I believe there is a misunderstanding. We have reached out to you to try to determine what package you are referring to, but have not heard back from you so our response to this will be a bit generic.

Customer service is our top priority at Vyking Ship and what we are known for. So if one of our customer service representative is unable to provide further information it is because the carrier (USPS/DHL/FedEx) is not providing us with any additional information. We understand the frustration surrounding a delayed or lost package but once the package is in the custody of the carrier, we are at the mercy of that carrier to do their job correctly and provide us with the details when they have failed to do so.

Each one of our shipping methods does have an estimated time of delivery. These are estimates provided by those carriers but generally they are accurate, the one exception is USPS First Class. With USPS First Class the Unites States Postal Service makes no guarantee of shipping duration and the duration can vary from shipment to shipment going to the same address. The other frustrating thing about USPS First Class is that the USPS does not require updates from the destination postal service (they transfer custody of the package to the destination country's Postal Service once it arrives in that country) so the USPS is not able to update the tracking for USPS First Class packages nor are they able to tell us anything about the package and its estimated time of delivery unless the destination Postal Service provides them with that information. Those First Class packages also can get caught in Customs for a few weeks due to their low priority; also something that the USPS is unable to foresee or estimate the duration of.

If your package was shipped by any method except for USPS First Class, then we have likely already opened an inquiry and are awaiting any details from the carrier. If your package was shipped by USPS First Class then, as much as we don't want to say it, we have no way to compel the USPS to provide us any updates and the only thing we can recommend is to wait for it to eventually be delivered - which almost all of them are (eventually).

We would still like to hear from you so that we can know what the situation is with your package, but we cannot guarantee any additional information if the carrier does not provide it.

My name is Clinton and I am the main point of contact for almost all of our customers - I handle the customer service for Vyking Ship.

I must respectfully disagree with this complaint. Every day I am available during our office hours by phone, email, and chat. If you try to reach us on Chat after hours I receive an email notifying me that you attempted to contact us after hours. Every morning I respond to Every missed chat and all emails received after hours. If waiting until we have office hours to reach us is too long of a wait, I do apologize, but at this time we cannot maintain a 24/7 customer service presence. However, I can guarantee the quality of the customer service you will receive is on par with the best in the industry and I have never heard "not fast enough" with regard to our customer service or our shipping services; it is usually quite the opposite.

With regard to the details not being sent, I cannot be sure if they mean a package arriving at our warehouse or one shipped from our warehouse, so I will respond to both:

Whenever we receive a package, we enter it into the account it belongs to the same day that we receive it. We do occasionally receive a package (we have 2 right now) that is not addressed to any suite/account number and the name on the package does not match any account holder. We do try to find the owner by emailing anyone with matching last names. In those cases where we cannot figure out who the package belongs to, we leave it up to our customers to inform us when they have not received a package that they were expecting. We have been able to resolve EVERY case like this when the customer has contacted us. The only time that a customer has been looking for a package and we don't have it is when that package was stopped mid-shipping and returned to sender by the merchants request. This typically occurs when the transaction was fraudulent (or suspected of fraudulence) and the merchant wants their item back. The tracking number would show that the package was delivered, but you need to look to see where it was delivered too - in all of those cases it was delivered back to the sender.

If the complaint is with regards to when we ship something out, be aware that every customer is emailed immediately upon shipping of the tracking number for their package. Each customer is also able to review their "Shipping History" from within their account where tracking numbers are likewise provided. If someone claims that they were never given their tracking number, it is likely that our emails to them are going to a spam folder and they are not checking their account "Shipping History".

I do want to thank the person who left this complaint for honestly acknowledging that we do not have any hidden fees. Our founding principle is our belief that communication is key. We don't have complicated pricing structures and we do aim to provide the best customer service the first time so that you don't waste time getting the answer you wanted from the start.

This is a very unfortunate situation and I would be happy to give assistance (support@vykingship.com), however your complaint is not with Vyking Ship. So I would ask that you please remove this from Complaints Board.

It sounds like the issue is either with the delivery service that was supposed to deliver it here or with the merchant.

I would suggest checking the tracking information to see if the package was returned to sender. Up until the package is delivered, a merchant can request the carrier to halt delivery and return the package to sender. Many merchants exercise this power when they believe the items shipped were purchased fraudulently (whether or not they actually were). If the package shows delivery in the same city as it was shipped from (see the history of tracking scans) then it was likely stopped and returned to sender.

If the tracking shows that the package was delivered in Minneapolis, but we never entered it into your account, please give us the tracking number so that we may see if it is one of the (currently) two packages that we have received that were not addressed to any person or account number that we have on file.

If the tracking shows that the package was delivered somewhere other than Minneapolis or the place of origination, there is a good chance that the carrier delivered it to the wrong address.
