Wells Fargo they are completely ridiculous and prolongs situations when getting your insurance settlement

We live in NJ. This is our 3rd flood in 4 years, 2 in the same year by a day. This mortgage company is abosoultely ridiculous and really jerks people around when it comes to getting their insurance settlement. People lives have been devistated and it takes easily 4 - 5 weeks before an adjuster gets you their settlement offer. Our adjuster gave us an advance to continue so we can begin working on our home. We had to than send it to Wells Fargo and as of today almost a month and a week later, we still do not have the advance. Since than they were sent the final settlement. They have to have their own inspector come out, than they have to give the report even though the report says 75% complete...they still won't send out hte money because they don't have the contractors paperwork it is absoultely absurb when they know the work has been done. something needs to be done with this company

YES! WELLS FARGO is nothing more than a crook when it comes to dealing with cutomers. Since they are the nations largest mortgage provider they believe that they can do whatever they want. We had our house burn to the ground! Following their own procedures we completed "ALL" of their paperwork and sent it in along with a check for them to overnight our checks to a new address since we are not living in our house since it is GONE! Wells fargo after weeks issued us the check and sent it standard mail to the mailing address of the house that burned down. When we did not receive it we contacted them and they admitted their mistake but told us that it was "their policy" that to correct theis mistake they would have to stop payment on the check which could take 48 hours then another 48 hours to reissue another check. WHAT THE HECK! They are the bank this only proves how little they care for their customers. Now a week later we still do not have the check . I am on the phone with Wells Fargo and they told me that it took them 72 hours to stop the check and they have not processed the request but they will do so now but it will take them at least another 2 days to cut the check! AWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww how this company is still in business is beyond me!

We are a insurance restoration company that deals with wells fargo repeatedly. They SUCK! No wonder everyone goes broke dealing with screwy banks. They think all the money belongs to them when they have a contract to honor. Try to charge them inerest or late fees, blowhards.

Wells Fargo online billpay

Wells Fargo Online Bill pay stinks! Accounts transferred this week from Wachovia to Wells Fargo. I scheduled payments to go out on pay day and Wells Fargo takes the money out 3 to 5 days before the date you scheduled. Do they really think people read all the ridiculous paperwork that they send? I couldn't even see their bill pay system until today-yep-too late to reschedule my payments-yep money pulled out too soon- yep overdraft. First Day with Wells Fargo and SUPER DISSATISFIED. Customer Service was no help. Nothing they can do.

I got a paper in the mail that read, sign up for a wells Fargo account and you will receive a $50.00 gift card. I waited a few months and then I went to my new wells Fargo bank and asked them when i will receive it, , they had me waiting for 10 minutes and then said, I am sorry my manager went on line and there was no such add. I looked around my self online and could not find any info. A few moths later, wells Fargo advertised that if you start automatic bill pay you will receive a $10.00 deposit in my checking, and again I never saw it.

Not really. Contracts can be defined in many ways. They can be verbal, written or just by "method of operation" or accepted practice of operation between two parties.

Wells Fargo is certainly not operating in the same fashion that Wachovia did. Wachovia paid bills on the day you directed through EFT as long as the payee accepted that. If not they issued a check and mailed it to the payee. The money did not come out of your account until the check was cashed. Now they are taking 3 to 5 days even when it is EFT. WHAT A RIP OFF!

Now with Wells Fargo having some 40, 000, 000 online bill payers (their 23mm and Wachoiva's 17mm), do the math. $1, $10, $100. You are quickly floating $4 billion plus plus.

I wish some one would let me handle $4 billion that I could loan out at 29% to some poor guy with bad credit.

The topper is we will be paying Wells Fargo to do this.

I am not happy.

Well I guess my company is "old fashioned" .

Every company that we have ever bought we honored all obligations and contracts of that company.

But I guess that is what you might call integrity, something that Wells Fargo seems to care little about in this case.

good thing that wells fargo isnt wachovia. therefore, any contracts you had with wachovia are null and void.
but, to keep customers content, they will still offer the same services. but, since there isnt a contract, they arent bound by anything that says they have to.

As a Florida resident, we are some of the last of the Wachovia customers being converted to Wells Fargo. My feelings are the following:

First-The bill pay option was an agreement every Wachovia customer had with Wachovia. For Wells Fargo to change that is failure to abide by the agreement or "contract" that we had with Wachovia.

Second-Wells Fargo will benefit by "floating the money" and this change benefits them at the consumer's expense.

I have not heard a satisfactory excuse as to why they can not handle the bill pay in the same manner as Wachovia. Imagine how much money they are pulling and holding for three to five days to earn interest on it.

This is not an issue over whether you have read the paper work, it is an issue of wheteher the consumer will allow them to use our money in a questionable manner to make money in violation of a standing agreement with an institute that they purchased.

I believe that if this policy is not changed that all affected Wachoiva customers should band together in a class action suit to force this change.

But that is just I believe. If you fell the same way let me hear from you.

At the time of this posters original complaint, Wells Fargo changed the software that does the online banking.
I have a complaint myself regarding that change.
The complaint is for both Wells Fargo and Intuit software, makers of Quicken.
Finally after weeks of trying, the fourth tech support guy I talked to at Wells Fargo was able to resolve the final issue that came up due to this software change that Wells did.
Numerous issues:
1. could NOT change to the new wells fargo online software name in EDIT mode. since it kept saying "can not change since there are pending transactions" but there are no pending transactions, confirmed by Wells fargo tech support, and by Intuit tech support.
2. So, I just opened another checking account at Wells Fargo, but other issues came up: OUTBOX not working. Password or user name incorrect (OL-301, OL-302, OL-332 error message codes).
SOLUTION WAS: (FOR ANYONE THAT MAY HAVE THE SAME ISSUES) UPPER LEFT CORNER OF OUTBOX SHOWS A SMALL WINDOW WITH BANK ACCOUNT NAMES. IT'S A SCROLL DOWN TYPE WINDOW, AND NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO SHOW THE ENTIRE NAME. SOLUTION WAS TO CLICK ON THIS LITTLE WINDOW AND TO VERIFY THAT THE ACCOUNT NAME WAS AN ACTUAL VALAD NAME, AND NOT A BOGUS ONE. WHICH IS WHAT I FOUND IN MY CASE: IT HAD 4 BOGUS ACCOUNT NAMES, CREATED OVER THE YEARS, OR DURING TESTING BY ME OR BY TECH SUPPORT. (ONE NAME WAS 111111), THE SOFTWARE TRIES TO DOWNLOAD DATA ON ALL THESE ACCOUNTS. HENCE THE ERROR CODES, AND MY HAVING TO ENTER PASSWORD TWICE EACH TIME DOWNLOAD ATTEMPTED.
Intuit spent many hours plus 1 hour 40min in control of my computer, trying to resolve it, but was not able to do so. They thought that it was due to a corrupted Quicken file. (If so, it was corrupted due to the many crashes Quicken would do after a new update over the years.)

I've talked to several accountants, and they all say they hate Quicken. Due to the non standard clumsy operation that fails to follow basic accountant procedures, and due to the fact that any user can DELETE an account.! this really messes up the rest of all the linked accounts.

final answer: I don't recommend using Quicken software. since once you start using it, you are LOCKED INTO IT FOREVER. (oh, yes, one solution suggested by Intuit was to change to Quickbooks for Mac, but listen to this:
1. quicken for mac 2007 (the latest one available for Mac) export FAILED to transfer (or even try to transfer) to Quickbooks for mac 2011. NOTHING happens when trying to import QIF file from Quicken 2007 for mac.
2. Intuit tech support solution to this (after hours of them trying to get it to transfer with them in control of my Mac and my PC.) was to transfer Quicken for mac 2007 export to QUICKEN FOR PC 2011, which they provided a free 30 day version.
3 this transfer failed as well, although it actually tried to do so.
Their idea was to transfer to Quicken for PC, then they say I could easily transfer THAT export file to QUICKBOOKS for Mac 2011.
Didn't work.

I never have experience this problem ever with any other bank. I only found out when browsing though a Web page disclosing the changes after logging onto Wachovia Online Banking. The main problem is for many customers that receive direct deposit payments (such as retirement payments) deposited automatically on the first of every month at which time rent is due. Under the Wachovia system, the rent check, etc., sent to the landlord would be paid the same day and the amount deducted from the account that night. Unfortunately, with the way Wells Fargo has it set up, the amount for the rent check is deducted at the time the check is mailed which is set up five business days before the date to be paid. As a result, an overdraft may arise for those customers checking account that are nearly depleted toward the end of the month.
The options left to the customer are to (1) write a check and send it a few days before the due date (like before using the billpayer service), (2) make an arrangement with the landlord to accept a late payment, or (3) change to another bank that offers free checking and deducts payment for a check on the expected date of delivery. My inclination is to "vote with my feet" and change banks.

Wells Fargo harassing calls

I have had my mortgage with Wells Fargo for almost 20 yrs & have a 2 week grace period on contract before late fees are charged. These people call my home all times of day, night, weekends etc to harass me about when I am going to make my payment. They call before my payment is even late. I told them I have a grace period & one person I spoke to said so what. I have never been 30 days late and don't know how to stop them from calling me. What do they think I am going to do - pick up my house and run away. What is their purpose for calling me. Driving me crazy, I am 66 yrs old & taking care of dad who has alzheimers. How can I stop this harrassment.

I had my mortgage payment set up on Wells Fargos bill pay. Yet Wells fargo has been calling me every month wanting to know when I was going to make my payment. I asked them why they were calling me every month when they know that it's been set up for months now. What is worst is they would make me go thru all of the my property information before they would get to the meat of the issue. They told me that Wells fargo mortgage is separate from wells fargo bank and I needed to set up my payments thru them. They would call me at work and if I was busy they would call me every couple of hours interrupting my work only to call back the next to hours.I finally had it with the harassment so I told them to put me on their DO NOT CALL list. They called me twice more and each time I told them to put me on the list. I also told them each time I told them I was going to report them for violating the do not call list. This meant each time they would be fined for calling me.
The day next went by and half way thru it I realized they had stopped calling.
I have been told that Wells Fargo has retaliated by stopping their debt and credit cards because they couldn't call them about the cards. Well after months dealing with well fargo and their unconscionable behavior towards customers I felt I better protect myself. I went and joined the credit union. I set a savings and checking account and they gave me a debt card on the spot so I'll move one source of my income there so I can set up bill pay and be ready in case Wells Fargo feels the need to stomp on 1 of their customers to make an example of me.

Wells Fargo employee fraud

This company is a joke, I have heard upper level managers stating they looking to cut costs and find ways to fire people. There have been a string of frining of older and talented workers. They say that the conversion to wells is why people are leaving the bank. But they are protecting their culture of deception at the top starting with the Regional President's Assistant Michelle Roy. She bullies employees around and witholds information from the President. The removed the old president but did not remove his assistant who is the problem. The internal auditor Drew cheets on the audits by doing the questions for the bankers to get 100s. The District Mangers approve product pushing and telling the bankers to open accounts for customers. Some customers have 2 or 3 accounts and they push credit cards. They fire the employees and cover up that they authorized it.

Wells Fargo the worst bank in us

The worst bank in America, a total rip off. I forgot to make a payment on my credit card so they called me. I gladly decided to arrange a payment on a specific date. I asked the customer representative at least 5 times about the available balance after I make the payment. She assured me that once I make the payment, the very next I'd be able to use the card again. Guess what? The payment went through last night and today my credit card account has been closed. I called the customer service and the representative said he could only apologize for misinforming me. Not just one but 2 more reps lied to me and fooled me to make a payment and never disclosed the fact that my account would be closed once the payment goes through.
That's not it. They have charged me at least $5000 in fines and charges since I have opened an account with them. Isn't there any law that could teach them a lesson? Does Wells Fargo only serve rich people? Is it not a bank for middle class or middle-lower class?
Shame on you Wells Fargo, I pity your business ethics. How many more people will have to suffer to get this freaking bank closed? So glad they lost the law suit last year for the over draft fees case.
A request to all the readers: Please do not bank with them. Close your Wells Fargo Accounts. Let them go bankrupt, let them suffer too.

Thanks

Agreed. Wells Hells fartgo. Total out of control capitalism gone wild. Unregulated. No accountability. They can manipulate your account. Not pay the merchant. And Denie you a refund.
Although they were forced by law to stop the NSF on certain payment types, however on checks or E checks or routing number payments your account can be charged NSF multiple times. Even for $1 short.

Wells Fargo excessive interest after maturation

I accepted auto loan from Wells Fargo Auto Finance in 2006. My loan was for 48 mos and matured 1/2011. I have been late for the entirety of the loan because I over estimated my ability to meet the note ($689 monthly) but I always paid the late fees. The auto was repossessed once and I paid the fees to retain it back. In December of 2010 I spoke with a very nice agent who assisted me in getting the loan caught up. I paid $1400 that night via Western Union and then authorized a bank draft the following week which made me current to that month. According to the agent the remaining balance on my loan was $1823 which included the Jan payment. On Jan 12 I scheduled the final bank draft of $1823 to be taken on 1/24/11 which was the final amount due on the loan. On 1/24 this amount was drafted from my account as scheduled. On 1/6 I received a statement which confirmed the amount as I discussed with the agent. In february I began receiving collection calls stating I owed a balance for late fees in the amount of $1824. I then began to explain that the amount was the payment taken in Jan. The agent stated that that amount was for the principal balance due and not the late fees. I disputed that for several weeks. In March the same collection calls kept coming and I continued to express my point regarding the payments made and the agent information provided to me along with the statement/letters sent confirming the payments. Nothing helped and the agents began to get nasty with their conversation. On April 9th I again had another debate with Wells Fargo collection agent regarding my auto loan. This time a Supervisor explained that I owed $1791 for Interest that had accrued on my loan during the times I was late. I argued that this cannot be because I was told that the final amount due was $1823 in December and that I paid that amount in Jan as agreed. The Agent then stated that $1200 of that was for late fees and the other was applied to my 48th payment. I then asked how could Interest accrue when the loan was paid in full in the month it matured? I was informed that I had a "simple interest" auto loan and for every day I was late interest was accruing outside of the late fees that were being charged. I was told if I did not pay the $1791 by 4/12 the vehicle would be repossessed. On 4/11 I again called trying to reach an agreement but to no avail so I paid the $1791 via Western Union. The very next day I got collection calls again now saying that the $1791 was not a payoff but I still owe $91 and the vehicle is subject to repossession if I don't pay it immediately. I argued against it stating once again I paid what you guys said was due but to no avail.
I am lost at what to do but I know that this is not fair lending practices and that what they are doing is because they know lower income individuals dont know the law regarding lending and tha fighting them for their unethical/illegal behavior is seriously hard. Something needs to be done about this!

Wells Fargo banking experience

I was a long time member of this for many years and have seen the name change a few times... I heard of comments when it were the other names and start seeing what ppl were complaining about...Along with the other crazy charges they trough in and have raise through the years, the banking service has went SOUR. I haven't had problems with the tellers, it more the service (policies) that I found out that other banks don't have that has push me over the edge with WellsfargoWachovia. Many don't make since to have in place and how they explain it is that this is how they operate. Well putting a check in another person's checking account has to done before 2;00, OK, but you can't put it in cash unless that person is present. Mind you, they put the hold on the amount out of your account but the person has to wait the next day to get the funds. Well they did say they can only do direct cash to check if the person is present but I personally think that that if they were there it would be called cashing and not asking the bank to deposit the check in their account as a cash. I could see holding it from another bank but these are you own customers with accounts. Well I have a much better bank, one that's for PEOPLE and is allot relaxed with charges, in fact if I have to use another banks ATM for a withdrawal they refund the charges the bank throws on(Wellsfargo $3.00 and all other banks)..WOW

Wells Fargo phone harrassment

Due to a lengthy illness, I was not able to meet my loan payment entirely in March 2011. I have held a loan with Wells Fargo Auto Finance for six years. This was the first time I had fallen a little behind. I called and made arrangements to pay the interest and the late payment fee within an agreed time frame. Now here's the kicker: from the day that the payment had been missed until well after the day I had made the payment, I received phone call after phone call on daily basis, with multiple calls per day. Now here is where I lost it! They called me on Saturday mornings and Sunday mornings, during times when they say they are not available for customer service calls. The agents calling were rude, obnoxious and threatened to repossess my car, even though I had paid the agreed amount! I reported this bad business practise to the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Protection agency. I would encourage all who have experienced similar harassing phone calls from a financing company to do the same.

Wells Fargo overdrafting fees, charged mo. fees when there was not enough money to cover that fee, then they would place on another overage fee

I have not had an account with Wells Fargo for around three years, the bank is telling me that I owe them 357.75, which are all over draft and monthly bank fees. I tried to take care of this problem with this insutuion, I know that I had someone get into my account and take out money, then had an investigation filed with Wells Fargo, they could not find out any fraud activity, eventhough I'm 100% this occured. I'm on Social Security and had a direct deposit account, and was charged a mounthly fee for having my acount through there bank. When, I payed my mothly bill s, normally there was not more than 10.00 left in the acount; sometines there was less than that amount. I would be charged a monthly fee of around 9.00, this would overdraft my account and they would charge me 30.00 for each occurance. I then went to another bank and transferd my direct deposit to that insutuion, without difficulties. I told Wells Fargo to close my accout with them. I had though it was closed after that, they told me I owed them an amount of 277.84. Today, I recived a call from there collection department for 357.75, and were willing to accept 277.84, less 79.91 intrest fees, I further went on to state I may be willing to make payment's, I can get a 10% reduction off the 277.84 which came to 250.00, and they were willing to do so if I was to give them a postdated check for that amount today. I was not able to and told them I do not give out any post dated checks over the phone, plus the money would not be there. They also would work with me if I can make payments of around 40.00 each month, with a payment today of 25.00, I may have if I had the funds. But I don't and the money I have left in my bank has to last till the first of the month. One employee came on the phone and was vey acusitory, , and won't be sent anymore information on the brakedown of what I owe, and that I was basiclly a free loader, I have contested this from the start with direct communications to the bank, the VP of that branch. If I was 100% in the wrong they would of not gone for any negociations, and would of not tryed to pry any amount for a person who is is disabled. I feel Wells Fargo sets these accounts up with the disabled, knowing that they can possible get overdraft fees, additional charges, and when they can't collect after the accout is closed they can get even more monies by adding intrest fees. And then harrass the client until they pay. I hope and pray that my experience with them has not occured with others.

Wells Fargo releasing money to contractor without authorization

On April 4, 2011, I called Wells Fargo asking them not to release the money ($9, 000.00) that I had financed through Guardian Roofs Energy and Solutions in Santa Ana, Ca, because I am in dispute with Guardian Roofs and I am waiting for them to finish up the roofing job. I was told on the phone that they (the bank) had released the money to Guardian on March 31, 2011, ASSUMING that the job had been done. I was stunned to hear that the bank released the money without verifying with me. They don't have my signature on the document; they just ASSUMED that the job had been completed by Guardian Roofs, who is trying to get $1, 400.00 more from me to finish up the job. Guardian Roofs didn't even try to get the job permit from the City of Diamond Bar as per our contract. They said nothing until I asked them about the permit.

Wells Fargo asked that I call them on April 20 for the status of my account. I am afraid I am dealing with one construction company not willing to be fully responsible for their mistake and a bank that handles my money in such an unbelievably irresponsible way.

Please watch out and do not sign a contract with a construction company without consulting with your friends or shopping around. I was too trusting. Now my roof is only partly done and I am in dispute with Guardian Roofs to whom I gave the job with confidence on March 23, 2011.

Wells Fargo poor customer service and undisclosed service fees

My husband and I opened a Wells Fargo checking and saving account on 12/29/2010. I specifically asked about service fees because when we lived in Ca we had problems with Wells Fargo and their service fees. I was told by the banker that I would need to open a checking and savings account, keep a minimum of $5, 000 in the two accounts to eliminate any service fees. We also needed to open online banking and have a debit card.
Immediately in Jan we were hit with service fees on the saving account. I called on 3/16, the banker did not understand why this had happened, we had more than the $5, 000 requirement in the account s - she would reversed the fees - said I should have a monthly transfer to cheeking to keep this from happening again.
Quess what - received the statement yesterday - another deduction for service fees. I called today at 9:30 - they said someone would call me back - 11:30 no call. I called them - I was put on hold to investigate. The banker then told me we had not met the requirements. I was shocked - she said that both my husband and I needed debit cards (I orginally was told we only needed one debit card) and my husband also needed to be set up for online banking, even if he did not use it. (the orginal banker did not inform me of this and only set me up for online banking). I was very upset and she was very rude to me - kept calling my husband by the wrong name. I told her to make whatever changes were needed, but I had not been told of these requirements. I asked if I needed to come into the bank and what did she need from me ( very rudely - I quote - she said I don't need anything from you. As soon as I can change some automatic deposits - I will be closing these accounts.

Same exact thing happened to me...Plus I had a $5, 000 credit line and they decided to reduce my credit limit and I was already at my $5000 dollar limit so I was charged an over the limit fee and an over draft fee, I keep enough money in this account to pay my credit card each month on an automatic payment plan mind you. So i was hit with Over draft and over the limit fee! When I called them they said " Oh no I am not sure what happened" we will remove the charges. Well needless to say after 10 calls the charges were never removed. I am Happy to say my credit card is paid off and my account with Wells fraud is closed.

Wells Fargo false credit report

My Husband and I purchased a Vehicle with the assistance of Wells Fargo Auto Finance loan, we didn't have the best credit so it was a high interest loan. There were times we were behind on payments. One time they even repossesed the vehicle after accepting a payment and then returned the vehicle to us...finally in March of 2008 we paid the loan off, received the title and the next year we traded it in on a new vehicle. Durring the course of the loan they marked our credit report as the vehicle was repossesed however the vehicle was still in our possesion and payments were current, I even received a letter stating that it was not suppose to be marked in repossesion on our credit report. Here we are more than two years after paying the loan off in full...my husband has a credit review for his job and they have the loan marked not paid in full but charged off bad debt to the tune of over $7000! So when calling to correct this (I have two days to do this or my husband will be fired!) I'm directed to submit the dispute to the credit agency and to WFAF internal Credit Dispute Resolution and they will get to it. I finally get escallated to a supervisor who tries to send me a paid in full letter (to prove to the employeer that its paid in full) but he is not sure he is able to due to the account status of it listed in REPOSESSION! Let me clarify they repossesed the vehicle ONCE and handed it back to me the very next day with their apologies for making the mistake! However they listed it TWICE on my credit report AND now they have marked the account as CHARGED OFF when it was PAID IN FULL over two years ago! Something has to give with this company! I will NEVER use or recomend them EVER!

Well I completely agree that we fell behind, let me clarify the situation a bit, I brought the account current and they didn't call off the reposesser...Their fault! They then reported it to the credit agency as a repossesed account, when I still had the vehicle in my possestion and the account was current...once again their fault...I have letters stating that they should not have repossesed the vehicle or placed the repossesion on our credit report...while my part in the late payment is admitedly my fault (Please also note that the payments were caught up, maintained and the loan paid off in full) How would you explain my actions being any part of the problem of the account being CURRENTLY reported as Charged Off Bad Debt (It is currently ON our credit report as such) when the account was paid in full in March of 2008 (Three years ago it was paid off!)? How does that problem originate with me? That is WF false reporting on both the repossesion AND the Charged Off Bad Debt no matter what my part was with my original late payments...my actions did not and do not warrant this treatment to my credit report. The continued unwarranted and INCORRECT defacement of our credit by WF is causing furthered issues with employment. I accept my responsibility for the original late payment and that is/does show on my credit however we will all agree that Repossesion and Charge Off Bad Debt reports are much more damaging. My complaint is not about them reporting the late payments that I caused...my complaint is about the incorrect report on my credit of the Repossesion and the Charge Off Bad Debt in that I have a completely justified complaint. Thank you for your comments T-S

I am so sorry! I am also having a problem with them! I signed up for installment payments, received a letter saying that it was accepted, only to have them NOT take the payment automatically then report this to all three credit bureaus! I am furious. I've sent letters and documentation via fax, certified mail & email. NOTHING!
I have read complaint after complaint after complaint about this happening to so many people and I don't get how they get away with this? SOMEONE HELP! Class action?

Wells Fargo refinance of lot loan

Had a 5 year lot loan with Wells Fargo for our future retirement home at the shore. Decided not build yet, so thought it wouldn't be a problem just to refinance it through them. After all, we had our 15 yr. home mortgage through them also (to be paid in full in 5 yrs), had good credit, had never been delinquent on any loan during a 30 year marriage. Banks should like us as clients, right?
Wells Fargo agreed to refinance the loan in January. In March, we were still waiting after having to turn over every shred of our life history, sometimes two or three times because they "lost" the paperwork. Our loan officer told us that Wells Fargo "may or may not" cancel our automatic payments on our old loan while the new loan was processing. He stated that there would be no ramifications either way because we were in their system. Wrong! The entire process took three months to complete. Wells Fargo did cancel our loan payment starting in February. The same week we received the new loan contract (with a substantially higher interest rate and horrible terms) we received a letter from them telling us we were delinquent on our old loan and would be foreclosed upon if we didn't pay them immediately for delinquent months. Tried to complain. Customer service always had a 121 minute wait. Every person we had worked with in their system blamed someone else. In the end, we sent in a certified check for the "delinquent" amount for lack of any better solution. It was then that we discovered that Wells Fargo had turned us in to a credit bureau for delinquency! We will NEVER do business with this mega bank again. The worst part is, we have no recourse but this website for a ruined credit rating and months of frustration. Oh, and by the way, now they can't find the $4, 000 certified check we sent them either.

Dealt with Wells Fargo while I was refinancing, I locked into a rate at a time when the rates were plummeting . Every time I called my broker at Wells Fargo to exercise my free float down, he told me either their rates stayed the same or went up that day. These guys are making money on the spread between the rate they offer you and the rate they get from the lender. My advice stay away from Wells Fargo - their brokers are sleazy snake oil salesman. Their strategy is to make you feel like you're barely qualifying for the loan, meanwhile they are typically .25 -.50 higher than smaller banks. Do yourself a favor, avoid the big banks, especially Wells Fargo and go with a small bank or credit union. Much lower fees, no points, better rates and best of all you can avoid the dregs of society - the dreaded mortgage broker, they are totally useless today.

Wells Fargo discrimination and mental abuse

Wachovia opened up a checking account with me. They said I had to have $50.00 in my account for a week; which I think is 7 days! Okey I did that, and they said they would order a check card for me. Well, they said it would come to my home address 4001 Durham Ln.

I went to the bank today a teller said that the card was sent back to the bank because they showed an address at Old Potters Rd. Then, the teller said it will be here today.Guess what? No bank check card in the mailbox. I feel I have been discriminated against. Every since I’ve been dealing with banks in Charlotte, I seem to have my accounts prolonged over into having to deal with i.d.theft, money being missing from my account, and insufficient funds.

I would like to take a small action suit against this particular company for mental abuse; thinking they would be sending me my bank card after several attempts to keep an account open.

Wells Fargo atm ate my money

Wells fargo atm machine "ate" my money!

Late february 2011, I went to wells fargo in valencia, california (mc bean and decoro) where made an atm deposit of $ 1, 900 cash, atm machine crashes... then returns $ 1, 500, atm machine stills beeping, I go inside the branch to get a banker, we both went to the atm which stills beeping, minutes later machine returns another $ 300, leaving $ 100 inside.
Banker calls wells fargo customer service, they finally issued a $ 100 credit.
Now, month and a half later, I receive a letter from wells fargo stating the will reverse that $ 100 credit...
Isn't that called stealling?
I wont trust on wells fargo and their atms anymore!

I then immediately called Wells Fargo customer service and I was told I have to make a claim, I was yelling why the money say it was debited it never reversed back to my account as I was yelling so upset, I was then transferred to the claims department were I was given a claim #, he explained to me it is still a process we have to investigate and that they couldn’t credit my account right away because it’s a Wells Fargo atm problem, and I have to let them go through all the important processes, I don’t understand why because it’s cameras were they can clearly see me in distress, it is physical evidence! So I started crying am also on my way to work that starts at 7am! So what a horrible experience, the whole day at work am crying cause I need money I feel as if the bank robed meI kept calling wells Fargo but it’s a process! Then the next day come which is Friday still nothing in my account, I then called claims department again, it was updated that it was investigated but since it’s the weekend it should be handled by Monday morning, he ensured me not to worry cause I was crying mad saying that’s my money and why it’s a slow process I need my money now, so upset, still no credit , then I check my email this morning which today is june25,2023, claims department update, but no credit yet, this is no fun atm takes my money and wells Fargo is taking 4 days so far tomorrow will be the 5th day, this happened june22 at around 6:22am still not resolved! On May 26, 2011 we went to the Wells Fargo bank ATM in Flagstaff, AZ to withdraw $800. In the middle of the transaction the ATM spit out her card and the transaction report and then shut down. A screen popped up saying that the ATM was out of service. No money was dispensed. We talked to the Wells Fargo manager but he was of little help. I called the Wells Fargo 800 number. Both the manager and the phone customer service employee stated that they could not help us and could not give us a transaction report showing the failure of the ATM. Despite the fact that the manager said that the ATM has had similar problems and that it was the ATM that failed we are being told that we needed to file a "card claim" with the bank that holds the account that we wanted to take the money from (we have a Wells Fargo account and were using the Wells Fargo ATM to take money from another account). The best they would offer is to tell us that at midnight the computer would reconcile any differences and our account would be credited with the $800. After an hour and a half of talking with the Wells Fargo people we decided to leave. This morning we went to an ATM and checked the account balance. The $800 had not been credited back to our account. We want to know how we can get our $800 back and are curious how often this happens to other people.

Given that Wells Fargo is aware that the ATM has failed in the past, Wells Fargo has records showing that the ATM failed to dispense our $800.00 and understand that we are traveling through the area and need to resolve this matter as soon as possible there is no reason for Wells Fargo to withhold our $800.00 from us.

Wells Fargo loan modification

I have tried twice for a loan modification. The first time was told I didn't make enough money, so got another PT job and applied again. I was told I made enough money but was not in any imminent danger of foreclosure so was denied again. Basically I was told I needed to miss some payments in order to even be considered for a modification. I wrote letters and called to the presidents and received a letter stating that I can not get a loan modification at this time. I have never missed a payment since 1997 when I bought my house. They seem to change rules daily. They have now automatically added my property taxes to my monthly payment when I have been making my prop. tax payments separately. They also cut off my line of credit even though I have not used this account in months. It seems their way of doing business is a complete joke.

Wells Fargo frozen account

I spoke with Wells Fargo bank on Thursday March 31, 2011. I have direct deposit and to my surprise the bank held my entire pay check. My account online showed my direct deposit as pending, in which, I could not withdrawal any monies. The reason that Loss Prevention stated I was having my account placed on the hold was that I had non-sufficient funds (which of course the bank received their $52.00 for this non-sufficient amount). The bank in loss prevention stated they were closing my account due to the two non-sufficient funds. I am at this point very concerned why I cannot obtain my money.
On April 1, 2011, I noticed the pending action is not on my account and it shows to me that my funds are available, but yet I cannot withdrawal my money. I was not informed by phone or email of any closure on my account prior to my direct deposit only to be shockingly surprised when I go to the bank to obtain $20.00 that my ATM was not working. I have direct deposit so there should be no question as to the bank receiving good funds to cover any necessary fees for non-sufficient funds. I was advised to call again on Monday, April 04, 2011 to see if the bank would release my funds. Yet again, another surprise the bank failed to inform me of is that they are not giving me my money back and that I have a prior account with them that is in debt of $2, 000.00 which comes to a surprise to me as well. I feel the proper way to handle business with them knowing I had a prior account that was due money that the bank would be professional enough to inform me at the time I opened my new account on February 28, 2011 so that way I could make arrangements for this past due amount to be paid on a monthly term instead of going the back door under minded way-- which not only disrupts my personal financial life, but makes me more aware that I will NEVER do business with another financial institution that can control my monies. There still can be a better way to handle this situation then to strip a person from their daily living. This is how I pay my bills and take care of my family in this bad economy. The best way and decent way Wells Fargo could of handled this was to tell me of this outstanding balance when I opened my account on February 28, 2011 and o make arrangements, instead they tip toed around it and took my full pay check without any warning. There must be laws to protect the consumer.

Wells Fargo sudden fees

Wells Fargo lured me to sign up with a business checking account that had no fees. I was going to sign up with a different bank and so the guy at my local branch offered me a special deal. Interestingly he insisted that I must ALSO sign up for a "savings account" with my PMA checking account. It was all free, he said. Well fast forward a year later. Suddenly I see "annual fees" on my statement! I called the 800 number and they would not remove the charges. So I called my local branch and they removed the fees and apologized for the mistake. Now 3 months later I just noticed that they have been billing me $20 a month! I called the 800 number and the SOB in customer care says "I can only reverse charges going back 30 days". How convenient that they pulled a bait and switch and if you don't catch it within 30 days you're screwed! I am having nothing of that and will call the local branch to raise hell again. I'll take them to small claims if I have to. Somebody's gotta stand up to this BS.

The lesson learned is DON'T expect Wells Fargo to adhere to their original agreement and don't expect them to notify you if they change the rules in the middle of the game.

That's right. Lured. I was going to sign up with a different bank that was offering me no fees, so they said they'd match the other bank's no-fee deal. You're obviously not a lawyer -- evidently just an idiot. What matters in a contract is the original agreement -- not what happens afterward. That's called bait and switch.

They just did the same to me. I was told account had no fees as I had a brokerage account with Wells. I had no fees for two months. Then they started applying $30 per month. Charges. If they don't remove them I'm going to close the account.
