and the district manager. This information can be verified through another employee who witnessed it as well. They did not give her a verbal warning or a write up and she continues to work there. This is terribly unfair and unjust.
