VPI*Veterinary / Bad service

I have had a policy with VPI for over a year. My policy is the highest
coverage possible (and the most expensive monthly). I submitted two
claims for a minor ear infection. After two months, VPI still has not
paid out on the claims. Trying to call customer service is a joke. The
pre-recording says that there is over a ten-minute wait...but while
waiting there are numerous mysterious disconnections so I get to wait
all over again to call back. If-When I get through, VPI says claims
take 4-6 weeks to process. When I pointed out that it has been over 8
weeks, they just say that they "must be having larger than normal claims
submitted." When I tried to cancel the policy, they say that they will
*have* to continue to bill me for another month even though I tried to
cancel the policy 3 weeks before the next premium was due. This is a
company that is very good about taking your money...but don't look for
any "insurance" on your pet's medical care!
